I had high expectations for this one after reading Sophie Sullivan’s Can’t Help Falling in Love and it was everything I had hoped for. It is a sweet and swoonworthy romance with a picturesque setting. There’s just something about the lodge/camp vibe that had me completely drawn in. This one had some of my favorite tropes with second chance romance and forced proximity and I loved Jilly’s growth throughout the story! I enjoyed the narration and felt it fit the author’s/characters voice well.

I really did not enjoy this book. Tropes: second chance, single mom, small town, dual POV. Get Lost With You is the second in the Rock Bottom Love series but acts as a standalone (I didn’t read the first one and don’t feel like I missed anything). There was nothing unique or interesting about this book that stuck with me. It was kind of a quick (but I wish it was quicker), mindless listen. 2 stars

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to the audiobook Get Lost With You.

This was a quick, cute read! The mutual pining was really sweet and I loved how patient Levi was. I wish there had been a little more tension in the story because they both know they like each other pretty quickly so there weren't any big obstacles. But if you're looking for a cozy, low-stakes story this is perfect!

Tropes:
✨Childhood crush/mutual pining
✨Dual pov
✨Brothers best friend
✨Single mom (of a 9 year old)

This audio was lovely to listen to while I was getting chores done. The narrator did a lovely job with both chapters. I wish they had hired two narrators because I prefer to have dual narration for dual pov books. As it was I had a fun time with this book.

Jillian is living with her parents and working with her brothers when her long-time crush and brother’s best friend returns to town. It does not take long for Levi and Jillian to have sparks fly. Levi is even enamored with Jilly’s daughter. But romance can be hard when one in the pair is afraid to open up to love. The town is a delightful added ambiance and the side characters add a lot of humor to the story.

I did not read the book about Jilly’s brother and his partner but it was not really needed. I found myself really enjoying this one. I would read more from this author, and may go back when I find some spare reading time in my schedule

The narration was good but with parts focusing on Levi, it would have been nice to have two narrators.

Thank you to Net Galley, RB Media, and Recorded Books for the DLC. All opinions are my own.

4/5

When I first heard about this book, I didn’t know it was second in a series so I was a bit nervous going in and didn’t want to feel lost. I read another Sophie Sullivan book and felt that way but this one was a lot better! I felt included in the world instead of feeling like an outsider who popped up and had no idea what was going on.

And that’s kind of the only positive thing I have to say about this one… the romance was SO FAST PACED and there was no LONGING. I know they are childhood friends/best friends sister type situation but still! Dude moved back to town and within a week they were completely together. Just because you two last had feelings for each other in high school doesn’t mean you have to act like you’re in high school.

Because of that, a very annoying FMC, and some cringey writing, this wasn’t for me.

I was going to go back and read Beckett and Presley’s book, but I don’t think this is an author for me.

Jilly is a divorced single mom who has returned to her hometown and is working on the family business, while Levi is her childhood crush with whom she shared a *moment* before he left for the big city to pursue his culinary dreams, but their reunion of course reignites old feelings. I recommend Get Lost with You for anyone interested in a delightful blend of family-oriented, wilderness-adjacent, second chance, single mom, brother's best friend, small town romance goodness. I enjoyed the narration on this audiobook, but I will pretty much always prefer dual narration when it's a dual POV romance.

Thank you to RBmedia for gifting me with an ALC to review! All opinions are my own.

Jillian Keller had to survive an awful marriage before moving back in with her parents along with her wonderful little girl. She's set up a life full of friends and family and convinced herself she has it all, until a boy from her past returns to town and shakes things up. Levi Bright left Smile to pursue his dream of being a chef. He left his family, his best friends, and their little sister, the girl he always had a crush on but never dared pursue. Now, they're back together and realizing that the seeds of feelings from their youth could grow into so much more if only they're brave enough to give it a chance.

I say the following with nothing but love: this book is pure, unadulterated fluff. And that's the reason why I enjoyed it so much. There are challenges, but they're the simple ones that everyone faces at one time or another of having to decide what to do with your life and where/how you want to live. There's no unnecessary drama beyond the mandatory third-act breakup that doesn't really feel like a breakup. You know these characters are meant to be and everything and everyone around them supports them. It's great to read a romance where the leads are mature enough to know what they want and ready to take on the work of an adult relationship. The fact that it's set in a small town that feels adorably like an extended family is just icing on the cake.

Allyson Morgan does a good job of narrating with emotion while keeping things light. She manages to make emotional scenes hit just the right level of seriousness without weighing down the overall sweetness of the story. I did have a couple of moments where I wasn't entirely sure who was talking, but nothing major.

Very happy thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin's Griffin, and RBmedia for the sweet romance read!

