Wow. Such an awesome thriller. Her writing style is so much of what I enjoyed from the Mrs. Parrish series. You’re just waiting for the next twist and you don’t see them all coming. This was so good and had some extra side themes on loss and love too. A good reminder too of technology and the hidden potential dangers or benefits in some cases. Really enjoyed it. Thankful for the advanced copy from NetGalley and Random House. This one comes out June 17 and I’ll be grabbing a copy!!

This mood reader has been on a big thriller kick lately, and I was excited to dive into a binge-worthy upcoming release. With a compelling storyline and short chapters, Don't Open Your Eyes had the perfect combination of intrigue and fast pace, which made it a quick read. I couldn't figure out where it was heading, but I knew I didn't want to put it down until the pieces all fell together. Some of the twists did feel over the top, and there was a hefty amount of suspending disbelief, but all in all, this was a super fun read.

My rating: ⭐⭐⭐💫

Was so excited to receive an ARC from Netgally from one of my favorite authors!! Liv Constantine does not disappoint with this absolutely unputdownable psychological thriller. You think the story is going on way and it totally threw me for so many unexpected loops. the story starts out with Annabelle who seemingly has the perfect life and then starts having dreams that seemingly show the future that slowly shatters the image of her perfect life. Took me for a wild ride and would absolutely recommend to fans of The Last Mrs. Parrish or any of Liv Constantine’s other work.

Rating: 4.5 ★

Annabelle Reynolds has the picture-perfect life—an amazing husband, two great daughters, and a career she’s proud of. But everything starts to spiral when she begins having vivid, unsettling dreams that show a dark future where her family is in danger. At first, she dismisses them, but as real-life events begin to match up with her dreams, she realizes they might actually be premonitions. When she dreams that her daughter Scarlett is in immediate danger, Annabelle is thrown into a race against time to stop the nightmare from becoming reality. Every decision suddenly feels like it could tip the scale toward disaster, and she’s left questioning whether fate is fixed—or if she can rewrite it.

Don’t Open Your Eyes was a tense, addictive ride that pulled me in from the first few pages. Annabelle seems to have the perfect life—a great job, loving husband, two kids—but when she starts having disturbing dreams that begin to mirror real life, everything starts to unravel. The blend of maternal instinct and psychological suspense made this a gripping read, and I couldn’t stop turning the pages.

At times, the pacing felt a little slow, especially early on, but it steadily built into a suspenseful, unsettling spiral. I thought I had figured it out, but the final twist still caught me off guard. If you’re someone who reads a lot of thrillers, you might spot some turns coming—but even then, the execution keeps you engaged.

What really stood out was the emotional weight Annabelle carries. Her fear felt real, and the line between what’s imagined and what’s inevitable gave me chills. There’s a deep sense of dread woven into the plot that makes you question what you’d do in her place.

Overall, it’s a solid psychological thriller—maybe not the fastest burn, but definitely worth the read if you like your suspense with a touch of the supernatural and a character you can root for.

An addicting, binge worthy book! I was instantly hooked. Annabelle, a working mother of two with the perfect husband seems to have it all. But when she starts having vivid dreams of bad things happening, she is faced to figure out what is real or just her imagination. There was a lot of twists that I didn’t see coming! Another great book from Liv Constantine!

Don’t Open Your Eyes might just be Liv Constantine’s most emotionally manipulative novel yet! This story gave me serious palpitations and I was not at all prepared for the sheer number of twists. The plot, with its deep sense of unease and foreboding, is what all psychological thrillers strive to accomplish. If you’re looking for a truly unhinged, on the edge of your seat read, I highly recommend picking up Don’t Open Your Eyes. You truly won’t see this story coming!

Thank you to NetGalley, Ballantine Books, and Random Houde for the e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

I didn't love this one. The dream aspect was too convenient to me to be believable and there were too many coincidences.

