Sipping thoughts: So many twists and turns and reveals. Some of them you will see coming, and some you more than likely wonโ€™t. I love it when I go into a book thinking one thing, and then it takes a pleasant surprise into something else. Annabelle was in for a rollercoaster ride throughout the whole book. The question she had to ask her is, can she trust her dreams and/or the people in her waking moments.

Cheers and thank you to @Netgalley and @RandomHousePublishingGroupBallantine for an advanced copy of @DontOpenYourEyes.

Donโ€™t Open Your Eyes follows Annabelle Reynolds, a woman who seemingly has it allโ€”a loving husband, two daughters, and a fulfilling career. But her perfect life begins to unravel when sheโ€™s plagued by vivid, unsettling dreams of a future where everything has gone horribly wrong. At first, she brushes them off as stress-induced nightmaresโ€”until those dreams start coming true in ways she couldnโ€™t have possibly predicted. As the line between reality and premonition blurs, Annabelle must figure out how to stop a vision where her daughter Scarlettโ€™s life hangs in the balance.

This nail-biting psychological thriller had me fully immersed from page one. The suspense builds with each chapter, and the plot twists? Completely unexpectedโ€”I gasped more than once! Liv Constantine masterfully plays with fate, free will, and maternal instinct in a way that feels both terrifying and emotionally grounded.

Scarlett, the daughter, tested my patience a bitโ€”I wanted to shake her out of her naivetyโ€”but that only added to the tension and urgency of the story. Annabelleโ€™s desperation to protect her family kept me turning pages well into the night.

This was my first read from Liv Constantine, and Iโ€™m officially a fan. If you love psychological thrillers with jaw-dropping twists and an intense, emotional core, Donโ€™t Open Your Eyes deserves a spot on your TBR.

Thanks to Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine and Bantam for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

8.5/10 this one was a quick read, didnโ€™t feel strenuous at all. I was very intrigued to know where it was going to go and how everything would tie together. i thought the book was good, although the build up to the lucas/tara/chase reveal could have been bigger. it felt like tara confessed everything in word vomit, with no pacing of the reveals /twists.

Great book! The story kept me guessing what was coming next.I found myself not wanting to put the book down so I could find out what happens. I kept wondering if the main character was dreaming or if this was something that was actually happening in the story. Very suspensful.

Another fast paced thriller from Liv Constantine that did not disappoint. Quick chapters, countless unreliable characters, and enough psychological gymnastics to drive anyone crazy. A great read that keeps you on your toes until the very end.

I really like this author and I couldnโ€™t wait to read her new one! She is great at a thriller with surprises and misdirection.

Annabelle is a successful mother, wife, and business woman. As of lately she has been have premonition nightmares that come true. As they esclate and involve her daughters she canโ€™t help but act on them. We get alternating perspectives from her, her daughter Scarlett, and โ€œbeforeโ€, which keeps with the mystery.

I really liked how all the pieces came together even if I knew some of what was happening. Love her storytelling and creative plots.

Liv Constantine continues to surprise me with their unique thrillers. This one reminded me a lot of the movie premonition and I ate this plot up! The anxiety I felt over what was to come next was intense. I think the underlying messages are also alarming and important. Do you know who your teens are talking to? New fears will be unlocked. This was an excellent book!

Donโ€™t Open Your Eyes is a fast-paced, twisty thriller that kept me hooked from start to finish. Liv Constantine does a great job building suspense and throwing in just enough surprises to keep you guessing. The story has that perfect mix of glamour, secrets, and psychological tension. If you're into thrillers with a dark edge and lots of drama, this oneโ€™s a fun ride.

*Donโ€™t Open Your Eyes* is a tightly-wound psychological thriller that had me hooked from the very first page. Liv Constantine masterfully builds a sense of unease that lingers, deepening with every chapter. The tension is so palpable that I found myself racing through the pages, desperate to uncover the truth. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the twist cameโ€”sharp, unexpected, and deliciously satisfying. A must-read for anyone who loves suspense that keeps you guessing until the final moment.

This was an interesting, engaging book.
The story revolves around Annabelle, a wife and mother, who has dreams with premonitions. She fears for the lives of her husband and children.
When her teenage daughter gets into serious trouble, the ultimate plot is revealed.
There were multiple events and plots, which are described in alternating chapters. All eventually lead up to the surprise ending..
Thank you to NetGalley and Ballantine Books for the advanced copy in return for my honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and publisher for the digital ARC of โ€œDonโ€™t Open Your Eyesโ€ in exchange for my honest opinion. I really enjoyed this book and the use of dreams to drive the plot. There was solid character development, multiple viewpoints, the glimpses into the past worked well, and the twists were well timed. While there were some truly terrible and manipulative characters, I was rooting for Annabelle throughout the story. This was a solid four stars and I would definitely recommend it.

Annabelle is a career woman, balancing motherhood of her two daughters and marriage to an esteemed doctor. Life isn't perfect, but it is very good. Until she starts having dreams about horrible life events. Life events that haven't happened. Yet. She's shaken, but when some of the details of her nightmares start happening, she realizes these dreams are a frightening premonition. Her husband, when she finally tells him, chalks it up to stress and says she should just work less. The stereotypical response of a male to a female. You need to rest/you are crazy.

