Annabelle loves her life. She is happy with her career, her husband, and her 2 daughters. When she starts having dreams that become true she shears to really get freaked out. Her husband makes her think she is losing it, but she knows she isn’t crazy. Can she protect herself and her daughters from what she feels like might happen to them? Does she really know anyone in her life like she thinks she does? Who can she trust?

Constantine is a fantastic author. From beginning to end she weaves a thrilling story that you have to just attempt to keep up with! A must read author for me and she never misses!

Thank you for the digital arc of this book. Liv Constantine has become a favorite author of mine.

There are different moving timelines, but I felt it was easy to keep up and not get confused. Secrets and dreams throughout. Keeps you pulled in with the twist and turns.

The premise of this novel reminded me of the late 70s movie The Eyes of Laura Mars. Can dreams really come true? Sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t. This gripping psychological thriller kept me on the edge of my seat. A little slow in the beginning but the end will make you glad you didn’t give up on it. Thank you NetGalley for the Arc!

(Really 4.5 stars) Definitely a page tuner! Annette’s dreams hooked me. I was curious on the fight together and why she was having them.

I really enjoyed this book and did have a hard time putting this book down. I had theories floating in my head from early on and had fun reading while everything was unfolding. I knew everyone was hiding something but was not sure what it was. There was one twist that did take me for a surprise (it is hard to surprise me) but I figured most of the rest out. Even though was able to figure what was happening, it did not take away from the book but made it all more enjoyable to watch it unfold.

I love reading Liv Constantine’s books and love how original her stories and mysteries are. I will continue to read her books and have already started recommending this one to other book lovers. Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and Liv Constantine for this book. This review is my own thoughts and opinions.

What an addicting book! This had me hooked from page one. I didn’t want to put it down!

Annabelle seems to have the perfect life with two daughters and a doctor for a husband. She is quite successful in her own career involving social media marketing . One minor issue, Annabelle is having nightmares that an actuality are turning out to be premonitions. And not win the lottery kind of a premonition. James, her doctor husband, of course, does not believe her and attributes them to stress.

The story is mainly told through multiple points of view, obviously from Annabelle both her past and present self and through Scarlett her eldest daughter. This helps provide a little bit of backstory as well as another alternating perspective. I will say some of Scarlett’s actions made me shake my head, but she’s a teenage girl so I assume that can be expected. I like the past and present timelines as it helped paint a picture of what was going on with Annabelle, with the past time, being my favorite

I loved the first 3/4 of this book. I absolutely could not put it down. Then the ending happened and I was just disappointed. It’s certainly wasn’t boring. It just went more into LMN territory than what I was expecting. I also felt the dreams, once their use as a plot device was finished, they sort of never got fully explained minus a small reference to Annabelle‘s grandmother. It isn’t a loose end. I just was curious that’s all! Overall, it was still an entertaining book and I would highly recommend giving it a try.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my advanced copy in exchange for an honest review

I am a huge fan of Constantine’s work, and this is no exception. The twists kept coming, and the intrigue kept at a high speed. It kept me totally absorbed as I was on a long-haul flight. Another hit for sure, and another terrific beach read

In this twisty thrill ride from author duo Liv Constantine, Annabelle is a mother with a dreamy doctor husband and two lovely daughters. She’s suddenly started having dreams that become premonitions. She begins to fear for her daughter’s safety and wonder if she can trust her husband. The lines between her subconscious and reality become blurred, and Annabelle needs to figure out how to keep her family safe.

I am a big fan of this author team, and The Last Mrs. Parrish is an all-time favorite thriller of mine. This book started off strong for me, but fizzled a bit by the end. The writing felt a bit rushed, the dialogue seemed unrealistic, and overall it just needed additional editing. Since I read an early copy, it’s possible these changes may be made before publishing and so that may be irrelevant, but it was distracting to me. Although it posed an interesting question about dreams and reality, it almost seemed unfinished and left up in the air after a few twists. It’s a quick read, and entertaining, and I have no doubt it will definitely appeal to some thriller readers. However, I was left wanting a bit more.

Thank you to Liv Constantine and Ballantine books for the arc and opportunity to be an early reader and reviewer.

This starts like the thriller version of [book:What Alice Forgot|6469165], one of my favorite novels, but things spiral into darker, wilder territory from there. It also had the feel of old-school Mary Higgins Clark. The book is set in the present day, but I would totally believe it all happened on an 80s soap opera. (Each individual twist probably did, at one point or another!)

I found it hard to predict what would happen, because I wasn’t sure how supernatural Annabelle’s dreams would end up being. Also, no one writes absolutely infuriating, manipulative men quite like the sisters Constantine. It seems as if Lynne (one half of the sister duo) may have written this one alone? It’s every bit as good as the others!

4.5 stars. Dreams coming true?! Yes please! The premise had me hooked right away. Nice suspenseful story that keeps you wondering what is going to happen next! Loved other books by this author as well, so was super excited when I got an ARC of this new one! Definitely recommend! Thanks to NetGalley, author, and publishers for the advanced copy in exchange for my review.

This book was more of a popcorn thriller—it was pretty fast paced and easy to read. I thought it was an interesting concept and it was entertaining, but some of the twists were predictable or just very out there. It was also weird that some of the dreams came true in real life and others did not. I also thought it was a little strange having the story told from three different perspectives and I feel that it didn’t really add anything to the story. Quick read, but not my favorite.
Thank you to NetGalley & Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine for the ARC of this book.

