Whimsical, heartwarming tale I had so much fun reading!! Thank you NetGalley and publisher for early arc of this book!

Magical realism might be my favorite genre, so I was looking forward to reading The Forget-Me-Not Library. It’s a sweet book that focuses on 2 main characters, one who lives in the town of Forget-Me-Not, and one who gets stuck there when her car mysteriously breaks down there. Each character is going through their own trauma, and the magic of the town works to heal it. This book picked up the further I got into it, and I enjoyed it. Thank you to #netgalley and #stmartinspress for the advance copy of this book. #forgetmenotlibrary

This book invites you in from the start. Juliet's car breaks down in a town called Forget -me-not and she's not thrilled. She's been traveling from town to town all summer after a freak lightning storm caused her to forget her childhood memories and killed her grandpa. As Juliet is looking for help she runs into an older man outside looking for her granddaughter, whom he's misplaced again.
Tallulah lives in the same town, and it's her daughter that's gone off being misplaced again. She works at the town library, where a cat will push books off shelves for your to relive memories. She's divorced and lives with her dad, and two young daughters.
This is a lovely story. Enjoy!

Heather Webber does it again! Forget-Me-Not is a magical Southern town full of lovable characters. When Juliet’s car breaks down In this town known for its healing powers, you can’t help but cheer her on as she looks to restore her memory and find herself again. Entwined in Juliet’s experience is newly settled Talullah who is full of hope that this town will turn into someplace she can call home.

3.5 stars. It's a heartwarming, cozy, magical story about a town, its library and the local cat. It's an easy read that leaves you feeling like you've been hugged.

This book was absolute perfection. It had the right amount of cozy, endearing, intrigue. I'm sad the leave this town and its characters behind. I've read almost all of Heather Webber's books, and this is easily top of my list. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being the best book I read this year.

The Forgot-Me-Not Library is a poignant, and beautiful read. Within its pages, Webber has created a gem of a town with a quirky cast of characters that will swiftly find their way into your hearts. Suffering from some traumatic events, Juliet has set off on a road trip in hopes of finding some healing. When detours and car trouble strand her in Forget-Me-Not, she is at a loss as to what to do next. The town quickly envelops her into their lives and she soon learns that no one lands here by accident. The town, with a little help from a special feline, offers her warmth, healing, and a future filled with more love than she thought she deserved. With just the right blend of hope, humor, romance, and a dash of magic, Webber has created another five star read. I finished this book with a smile on my face and a heart full of joy.

Heather Webber has done it again writing another amazing story of a lost soul who finds peace, answers and a second family when she arrives in the town of Forget Me Not. Honestly, after I read this book I had to ease back and take a break from picking up another book so I could digest the words Ms. Webber wrote.
I highly recommend this book especially to someone who needs to get away but can't leave town. Someone who wants to escape to a kind, friendly small town where even though people are dealing with life they are kind, gentle and friendly.
Kudos to Heather Webber for this feel good book.
My thanks to #NetGalley for the opportunity to early read in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Five + stars from me.

Heather Webber is back with another cozy romance with a touch of magic and cast of characters in a charming small town that is fun escapist reading. By the end, I was ready to take a quick roadtrip to Forget-Me-Not! I have a soft spot for stories with found families and communities that come together, I enjoy the intergenerational relationships between the characters and who can resist a library cat? So this was a light, enjoyable and quick read. Not a huge brain drain and a good palette cleanser in between tougher books or when you just want to kick back and relax with a book.
Many thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for this e-arc!

