There is something about Liv Constantine's writing. It pulls you in and keeps you in its grasp from beginning to end. This particular story was perfectly paced and solidly structured. The words flowed seamlessy, and the story was compelling. I really liked that this story revolved around the protagonist's dreams. While this was more about predicting the future with dreams, it still held on to reality to make it feel believable. The twists were well done. Some predictable, some not. Overall, I really enjoyed this one and give it four stars.

My favorite sister duo is back with another twisty page-turner. "Don't Open Your Eyes" is a gripping and unique thriller. With some elements of magical realism, this novel was different from their other works, but I really enjoyed it. Told in dual timelines from the POVs of Annabelle, her oldest daughter Scarlett, and an unknown narrator, the story is full of tension and suspense. I truly had no idea who or what to believe. I can usually figure out the twists ahead of time, but this book was full of surprises and definitely kept me on my toes. This was quite an addicting book, and I finished it in just a few sittings. I was a little disappointed with the ending, and I wish Annabelle's dreams were explained a bit more. But overall, this was a fun thriller!

Thank you to NetGalley and Ballantine/Bamtam for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Annabelle Reynolds has it all—a loving husband, two amazing daughters, and a career she’s passionate about—until vivid, terrifying dreams start to shake the foundation of her perfect life. At first, she brushes them off, but when pieces of her dreams begin happening in real life, she realizes they might be warnings of a future she desperately wants to avoid. And when one vision reveals her daughter Scarlett is in immediate danger, every decision Annabelle makes feels like it could change everything. Don't Open Your Eyes was such a wild and gripping ride! I loved how the story unfolded with dual timelines and multiple POVs—it kept things really tense and made it hard to put down. The way the dreams started blending into reality totally messed with my head in the best way. Definitely a great read!

Annabelle is having very vivid dreams, dreams that seem to be predicting the future. She keeps dreaming that her daughter Scarlett is in trouble. Scarlett has met a new friend online, but is keeping him a secret. Told through several different POV's, and the past and present, this book is full of betrayal, secrets, deceit, and lies!

When I got this ARC I was SO EXCITED!! I can always count on Liv Constantine for some anxiety inducing twists and turns. This was an extremely fast read, at no point did I think it was dragging. The premonition-like dreams were a very interesting plot point, it was very different from her other stuff. I do wish that was explored more on a deeper level, we just sort of got the dreams, we didn't get to dig into where they came from or why she was able to get them. It was glossed over. The rest of the book really made up for that though. The POV between Scarlett and her new internet friend, a mystery "wife", Annabelle with the dreams and new client, and Annabelle in the past were so engaging. I could not wait to see what happened and how their individual stories unfolded and came together. And OMG the end, this book really delivered on the twists and turns. Some of them were obvious I must admit, but there were quite a few that kept coming after I thought we were done. This book did not disappoint, perfect summer thriller.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (4.25/5)

This one had a slow burn kind of buildup, but then outta nowhere—bam!—some wild stuff goes down. 😳 There is seriously no way you could guess the twist with how it’s written, which I actually loved. It kept me hooked and wanting to know more the entire time.

Overall—super entertaining, twisty, and definitely one to pick up if you like those “wait, WHAT just happened?!” kind of reads.

Annabelle's life is picture perfect until she starts having disturbing dreams that are starting to come true.  Can she control her destiny, or is it predetermined?

Thoughts 💭
Liv Constantine are favorite authors of mine, and I've read quite a few of their books.  This one took me some time to get into it.  It was a real slow burn, but it's laid out beautifully.  I was leaning towards giving it three stars because nothing really happened in the first 75% of the book, but the ending was explosive, and I moved my rating up to four stars.  Everything comes together at the end, and you just have to be patient enough to wait for it.  I do wish the premonition part of the story had more of an explanation other than it just started happening one day, and sometimes things came true.  It was a little random for a main plot point.

This was an interesting read. I enjoyed it but did have to suspend all belief. I love how Liv Constantine weave their characters together.

Annabelle has a wonderful life, with a husband and two daughters and a career she enjoys. But suddenly she is plagued by disturbing dreams, one she pushes away, that is until some of them start to come true. Are they premonitions or pure coincidence? And she can't imagine why she seems intent that her daughter Scarlett is in danger.

This one was wild and so twisted! Seriously, twist upon twist and so much happening in this one, it was an easy one to fly through. I can't say more without spoilers. Another highly entertaining read by the authors.

The pacing in the book was well done, kept me interested from beginning to end. The characters had great development, showing growth and their true colors. I did not see the big reveal in the end coming and enjoyed being surprised by the course of events. Liked how the past and present intertwined throughout the story. Could have been a little longer to go into how certain plot points that were later brushed over. Overall a well executed psychological thriller i will definitely recommend to others.

4.5 / 5 stars; ARC for review, thank you NetGalley and Ballantine!

Wow, what a rollercoaster!! Don't Open Your Eyes is full of twists and turns I did not see coming, but man did I enjoy the ride. If you're a fan of Liv Constantine's "The Last Mrs. Parrish" series, you will absolutely enjoy this.

As is Liv Constantine's style, Don't Open Your Eyes follows multiple POVs that all come together - Annabelle, mother to Scarlett and Olivia, Scarlett a high school teen, and a mysterious "Wife." Don't Open your Eyes gives you just the right amount of clues to keep you guessing and trying to fit all the puzzle pieces together, but still offers surprises you never saw coming. Several times I had a hard time putting the book down wanting to read just one more chapter. The un-putdown ability is my litmus test of a great book.

Annabelle has a perfect life until she begins having terrifying dreams that start to come true.