My thoughts and feelings about this book are a mixed bag. I started this book immediately hooked. The story is told mainly from Annabelle’s perspective but there are two other people who pop up. At times we get a chapter from Annabelle’s daughter, Scarlett’s view and there a few thrown in that are from The Wife. Who’s the wife, well that’s part of the twists. There are twists galore throughout the book. It’s just a whole big web of deception as the story builds. A number of characters aren’t who you think they are. Some of them look like that perfect present under the Christmas tree but when you open it up, it’s just a pile of coal. This book was like a train wreck you can’t look away from.

As much as I sped through it and ate it up, as we hit the high point of the book I found my feelings deflating a bit. I feel like there were one too many twists and I started to feel like it went a tad over the top. Some of the reactions from characters, some of the characters themselves were just a bit much. Having said that, this is an easy to read, suck you in thriller and I’m glad I was able to read it. I’d give it 3 to 3.5 stars.

This was a quick read but ultimately a little bit of a slow churning read, and a slow suspense burn, I felt like I kept waiting for the story to get fast and this was just kinda slow.

While this was a very readable prior to bed time read, I wish it was a little more (keeping in mind I am comparing this to Liv's previous series - which I thought was much better)

I did enjoy the twist at the end but I could also see it coming a couple chapters prior but this cold also be because I read so many of these books. Still a decent read but not anything I would rave about.

The beginning was a little slow but it really picked up at the end
I thought I had it all figured out, only to realize I was not correct
Very suspenseful and hard to put down!!

Annabelle has the perfect family and job she hoped for so why is she having horrible dreams?! Her nightmare becomes real when she dreams her daughter is in danger. There’s a secret and it will destroy what she has accomplished. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for a copy.

I have to start off this review by saying that Liv Constantine is an auto-buy author for me. All of the previous novels I’ve read have been five stars, and I’m not easy to please when it comes to psychological thrillers. Don’t Open Your Eyes is a bit of a slow burn - but it pays off in the end. It delivers that twisty, jaw-on-the-floor ending that I’ve come to expect from this author. I loved the unique premise of the dream element. Just an all around fun read that I will recommend to my fellow thriller lovers!

NetGalley Review:
Don’t Open Your Eyes is a pulse-pounding psychological thriller that masterfully blends maternal instinct with supernatural suspense. Liv Constantine delivers a gripping tale of a woman torn between the bliss of her present and the creeping dread of a future she can’t ignore. Annabelle Reynolds is a compelling protagonist, whose growing paranoia and desperation feel chillingly real as dreams begin bleeding into her waking life. The narrative is taut with tension, and Constantine expertly paces the unraveling mystery, keeping readers guessing until the final, breathless twist. A haunting exploration of fate, family, and the terrifying power of what we can’t…or can… see coming.

Annabelle is living a perfect life with her family until she starts having disturbing dreams about a dark future. As the details from her dreams start coming true, she realizes they are premonitions. When she dreams of her daughter in danger, Annabelle must navigate a dangerous path to prevent a tragedy. She struggles with the idea of fate and whether she can alter the course of her life.

I was absolutely blown away by this book! From the moment I cracked open the first chapter, I was completely hooked. I couldn't tear myself away from the pages - talk about a gripping read! The writing was impeccable, and the author's ability to keep me on my toes with unpredictable twists was truly impressive.

Annabelle is a character you can't help but root for, despite the anxiety she faces in her current predicament. Who can blame her for feeling overwhelmed when she's lacking support from those closest to her? The introduction of speculative elements added an extra layer of intrigue, and I found myself getting chills as the plot unfolded. It was all so vividly described that I could almost believe it was happening right before my eyes - talk about goosebumps!

If you're a fan of suspenseful page-turners with real-life consequences, high-stakes decisions, and relatable anxiety, this book is must-read. Liv has truly outdone herself with this one, setting the bar high for the year. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on this gem - grab a copy as soon as it hits the shelves and let me know what you think!

