Liv Constantine is always inventive and sucks me in from the first page, and Don’t Open Your Eyes was no exception. Just when Annabelle feels like she has everything she wanted to have in life, she begins having dreams of parts of her life unraveling. These dreams because increasingly disturbing as they begin to come true. I worried this plot might veer into unbelievable of over the top territory, but Constantine did an excellent job of resolving the story in an admirable and satisfying way. A great new read from an author you either already live or need to start reading!

This one totally snuck up on me.

I'd been meaning to read something by Liv Constantine for a while, but this was my first, and it definitely won't be my last.

Annabelle's got the perfect life: an adoring husband, two sweet daughters, and a career she actually likes. Everything's great… until the dreams start. Not just dreams, but vivid visions of a future where she hates her husband and her daughters are in danger. Naturally, she ignores them. But then real-life details from the dreams start happening in real life.

To be fair, it took me a minute to settle into the story. The first half moves a little slower than I wanted, and I kept thinking, "Okay, but when does it get moving?" Answer: halfway through. That's when it really digs in, and once it does, good luck putting it down.

I thought I knew where this was going. I was ready to feel smug about calling the ending early on. Joke's on me—I did not see the final twists coming. Some of these characters are straight-up devious, and it dips into soap opera territory at times, but I was absolutely here for it.

It's a little bit thriller and a little bit domestic suspense. Perfect for fans of slightly over-the-top drama!

Don’t Open Your Eyes was unfortunately not my fave book by Liv Constantine. It was a bit repetitive and predictable. This being said it was still enjoyable as all of her books are. Just not her best.

Whoa this was a bizarre book but I was totally drawn in. Told in a before and after fashion with dreams/visions thrown in there. What’s real, what’s not? It all unravels just as our MC is sure she’s losing it - the truth is not what’s expected

This book was a wild ride. Is our FMC losing it or are her dreams actually foretelling things? I enjoyed the pacing and did not see the twist coming. Great CT author whose back list I will def be visiting.

There was alot of unexpected twists & secrets to keep me on my toes.
I enjoyed the author's writing style, how she told the story by connecting her 3 main characters through alternating chapters.
I would love to read another book by Ms. Constantine.

These dreams start to mirror actual events and force her to question everything: her marriage, a past trauma, and her daughter Scarlette’s safety.

Scarlette, your classic moody teen, is secretly messaging a boy online, but something feels off. As the tension builds at home—with a controlling husband, a bratty younger sister, and Annabelle’s own secrets bubbling to the surface—the story slowly morphs from family drama into a twisty psychological thriller.

I’ll be honest—this started slow for me. The dream sequences dragged a bit, and the big reveals were pretty easy to guess early on. But the last quarter of the book? It delivers. Things pick up fast, and the ending ties everything together in a way that’s super satisfying.

The short chapters and fast pacing made it a breeze to read, and while it’s not my favorite by Liv Constantine, it’s still a solid, twisty popcorn thriller. If you like stories that mess with your head a little and keep you flipping pages, this one’s worth picking up.

Twisty, fast paced, fun, and never she who to trust. I did feel like there were some pretty large plot holes and I still am unsure about the dream component. Oh well! Enjoyed it.

Annabelle is living a wonderful life with her husband and their daughters when something strange happens. Her dreams start to come true. While she’s trying to figure out what’s going on in the current timeline, we get flashbacks to how she and her husband ended up together. Everything comes together at the end with some crazy twists, which I’m still not sure I buy into, but that’s the beauty of fiction!

This is fast-paced with short chapters, so if you love that like I do and you like an unpredictable twist ending, pick this one up! You also get some of the dysfunctional family trope and some teens using social media warnings. Enjoy!

Annabelle seems to have made it in the shade, a loving husband, 2 daughters and a career she loves. So why is she having these nightmares!

The dreams that she’s having are coming true and they’re not happy dreams. They are scary glimpses into her future and Annabelle doesn’t know how to stop them and she can’t stop them from coming true.

