Just when I think this duo’s writing can’t get any better, they prove me wrong. This was FANTASTIC. Talk about a psychological trip. Fmc Annabelle has these insane dreams that she thinks are predicting the future. And they really are, down to every single detail. Annabelle has a dream that her daughter is in immediate danger. But she couldn’t predict the wild ride that it takes her on. I could not put this down, once it takes off it is a true thriller masterpiece. I’ve read several thrillers this year, NONE compare to this. From beginning to end you will be on the edge of your seat. I continued to think that I had it figured out and another unpredictable twist was thrown in. Leaving me absolutely speechless at the end. There will not be a better thriller in 2025, no doubt. This book deserves all the praise and many awards. This duo writes in ways others cannot. Don’t miss this book, you’ll be sad you did! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an arc!

Just finished my advanced reader’s copy of Don’t Open Your Eyes by the powerhouse duo Liv Constantine and HOLY PLOT TWIST, BATMAN — this one’s an automatic ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me!
Liv Constantine is an instant buy author in my world. Her psychological thrillers? Unmatched. Smart, layered, twisty in all the right ways. Whether it’s The Last Mrs. Parrish or The Senator’s Wife, she’s got that magic that makes you cancel all your plans just to keep flipping pages. Every. Single. Time.
This book? A mind-bending, pulse-pounding, trust-no-one thrill ride. I felt like that conspiracy theory meme guy — you know, the one with the wild hair, giant pinboard, red string everywhere, looking half unhinged trying to connect the dots? Yeah. That was me.
Don’t Open Your Eyes dives into juicy themes like fate vs. free will, maternal instinct, gaslighting, deception, and the age-old question: can you really ever trust what you see — or who you love? There’s premonitions, unreliable narrators, eerie vibes, multiple POVs, and delicious domestic suspense. I genuinely had no idea who to trust (or fear), and that delicious tension kept me on the edge of my seat to the very last page.
If you’re a thriller fan, mark your calendars: this gem hits shelves June 17, 2025. RUN, don’t walk. Your summer TBR needs this.
And that, my fellow bookworms, is today’s tea on Don’t Open Your Eyes ☕️💥

Annabelle Reynolds has everything she ever wanted until she doesn`t... she starts have disturbing dreams about the future in which she hates her husband and her daughters are in danger. Then the dreams start coming true... This was so good! This was a psychological thriller at its best. It kept me guessing and had twists I did not see coming. Every Liv Constantine book you just don't want to put down.

The dynamic duo has done it again! (Raise your hand if you didn't know Liv Constantine is actually TWO people?)
Twists, twists, and more twists! Every time you think you have it figured out... SURPRISE! This one took me just a few days to finish.
If you enjoyed The Last Mrs. Parrish, this one needs to be on your To Be Read list!
So what is this all about??
Annabelle Reynolds is our main character, and I'll be honest. I wasn't sure if we could trust her! I had this feeling she was an unreliable narrator, but that was not the case. So Annabelle appears to have it all - a devoted husband, two beautiful daughters, and a marketing career she loves. She couldn’t be happier, right? So why is she suddenly plagued by disturbing dreams of a very near future in which her husband is not at all who she thinks he is, and her daughters’ lives are at risk? At first, she chalks the dreams up to an overactive imagination. But when details from her dreams that she couldn’t possibly have predicted, begin to materialize, she realizes these aren’t just dreams but premonitions of a terrifying future. As Annabelle’s present life collides with the future in her dreams, she wrestles with how much control she really has over her destiny and whether she can change what is meant to be.
As someone who appreciates dream interpretation, I was all over this book! While the first half was a little slow for me, it definitely started to pick up in the second half. (This is common for thrillers sometimes) I could NOT put it down because I had to have answers to all the many questions riddling my brain! At some points, I had more questions than answers, but I feel like everything made sense at the end. The plot was slightly different than what I originally expected, but not at all a bad thing!
Thank you so very much to NetGalley and Random House - Ballantine Books for this e-ARC!

I love Liv Constantine's books, and this one was no exception. While I will always have a special place in my heart for The Last Mrs. Parrish, I devoured this one in a few sittings. Annabelle has the perfect life, loving husband and two amazing daughters. However, she starts having nightmares that seem to be coming true, and Annabelle will do anything to stop these horrific things from her nightmares from happening. Constantine typically writes thrillers, and while this one is marketed as such, I felt it had a bit of a sci-fi twist. I love sci-fi, which is most likely why I went along with some of the more fantastical events that happened. Definitely a great read!

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC!
Overall, this was a solid turnout for Liv Constantine. Plenty of secrets between husband and wife, mother and children, plenty of drama that kept me entertained, and plenty of mess when those secrets were revealed.
I would rate this 3.5 ⭐️, because while it kept me hooked, it didn’t leave me with the same impact that The Last Mrs. Parrish did. But nonetheless, a fun, quick read!

I love this author, so I was very excited to read this book, however I found it to be just average. I didn't really find any of the characters that compelling and didn't care much about them. Pretty predictable and didn't really stand out.

