This was a wild ride! I kept thinking I had it figured out when another shock would come along. The dream part was a little offbeat for me but in the end I accepted it. Highly recommend this one if you like to keep guessing.

Another great thriller by Liv Constantine. How well do you know the people you are closest to? For Annabelle, maybe not as well as she thought. She seems to have an amazing life with the perfect and supportive doctor husband and 2 daughters. But she’s having disturbing dreams that start coming true. Why is this happening? And can she stop the dreams from coming true? If you think you have it figured out, you don’t! And that ending…just wow!

In another great thriller by Liv Constantine, Annabelle appears to have the perfect life—a loving doctor husband and two daughters—but everything changes when her disturbing dreams start becoming reality. As she questions the people closest to her, secrets unravel, and nothing is as it seems. Liv Constantine delivers another gripping psychological thriller in Don't Open Your Eyes, a novel that masterfully blends suspense, emotion, and just a touch of the supernatural. With her trademark flair for building tension and her talent for exploring the complexities of human relationships, Constantine gives readers a chilling and emotional ride they won't soon forget.

At the center of the story is Annabelle Reynolds, a woman who seems to have it all — a loving husband, two wonderful daughters, and a fulfilling career. But that picture-perfect life begins to unravel when Annabelle starts having vivid, terrifying dreams about a future she doesn’t recognize — one where her marriage is broken, her daughters are in danger, and her entire world is on the brink of collapse.

The concept of dreams as premonitions isn’t new, but Constantine makes it feel fresh and urgent here. As details from Annabelle’s dreams begin to manifest in real life, the line between reality and vision starts to blur in truly unsettling ways. The tension builds as Annabelle races to figure out what choice — what single moment — might tip her life from safety into tragedy.

The multiple POVs and timelines are one of the novel’s greatest strengths. Each perspective adds depth, intrigue, and a greater sense of foreboding. Rather than feeling disjointed, these shifts enrich the narrative and kept me fully engaged from beginning to end. I especially loved how each viewpoint added new layers to the mystery, making me question everything — and everyone.

What makes this book particularly compelling is its emotional weight. Annabelle’s fear for her daughter Scarlett is palpable, and her desperation to protect her family gives the suspense real emotional stakes. The maternal instinct here is raw and powerful, grounding the more surreal elements of the plot in something deeply human.

This was one of those rare thrillers that hooked me from the first page. I could have devoured it in a single sitting — the pacing is that sharp — but I found myself intentionally drawing it out over a week just to savor the suspense. That’s the mark of a great read.

My only slight critique (and the reason for the half-star drop) is that a few plot threads wrapped up a bit too neatly in the final chapters. I would have liked a bit more ambiguity or complexity in the ending to match the intensity of the build-up. But even so, it was deeply satisfying.

Having now read four of Liv Constantine’s books, I can confidently say she’s become a must-read author for me. If Don't Open Your Eyes is any indication of what’s in store in her backlist, I can’t wait to dive into the rest.

Wow! Can you tell the future? How does this happen? Moreover, how would you handle it? Lots to love in this story with the manufactured drama and intense character connections. But ultimately, there's a fine line to reality and magic. A good family drama, I found myself wondering how much fate plays a role in our lives. Solid writing. Charming background and setting. Love Constantine books!

Thank you to netgalley for this arc. I am so grateful I got to read this book before the publishing date! Wow what a book! Annabelle’s dreams keep coming to fruition. These dreams are haunting her and she begins to do everything she can to keep her dreams from coming true! Annabelle dreams her daughter Scarlett is in immediate danger. Scarlett has been talking to a mysterious guy named Ben online. There were so many twists and turns. I couldn’t put this thriller down! I highly recommend if you are into fast-paced thrillers!

When I first picked this book up, I knew that I was going to like it. It was a quick read that switched from different points of view and alternated between past and present. Until around 70 percent of the way through the book, I really had no idea where the story was going (in the best way possible). Unfortunately, that's where it kind of fell off the rails for me. The ending was super bizarre and I can't say that I enjoyed it. I ended up knocking the rating down two stars just because of the chaotic ending.

3.5 stars. I loved the short chapters and multiple points of view. It made the story more intense and for a while I wasn’t quite sure where it was all going but towards the middle it became slightly predictable. There was a good hook at the end though. Quick, fun read. Much different vibe to The Last Mrs Parish despite it being a domestic thriller.

Liv Constantine, author of the electrifying Mrs. Parrish series, once again delivers a gripping psychological thriller that immediately pulls the reader into a world of suspense and secrets. Don’t Open Your Eyes follows Annabelle, a woman plagued by haunting dreams that feel less like nightmares and more like chilling glimpses into the future.

The novel masterfully alternates between Annabelle’s college years and her present life, creating a dual timeline that builds tension and deepens the mystery. As the story unfolds, Annabelle becomes increasingly fearful for her family’s safety, and the reader is taken on a rollercoaster of twists and turns that never let up.

I was completely hooked. Liv Constantine is an auto-read for me, and Don’t Open Your Eyes may just be my new favorite. If you love unpredictable plots, complex characters, and suspense that keeps you guessing, this is one not to miss.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group – Ballantine for the advanced reading copy in exchange for an honest review.

⚠️TW: If you have ANY triggers around pregnancy, infertility, miscarriage, loss of a child, traumatic birth, etc. I would strongly advise that you steer clear of this book. Just lookin out!⚠️

Annabelle has always had vivid dreams that she remembers, there’s nothing odd about that. It starts to get weird though, when she starts having dreams about things that happen in real life at some point afterward.
Her first dream is something that truly alarms her. It involves her husband doing something that he would NEVER do. As these dreams keep occurring, they get scarier and Annabelle starts to fear for her family’s safety, and question her own morals and motives.
Are Annabelle’s dreams just pure coincidence, or is it something more mysterious at work?