Later on, Scarlett meets someone on- line and will this turn out to be a good or bad relationship.
This was a buildup story told from multiple POV’s.
Even though the author placed multiple characters in this one, I enjoyed everyone, all the drama along with a shocking ending.
I love all of Liv’s books!

I absolutely loved this one and could not put it down. Liv Constantine always writes a book that not only has a wild and crazy plot, but delivers such good twists. I loved how it alternates not only between multiple POVs but also Annabelle's past story, and it's a story that is so important to how everything weaves together nicely at the end. And speaking of the ending.. it was so GOOD, and was the ending I was hoping for! I definitely recommend this one!

Annabelle’s present life converges with the past and the future when she questions if she can change the outcome. Multi-layered and thought-provoking, told from multiple points of view and timelines, all add to the intensity.

Told in alternating timelines with a mysterious bonus POV adding to the mystery that will keep you turning the pages.

Razor sharp, a page-turning mix of family drama, domestic suspense, and psychological thriller of family secrets, passions, and dreams that haunt us.

WARNING: Carve out the time before you start reading. Once I started reading, I could not put it down and stayed up all night until I finished. The same thing happened to me the previous night when reading John Grisham's upcoming novel, The Widow. Now, I have not been able to get back to sleeping at night, as I find myself napping during the day and staying up all night.

But isn't this the meaning of a great book, when you cannot put the book down, but if you try to sleep, you are thinking of it, and you're back up to pull an all-nighter. Now, I am back to being an insomniac again.

Annabelle is having nightmares. Well, premonitions, really, since they’re coming true. The more detailed and accurate her dreams become the more concerned she becomes that her life isn’t what it seems.

I absolutely loved this one! The characters were all interesting and felt real and the story moved pretty quickly. The twists were really well done and surprising, too. The only criticism I have is that the book was a little lopsided, with the first half being a slow build and the back half being written a warp speed, the difference was so stark and sudden you could get whiplash.

Don’t Open Your Eyes follows Annabelle, a woman whose unsettling dreams begin to mirror reality, pushing her to question everything she knows about her life. As these visions intensify and start coming true, Annabelle digs deeper and uncovers secrets that have long been buried beneath the surface.

Told through multiple points of view, the story is structured like a puzzle, each chapter slowly feeding you information until the full picture clicks into place. I enjoyed how the narrative wove the characters’ perspectives together, gradually building tension and adding depth to the mystery.

The premise was unique, and the supernatural element of Annabelle’s dreams added a compelling twist. There were a few well-placed reveals, but I did find one of the major twists predictable. Additionally, while the buildup created a lot of suspense, especially through the repeated dream sequences, the pacing occasionally felt off. Some sections were a bit repetitive, and the ending, though neat, didn’t quite live up to the intensity of the setup. It felt somewhat anti-climactic and more straightforward than expected.

Still, Liv Constantine delivers an engaging psychological thriller with atmospheric tension and an interesting look at the boundary between intuition and reality. It’s a solid read for fans of slow-burn suspense and domestic thrillers. I couldn't put it down!

I've been a fan of Liv Constantine ever since The Last Mrs. Parrish, and Don’t Open Your Eyes did not disappoint! This book had so many unexpected twists that I audibly gasped more than once, and just when I thought I had recovered, another twist would hit. The suspense kept building, and I absolutely could not put it down. If you’re a fan of psychological thrillers that keep you guessing until the very end, this one is a must-read!

However, some dark secrets from her past threaten to ruin her perfect life. She's not sure if it's because of stress from work, but she's been having some very unsettling dreams lately. Her oldest daughter, Scarlett, forges a permission form to do a DNA test (which her father was adamantly against), and finds out some surprising information. This sets into motion a chain of events that puts Scarlett in grave danger. Lies and secrets abound, and Annabelle isn't sure who she can trust.

I really enjoyed this one, and it kept me in the edge of my seat to find out what was really going on!
