Annabelle has the perfect life...a husband who adores her, two beautiful daughters and a thriving career. Everything changes when she starts to have dreams that become reality. What she doesn't know is that something that happened in the past will be revealed and the truth will come out. Compelling, riveting and shocking.
Thanks to Netgalley for the advanced reading copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

Cue the Ozzy Osborne “Crazy Train” soundtrack….this one takes you on a wild ride. It kept me up until the wee hours of the morning finishing it so I am giving it 5 stars just because it is so entertaining. Dreams that are like premonitions and characters that make you wonder who you can trust…this is a good one!

Liv Constantine always delivers doesn’t she! The twist Queen really got me with this one. I was certain I had this one figured out and then bam 💥 Gosh it was good, and much better than my theory 😂
I read this in an afternoon, really enjoying the dual timelines and learning more about Annabelle, the woman with the seemingly perfect life.married to a doctor, a beautiful house and 2 daughters, as well as a job she loved. It is a fast paced and entertaining thriller that will keep you turning the pages. The dreams coming to life was freaky, I would not want my weird dreams coming true.
Thriller readers you know this author is amazing and you just have to read it.
Thanks to Random House Publishing Ballantine, Bantam for my early copy to read on NetGalley. Publishes on June 17th.

This book was so completely far fetched and unbelievable. It was a little off the walls at times and a lot of the time, I wanted to give up and stop reading. But I have read all of lib Constantine’s books and always enjoy them, so I persevered. The flow of the book was off, with the premonitions being so prominent, then I feel like that theory just dissolved. There were a lot of loose ends and I was able to predict every twist, which I never am able to do. It was all so blatantly obvious. I still look forward to what they release next.

Liv Constantine delivers a solidly twisty, entertaining read that arrives just in time for summer vacation reading. I liked the use of Annabelle's dreams and the things they portend, and while this isn't the least predictable book, it delivers enough cleverness and good use of character to keep readers attention.

Can dreams predict the future? I would like to believe so! This book had an enticing premise, about a woman whose dreams are premonitions to the future, however, I didn’t feel connected to the characters to really care much about the threat that those dreams presented. The story felt more like a telling of the everyday minutiae of a family, going to school, work, home, rinse and repeat. There wasn’t a whole lot going on that made me invested in their lives. For a story about dreams (or nightmares!) being reality, I wanted something darker and deeper with the characters it affected.

4.25 stars. Don't Open Your Eyes by Liv Constantine was a wild ride. The premise had me hooked right away—Annabelle’s seemingly perfect life unraveling through terrifying premonitions? Yes, please. Some parts felt a little slow, but the twists more than made up for it. The ending hit hard in the best way—just when I thought I had things figured out, another twist came flying at me. The suspense built steadily, and the stakes kept rising, especially once Scarlett’s safety came into question. If you're into domestic thrillers with a touch of the supernatural and a whole lot of jaw-dropping moments, this one delivers.

I received a complementary ARC of this book from NetGalley on behalf of the author and the publisher.
This novel is full of twists and turns. Annabelle loves her daughters, career and her husband. Things start to change and decisions she's made in her past that are coming back to the forefront and making her unsure of the where her life is going. The story goes back in time to her college years and then back to current day. Good fast paced read for the summer!

💭 I loved this book! It was such an easy read and I couldn’t finish it fast enough!
Annabelle is having dreams that start to come true. It becomes torture for her as she tried to decipher which part of her dreams are real, and which part is just her imagination. Meanwhile her daughter is talking to a boy on the internet and makes plans to meet up with him. This is when her life comes face to face with danger.
I loved the dream sequences and trying to figure out who Anabelle’s daughter was talking to. Was it really another kid her age? Or something more sinister?
Psychological thrillers are one of my favorite genres! This is a book I will remember! Although I will say the title seemed to not exactly fit the storyline, but I will let you read and see if you agree with me or not!

Wow! This book sucked me in right from the beginning. The fast pace and short chapters made it for a quick read. I could not put it down, when I wasn't reading it I was thinking about what was going to happen next.
Told from multiple POV and timelines it keeps you guessing. The first 60% flew by for me. Can someone's dreams really predict the future? Then it started to slow down for me. The final twists were kind of predictable and the ending just didn't do it for me. I felt like I needed more of a wrap up with the dreams, once the secret was out all talk of the dreams stopped.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Bantam for an ARC of Don't Open Your Eyes by Liv Constantine for an honest review.

What if you started having nightmares about your husband and children and some of them started coming true? Annabelle isn’t sure if she is going crazy or if she is being warned? Her doctor husband chalks it up to stress but she loves her family and her career in marketing. What she doesn’t know is that her 15 year old daughter is talking to a boy she met online and planning to meet in secret and thinks her parents are harbouring secrets of their own. Another super twisty family drama by Liv Constantine that will have you guessing until the end!
Thank you to Random House Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC. #dontopenyoureyes #netgalley

I want to start with the caveat that this wasn’t my favorite book by this duo/author and I seem to be in the minority with my feelings. Annabelle seems to have it all and starts as a likable character, then you start questioning her reliability as a narrator which made for a good story but the dreams became too much for me. She also became very pushy and as a mother, I wanted her to be more understanding and empathetic. One of my guesses was close, but there were quite a few twists in the last few chapters made for a great ending. An easy fast paced read, fans should add it to their TBR

