Liv Constantine does it again! I couldn't flip pages fast enough and just when I thought I was catching on... wrong! Annabelle appears to have a great life - a husband who wants the best for her, two beautiful daughters, and a job she loves but not everything is at appears and sometimes a dream can be more than just that...
Thank you Netgalley, Random House Publishing and the author for the opportunity to read this book.

Annabelle's life and thoughts had me glued to the pages of the book during two days of my cruise to Mexico. Poolside, on the balcony, in the lounge, I devoured this book like it was the hottest item on the buffet! Annabelle was very much an unreliable narrator, and I was anxious to find out what was, in fact, reality. The flashbacks and her daughter's story only worked to deepen the plot and entangle me further. The author-duo Liv Constantine has proven to be a powerhouse team with this book, which I deem their best. Bravo! Many thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Random House for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

A light popcorn thriller that features a woman having some psychic dreams. The changes in PoV narration actually broke something in this for me, but I cannot put my finger on what that would be. Great for a mindless read but not for those looking for the next fresh thriller

Liv Constantine’s Don’t Open Your Eyes is a tense domestic thriller centered on Annabelle, a woman with a picture‑perfect life: a loving husband (a neurologist), two daughters, and a successful career in media communications. But her world starts to unravel when she begins having vivid, unsettling dreams that eerily predict future tragedies—from a plane crash to danger looming over her family.
Told through multiple points of view and timelines, including Annabelle’s present and “Before” flashbacks, her teenage daughter Scarlett’s perspective, and cryptic interludes from “The Wife,” the narrative is layered and suspenseful. The stakes rise as these prophetic dreams start to come true, forcing Annabelle to question how much control she has over her fate—and whether it’s possible to change what’s meant to be.
This was such an easy and quick read—I flew through it in a couple of sittings. The multiple POVs worked really well, especially since each perspective added a new layer to the mystery. I loved the incorporation of dreams; they were creepy, surreal, and kept me second-guessing what was real and what wasn’t. And the twist at the end? So satisfying! I didn’t see it coming but it made perfect sense once it hit.
If you’re into fast-moving thrillers with psychological tension, unreliable narrators, and jaw-dropping reveals, definitely add this one to your list.

This was completely unhinged, but in the best way!!! The beginning was kind of slow but it picked up about halfway through and got really good. Great thriller!

Thank you for the ARC!
This book was amazing . Literally could not put it down. Definitely a lot of twists that I didn’t see coming . 5 stars !

Love everything from this author so I was excited to start this book and it didn’t disappoint. Great mystery. Thank you NetGalley! I flew through this one, highly recommend !

Read in one sitting (on a plane). It kept my attention, but was a little predictable. Also the dream thing was never really explained. I guess she could just predict the future occasionally? 🤔

With the opening dream scene where her husband is choking to the jaw dropping ending, this book was compulsively readable. When Anabelle Reynolds wakes up from this disturbing dream and discusses it with her neurologist husband, he explains to her that there is no proof that dreams are prophetic. -she is probably stressed and this is her mind's way of releasing it. However, when her dreams begin to come true (not in a good way),
she becomes anxious.
Annabelle is a social media marketing specialist living and loving her perfect life with 2 daughters, a successful career and a devoted but controlling husband, life is good. she turns down an offer to take her boss's position when her boss retires because she doesn't want to spend a lot of time away from the family, The focus shifts to the 14yr old daughter who is texting a boy from Chicago (the family lives in a small Connecticut coastal town), and trying to be more independent of the family, when she does a DNA test and finds a surprising result which she keeps secret.
This book had wonderful believable characters. I liked the dream sequences which were written in italics to differentiate from the story text, The authors also let us in on the characters thought processes and interspersed chapters by The Wife, and Anabelle's past (before she was married).
The plot was well woven and twisted and I did not see the twist coming. WOW! I could not put this book down!
Clear your calendar and devour this psychological mystery.
I received an ARAC of this book from NetGalley and Random House publishers and am leaving my own opinions.

4.5 - 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ok, I loved this one!
I’ve only read about three other books by this talented duo, but I’ve quickly become a huge fan after reading Don’t Open Your Eyes!
If you’re looking for a suspenseful, twisty - really twisty - book that is totally bingeable - look no further. Grab your popcorn and pick this one up! I couldn’t put it down.
Lots to love in this thriller: Alternating POVs - including a mystery “wife” who is rather dark and possessive, before and current timelines, family secrets, deception and a surprise ending!
This pulled me in from the start. Expect to suspend some disbelief in order to really love it!
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House - Ballantine my advanced copy to read and review.

I am a fan of Liv Constantine from the Last Mrs. Parrish days. I did not personally love The Next Mrs. Parrish as much but I am right back there with Don't Open Your Eyes.
This book had me wanting to spend time everyday reading it. I was gripped by the characters and the story line. Annabelle begins having disturbing dreams and some of them are coming to pass in her real life.
Is she in danger? Are her daughters in danger? There were quite a few twists in this thriller, some small and some major but it kept me on my toes and I really enjoyed reading it! I think Constantine does the multiple character point of view writing style very well so I enjoy it from her. There is also a "Before" timeline which I thought added great context but it is a lot to keep track of.
Overall I would recommend this book to readers! It is the perfect read for a beach day or just relaxing.

This was an excellent book by Liv Constantine. I have many of her books on my “to Read” shelf, but this was the first of hers I have read. I’ll defiantly be reading more written by Liv.
This was a fast paced family drama with some mystery thrown in. There were many twists and turns I did not see coming. I gasped out loud a few times.
I did not love the “dreams” but it didn’t detract from the enjoyment of the book.
There was only one character that was annoying and only at the end of the book. All the other characters were well developed and likable.
I received this galley from NetGalley.