The Forget-Me-Not Library is a novel that I will never forget! It is such a heartwarming, uplifting and wonderful read. This came with an incredible storyline, lovable characters, great quotes and a beautiful friendship. I found the two main female characters to be quirky, sweet and understanding. It was a relaxing read that was filled with magical elements. This story made me feel happy, cry a lot and even made me laugh! I found this story to be extremely thought provoking. This is a medium paced read that has strong character development!
It comes with dual points of views, animals, and even a splash of romance! The story flows well, is well structured and is engaging. It is an easy to read book that is both plot and character driven. It expresses the flaws of the characters as the main focus. It is about second chances, healing, having human connections and finding your own purpose and meaning in life! I loved the small town vibes! This book will leave you feeling joyful and inspired!
This novel is about two women who come together in a magical realism way. Tallulah Byrd Mayfield is a newly singled Mom and Juliet Nightingale recently had a freak accident. They come together when a road detour leads Juliet to the Forget-Me-Not Library in Alabama, where Tallulah works. They form a tight bond and end up finding purpose in each other. Overall, I give this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars rating!
I think anyone that is looking to read something that is uplifting that includes second chances in life, would love to read this magical one of a kind book! Content warnings include grief and past trauma.
Thank you to NetGalley, author Heather Webber and St. Martin's Press for this digital advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
This book is expected to be published on November 4, 2025!

The Forget-Me-Not Library is an awesome novel of a place you don’t just stumble on but instead find your way there because it was meant to be. Set in Alabama, the story unfolds with mysteries that abound and Juliet is intrigued by the people she meets and relationships she begins to form. One of the favorite facts about the library itself….there has always been a library cat!. Author Heather Webber has a way of drawing you into the story with her words which make you feel like you are a living part of it and you never want it to end . A not to be missed novel, five stars for The Forget-Me-Not library, the library cat, the town and all who live there!

Juliet Nightingale finds herself in the town of Forget-Me-Not, following a detour and her car breaking down and the engine blowing smoke. Forget-Me-Not is not just any small town. Its a town full of loving, caring people and a place where you go to heal, to grow or find the help you need. Juliet is trying to heal from the loss of her beloved grandfather who died when a bolt of lightning hit both of them. Juliet survived, but lost part of her memory. Her road trip to heal, and find her memories is what brings her to Forget-Me-Not.
Heather Webber has once again created a story full of loving, wonderful people. Her characters are all fully developed and all of them people, I promise, you'd love to meet! I want to go to Forget-Me-Not, just like I've wanted to visit all of the other towns created in Heather Webber's imagination! A wonderful, wonderful book!

BOOK REPORT
Received a complimentary copy The Forget-Me-Not Library, by Heather Webber, from St. Martin's Press/NetGalley, for which I am appreciative, in exchange for a fair and honest review. Scroll past the BOOK REPORT section for a cut-and-paste of the DESCRIPTION of it from them if you want to read my thoughts on the book in the context of that summary.
Going forward, I need to remember that when I am not feeling well, a book by Heather Webber is the equivalent of a very soft, pleasant-smelling blanket of just the right weight to have whilst convalescing on the couch.
Comforting, in short.
Now, I’m not actually sick, just dealing with a variety of minor aches and pains. Oh, and having a complete and total breakdown over coffee and the headlines every morning (writing this in May of 2025, God help us all). But, still, this book was some sweet medicine for the soul—even if _somewhat_ formulaic/predictable and all mushy-mushy on the romance front.
But, Alabama? Magical realism? Cats? In a library?
You had to know I was gonna do my best to love it.
PS
FTR: This book referenced bibliosmia and the one I just finished before it (Before I Forget by Tory Henwood Hoen) referenced bibliomancy. Something in the zeitgeist…..
DESCRIPTION
A detour. A chance encounter. Two women who alter the pages of each other’s story.
Juliet Nightingale is lucky to be alive. Months after a freak accident involving lightning, she’s fully recovered but is left feeling that something is missing from her life. Something big. Impulsively, she decides to take a solo summer road trip, hoping that the journey will lead her down a path that will help her discover exactly what it is that she’s searching for.
Newly single mom Tallulah Byrd Mayfield is hanging by a thread after her neat, tidy world was completely undone when her husband decided that their marriage was over. In the aftermath of the breakup, she and her two daughters move in with her eighty-year-old grandfather. Tallulah starts a new job at the Forget-Me-Not Library, where old, treasured memories can be found within the books—and where Lu must learn to adapt to the many changes thrown her way.
When a road detour leads Juliet to Forget-Me-Not, Alabama, and straight into Tallulah’s life, the two women soon discover there’s magic in between the pages of where you’ve been and where you still need to go. And that happiness, even when lost, can always be found again.

