Get Lost With You
By Sophie Sullivan

Jillian Keller and her first love, Levi Bright have returned to their home town, Smile somewhere around Mackinac Island, Michigan. Jillian, 31, has returned in probably book one of this series when her brother, Beckett falls in love. Levi, slightly older, returns in this the second book of the series.
Jillian and Levi had a near miss of a relationship when Levi left town at 17 to become a chef. Jillian left after high school to marry an older loser named Andrew. Jilly is now divorced and she and her daughter, Ollie now 9 haven’t seen him ( Andrew or Levi) in years.
As you can imagine, Jilly is jaded about love. She doesn’t want to take a risk with her first almost love who has come back for good and instantly falls right into place with her family and their Get Lost Lodge which Jilly helps run with her, oldest brother Greyson. Jilly and Ollie live with her parents.

So she has a secure job, home, babysitters and a guy who is instantly back in love with her but she doesn’t want to take a “risk.” In my opinion, the story was way too long for as little that happens, sexy times were boring and boring things were described in great detail. Jilly is insecure to say the least. Levi came back to help his Dad who is a jerk to him for leaving at 17. Jilly’s family is perfect except they make decisions and tell her last.

The name Ollie for a girl has been in multiple romances I have read lately. Not a fan of the name or the narrator for the audiobook. The trend seems to be quirky voiced female narrators with no male counterpart. I am sure sweet is what the author is going for but I felt more snooze. I prefer more depth, humor and sexy. Intimate scenes didn’t feel intimate. Nothing technically wrong but nothing stands out for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Griffin for an advance audiobook to listen.

This was a pretty cute romance, I think it is the second or third book I have read by Sophie Sullivan. I also enjoyed the audiobook narrator.

I'm going to start by saying that even though i didn't really like the book, the narrator, Allyson Morgan, did a great job in telling the story. If it wasn't for her i would have probably dnf this book.
The reason why is primarly the way all dialogues are constructed, it feels like it's explaing what is happening instead of showing it. I also found the entire cast of characters very childish, it almost felt like it was a middle school romance where the main characters where 30+ years old. Also the decision of making them a couple 30% in is realistic but not intresting.
Thank you to netgalley and rb media for the e-arc.

Audiobook Review: Get Lost with You by Sophie Sullivan, narrated by Allyson Morgan

In a nutshell:

• High school crush
• Chef MMC
• Found family

Spice level: 1/5🔥

My thoughts:
I shipped Jillian and Levi from the get-go because it was clear how much they truly care for each other. Having grown up together, they are friends, almost family, they have deep respect for each other, and both want the other to be well. I loved this aspect of the story, it felt very healthy and mature.

While a bit slow in the first half, and I could’ve used some more pining before they get together, the story picked up in the second half, introducing some real-life challenges that the characters had to navigate their way through. I related a lot to Jillian being an insecure mess, doubting herself, fearing big life decisions and getting overwhelmed. The way her family and Levi deal with this and support her is unmatched, we all deserve such a strong support system. Levi is the perfect book boyfriend, he might have ruined men for me because what he does for Jillian !!! Are you joking?! Perfection!! He knows exactly what Jillian needs, he loves her fully and sincerely, he is patient and understanding with her considering her romantic history, and he is loyal through and through. Not to mention he is good-looking, a great cook and loves Jillian’s daughter, Ollie, like his own. Speaking of Ollie, I loved her character. She was sweet but sassy, smart, outspoken, kind, and a bit of a little Cupid. Protect Ollie at all costs!

I have read this as an audiobook and the narrator, Allyson Morgan, was great. She made the different character voices distinguishable and kept a good pace for the most part. Sometimes, it felt a tad too fast for me, and I had to rewind, but I did listen to it while being sick, so I think that’s on me. The book has some mixed media (mainly text messages) and some chapter breaks, which the narrator marked well to not confuse the reader. The audio format fits this light, fluffy, fast-paced read.

Overall, I had a great time reading this book and would recommend it to romance girlies looking for their next comfort read.

Thank you RBmedia | Recorded Books for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Third Person POV

Get Lost with You is an adorable, slow-burn, sweet story of a childhood crush, friends to lovers. You know that "green flag" guy on TikTok/YT-yeah he's waving it while running back and forth throughout this novel.

Our female main character is a single mother who returns to her hometown and starts a new life after an ugly divorce. (Fair warning: cheating from the divorced husband.) Our male main character, on the other hand, comes back home after having had a successful career as a chef.

The scenery of this small town is swoon-worthy, and my favorite is while they are working at her brother's Get Lost Lodge resort.

If you're looking for a cuteness, small-town romance, Get Lost Lodge is for you!