Thank you @prhaudio for a copy of Don't Open Your Eyes. This is a story of Annabelle that has a perfect marriage with 2 adorable kids and her life of suddenly turned upside down when her dreams starts coming true.
As she tries to protect her daughter from one of her dreams, she starts questioning things and everything is not as perfect as it seems.
The story is told in past and present and multiple POV narrated by Valerie Rose Lohman, Alex McKenna, and Christine Lakin. The story was easy to follow with the distinctive voices.
I did find the story a little slow in the first half and like her other books, all of the action happens last 30% of the book.

Thank you for allowing me to read this book as an ARC.
Wow, what an amazing roller coaster ride! I could not put this book down. Absolutely fantastic and so unpredictable! In true Liv Constantine fashion, this book did not disappoint and I highly recommend it to everyone who loves a great mystery and suspenseful ride!
While the dreams of the protagonist seem unbelievable, they sure made for a great twist in the story. A 5 🌟 book for sure!

I really enjoyed this book! It kept my attention the whole time. Liv is one of my favorite authors and I’m pretty sure I’ve read all her books. This one did not disappoint. Highly recommend.

Incredibly twisty!!
Annabell is a high powered social media exec in a marketing firm, has two daughters and is happily married to a doctor. They live a comfortable life, but when her daughter Scarlett begins texting with a boy named Ben, she begins to question things her parents have always told her about their family. Especially when Anabell starts having dreams and premonitions that predict events that happen in the future to her family. When they begin to come true, she fears something is terribly wrong.
When Annabell has a dream that Scarlett is in danger for her life, she does everything she can to protect her daughter. But what she doesn't know is that her secrets from the past will come back to life.
Told in dual timelines from the past and present, the story follows Annabel in college as she meets her now husband, and then Annabel and James as they are parents navigating life and dealing with reprecussions from the past.

Thank you for the ARC Copy of Don't Open Your Eyes. I am a huge fan of Liv's books so I was excited to read this one. It was very fast paced and had a lot of great twists, drama, secrets and more. It was a book you couldnt put down that's for sure. You Get two POV's , one being with a character that shares her past and the present as well as one other character , a daughter.
Def a great psychological thriller that I think many people will enjoy!

I always look forward to Liv Constantine books. I know I can expect a twisty thriller and Don't Open Your Eyes didn't disappoint!
This story is about Annabelle, a social media marketer. She has 2 daughters, Olivia and Scarlett, and is married to James, a doctor. Life seems perfect, but then Annabelle begins having dreams that are like premonitions, because they come true. This causes her to start questioning her life choices. She begins to believe that her oldest daughter might be in trouble and her husband might not be all he seems. The story is told from the POV of Annabelle, Scarlett, her oldest daughter, and then another POV tilted The Wife. During Annabelle's POV, we go back and forth between the present and "before".
I enjoyed the story very much. I appreciated the short chapters, they kept the pace of the story moving along and the tension building. While I did figure out a thing or two during reading, there were several twists towards the end that I didn't see coming. I was very happy with the ending.
All in all, I highly recommend this book. Another great read from the writing duo of Liv Constantine! Can't wait for the next one!
Thanks to NetGalley and Bantam books for the ARC of this book.

I absolutely love the sister duo that makes Liv Constantine and their new book, "Don't Open Your Eyes" grabbed me from the first sentence!!! Great read!

I Thought I Was The Only One. It is no secret that my book reviews are in part confessionals, that is my entire schtick as a reviewer and literally the basis of my brand name. So here's one I don't talk about often, but which those who have known me since I was a kid are aware of - it actually caused a bit of drama a couple of times back then: The dream sequences that happen in this book? The ones that our lead character feels are so vivid and real, that they really could be glimpses into the future?
I've lived with those same types of dreams off and on for over forty years now. And no, it isn't deja vu. It is pretty well exactly as Constantine describes here - so real and visceral that you *know* you've lived those very events before.
Except unlike our lead character - or in some ways perhaps exactly like her - I learned early on, from a couple of blunders that caused the drama I referenced above, to not (obviously) act on the dreams, but instead to prepare myself for the outcomes they warned me of so that I could at least be prepared if or when they happened.
So for me in particular, that part of this book was *phenomenal*. It was easily relatable to one of those aspects of my life that I virtually *never* talk about anymore, because as our lead character in the book learns, people - even those closest to you - rapidly begin to think you're crazy when you so openly talk about it. (Which is one reason I'm not going into any real details about my own experiences, and indeed I can actively state that these types of dreams don't happen nearly as often anymore as they did when I was younger. My overall life is also *dramatically* different than it was, and I suspect this plays a role.)
But that aspect is only roughly half this tale, the setup. And while a phenomenal setup, it *is* a rather slow one. It takes time for those less accustomed to these types of dreams to wrap your head around what is going on with this character, and Constantine gives you that kind of time. She needs to, because the later stages, where the action picks up and indeed becomes rather breathtaking, *need* you to understand that part of this character and believe it as much as she does.
Thus, when the action picks up, the dreams become less a part of the active story and more a part of what is informing the action sequences as they play out. At this point, it becomes a far more typical thriller, one of the exact type Constantine is known for and excels at, and it shows brilliantly here.
Overall truly a great thriller that shows a side of life that most likely aren't as familiar with, and does so in a way that rings true to at least my own experiences with similar experiences in real life.
Very much recommended.