She took a road trip to find what was missing… and ended up rewriting her story. This one felt like a warm hug and a fresh start. Two women. One detour. A small-town library that stitched their lives back together. 5 stars for the heart, the healing, and the hope.

After the loss of her grandfather, whom she can't remember, and an unfortunate encounter with lightning, Julie believes she is on the road to recovery as she embarks on a road trip. However, she still struggles with faint memories of her past, and her heart aches for the memories of her beloved grandfather.
Although originally from Michigan, on a road trip, Julie takes an unexpected detour to the small town of Forget Me Not, Alabama, when her car begins to smoke and eventually breaks down in a residential neighborhood. Surrounded by friendly locals, she is surprised when a tow truck mysteriously appears to assist her.
Tallulah, a newly divorced single mother living with her 80-year-old grandfather and her two young daughters, works at the Forget Me Not Library. Coincidentally, Julie’s car comes to a halt right in front of Tallulah’s grandfather’s house. He insists that Julie stay with them until her car can be repaired, which may take several weeks due to the difficulty of sourcing parts. Reluctantly, Julie agrees and soon finds herself welcomed into the community, forming bonds with the friendly neighbors.
Initially skeptical about taking in a stranger, Tallulah and Julie quickly become good friends. The two women discover that even when feeling lost, it's always possible to find a new path—and that new direction might be even better than the one they had before.
The characters in the delightful, often whimsical, heartwarming story, are loveable and memorable. One of my favorites is 7-year-old Katy, who declares a person is never too old to read in the arm of a tree.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All comments and opinions are my own.

Heather Webber has quickly become an auto-buy author for me. Her books feel like a hug. The stories are heartwarming tales of found family and personal acceptance. This continues to be true for the Forget-Me-Not Library.
This book was very good, but did start out a bit slow. There are a lot of characters to learn and keep straight, and I would say that took until about the 30% (or more) mark. Additionally, the story is pretty predictable. Although there are some slight twists at the end, I would not say that any of them are shocking. Instead, they are more a logical follow-through of the story.
If you are looking for a sweet, found family story, where all the plot lines are resolved in the end - this is a great read. If you are looking for tension and angst, definitely look elsewhere.

This story is heartwarming and a beautiful read. It follows the perspective of two women who are dealing with grief, love, and finding themselves. And navigating a friendship between them as well.
One thing I really loved about this book was that the magic system was very subtle. As an avid, fantasy reader, I am used to elaborate magic systems, but I loved how gentle the magic was in this book. It just added to the charm of the world building.
I will admit that I cried for about 20% of this book. Not just because of grief but also because of all the heartfelt moments there were. This book was written so beautifully and was a light yet emotional read.
Thank you so much Net Galley, St. Martin’s Press, and Heather Webber for this early e-copy to read. I will be pick up a copy in November when it releases.

Heather Webber always writes a wonderful story and The Forget-Me-Not Library is no exception. I loved this one and think each book she writes is even better than the last. It has just the right touch of magical realism that almost makes you believe. It takes place in a small town called Forget-Me-Not, Alabama. Tallulah and Juliet are the main characters, both single women in need of healing. All the characters are people you would want as friends. I definitely recommend this one. Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

I’m a huge Webber fan so I was so excited to see her new book was coming out. She writes small towns you want to visit and never leave. The magical realism in each novel makes you believe in that little bit of magic in the world.
This felt like a warm hug for booklovers and library fans.