One night, Annabelle has a nightmare that their eldest daughter is in danger and will die, but she has no idea why. As she tries to navigate her nightmares with life, a new client at work enters the picture, and he is overly demanding for no reason.

I felt like this book was a slow burn, but worth it. The character development was superb. As a former teenage female, I felt the angst of their oldest daughter. This book did not go where I expected at all. Definitely worth a read. Solid book. Very entertaining.

the concept of this story is really interesting, but i wasnt a fan of the execution. when the plot started to pick up towards the end, so many twists (which were predictable) kept on happening so fast i was getting whiplash. i was still pretty engaged with the story tho and it helped me get out of a reading slump

This was not a good reading experience. The writing wasnโ€™t good. Extremely overwrought and lots of showing, not telling. Wasnโ€™t too impressed with the twists and turns either.

It has been a minute since a book has pulled a twist like that on me!! Many authors these days are either writing books that are so predictable you don't even need to read them OR pulling ridiculous twist after twist that not even Inspector Gadget could see (not to mention that complete insanity).Liv Constantine in "Don't Open Your Eyes gave me one of my top page turning thrillers of summer 2025, and at the end threw in some twist that were tactfully thrown in to knock me off my saddle.
Part of the book was a bit far fetched--the main character was having disturbing dreams that were coming true--but that aside I was completely entertained and found myself eager to finish the book. The writing was effortless. She did a great job setting the tone as one POV was from Scarlett, the protagonist teenage daughter. The alternating POV's really set the bar high for tension and intrigue,
Despite my deep dislike for paranormal/premonition type things, I couldn't help but love how Constantine opened chapters with a very ominous dream Annabelle would have...I actually found my self flying through chapters to see if it would come true...my heart was pounding.
In addition to a suspenseful present timeline, the reader is given chapters into Annabelle;s life prior to her "picture perfect" marriage to James. As those chapters reveal more and more about what happened prior toher current life, and the present story unfolding, there comes a point where you realize they are going to collide.
Liv Constatine proved again that she is worhty of auto-read status!

Thank you net galley for allowing me to read this advanced copy of Don't Open Your Eyes. I was not paid for my honest original review.

Annabelle Reynolds has a happy life with her husband and daughters, but when she starts having nightmares that come true, she knows these are premonitions. She dreams of a horrible accident only to see it on TV.

When she dreams that her daughter Scarlett is in immediate danger, Annabelle struggles to make the right choices to prevent a tragedy sheโ€™s not sure she can stop. She is also not sure what part of her dreams are prophecies and which are just bad dreams.

The book moves back and forth between the past- how she met her husband- and the present. As the story progresses, secrets and lies comes to light.

Why Jackie loves it

I thought this book was well-written and well-plotted. I was not sure where the book was headed or what was going to happen. The story got better with each page. #gifted by Bantam and PRH Audio

This one gave me almost out of body horror type vibes. I loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, and so of course I HAD to grab this new release from Liv Constantine. I will say it definitely kept me engaged throughout the book, but I needed more, and I wasn't sure exactly what.

Annabelle starts having wicked crazy dreams, but the kicker is they are more like premonitions or bad things to come. Her husband thinks she's crazy, she is also starting to feel that way, but if she can save someone - she will do what she can with her "gift".

Grab this twisty psychological thriller today!

This is a sleek, fast-paced thriller that grabs your attention early and refuses to let it drift. Donโ€™t Open Your Eyes is packed with secrets, double-crosses, and moments that make you question every character's motiveโ€”including your own judgment as a reader.

Liv Constantine writes with that glossy, cinematic flair that makes her thrillers addictive. The pacing here is tight, with just enough misdirection to keep the pages turning. Every chapter ends with a small hit of dread, and by the final act, things spiral in the best possible way.

Some twists were easier to predict, but that didnโ€™t dull the tension. The payoff isnโ€™t just in the revealโ€”itโ€™s in watching the characters unravel as truths start to bleed through. Thereโ€™s something delicious about watching someone try to hold it all together when we know they wonโ€™t.

This is perfect for readers who want a fast read with high drama, rich people behaving badly, and women who donโ€™t go down quietly.

Thank you @livconstantine2, @netgalley, and @ballantinebooks for an ARC of Donโ€™t Open Your Eyes by Liv Constantine! Iโ€™m such a fan of their past work (The Last Mrs,Parrish, The Wife Stalker, etc.) and they are definitely an auto-read author for me and truly write the perfect novel when Iโ€™m in the mood for a classic & twisty domestic thriller.

Annabelle is living the perfect life. A devoted husband, financial security, two loving daughters, and a career she loves. Then she starts experiencing nightmares of the future, which turn out to be vision that turn into reality- including one involving the safety of her oldest daughter. Can Annabelle trust herself and others around her? Can she change the course of the future for everyone?

I loved this one! I was feeling the desire for a simple popcorn thriller and this was that and more. A multi-POV and alternating timeline approach to a thriller is always a win for me (including a mystery POV ๐Ÿ‘€). I also enjoyed the supernatural elements to the story and how the twists kept coming-AND coming! I donโ€™t want to say too much, but this is definitely a thriller worth reading!