4 solid stars! Author-sister duo Liv Constantine bring it yet again in “Don’t Open Your Eyes”! I was really drawn in to this fast-paced and quite suspenseful story about a mother who seems to be having nightmares that might be premonitions! Is her daughter really in danger??? Very quick & easy to read & enjoyed the twists, also liked the storytelling with multiple POV’s. Overall, a very readable thriller - good for summer reading! My thanks to Net Galley and the publisher for my advance readers copy - really appreciate the opportunity to read & review it early

Liv Constantine delivers a compelling narrative in Don't Open Your Eyes, blending domestic suspense with elements of the supernatural. The story follows Annabelle Reynolds, a devoted wife and mother, whose idyllic life unravels as she begins experiencing vivid dreams that eerily predict future events. When these premonitions hint at imminent danger to her daughter Scarlett, Annabelle is thrust into a desperate quest to alter fate and protect her family.

The novel's strength lies in its exploration of maternal instincts and the lengths one will go to safeguard loved ones. The suspense is palpable, with multiple perspectives adding depth and complexity to the narrative. While some plot developments stretch plausibility, the emotional resonance and relentless pacing keep readers engaged.

Don't Open Your Eyes is a thought-provoking read that challenges perceptions of destiny and free will, making it a standout addition to the psychological thriller genre.

Thank you to NetGalley and @RandomHousePub for this ARC. Annabelle keeps having tragic dreams that actually come true and now she is trying to live her life and her family's lives around these dreams. How far will she go when she finds out her life and her daughter are in danger? Good read! The twist at the end makes the book! #DontOpenYourEyes #LivConstantine #RandomHouseBallatine #June2025

I wouldn't say I'm a seasoned Liv Constantine reader, but I have enjoyed her two most popular novels, The Last Mrs. Parish and The Next Mrs. Parish. Both captivated me for different reasons, so I approached Don’t Open Your Eyes with high expectations for its thrill and mystery. However, the premise of this latest book differs from the others and carries a somewhat supernatural vibe. I don’t mind supernatural elements in novels unless they feel forced, which was somewhat the case here.

Annabelle appears to have a perfect life; she has a doctor husband, a rewarding job, and two beautiful daughters she adores. Yet, beneath the surface lies a tension, as everyone, including Annabelle, is hiding secrets. Her daughter Scarlett is having a difficult year with friendships at school and may have gotten involved with the wrong crowd, all while sharing personal details online with a stranger. Annabelle's husband, James, seems like the ideal spouse, but there's a manipulative side to him, and Annabelle herself is experiencing strange dreams that feel more like waking nightmares. Alarmingly, these dreams start to come true.

The story's setup felt slow to me, and I found that the chapters titled "The Wife" and "Ben" were more distracting than helpful in leading up to the reveal. I struggled to follow these plot points, and the pacing became tedious. However, I must say that the story picked up significantly toward the end, which turned out to be the most enjoyable part of the entire novel.

I saw some of the plot twists coming, but not others.

The thing I appreciate about Liv Constantine books is there are often secret narrators that you never know how they connect, and how they connect often blow my mind.

Annabelle is living her life with her husband and two daughters when something weird starts happening: She'll dream about horrible things happening, and then they happen. When her dreams shift from vague things like plane crashes to specific things happening to her family, she starts freaking out. Her own husband writes her off as someone who needs therapy.

I definitely picked up on some people not being who they should be, but definitely didn't see other aspects of that ending coming!

Thanks, NetGalley!

Postcards from Planet Outlier........

Don't Open Your Eyes baked, sauteed, fried, and poached in sudsy soap opera vibes. Now don't get me wrong. I love the dynamic sister duo who call themselves Liv Constantine. The writing is as strong as ever here, but the storyline guarantees that every predictable pot lid will find the matching pot. Let's discuss.

Annabelle has been having some wonky, wonky dreams as of late. She's wife of James, a neurologist, and mother to teenage Scarlett and young Olivia. Annabelle is a successful social media professional. But all that slides to the wayside when she wakes up each morning.

Her dreams are about her husband, her daughters, and her job. That's normal you say. Sure, until the elements of these dreams come true the next day. Having feelings of the future visit us all in some way or another. But these slumbering happenings are invoking thoughts of real danger. (Liv Constantine has my attention. Moving onward.)

Annabelle discusses them with her husband. He thinks she's just overworked. He doesn't believe her. Then coincidences start to raise their ugly heads. We're good here. Really good.

Then Liv Constantine switches gears and we walk into daughter Scarlett's room. Scarlett is texting a young dude who sympathisizes with her about school life and her snooty friends. He's sixteen. Now he wants to meet up with Scarlett. Sound familiar? Teenage texting.....How will this go down?

But the kicker is Annabelle's past life. Only her husband James knows the brunt of it. And what a brunt it is. Again, soap opera city in the making. I was so locked in at the beginning of this book. But then it began to sink into sudsy water deeper and deeper. Yup, I enjoy a good popcorn thriller, but this one kinda left the stratosphere in believability. Nevertheless, it's still a good romp into compromising situations that take their toll later in life. We'll have to pay the Piper, now don't we?

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley for an honest review. My thanks to Random House and to Liv Constantine for the opportunity.

It should come as no surprise that this was another original, unputdownable thriller from Liv Constantine! I wasn’t sure where the story was going to take us and I loved every minute of it! Annabelle has everything. She is successful, has 2 daughters, is married to a doctor, and is witnessing her nightmares come to life. Could she be psychic? Is it woman’s intuition? Does she need a therapist? Be prepared to read this in a day as you won’t want to put it down! Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

Don't Open Your Eyes kept my attention and I enjoyed reading this one- a little implausible and frustrating as a reader but that is the experience a lot of times with suspense novels. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