I adored this book! It’s the story of Jilly who recently returned to her home town of Smile to help her brother run his inn, and her brothers best friend, Levi, who returned home as well hoping to fulfill his dreams that he hasn’t been able to in the big city. As teenagers, they held a mutual crush that went unfulfilled, however when they see each other years later, sparks fly. This is the story of their budding romance, filled with themes of single mother, brothers best friend, family drama and second chance romance. The issues faced and the obstacles they overcame felt very real and relatable. I know so many readers of all ages will enjoy this book. I’ll definitely be recommending it! .

Sophie Sullivan is a must read for me. I don’t need to even read the synopsis or any reviews, I just know I’ll love her heart felt, tender, inspiring romances. Get Lost with You is no exception. I love Jillian and Levi’s love story, friendship and chemistry. This is the second book in this series, and you don’t need to read the first to enjoy this one, but if you did, it’s nice to catch up with the characters from the first one. Perfect summer beach read!

So this story had some good moments, but overall, I'm afraid it just wasn't for me. The MCs got together way too fast which made so much of the book just seem like filler. There was a ton of angst which I don't love and so much of the language/profanity just seemed thrown in and totally unnecessary. The more intimate scenes were rushed and stilted, skirting open door, but not really committing either way. Instead, those scenes just felt stuck in an uncomfortable in-between.

I did enjoy the small town vibes of Smile. There were some amazing side characters and I really appreciated the bond between Jillian and her brothers. There were some nice themes of forgiveness and healing and even though I haven't read the first book in the series, there were several fun cameos of the couple from that story.

I really had to talk myself into finishing this one and unfortunately I can't say that I'll be reaching for another Sophie Sullivan book anytime soon.

Sophie Sullivan is back at it again with this one. She was already a favorite of mine, but she hit it out of the park with this one. I had such a fantastic time! Great chemistry, great plot, great character development. Loved it.

Get Lost With You is my first Sophie Sullivan book. This second book in the Rock Bottom Love series follows main characters Jillian and Levi.

The second chance at first love, with a small town, and family around just gave me all the feels. The dual point of view gave more insight for both main characters which is always appreciated. Although some miscommunications still happened I enjoyed that they took the problem head on and actually worked it out.

Also I liked that Ollie was represented as an 8 year old both with her actions and mannerisms. I could see my own son in a few things she did and thought this character was well thought out.

Get ready for a sweet and spicy romance with a couple that is easy to root for!

Levi and Jillian had childhood crushes on each other, but it never went anywhere. It actually was rather a disaster with a scar to prove it! Now they are fully grown and once again reunited.

Thank you to NetGalley and RBmedia for the opportunity to enjoy this audiobook!

Thank you to @netgalley and @stmartinspress for a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. Thank you to RB Media for a free copy of the audiobook.

Sophie Sullivan's 'Get Lost with You' offers a charming and heartwarming romance centered on Jillian, a dedicated single mother, and Levi, her childhood crush turned successful chef. The audio narration by Allyson Morgan was a genuine highlight, bringing warmth and authenticity to the characters, making them feel relatable and engaging. The story itself is undeniably sweet and enjoyable, a perfect comfort read.

However, a few narrative choices prevented me from fully immersing myself in the story. Levi's insistence on adhering to 'guy code' by seeking permission to date Jillian, despite already engaging in flirtatious and physical interactions, felt jarring and inconsistent. It created a sense of artificial conflict that detracted from the natural flow of their budding romance.

Additionally, the resolution of the conflict with Jillian's child's father felt rushed and underdeveloped. While I appreciate the attempt to introduce a realistic challenge, the issue was resolved so quickly that it lacked the emotional weight it deserved. It seemed like a plot point introduced for the sake of drama, only to be dismissed moments later.

Despite these minor frustrations, 'Get Lost with You' remains a pleasant and lighthearted read. The strong narration and the undeniable chemistry between Jillian and Levi make it easy to overlook the few narrative hiccups. If you're looking for a feel-good romance with engaging characters and a sweet storyline, this book is certainly worth your time.

This was a fun, sweet romance. Cute. Lighthearted. It was a bit slow for me pretty much throughout the whole book. But, it’s well written with good character growth. This is a second chances, friends to lovers story with a single mom and a small town. There was some funny parts. Good emotion. It didn’t blow me away, but it was very enjoyable. The audiobook narrator did a good job of bringing this one to life.

Get Lost with You is the second romance book in the Rock Bottom Love series. Jilly is settled back into her life in Smile with her nine year old daughter when a blast from the past comes back in the form of Levi Bright. Levi has been away from town for years living his dream of becoming a chef in a big city, but it’s time for change. Levi missed his hometown and is happy to be back, now he just needs to figure out a new job that includes his love of cooking. When Jilly and Levi run into each other, literally, it doesn’t take long for them to reconnect. They seem to be exactly what the other was missing, will they be able to make a relationship work?

