I was hooked from the start and then it started getting chaotic and I had to sit on my review for a day.
I love Liv Constantine books, so I was excited to read this book because the premise sounded entertaining and it could have been but the ending felt rushed and just thrown together to try to make sense of the situation.
Annabelle is married to a neurologist named James and she has two beautiful daughters. She has a great job and she’s happier than ever. Out of no where she keeps having disturbing dreams that keep
Coming true, so Annabelle tries to prevent them from happening but her family doesn’t believe her.
She’s starting to spiral out of control but she’s trying to save her family from getting hurt.
Thanks Netgalley and publisher for a chance to read this book for free for my honest opinion before it’s published on 6/17/25

Liv Constantine delivers in this domestic thriller. Annabelle begins suffering from strange and terrible nightmares. They have aspects of her life that she cannot imagine happening... except some of them do. She must figure out what her dreams mean and fast in order to protect her family. This novel was hard to put down. I enjoyed the mystery and alternating time frames. I thought I had it all figured out, but I was wrong. I love that in a book! I would recommend this to anyone who likes domestic thrillers.

Not gonna lie, I'm still puzzled by the title of the novel even after reading it.
This was a quick domestic thriller with an interesting premise. I love when stories weave in dreams, but in this case, the writing didn't quite unleash the chilling intensity of the nightmarish visions Annabelle experienced. These characters felt generic and insufficiently developed; this made it hard to connect with them even at the story's emotional height. I still found myself wanting to keep reading it after putting it down, so I consider that an entertaining read.

I really enjoyed this book! It had me hooked from the start. I really liked the premise of her dreams coming true because that’s something I’ve always enjoyed. It did seem a little far fetched in some areas but I really enjoyed the ending!

Good book! Keep me wanting to keep reading! My second by this author and i will read more !! Highly recommend this author !!

⇥ Despite not typically enjoying “dream-related” thrillers, this one managed to hook me early on. The premise and opening chapters were intriguing and drew me in right away.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐝:
⇥ The dual timelines didn’t work for me. The past chapters felt like filler and ultimately added nothing to the story—plus, they left a major plot hole unresolved.
⇥ I don’t know why it bugged me, but the authors used three versions of “you’re going to pay for this” and it just felt soooo elementary school writing. The FMC was written so unlikeable and annoying, just very amateur and unrealistic.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠:
★★★.5
This wasn’t groundbreaking in any way, shape, or form. I didn’t love any of the characters—especially the FMC—and I found the multiple plot threads (the dream-related plot, the past timeline, an unknown POV, and the present-day drama) didn’t mesh well. There just weren’t enough thrills to make up for the sluggish middle chapters.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That said, I might be in the minority here, and maybe this one will work better for you. I absolutely loved The Senator’s Wife, so I’d recommend picking that up instead. But as always, if this book is on your radar, give it a shot and see for yourself!

Thank you @netgalley and @randomhouse for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a great book! I think it was so good at making you question reality (or the reality of the main character). It was eerie, and had the perfect vibes of a psychological thriller. I think it was very well written, and it definitely kept me on my toes!!!!
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complimentary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!

If dreams come true….
From the outside, Annabelle seems to have it all. A loving husband, 2 amazing daughters and a career she loves. So why is she having constant, nightmarish dreams?
Let’s talk for a minute about those nightmares. Here’s the thing... they may actually be short snippets of her future. As she continues having them...they come true. And these dreams aren’t happy, joyful moments. They are frightening glimpses into her future and Annabelle isn’t sure she can stop them from coming true.
Meanwhile, with Annabelle’s focus wavering for just a moment, her daughter Scarlett has met someone on- line. Uh-oh. Is this an innocent friendship? (Are they ever)?
Told from multiple points of view and timelines, all adding to the building tension. Will Annabelle be able to take control of her future? Can you change your fate?
I devoured this book in just a couple sittings. Filled with plenty of characters sure to infuriate you - some more than others!😅
This was another fabulous, gripping thriller from an amazing sister duo, penned under the name Liv Constantine. Already looking forward to their next!

