Love on the Horizon 1 is overflowing with tension, denial, and raw emotion—so much so that I found myself repeatedly screaming, “OH MY GOD!” Nagi and Yu-san are absolutely adorable together, and their dynamic had me hooked from start to finish. The only downside? It ended far too soon! I loved it so much that I instantly ordered the paperback. A must-read for romance manga lovers!

This was a short and sweet manga about a college freshman and his next door neighbor upperclassmen. It did seem more of like an insta-love situation and pacing was quick but a really enjoyable story nonetheless. I do wish they expanded more on the relationship between the two. It leaves more to desired.
Thank you so much for the ARC opportunity!

My goodness, this manga was phenomenal. So emotional while being lighthearted and heartwarming. Nagi and Yu are such a sweet pair and I can't wait to see their love story unfold further in the coming volumes. They are so opposite to each other in personality, but so perfectly matched as a pair.
The fact that it is a queer love story and not starting off with some kind of tragedy is amazing. I am beyond excited to see what comes next!

The couple was cute, I liked how their relationship developed and I really liked the art. 4 stars just because it felt a little fast paced and short but I feel like that's normal for mangas like these I'm used to reading. I am also excited to want to read book two. Go to Gracie stephens on goodreads.com to find my review

This was such a sweet little manga. A cute love story that I found to be quite adorable and charming. The are, was of course amazing too. I really enjoyed this read :)

A sweet start to a romance series. Unlike some in this genre, the main couple actually recognize and act on their feeling in the first volume (which does leave me wondering if the next volumes will mainly consist of some sort of traumatic drama which will keep them apart until nearly the end of the series, I'm hoping not).

This is such an adorable BL manga with two wonderful protagonists. I particular love Nagi and Yuu is also adorable as he slowly realises his feelings. It’s really cute to read a friends to lovers tale. There is some beautiful moments within. The art is beautiful as well and you instantly get taken into the story. If you enjoy heartwarming manga this is one for you.
As always thank you to Kodansha Comics for the advanced copy to review, my reviews are always honest and freely given.

Art university student Nagi Kitagawa is hopelessly in love with Yuu Yamasaki, his senpai in the folk song club who also happens to be his next door neighbor. Yuu seems to have it all--good looks, a great personality, and he’s also super popular--so Nagi can’t help but think he’d never fall for a shy, innocent country bumpkin like him. One night, after drinking too much at one of their club get-togethers, Nagi helps a drunk Yuu get home safe--
Such a sweet love story. Made me sigh in many places as you watch Nagi and Saki fall in love. I really enjoyed the art and the tender story of two men who meet in the rain, become friends, and then find love.
Highly recommended . Published Jan 7,2025
Thanks to @netgalley and Kodansha Comics for the opportunity to read this eArc in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

This is a very cute story, especially loved Nagi, he was adorably naive and innocent! The story flowed very smoothly and the art was very clean and well styled. I will have to look into the second book of the series and read it as soon as I am able! Thank you for the chance to read their story!

This is one of the most adorable things I’ve ever read. Love on the Horizon doesn’t just focus on Kitagawa but also on Yamasaki. It’s the perfect combination of the two’s point of views whilst falling in love with one another. The romance between the two gives off forced proximity vibes but not in a forced type of way.

thank you so much for letting me read this manga. I enjoyed the story, it is very heartwarming and i like the artstyle.

This was a really cute, quick read. I loved the two main characters, they got on so well. I don't read a lot of manga so the layout confused me at first but it was easy to follow and read. I liked the art style a lot and the story was cute while not being too cliché.

Such a cute little friends-to-lovers romance. The art was great and the pacing was perfect. I think this is a must-read for fans of BL and need a cute romance!

Love on the Horizon had me giggling and kicking my feet in the beginning. Frankly, it was adorable at the start; however, as the book went on, it took on a more sexual undertone, and the romance started to feel rushed. Knowing that this is only the first volume of a series, I hadn't anticipated them getting together so early on in the book, and it caused the second half a bit underwhelming.
Thank you, NetGalley and the publishers, for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Love on the Horizon 1 is a sweet and simple love story. It revolves around two university students and neighbours, art student Nagi Kitagawa and his sempai Yuu Yamasaki, and their journey to the discovery of love. I liked the characters and the story is quick but poignant. Moreover, the art is absolutely gorgeous. All in all, Love on the Horizon 1 is a feel-good, sweet story that I absolutely recommend.

Love on the Horizon vol.1: the plot revolves around Nagi and his upperclassman/neighbour Yuu. Cute and sweet type of narrative, what I enjoyed the most was Nagi’s angst towards Yuu’s feelings. Unfortunately that yearning feeling was shortened, imo they became a couple too quick.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha for the ARC.
Kind of fluffy…easy to digest BL. There’s nothing crazy going on here, it’s just kind of cute. One volume is enough for me but I think if you were looking for something comforting and light this would be it.

This felt like a sugar rush! Simple and sweet. Absolutely adorable characters learning what it means to fall in love for the first time. I enjoyed how proximity played a role of tension in this story, and found the ending satisfying and cute. I also found the artwork to be extremely pleasing and fits gorgeously with the genre. I'm looking forward to seeing how both characters dynamics could build in the next volume.

I truly enjoyed 'Love on the Horizon 1.' It was such a delightful read! I absolutely adored the characters and the cozy atmosphere. Nagi and Yu make such a perfect couple, and I’m really looking forward to reading the next volume when it's released.

This was a sweet romance manga about two college students who are neighbors, friends, then boyfriends. It makes for a cozy read, perfect for a rainy day. Nagi's keeps getting asked to help bring his cute older neighbor Yuu home when he parties too hard -- and sometimes falls asleep alongside him. They spend more time together, Nagi feeling like Yuu must be stringing him along given how popular he is, but slowly realizes that his crush may just have feelings for him, too. I look forward to seeing what happens next!
