Psychic dreams, buried grief, & twisted truths
Don’t Open Your Eyes was an absolute thrill ride from start to finish! Fast-paced and full of suspense, it had me hooked with every twist and turn—I literally couldn’t put it down except to sleep! The ending did wrap up a bit quickly, but the darker turn it took made it all the more gripping. Nonetheless, DOYE is a true page-turner that kept me on the edge of my seat and was the perfect read to kick off Summerween 🎃🌊🎙️🍂🚲
Thank you, Random House Publishing Group and Netgally, for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley and Liv Constantine for the opportunity to read this ARC. 4 out of 5 stars just because although it was pretty good and did get me on a few of the twists, I just don’t think it compares to some of Liv’s 5 star reads. The beginning and middle were a little slower but the end of it picked up and did have a few unexpected twists.

3.75 stars rounded up to 4
Thank you, NetGalley and Random House/Ballentine for the opportunity to review this ARC
This was such a fun, bingeable read! I read it in less than 36 hours over Memorial Day weekend as I simply could not put it down and had to find out how it ended! I was hooked from the first chapter.
Annabelle, a mom of 2 and wife of a brilliant Neurologist, has the life she's always wanted. But she has been having dreams that appear to be premonitions of the future. It makes her question her daily life as she works to prevent her dreams from happening in real life. In the meantime, her daughter Scarlett, has been chatting with a boy named Ben online and has plans to meet him in person (smart, right?)
This book is told in multiple POVs, switching between Annabelle (then and now) and her daughter Scarlett. There is also a mysterious "wife" that really comes in to play in the last quarter of the book.
It was a super enjoyable, fast-paced, and entertaining read. The twist at the end wasn't necessarily my favorite, but it did tie up a majority of the open-ended questions that were presented throughout the book.

This book is a fast read that grabs your attention from the start. Annabel is plagued by terrible dreams that center on her family. Then the dreams start to come true. Much of the tension in this story comes from the unreliable narrator (Annabel) and the heightened disbelief of those around her. It is hard to know what to believe and that is an intriguing storyline. I enjoyed the twists that arise and the overall thriller aspect, although some of the dream parts felt a little hard to follow. I think you will see this one all over the place this summer. Thanks to Liv Constantine, NetGalley, and Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I have mixed opinions on this one. It was... fine, I guess? It was a super interesting premise that doesn't ever get resolved in a satisfactory way for me. I felt like there were soooo many loose ends that still need to be tied up. I couldn't stand the main character Annabelle, and she didn't seem like a real person to me at all. Without giving anything away, I will say that I thought there was more opportunity for Randy in the story.
I am hesitant in recommending this to others, but would probably lean towards no.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine for the ARC!

I really enjoyed this book and the storyline. I loved the character of Annabelle and her struggles to balance work and motherhood. Annabelle is also having dreams of things that end up happening in real life. No one believes her, but she ends up alerting some events to keep people safe because of her dreams. Having a POV from a teenager was also different than most thrillers. I think there was a very believable banter between a teenage girl and her mother/parents. This book held my interest and had some twists that I did not see coming. I found it to be a quick, easy read. I loved this author's other books and this one is no exception. Highly recommend. Five stars for me.

Ooooo this was gooood!
I hate to say it but I didn’t love Liv Constantine’s last few books as much as I loved their earlier ones but this book won me back.
Between the brutal, horrifying dreams that seem to come true, the flash backs, unknown wife POV - this was just done so well.
This was fun, twisty, intense - and hit the way you want a popcorn thriller to hit.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC!

This was one of the twistiest thrillers I’ve read all year! Liv Constantine is a must read author for me. I went into this book blind and I’ll admit I was a little nervous with the psychic dreams. Paranormal type things aren’t really for me usually. The writing had me hooked though and this turned into one of my favorite reads. The betrayal, the lies, the deceit, the emotions. I was completely immersed in this story. An absolute must read.

I've been a big fan of this author duo since reading The Last Mrs. Parrish several years ago. I was super excited to start reading Don't Open Your Eyes and it did not disappoint. Once I started reading, I could not stop!
Anabelle is an interesting protagonist. She has a seemingly amazing life with a great career, a loving doctor husband and two wonderful daughters. What else could anyone ask for?!! So, when she starts having dreams about arguing with her husband and her daughters' lives being in jeopardy, she has trouble making sense of them until they start coming true and she realizes that they are actually premonitions and not just nightmares.
The story is told from multiple perspectives (namely Anabelle, her daughter Scarlett and someone referred to as "The Wife:") and dual timelines which can sometimes be difficult to follow. However, in this case, it was so well done and really helped build tension. and suspense. This was definitely the best psychological thriller that I've read so far this year!
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballentine for my advanced reader copy.