Liv Constantine is the QUEEN of domestic thrillers and I will always be first in line to read them whenever she drops a new one!!
In “Don’t Open Your Eyes” we follow Annabelle as she tries to unravel the meaning behind her recent onset of extremely vivid nightmares that seem to be more of a premonition of what’s to come. The twists and turns in this books are so shocking and unpredictable that it kept me wanting more, I absolutely devoured this book.

Liv Constantine always delivers a solid psychological thriller and this was no exception! I read this in one day because I had to know what happened. While I’m not 100% sold on the “conclusion” of one aspect of the plot** (scroll down if you want to see a spoiler) throughout the book, the rest was super satisfying and twisty and great.

*her dreams.

Constantine weaves a masterful web of deceit, betrayal, and lies. There's a lot of moving parts to the story which comes together nicely at the end and all makes sense. The complexity of the plot makes it impossible to guess the twists and turns that are coming. Another unputdownable thriller!

Another thriller by Liv Constantine that was impossible to put down! Don't Open Your Eyes follows Annabelle, a married mom of two, as she tries to unravel the meaning behind a sudden onset of bad dreams that keep coming true. This novel had plenty of plot twists that kept me guessing along the way. Loved this book!

I LOVED this book and I’m so happy that I was able to read it early. I had such a great time reading it and I love the way that she put all of the pieces together at the end to wrap it up.

This book was a fast-paced, enjoyable read. There are a few different POVs that give the reader a good insight but also keep you guessing. I flew through this one (no pun intended, I did read it on a flight).
Nothing ground breaking but definitely worth the read!
Thank you NetGalley for the arc!

I am. a huge fan of this author. I have read every book written by them. This was another great book. So different from all the other psychological thrillers I've read lately. I feel like the other often use the same plot line but this was new! I like how it flipped between past and present. I also liked how one of the characters had chapters titled "Wife" but you didn't know who it was until near the end of the story. Once I picked it up I couldn't put it down. I had to keep reading to find out what happened!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. I flew through this book and it kept my interest the whole time. I really liked it alot, but my one "complaint" is that the ending started to go off the rails a bit for me. I recommend reading the book though, you'll read it very fast!

This is fantastic! I love me a twisty thriller, so this is right up my alley.
Annabelle is the wife of a wealthy neurosurgeon, has two beautiful daughters, a great job, and a lovely home, but when she starts having strange nightmares, her life starts spiraling out of control. As it turns out, these nightmares are a harbinger of what’s to come.
The writing is superb, the plot is implausible but fun, and the ending is crazy - a trifecta of perfection. Thank you, NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for the eARC.

This was a true thriller in typical Liv Constantine fashion. The twists and turns just kept coming. I always enjoy her/their books and this one was no different. Enjoyable read that kept me guessing.

Don’t open your eyes is a slow burn thriller that combines 2 timelines and multiple POVs to keep the reader turning pages. Although this could have potential to be confusing, Liv Constantine makes it work. The story is told through the eyes of Annabelle, her daughter Scarlett, and “the wife,” an unknown person.
Annabelle is a wife and mother that has started having bad dreams. Or are they premonitions? Scarlett is a typical teen that has a secret online friend. The wife is up to something, but who is she? Although a slow burn, there were enough events happening that the story kept my interest. Some events were outside the realm of possibility, so as a reader, you have to suspend belief just a little. I would have liked a little more emotional depth to the characters, so I connected with them a little more rather than just reading their story. Overall, I enjoyed the story. I would rate it a 3.5 and round up.

3.5 stars rounded up
I really enjoy this author - she writes thrillers that have a lot going on between all the twists but somehow manages to make it not feel like *too* much. While not my favorite of hers, a very enjoyable read that I absolutely flew through.