I was obsessed with this book. I love second-chance romances and Get Lost with You was the perfect example of this trope. The characters are fantastic, and I loved the chemistry between Jillian and Levi. Although some readers may describe the romance as insta-love, I feel that the character's past allowed me to get past the fact that their romance was almost immediate. This is the second book in the series and as someone who has not read the first book, I can definitely say that you can read this book as a standalone. However, I will be going back and reading book one in the future.

Thank you to NetGalley and RB Media for the opportunity to review Get Lost with You. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book was cute!!

I listened to this one, and I think I would like it better if I read a physical or ebook copy. I love a good second chance/childhood friends to lovers trope so this was right up my alley!

I wanna give it another shot and read with my eyes before I say too much more :)

Get Lost with You was a sweet second chance romance that would be great for fans of this trope. A missed opportunity in high school between the two main characters becomes a real possibility when our MMC moves back home after leaving his small home town to become a chef in a big city. I had mixed feelings with this one. I appreciated how the book dealt with the family dynamics of healing the MMC and his dad's relationship and the way in which the couple have to lear to communicate, but while the beats were all there in the right places, their was very little chemistry between them to me. I felt that all of the characters were flat and that the book was going through the motions a lot of the time without building any real investment. It was still enjoyable, but nothing very new or exciting.

Sadly, after having just the book text I started to listen to this audiobook as well and the narrator did not add anything to it. Sometimes a good narrator can make a drier feeling book more exciting, but I found myself just as disconnected. It isn't bad, it just doesn't move it out of the realm of "okay"

Thank you NetGalley & RBMedia for this audio-ARC.

Get Lost With You by Sophie Sullivan is a sweet second chance romance! It is the second story in the Rock Bottom Series (able to be read standalone).

Jilly Keller is raising her daughter in Smile, living her structured life while helping run the Get Lost Lodge. Levi Bright returns home to rebuild relationships and bring his culinary vision to the town he loves. The book features a lot of loveable characters, humor, and long time friends re-connecting and falling in love. It was a cute, easygoing, fast read. There was not a lot of conflict or angst, which was just fine! The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life.

3.5 Stars. I enjoyed this sweet story that was slow to draw you in. The characters were a little slow and the chemistry was lacking.

Jillian Keller took the long route to her best life, but is now happily settled in her hometown of Smile, raising her little girl alone while helping her brother run Get Lost Lodge. A lover of structure and routine, she doesn’t need anything, or anyone, disrupting her carefully curated life.

After chasing and achieving his culinary dreams, Levi Bright realizes he’s still missing something. Something he can’t find in a big city. Returning home to Smile, he intends to build a different future for himself that includes mending fences with his dad, reconnecting with friends, and creating elevated comfort food for a town he loves.

When Levi and Jilly run into each other one day in Smile, once requited feelings that never had a chance to bloom as teens flare between them immediately. Jaded from her past, Jilly is cautious and convinced that she can handle being just friends, as the two have to work closely together to prepare for Get Lost’s official summer opening, spending time together, camping, laughing, kayaking, and reminiscing. But when her brother hires sweet, funny, ridiculously hot Levi as the new chef at the lodge, and she and Ollie are getting more attached, things are moving more quickly than she anticipated--and Jilly has been hurt before. If she wants to be head over heels in love, she'll have to learn that the past doesn’t always repeat itself. Sometimes, it just leads you where you’re meant to be.

Second chance love for Levi and Jilly. This was so cute and cozy. It shows that love is scary but worth it. The audio was so good!

This book was very cute and cosy! A very easy read. Nothing too complicated. It’s a nice read to just relax with.

Thanks so much NetGalley,RBmedia, Recorded Books and Sophie Sullivan for giving me an ARC of this lovely book!

Zero angst. No drama super fully, kinda boring. Not much for me in this book. They got together immediately and the rest was kinda anti climatic.

A Sophie Sullivan book is always a fun read, happy to be back in Smile and with a brother’s best friend romance. A light fun read with the small town charming characters and a quirky grocery store bulletin board.

Out now! 3.5 stars.
Thank you Recorded Books for the audio copy to read and review. I thought this was a super cute romance!
This is #2 in a series but I read this as a standalone and it works just fine as such.

Would recommend if you love:
-Second chance
-Single parent
-Brother's best friend
-Small town
-Low drama (there is some with an ex but it's very few pages worth)

I thought this was sweet and (mostly) enjoyed the story. I love that Levi and Jilly are open and honest with each other. There is no stepping around their feelings now or what they felt in the past. It's refreshing for two adults to actually just speak to one another and be upfront, 'hey, I like you and have since high school.' I adore a small town like Smile so that was a big reason I enjoyed this. The part I didn't enjoy was the 3rd act breakup. I know, I know, I know we do it for the angst and feels but like-- this one felt unnecessary and sort of childish by that point in their relationship.

The narrator for this was great! I was kept in the story and the character's voices were good. I'd

I wasn't able to get into this audiobook due to the narrator's voice. The summary seems like a story I would like, so maybe I will try the text format.