I love stories like this where there are a few separate things going on and you’re not sure how they all align until the pieces start to fall together. All is definitely not as expected, as you find out at the end when it all comes together. This is an entertaining read that will keep your interest.

“Hate is like drinking poison and hoping the other person dies.”

Don’t Open Your Eyes comes out 6/17.

Thank you to NetGalley, Random House and Liv Constantine for once again giving me a thriller that I just couldn't put down!

Don't Open Your Eyes had me not wanting to close mine! I just kept wanting to read more and find out more. It's one of the best dual timelines I've ever read, very smooth transitions from one to the other, and of course the twists are phenomenal.

The characters - well, you have Randy who is basically a sleezeball, James is the great friend, Annabelle has the weird dreams which I think it may have even lead me to having a few weird dreams of my own, and there is Scarlett who is playing with fire with Ben, this relationship kind of had me shaking me head but oh my it does not turn out the way I thought it would.

I won't tell you a recap because you have to read this for yourself but I will tell you that there is meaning behind Annabelle's dreams, James loves Annabelle and their daughter Scarlett even though Scarlett is keeping a secret from them that leads to quite the world of chaos.

You can get a copy on June 17 so do open your eyes and read it because you won't want to close them until you've finished it.

I'm a big fan of Liv Constantine, and this one didn’t disappoint. I flew through it in just two days, and honestly, if I had cleared my schedule, I could have devoured it in one sitting. It’s that bingeable.

Told in multiple POVs and dual timelines, the structure works perfectly for the layered mystery at the heart of the story. The premise is instantly intriguing and kept me hooked all the way through. Secrets, lies, and buried truths unravel in a way that’s both satisfying and scandalous.

Some parts were a little predictable, but honestly, I didn’t mind. The drama was so juicy it had me clutching my pearls. The kind of tea that makes you pause mid-page just to take it all in.

The characters were layered and messy in all the best ways, and the clues were sprinkled throughout like a suspense buffet. Every reveal felt like going back for seconds—just when you thought you’d had enough, something new and satisfying showed up on the plate.

If you like your thrillers with strong pacing, juicy secrets, and a side of emotional tension, add this one to your TBR. It’s a solid summer suspense pick. 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

3.5 stars; the premise and story was interesting, and it definitely kept me engaged, but I felt the twists were pretty predictable. Overall though it was a fun read and I would recommend it!

Annabelle Reynolds, a successful social media PR manager, enjoys a happy life with her husband James and their two daughters. However, everything starts to spin out of control when she begins to have disturbing dreams that start coming true. James, a neurologist, dismisses them, but Annabelle is in a state of panic and starts changing her routine and upcoming plans, in fear of these horrific dreams, especially one where her daughter Scarlett appears to be in great danger. And what does the dream involving Annabelle's encounter with a handsome stranger signify? Is her marriage not as solid as she thinks it is? Annabelle's life unravels as shocking family secrets come to light.

Don't Open Your Eyes is another enjoyable psychological thriller by Liv Constantine, the pseudonym for the writing team of sisters Lynne and Valerie Constantine. Get ready for the tension and suspense of this twisty, addictive book. Is the plot over the top? Absolutely, but that didn't bother me one bit. It was entertaining and kept me guessing.

Nightmares are manifestations of our worst fears. For me, it's being locked in a box by the Evil Stepmother from Snow White. For Annabelle, her nightmares are something else. They are premonitions....or a view of an alternate reality.

In real life, Annabelle is living a dream life. Her husband is a doctor and she has a successful career in media marketing. They have two daughters. So, the nightmares....it's similar to her actual life, except her mild-mannered husband is now volatile and her children (and her) are in danger. Everything seems so real....doesn't it?

Told in multiple POVs, Don't Open Your Eyes is a book you read all in one sitting, overnight, sitting up, turning page after page. It's THAT GOOD.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.

LC is one of my favorite authors, so this book was an automatic read for me. When I began I was surprised at the structure of this one because it was a bit different than what I am used to in an LC book. With wild dreams that are coming true and a future that the main character isn’t ready to face, Don’t Open Your Eyes kept me on the edge of my seat.

Annabelle’s husband thinks she’s lost her mind, her career is on the line. Her teenage daughter is texting with a stranger from the internet (ps. my kids are never getting cell phones now thanks LC for this ICK reminder), and her past is coming up in the most frustrating ways. There were lies, secrets, hit and runs, nightmares and a truth bomb that shook up the whole story.

You don’t wanna miss this one! Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC.

Annabelle starts having strange, vivid dreams that begin to come true. What are the chances she dreams about a tragic plane crash—before it actually happens? As her visions grow more intense and unsettling, she begins seeing her own family in danger. Desperate to stop them from becoming reality, Annabelle races to figure out what she can control… and what she can’t.

I really wanted to love this book, but it fell short of my expectations. I’ve enjoyed other books by Liv Constantine and love how twisty and mind-bending they usually are, but this one didn’t deliver that same punch. The premise—predicting the future through dreams—is definitely intriguing and had a lot of potential, but it started to feel repetitive. I kept waiting for the suspense to build, and while there was a twist at the end, it just didn’t hit the way I’d hoped.

That said, it was a quick, easy read and would make a solid summer beach read if you're looking for something with light mystery and a hint of suspense. I’ll still pick up anything this author duo writes, but Don’t Open Your Eyes just wasn’t one of my favorites.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I really loved the premise of this book. A woman’s dreams become reality. I was able to imagine the stress and anxiety someone would have experienced, especially being gaslit. While overall I really enjoyed it, the last 25% felt super rushed for me, trying to tie up all the loose ends.