This is the first book I’ve read in this series so it was my first time being introduce to Smile. The town was cute and there was a good assortment of characters. I did like both Jilly and Levi and thought their story was sweet, but something fell short in this romance for me. It could have been because I listened to the audiobook and k wasn’t a huge fan of the narration. I just wasn’t pulled into the story like I had hoped I would be. There was nothing wrong with this romance and I can’t exactly pinpoint what didn’t connect for me, but I wish I would have connected more with it. Anyway this was a sweet romance that I’m sure others will enjoy, it just fell a little flat for me. I’m definitely open to reading more by this author though!

The small town vibes of everyone knowing everyone. The second chance romance where secret crushes of childhood friends who both returned home to Smile reunite and sparks fly. Jilly and her daughter Ollie came back to Smile so that they live and work at Jillys brothers resort, Get Lost Ranch. Jilly moved back after a messy ugly divorce and Levi was just looking for a new beginning and to rekindle the relationship with his father after a health scare. Jilly and Levi run into each other at the ranch and thats when sparks start flying. Levi who left behind his career as a chef in New York City, and takes a job as chef at the resort.

Jilly has to fight her attraction to Levi. Levi came back to Smile to try to mend a relationship with his father. Levi realizes really quick that he wants Jilly and Ollie in his life. Jilly just coming from a messy divorce and is reluctant because of being so hurt in her former marriage. As the resort gets busier they have to work closer together and Levi falls more for Jilly as everyday goes on.

I loved this book it put a smile on my face the whole time I was listening to it. It was on of those audiobooks I listened to in a little over a day. I loved the connection and relationship that Jilly and Levi build and how much Ollie loves having Levi as part of her life.

This is the second book in this series by Sophie Sullivan, but i do think you can read this as a standalone, you just get more knowledge on all dynamics of the Get Lost Ranch.

Read this if you like:
Dual POV
Small town Romance
Second chance Romance
Single Parent
New Beginnings
Brother's best friend
Childhood friends turned Lovers

I love Sophie Sullivan and Get Lost with You didn’t disappoint! It’s another great stand alone, but also had characters from Love, Naturally throughout the storyline as well. Ollie is as cute as ever, and the town is just as charming! It is a wonderful feel-good read that also takes into consideration the tough aspects of growing up, past relationships, and parenthood.

⭐️ Rating: 2 stars
🎙️Audiobook? Yes. The narration was probably one of the better parts of this book for me
📚 Vibe Check: Small-Town boy returns home from the big-city and immediately rekindles his feelings for his high school crush.

💭 My Thoughts While Reading: What Worked for Me 👍
🔹 The setting- My mom was born in Michigan, so I spent alot of time there visiting family growing up. So of course, we went to Mackinac Island for fun, so this setting felt familiar and cozy to me.
🔹 The MMC- He was a cinnamon roll, and had alot of emotional intelligence. He was also very confident, and able to express his feelings and emotions well.

My Thoughts While Reading: What Didn’t Work for Me 👎
🔹 The FMC- Honestly, I didn't like her a single bit. She was self-absorbed, and oblivious to alot of the world around her. She had absolutely no emotional intelligence and acted like a spoiled brat throughout the story. Some of the decisions she made felt like how a middle schooler would react, and it made me progressively more and more angry throughout the book.
🔹 The third-act break up- This is what frustrated me MOST of all. The reason for their "break up" was so incredibly juvenile and felt like it was just grasping at straws to throw any kind of conflict in to keep the book from being overly sweet. However, I would have preferred for there to be no conflict the entire time, and for the romance to be sweet and easy.

🔥 Final Verdict: While this book wasn't a good fit for me, if you want fairly low conflict (except for perhaps the conflict you will have with yourself over whether or not you should keep reading after the FMC frustrates you for the 2345987 time) then you will likely enjoy this book. The setting was definitely cozy and fun to read about.

3 stars. A sweet romance.

I guess this book was sweet, but I didn't feel very interested in the story or the characters. I finished it so it wasn't bad, and maybe this is a "it's me, not the book" situation? However, I feel that it was absolutely too long. It went on and on. I think it could have easily been 20% shorter.

WHAT I LIKED: The narrator was good, it was nice to listen to. The characters were
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE: It was too long and, well, a bit boring.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Pov: dual, 3rd person
Heat: fade to black
Pacing: slowburn
Communication: some miscommunication
Third act: break up
Ending: HEA

* Friends to lovers
* Single parent

What?