I have been in a.reading.slump the pastweek or two, not really able to get into anything. This book was exactly what I needed! I started it this morning and finished it this evening! I was immediately sucked into Annabelles story.
Annabelle starts having nightmares about her husband attacking her, then a strange man and then her daughter getting injured (to name a few). Ans slowly the dreams atart coming true. Her husband blows off the dreams claiming she has them after the incidents happen, but they are always before. Suddenly the strange man appears in her life and everything is thrown upside down.
She doesn't know what to belive and if she can trust husband or even herself.
I could not stop turning the pages, there were so many twists and turns! I highly recommend this new thriller by Liv Constantine.

This one was so much different than the authors previous books but I binged it in a day because I couldn't stop reading! The premise is so unique and the way the author tells the story hooks you! I really enjoyed it.

What happens when your dreams become your reality? Annabelle begins to discover this as her seemingly perfect life begins to fray. I was hooked from the first chapter of Don't Open Your Eyes as the twists kept coming! This is told from the perspectives of several different characters, including flashbacks of Annabelle in the past. 5 stars for me-loved it! Thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine for the ARC. All opinions are my own. Expected publication date: June 17, 2025

Fantastic book! I would highly recommend both this book and other books by this author. Be sure to read this book!

There are definitely still some spacing and editing errors in this book which I'm sure will be addressed. At some points it felt like there was a little too much going on, a lot of back and forth between present and past and different people, but overall a very fast paced and easy, quick read. Some things were predictable, others weren't until after the fact when I realized I probably should have put 2 and 2 together.

I am so thankful for receiving an early copy of this book to read! One of the favorite authors and this book did not disappoint. I loved everything about it and it was so well written you didn’t know what was coming, until the end.

This was a well written book by an unknown author of mine. This is definitely a book that I'd highly recommend reading.

This is the kind of book where you know something is off, but you don’t know what exactly. And you have to hope the balance of tension and doling out clues is paced well so you don’t get frustrated and annoyed.
The story is told from several points of view, Annabelle in the present and in the past, along with her daughter’s POV and that of someone only referred to as wife.
Based on other books from this author, I totally expected things to be heading in one direction and I was pleasantly surprised when I was wrong.
As things shift, I was surprised several times and ultimately enjoyed the book a lot.

Are dreams a pathway to the soul? What happens when dreams and nightmares become reality? Annabelle appears to have it all; a perfect family, a wonderful career, and a bright future. Her seemingly perfect world is fractured as the line between dreams and reality becomes blurred. Is fate trying to tell her something, or is something more sinister at play? This character-driven addictive thriller hooked me from beginning to end. I was instantly pulled into Annabelle’s world of high anxiety and mystery. The countless twists and turns had me racing to the shocking and satisfying conclusion. I like how the story was told from multiple POVs and timelines. The plot was perfectly paced and never felt too slow or rushed. This thriller is the perfect cure for any reading slump. Thank you, NetGalley and Bantam Publishing for my advanced copy. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Don't Open Your Eyes is a thriller that follows a suburban mother who begins having premonitory nightmares involving her family.
I can't say I was super impressed with this one.
The writing is fairly simplistic, with a heavy emphasis on "telling" over "showing." The pacing is slow and repetitive, with Annabelle repeating known information for other characters' benefit as well as inner monologues consisting of the same thought processes and phrasing stated previously.
Annabelle's dreams are super descriptive, and while that's not a problem on its own, here they come off more as memories, which make them hard to believe. I also think not all of the perspectives are necessary to the plot, The Wife's in particular felt like it was really only there to misdirect and explain away backstory.
The ending definitely picks up, but the final reveal is so...bad. Like something straight out of a soap opera? The overly diabolical villains and dramatic plot devices definitely don't help.
Overall, this book just felt very convoluted and was, in many aspects, predictable.
Thank you to NetGalley, Random House Publishing - Ballantine, and the author Liv Constantine for this arc in exchange for an honest review. Book to be published June 17, 2025.

This was hands down my very favorite Liv Constantine book I’ve ever read! 👏🏼 There were a few times that I had to pick my jaw up off the floor over what I just read. Sooo twisty and absolutely unputdownable. Huge S/O to NetGalley for the ARC! Make sure to grab this amazing thriller on June 17th ☀️
4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was definitely darker than their other reads and the pacing in the beginning was a bit off. It definitely took me longer to get into and while I did enjoy this one, I would definitely recommend "The Last Mrs. Parish" series over this one! I did enjoy the multiple POV though!

This felt like one of Liv Constantine’s boldest books yet—darker, more layered, and full of intrigue. While there were parts that really pulled me in, especially the multi-POV structure and the mysterious wife’s storyline, the pacing made it tough to stay fully engaged early on. The beginning was especially slow, and it took a while for things to pick up. Still, the dual timelines and unexpected twists added tension and kept me curious. The writing is solid and the concept was compelling, even if the execution didn’t completely work for me. 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4.