Thank you, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Bantam, for the digital ARC copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Don’t Open Your Eyes by Liv Constantine is one of the twistiest thrillers I’ve read in a long time. It had me on the edge of my seat from the first page and the ending had me gasping out loud!!! Wow, what an ending! I also loved her other 6 books and all have been 5-stars!!! I highly recommend this and can’t wait for her next great book. She really is the queen of psychological thrillers! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release in exchange for my 5-star review. I also love love love the cover!!!!

Whoa whoa whoa.... the reactions I had while reading this book were about as entertaining as the book itself! I caught myself exclaiming out loud multiple times as twist upon twist took me out.

The amount of times I thought I had figured out who was behind everything? Not nearly as many times as I was wrong. What a treat this was!

Annabelle's life hit a little too close to home for my comfort, with the domestic realities of parenting in a digital/social media-filled age and working full-time. I am a mother of two girls who are around Scarlett and Olivia's ages, and I understand the anxieties of what they might be exposed to, who they talk to online, and what might happen to them that is outside of my control.

While Annabelle's dreams are (understandably) fueling her anxiety, they start exacerbating the issue when parts of those vivid dreams start to happen in her daily life. Almost as if... she is getting premonitions? But how? Because of this, she is dealing with an enormous amount of trepidation. On a few occasions she tries to prevent things from potentially happening. Was she successful? Or does she just look crazy?

There are a lot of characters, but somehow it is easy to keep track of who's who and what they contribute to the story. It makes it that much harder to figure out what is going on, which makes for a fantastic ride!

I devoured Don't Open Your Eyes! It is a real page-turner. *wink*

Thank you to Random House and NetGalley for the ARC! All opinions are always my own.

3 Stars – Twisty Dreams & Domestic Screams!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of Don’t Open Your Eyes!

This psychological thriller starts with a bang (or rather, a nightmare) and hooks you with a premise that’s part Sliding Doors, part Final Destination, and all domestic drama. Annabelle Reynolds seems to have it all—a charming husband, lovely daughters, and a life Pinterest would envy. That is, until her dreams start going full Black Mirror. Suddenly, the dog isn’t the only thing barking in the night.

The dreams-as-premonitions angle is juicy and gave me high hopes, and I’ll admit, I couldn’t stop flipping the pages. But while the concept is chilling, the execution sometimes leaned more soap opera than suspense. The twists were twisty—but a few veered into “wait, what?” territory rather than jaw-dropping reveals. And I kept waiting for the momentum to match the stakes. Annabelle is a compelling enough character, but some of the supporting cast felt a little underbaked—more dream shadow than fully fleshed-out players.

Still, if you enjoy domestic thrillers with a touch of the supernatural and don’t mind suspending disbelief like it’s on a trapeze, Don’t Open Your Eyes is a fast-paced escape with a fresh premise. It’s popcorn fiction—best enjoyed with the lights off and one eye open.

I’ll definitely keep my eyes open (but not too open) for the author’s next thriller.

This was yet another excellent thriller by Liv Constantine. Any books by this author become an automatic want to read. This did not disappoint, and I couldn’t put the book down. The multiple POV really did a great job showing multiple sides. There’s so much I’d want to say about the way this plays out and the multiple crazy twists but I don’t want to share any spoilers. This book will definitely be a hit when it releases!

Do you have deja vue? Is it because of something you dreamed?

Annabelle appears to have the perfect life. Doctor husband, James, and 2 children, Scarlett and Olivia, and works in social networking with an amazing house in a great neighborhood. Very early in the book, it is hinted that there is something in her past. Annabelle begins having dreams, dark life changing dreams. She begins feeling anxious as they start coming true.

It's hard to figure out where the dreams and storyline are leading you. I was blown away when things started coming together.

I loved the multiple points of view and going back to before Annabelle got married. Scarlett's story had me on the edge of my seat.

Great read and definitely recommend! Publish date is June 2025
