What I’m Starry-Eyed Over:
🤩 I loved the idea of this one being small town Smile, Michigan & being like Mackinac Island.
🤩 The secret pining.

What I’m Wishing
💫 I just didn’t get the feels I like to feel when reading romance books. I was bored & the audiobook (3rd person, dual pov, one narrator) didn’t seem to help. Darn. I’ve heard that there will be another narration—a male narrator. They should have just done a dual narration. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sophie Sullivan delivers a heartwarming small-town second-chance romance in 𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗬𝗢𝗨. Jillian Keller, a single mom dedicated to her daughter and her family’s lodge, isn’t looking for love—especially not with Levi Bright, the boy she once secretly crushed on. Now a renowned chef, Levi has returned home to Smile, Michigan, hoping to build a new life and reconnect with his past. When they’re thrown together preparing for the lodge’s summer opening, their old feelings quickly resurface, forcing Jilly to decide if she’s willing to take a risk on love. Jilly and Levi’s chemistry is undeniable, and Levi’s patience and devotion make him an irresistible hero. While the novel shines with humor and warmth, moments of miscommunication and slow pacing hold it back slightly. Still, this is a charming, closed-door romance perfect for readers seeking a light and cozy read. Allyson Morgan’s narration adds an extra layer of charm.

I was provided both the ALC and ARC of this book via Netgalley, all opinions are my own. Than you to St. Martins Press/St. Martin's Griffin and RB Media/Recorded Books for providing me with advanced copies of the book in both formats. I have really come to enjoy reading along with the audiobook when I get the opportunity. The narrator did a great job keeping me engaged

This was a super sweet second chance, small town romance. Jillian Keller, aka Jilly has been in love with Levi since high school. He left their small town of Smile to chase his dreams of becoming a chef and working in a big time fancy restaurant and while he had feelings for her, he didn't want to lead her on. He was also friends with her older brothers and didn't want to break the "bro code". Fast forward into the future, Jilly is a divorced single mom and helping to run a small lodge with her brothers. She is cautious about everything in her life but overly so when it comes to love after her failed marriage. She has alot on her plate with the lodge's summer opening looming and some new offerings on the way to bring in new clients. She doesn't have time for a new relationship when Levi reenters her life, but everything happens for a reason.

Levi has returned home to help out with the family construction business when his dad needs routine surgery. There is a rift between father and son that needs mending due to Levi leaving town to pursue his dreams and not taking over the family business. Naturally feelings were hurt, but Levi wants nothing more than to mend this fence and reestablish himself in his home town. He achieved his goal to become a successful chef, and now more than ever he knows that the small town life is what he wants. He also wants to explore that spark he has always felt for Jilly, so when an opportunity to cook at the lodge and spend more time with her opens up he jumps at the chance to show her how great they can be together and that he isn't going anywhere.

I really loved this. Levi and Jilly were really cute together, they kept their relationship playful while dealing with real life situations. They passed notes to one another like teenagers to keep things fun, while building up the trust needed for something concrete. It is very low spice, there are some intimate scenes, but they are fade to black and not very descriptive. I appreciated that Jilly got to explore her feelings of inadequacy in a relationship and fears about a new relationship as a single mom on her own terms. She had real conversations with Levi and the conversation she had with her mom were really great to help her overcome her objections and find love again.

This is the 2nd book in the Rock Bottom series, but it does read as a complete standalone. I have not read the 1st book in the series which centers around Jilly's brother Beckett and girlfriend Presley. They are side characters in this book, and I'll be picking Love, Naturally soon as I want to know everything about their love story! This is also my first book by the author, but it will not be my last!

Sadly, this wasn’t a hit for me. The narrator voices both MCs and at times the story was hard to follow. I couldn’t feel the spark between Jilly and Levi, and the town being called “Smile” felt very cringe to me. I had to DNF at 20%.

Get Lost With You by Sophie Sullivan is so sweet. I loved it!

I received an advance audiobook copy, and the narration was so well done with this story.