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It gripped me from the very beginning, and I simply couldn’t put it down.
I was surprisingly able to guess quite a few of the large plot twists early on (I’m never able to get them right)! But enjoying one of the biggest ones, definitely left my jaw on the floor. Being able to figure it out didn’t deter me from still really liking this story! I think it’s one of my top Liv Constantine books now. Strongly recommend it if you enjoy her other work, and don’t suffer from any triggers I’ve listed above.

3.5 rounded to 4!
This one started great, then I felt it was repetitive, and about 70% through it got really good. I didn’t see any of the twists, but I also felt like it was a little rushed towards the end. Overall, a good quick thriller, with multiple POVs!

This is a weird (to me) premise, and I was not too sure about reading it, but I trust these authors, yes, it is two sisters, and I gave it a chance. While it is certainly out of my normal box, I definitely enjoyed it. Annabelle is living her best life when she begins having alarming dreams detailing bad things happening to her husband and daughters. When certain things from the dreams start coming true, Annabelle becomes more concerned and afraid that they are premonitions. She becomes more and more paranoid and thus begins a tale full of twists and suspense. The story is told from multiple POV's and dual timelines centering on present-day Annabelle and Annabelle in her childhood. It did take a minute to get into the flow, but once I did, I was hooked. Many thanks to Liv Constantine for once again not disappointing me! Can't wait to see what's next!

Thank you to #NetGalley, Liv Constantine and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Bantam for this ARC. All opinions are my own.

I will post my review to Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Instagram and other retail and social media sites upon publication day of June 17th.

Annabelle is a social media marketing specialist with a seemingly perfect life. She has a devoted doctor husband and two wonderful daughters. Then, Annabelle starts having dreams that feel like premonitions, and even worse, some of them are coming true. These dreams force Annabelle to question everything about her life, especially her marriage and some secrets from her past. These dreams warn Annabelle that her husband is hiding something and her oldest, Scarlett, may be in danger. Annabelle wrestles with how much control she has over the future and whether or not she can change it.

Liv Constantine is an auto-read for me, so when I saw they had a new book out, I jumped at the chance to read and review it. I love how this was told from multiple points of view and timelines. I loved the premise of this one, and the character development was superb. I loved reading about Annabelle’s dreams and her actions to try to stop them. My only complaint is that the beginning was a bit slow, but the book picked up in pace midway through. Overall, I give this one 4/5 stars. I highly recommend it to thriller fans, especially those that enjoy Liv Constantine!

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this captivating eARC.

Liv Constantine is the pen name of sisters Lynne Constantine and Valerie Constantine. For the purpose of this review, I will use the author name on the books they write, rather than list both names individually.

Before I begin my review, I wanted to note how COOL it is that two sisters write books together! I always wanted to do the same with one of my sisters but as we live in different states we never managed... Note: I love the Mrs. Parrish series by these authors!

On to my review.

Liv Constantine’s "Don't Open Your Eyes" plunges readers into a world where perception is fragile, trust is elusive, and the past refuses to remain buried. This gripping psychological thriller unspools a narrative that is unsettling yet hypnotic, expertly playing with the reader’s sense of reality.

This novel thrives on the tension between what is seen and what lurks beneath the surface. Constantine crafts an atmosphere of unease that builds steadily with every chapter. The protagonist’s descent into paranoia feels visceral, making the reader question the reliability of every revelation. The novel’s pacing is taut, delivering twists that feel inevitable and shocking in their execution.

Constantine weaves complex relationships into the suspense, ensuring that no character exists solely for the plot. Each interaction feels charged with hidden motives, creating a multidimensional experience where even the most fleeting conversation carries weight. The psychological intricacies elevate the novel from a conventional thriller to a sophisticated exploration of manipulation and identity.

While the story delivers a fair share of shocking moments, its true brilliance lies in the nuanced layers beneath the surface. Constantine understands that fear is most potent when it is rooted in the ordinary, transforming familiar spaces into places of danger and uncertainty. The writing is crisp, immersive, and charged with an undercurrent of dread, ensuring that the reader remains ensnared until the final revelation.

In "Don't Open Your Eyes" , Constantine proves yet again that psychological suspense is at its most gripping when built on the fault lines of human emotion.

Liv Constantine always delivers doesn’t she! The twist Queen really got me with this one. I was certain I had this one figured out and then bam 💥 Gosh it was good, and much better than my theory 😂

I read this in an afternoon, really enjoying the dual timelines and learning more about Annabelle, the woman with the seemingly perfect life.married to a doctor, a beautiful house and 2 daughters, as well as a job she loved. It is a fast paced and entertaining thriller that will keep you turning the pages. The dreams coming to life was freaky, I would not want my weird dreams coming true.

Thriller readers you know this author is amazing and you just have to read it.

Thanks to Random House Publishing Ballantine, Bantam for my early copy to read on NetGalley. Publishes on June 17th.

Summary:
Annabelle is living her ideal life with her husband and two daughters when she begins to have vivid, disturbing dreams that become premonitions for what is about to happen. Her daughter has started a secret online relationship and Annabelle is terrified that her daughter will be targeted and has to face her dreams head on in order to save her family.

My Thoughts:
A super quick, entertaining thriller! This book was a steady-paced thriller that kept me interested from the beginning! I wasn’t sure about the dreams coming to real life aspect (I’m not a huge fan of the supernatural in my reading), but it was well done in this story! The last part of the book puts the pacing in high gear and the twists just keep coming! Were they a bit predictable? Yes, but it was still a fun and engaging thriller! I am a longtime fan of this writing duo and will definitely continue to read upcoming books!