She is living a dream life...
...so why have her dreams suddenly become nightmares?
Annabelle's life is pretty much perfect....a loving husband James who is a successful doctor, a marketing career she enjoys, two daughters she adores, and a house close to the beach in a cute Connecticut town. Having been raised by a single mother whom she lost too young to Alzheimer's she never thought she could achieve this level of happiness, and doesn't take it for granted, She loves her husband, not in the crazy head-over-heels way one sees in the movies (been there, done that, and ended up shattered), but in a comfortable way which is surely better. Her older daughter Scarlett has entered the moody teen years, and is going through the angst that is high school life, but even with those minor blips Annabelle knows how lucky she is. Then she starts having dreams, unsettling ones that she can't explain in which her caring and supportive husband is violent, and where things happen that soon turn out to be true with disturbing accuracy. Is she having some form of psychic visions, or is there a more logical explanation? If that isn't stressful enough, she gets a new boss at work with whom she's not really thrilled, and Scarlett is engaging in some risky behavior which may bring a whole lot of trouble to their door and which may be connected to secrets that Annabelle and James have been keeping. Danger is coming, but will Annabelle's dreams help her stop it from ruining her family?
Don't Open Your Eyes is a twisty domestic thriller where perfect lives turn out to be not so perfect, and not everyone is who they seem to be. Annabelle has lived through some tough periods in her life, and in James has found the safety and security she has needed. He is protective...or is it controlling? Scarlett has been dumped by her lifelong best friend and is turning to new people for friendship both at school and online....has she chosen wisely, or is she trusting the wrong person? The dark side of social media and a slight air of psychic abilities are mixed in to the page-turning story, which switches from the present to Before, when Annabelle was losing her mother and dealing with major stresses, and between the points of view of Annabelle (in both time periods), Scarlett and The Wife. The complicated relationship that exists between mothers and daughters, the pull of career vs family, the struggles of teen life and the destruction that buried secrets can cause are all elements explored as a twisted plan slowly comes to fruition. While not every twist came as a huge shock to me (I've read more than my share of thrillers, and I tend to regard all characters and plot events with a jaundiced eye), I found this novel hard to put down and read it through in one big gulp. A great summer read, by the pool or the beach or on a plane, sure to be enjoyed by readers of Lisa Jewell, Megan Miranda and Freida McFadden, this should be on your summer TBR list. My thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine/Bantam Books for allowing me access to this fast-paced thriller in exchange for my honest review.

4/5⭐️
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the newest release from Liv Constantine!
Liv Constantine is an auto-read author for me, so I was excited to dive into this one. We follow Annabelle, a mom, wife, and social media marketing employee, who begins having dreams that are really more premonitions. She becomes more and more convinced that something bad is going to happen, specifically to her eldest daughter. Will her dreams help her keep her family together, or will her paranoia rip it apart?
I read this book in two days. The chapters were short and I felt like the pacing was pretty good, and then really ramped up at the end. The ultimate explanation/resolution did seem like a reach, but I was entertained. This is a classic popcorn thriller. If you like her previous works, you’ll like this one.

You really have to suspend your belief with this one 🥴
I loved The Last Mrs. Parish, but this was such a disappointment. The first half of the book relies on vague snippets to build suspense (which is annoying and lazy IMO) and then…the plot turned into an epic eye roll.
This was one of my most anticipated reads of the summer, so to say I am bummed is an understatement.
I received an advanced copy from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

At first, I wasn’t sure I’d make it through—this one starts slow—but I’m glad I stuck with it. The pace really picks up, and the ending delivers a fast, twisty punch. Even though I figured out the twist early on, I still enjoyed watching it all unfold.
The story follows Annabelle, who seems to have it all: a happy family, a great career, and a good life. But when disturbing dreams start to mirror real-life events—especially a terrifying vision involving her daughter—Annabelle begins to question everything, including her own future.
If you’re a fan of psychological thrillers with eerie twists and a slow burn that pays off, this is one to add to your list.

Don’t Open Your Eyes by Liv Constantine
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We’ve all experienced dèjá vu moments where we feel the current situation is something we’ve experienced before. But have you ever dreamt something only to have it actually happen? Precognitive dreams are dreams that seem to predict future outcomes. This is what Annabelle is experiencing. Being married to a neurologist, James and having 2 daughters, Olivia and Scarlett, her life seems perfect. Annabelle starts having these weird, troubling dreams that end up occurring in real life. She starts having doubts and anxiety especially when making decisions regarding her children, work and husband.
As someone who is fascinated by dreams, this novel captured my interest. Told through multiple timelines and multiple POVs, revealing bits and pieces of Annabelle and James’ past had me hooked. Not just a fast paced thriller, it also touches on relatable topics like parenting teenagers, marital and work balance. And it wouldn’t be a proper Liv Constantine novel without twists and turns that I didn’t see coming! A huge thank you to @NetGalley, @livconstantine2 (author of The Last Mrs Parrish series) and @ballantinebooks for the advanced ebook of #DontOpenYourEyes .. A great summer read which I finished in 2 days! Don’t Open Your Eyes comes out this month- June 17.

I flew through this in two sittings because I had to know what was going on. Liv Constantine knows how to craft suspense that keeps you hooked, and the twists (some expected, some not) made for a compelling read.
That said, a few elements didn’t work for me. I struggled with the dialogue; it just didn’t feel natural, which occasionally pulled me out of the story. I also didn’t think the dream sequences added much; the plot would’ve worked just as well (or better) without them. And while I appreciated the layered perspectives, the wife’s POV felt unnecessary to me.

I really like this one... until the end. In my opinion, this is one of Liv Constantine's best yet (minus the ending). I was hooked from the start. I had a lot of theories, but every single one of them were wrong. The twist was well done, but there was one element that I did not like. Overall, would recommend this one!

I can't recommend it enough! I really enjoyed this book, I couldn't put it down, I finished it in a couple of days!