The characters are great, the setting is perfect. I wish I could get lost with these characters.

Perfect amount of spice for me (very little, super tame).

Now I'm off to find more books by Sophie Sullivan to add to my TBR pile.

This is gonna be short and sweet. It was ok. It was fluffy with not much depth which served a purpose. It’s just not what I look for in a Romance in 2024

Was it overly funny? No, not really but it tries to be. I’m
Coming to realize that I like romances that feel authentic. Both the love story and the characters themselves and not the hallmark fluffy version of imagined society. Also this quick- insta love trope kits gets bothersome. This falls into
The latter. A palate cleanser if you will. But it was cute and could be just what someone needs for Valentines reading!

The fun part was the childlike actions of the grown adults. They acted like teens with their decision making yams sometimes that serves a purpose of listening to a carefree type of situation that reminds you of “back in the day”.

The narrator Allyson Morgan on the other hand did a decent job with the narration however it was very slooow and uneven with her natural pacing. But thankfully you can speed up the rate.

I am thankful to have gotten the ALC for free from RB Media through NetGalley to read which gave me the opportunity to voluntarily leave a review.

My rating system since GoodReads doesn’t have partial stars and I rarely round up.

⭐️ Hated it
⭐️⭐️ Had a lot of trouble, prose issues, really not my cup of tea (potentially DNF’d or thought about it)
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Meh, it was an ok read but nothing special
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really enjoyed it! Would recommend to others
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding! Will circle back and read again

Jillian took the long route to her best life, but is now happily settled in her hometown surrounded by her loved ones. It was the best choice she’s ever made for herself and her daughter. When her childhood crush Levi returns to Smile old feelings bubble up to the surface. They see a lot of each other and Ollie seems too love him but Jilly is hesitant to take the next step. What if history repeats itself?

I’m loving this series! The small town setting is so cozy, Get lost lodge is a top pick for bookish places I’d love to visit. And I wouldn’t say no to a bookish boyfriend written by Sullivan either. Levi is swoon worthy. The grand gestures, sweet dates and making an effort to get to know little Ollie.

I would’ve liked too hear more about how Levi’s mended things with his dad. It’s an interesting storyline that didn’t reach it’s full potential.

If you like romcoms with a lower spice level set in a cozy small town this series is for you. I recommend reading them order.

3 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

This the second book in the rock bottom love series. The audio is good I wish it was dual narrator but can’t win them all lol But the narrator did a good job and I enjoyed it.

As far as the story it was cute cheesy. Second chance romance. I did love Jillian tho!

Get Lost With You has everything some could want in a small town romance.

💜 brothers best friend
💜 small town romance(set in Michigan)
💜 Dual POV
💜 single parent/ divorcee
💜 second chance romance

I just love small town romances. I love getting to know the people living in a new town. I think my favorite character of the whole book was the fmc’s daughter Ollie.

Thank you to NetGalley and RB Media for an advance copy in exchange for a honest review.

This was a sweet fun low drama rom com. Jillian and her daughter Ollie have been living back in her hometown and getting her life back on track. Levi moves back home when his dad has surgery to help out. When he and Jilli run into each other all the old feeling from their teen crush come back. They jump right into spending time together and getting their lives tangled together. Very cute book!

Book 2 in a series, would work as a stand alone.

Jilly has lived in her hometown of Smile for a few years now. She came back after her divorce to raise her daughter near family. She has been going about her life. Then, her high school crush, Levi, also moves back to town. She is still attracted to him. Too bad it was always unrequited- or was it?

This was ok. It did not always keep my attention and I found myself zoning out. It just wasn't that exciting and eventful. And I felt like Jilly's past was never actually resolved.

Allyson Morgan narrates. This would benefit from dual narrators since it is told in a dual POV.

I received an advance audio copy in exchange for an honest review.

Single mom Jilly is settled in her hometown raising her daughter and helping her brother run his lodge. When her childhood crush Levi returns home, they reconnect and get a chance for their old feelings to bloom.