Thank you to NetGalley and Ballantine Books for the gifted e-arc of this book.
I'm kinda on the line with this one. I'm going to go with a 3.5 ⭐️ I found myself ebbing in and out of interest. In some moments I thought about DNFing and then I'd power through and be enjoying it.

Annabelle has a secret from her younger years that she thought she could keep from her two daughters. She has a loving, but sometimes overbearing husband. A great job that she loves. From the outside it looks like Annabelle has a perfect life. Inside her mind is a mess. She missed her mother dearly, she yearns for someone in the past, and she thinks she’s seeing into the future.
The book had some really good twists in the plot. Some of the twists gave clues to the mystery of the story. Others you won’t figure out until the end. Overall the book was super enjoyable.
I gave the book 3 stars because the author included dream premonition. While it made the story interesting it was vaguely mentioned once as to why Annabelle was having the dreams. It felt out of place with no explanation. It made the book feel like the author wanted something supernatural in the book, but did not follow through.

This was really great, super twisty, interesting characters. I loved the twists and turns! Most importantly, I can say I am glad I didn't give up on Liv Constantine, even though I really didn't enjoy her last couple of books.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

Liv Constantine does it again, an excellent following after the Parrish books.
The story flips between today, where Annabelle is married to James and they have two children together, Scarlett and Olivia. Annabelle coaches high end clients to efficiently run their social media and James is a neurologist.
Shortly following college, Annabelle had a baby boy with a professor she was seeing at the time. Unfortunately, the baby died, quickly following birth, due to a sudden onset of preeclampsia. Annabelle leaned on James for support and eventually, they got married and had children of their own.
Back to present day, Annabelle is having weird dreams that sometimes “predict” an event that is going to happen. James doesn’t believe her and suggests she take time off of work to seek intense therapy. This continues, and the divide between the two of them deepens.
It all comes to a head when an event that Annabelle had predicted, an injury to the older daughter, Scarlett, comes to light. Annabelle is overtaken with guilt and dismay as to the circumstances that have come together that caused Scarlett to get hurt.
Constantine manages to weave a thrilling story that has twists all the way to the end. Highly recommend!

If Liv Constantine writes it, i am going to read it. This edge of your seat psychological thriller will have you gasping out loud at parts you have never seen coming. Holy sh*t came out of my mouth more than once when reading this unputdownable book. For lovers of thrillers, this one won’t disappoint!

Love this author so was so excited to read this one. I loved the concept, but was a little “meh” about the catfishing aspect.
So grateful for the gifted copy of this one!

The start of this book was absolutely gripping. From the first page, it pulled me in so much that I couldn’t stop reading until I finished it all in one go. It had this magnetic quality that kept me hooked, and I really enjoyed the way the story unfolded at the beginning.
But as the story progressed, especially with the twist involving the main character, my heart started to hurt. The twist was so dark and complicated that it left me confused and a bit shaken. It was hard to fully understand what the character was thinking or why they acted the way they did. While the writing was impressive and the story was clearly well done, the emotional heaviness of the twist felt overwhelming at times.
Overall, the book is very well crafted and worth reading, but personally, a slightly less twisted turn in the plot would have made the experience more enjoyable.

Super quick and enjoyable thriller with engaging POV shifts and enough breadcrumbs to unravel the mystery but still have a mostly satisfying ending.

Don’t Open Your Eyes by Liv Constantine completely pulled me in. This is one of those thrillers I literally couldn’t put down—I read it in one sitting.
The story follows Annabel, who begins having disturbing dreams... and then some of them start coming true. Her family thinks she’s losing her mind, but Annabel starts to wonder if something much more sinister is going on.
As she tries to manage her life as a wife and mother, the line between dreams and reality starts to blur—and a dark, twisted plan begins to unfold. I was hooked by every twist, and the tension had me questioning everything right alongside Annabel.
Fast-paced, eerie, and full of suspense, this is a psychological thriller that’s both compelling and unsettling in the best way. Highly recommend to fans of twisty, one-sitting reads.

Loved this book !! Just when I thought I knew.. I didn’t!! Binged it in one day … loved it, definitely will buy . Thank you for the privilege of getting an arc to read early

I really liked this! LC is one of my favorite author pairs. I gave it a 3.5 rating overall. Short and quick easy chapters that kept you guessing until the very end.