This was a sweet small town romance, but a little boring. I liked that Levi was all in and open about his feelings, but there wasn't a lot of tension or chemistry between the pair to hook you into their connection. I enjoyed the family connections and the characters were likeable, especially Jilly's daughter Ollie, but the story was missing a spark.

I enjoyed the audiobook narration -- the narrator did a good job given the material, I was just not super enticed to listen due to the slow nature of the story.

If you want a calm and sweet romance, pick this one up.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC opportunity!

Sadly, this was a miss for me. I had to DNF @ 53%. The characters felt all over the place, and the immediate jump back together felt weird to me. None of the storyline flowed naturally and it felt like we were being forced to kinda root for these people that we had learned nothing major about.

Once i hit the 50% mark and nothing was changing or getting better, i had to call it. Also the POV style is not my favorite, it didnt do the story any favors.

This is a cute lighthearted story. It was enjoyable but nothing extraordinary. I liked the characters. Good narration.

Divorce mom, Jilly, lives in the small town of Smile with her brothers and run a Lodge called Get Lost. Her high school crush, and friend of her brothers, returns to town after his father's surgery. Levi dreamed of leaving the small town and becoming a chef ruining his fathers expectations to take over the family construction company. After 15 years, Levi returns to town and rekindles the attraction with Jilly.

Perfect for readers that like:
-small town romance
-hallmark movies
-single mom second chance
-small family business
-leave the city for small town life
-predictable plots
-a couple open door scenes

The audiobook was well done. I enjoyed the narration by Allyson Morgan. She did a fantastic job and it was easy to understand and follow along at high speeds.

-Spoilers Ahead-
This story started off quickly jumping into Levi coming home and Jilly being a divorced mom with an unhealthy ex-husband. Sadly, the writing is juvenile and reads like a young reader's book. The writing gets a bit better throughout the story, but I never felt drawn to the characters or the story. Levi's biggest issue is disappointing his dad with his career choice and Jilly is struggling to trust a relationship after a terrible marriage. She is a protective mother and puts her daughters' needs first. It was a very predictable plot with big hallmark movie vibes which is not my thing. The town name "Smile" was cheesy and Levi's new dream of leaving his city chef dreams to open a food truck in his hometown was hard to believe. As for the romance, there were a few open door scenes that used a lot of the same language and phrases as many other books. The scenes felt awkward and I wanted to fast forward through them. Don't get me started on the third scene break up act- I didn't like it and was ready to be done with the book. It's wrapped up nicely, but I was left ready to read something else.

The only redeeming quote that I connected with was:
“When someone you love and trust, someone who is supposed to be your person fails you, on purpose no less, you tend to become weary of trusting the words of others. Even the people who have never let you down- the people you know love you and have your back. You think that the person who supposedly loved you the most let you down, then anyone. It changes you. You start to question your own judgement and believe that you can count on anyone but yourself.”

Thank you Netgalley and RBmedia for the opportunity to listen to this book in exchange for an honest review.

Sophie Sullivan delivers a delightful and heartwarming love story in Get Lost With You, a novel that perfectly captures the essence of small-town romance. With endearing characters, witty banter, and a second-chance love story that feels both authentic and engaging, this book is a standout in the genre.

The story follows Levi’s return to his hometown, where his long-held, unspoken feelings for Jillian come back into play. Unbeknownst to him, Jillian had feelings for him too, though neither acted on them in the past. Now, as they navigate their new circumstances, they must figure out if their lives—and their hearts—are finally aligned. Their chemistry is undeniable, and Sullivan’s writing beautifully balances humor, heartfelt moments, and romantic tension.

The small-town setting adds warmth and charm, with a lively cast of secondary characters who enhance the story’s depth and humor. The sense of community and nostalgia makes this book feel cozy and inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for Levi and Jillian’s journey.

Sullivan has crafted a novel that is equal parts sweet, funny, and deeply satisfying. Readers will undoubtedly be eager to continue the series and see what’s next.
