Really enjoyed this one. Kept me flipping pages during a very busy time. I didn’t expect the twists so that was fun.

I’ve been obsessed with Liv Constantine ever since The Last Mrs. Parrish, and Don’t Open Your Eyes didn’t disappoint! I’ve read every book she’s written since, and this one has all the psych thriller stuff I love—twists, secrets, and characters who aren’t who they seem to be.

Told through multiple narrators and timelines, this story keeps you guessing throughout the book. And the last 10%:WOW, what a twist and reveal. There’s a touch of psychic dreams woven in, which you kind of have to suspend your sense disbelief for slightly but it works nice with the plot and fills some holes.

The family drama and pacing is perfect for a beach day book binge.

Annabelle's life is everything she dreamed of, until her dreams turn dark. She starts having nightmares that come true. Her neurologist husband doesn't believe that her dreams can really predict the future, but Annabelle knows that he's wrong. She's putting her family, her job, and her life in jeopardy to figure out what's going on.

This twisty story kept me going until the very end. I did not see all of that coming. I could not put this book down. A great fast paced thriller to get you out of a reading slump!

3.5 star rounded up. Thank you #netgalley and Random house publishing:Ballantine/bantam for the arc.

Solid thriller. I found some of the twists predictable but the end saved it for me as one last twist I didn’t see coming. I read this one super fast which to me is always a good sign for a thriller. I’d definitely recommend.

3 stars!

I'm sad because I really liked The Last Mrs. Parrish, but this book really did not land for me. Although it was very easy read, and I read it in practically one sitting, I don't think it brought anything new to the thriller genre. Even though I didn't know the "why," it was fairly easy to guess the "who," and the whole ending felt like a villain twirling his mustache, which I don't enjoy. That being said, I think this would be good for people new to the thriller genre.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I love a good Liv Constantine novel. But something I have noticed is cheesy dialogue and a somewhat amateur-like telling of the story. But the story itself is so interesting it keeps me around. And that's why Liv Constantine books will continue to be auto reads for me.

As for this novel about a woman who has disturbing dreams and then they start coming true was so fun. I couldn't wait to see what happened next. And just went I thought I figured it out, I was wrong.

Liv Constantine does it again! I already knew she was a genius, but this just put the cherry on top for me. While I have to admit the book started off a bit slower paced than I usually like, about half way through, I could NOT put it down. I could not turn the pages fast enough. The emotional rollercoaster this book had me on at the end, has stayed with me since finishing it! I could not have anticipated that ending!

Thank you NetGalley, author, and publisher for the eArc.

𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙢𝙮 𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧!

SUMMARY: Annabelle Reynolds seemingly has the perfect life until she begins experiencing disturbing dreams that reveal a dark future where she despises her husband and her daughter’s life is at risk. Initially dismissing them as nightmares, she soon realizes her dreams are actually premonitions as real (and terrifying) details start to unfold. When one dream warns her of imminent danger to her daughter, Scarlett, Annabelle is forced to make choices that could alter their fates, confronting her control over destiny and the possibility of changing her future.

MY THOUGHTS: WOW!! I literally could not put this intense domestic thriller down! The story unfolds primarily through Annabelle’s perspective, though Scarlett and another character also provide their viewpoints. The tension builds steadily, and I could totally relate to Annabelle’s fears for her family’s safety. The conclusion was truly shocking (though I can’t say I entirely liked how things worked out)! However, as I have come to expect from Liv Constantine, the characters are complex, and the plot is beautifully orchestrated. This book is a perfect summer thriller!

I also enjoyed the audio version, and the three narrators did a beautiful job portraying the characters, tension, and drama. Whether you choose to read or listen to this one, thriller lovers will not want to miss it!

Don’t Open Your Eyes by Liv Constantine blew me away. If I could give it more than five stars, I would. This is a psychological thriller at its finest, packed with twists, tension, and just a sprinkle of the supernatural to keep you constantly second-guessing what’s real.

The FMC is plagued by nightmares… ones that start coming true. At first, she thinks it might just be stress or coincidence, but as the dreams get darker and more accurate, the fear builds. Her desperation to protect her family is clear, and I was hooked from the very first chapter.

Told through three POVs, the story never lets up. The shifting perspectives only add to the suspense, making it harder to figure out who’s trustworthy and what’s really going on. The flashbacks are woven in seamlessly, offering just enough backstory without slowing the pace. And every time I thought I had the twist figured out, surprise! I was wrong. Again.

This one had me flipping pages as quickly as possible. There’s a little bit of spice, but the real heat comes from the emotional tension and suspense. If you love thrillers that mess with your mind and keep you guessing until the very last page, this one is a must-read.

When I see that a new book by Liv Constantine is out, I immediately gravitate towards it. And this book did not disappoint. Filled with intrigue and suspense, it was a fast read. I was dying to find out what happened next!
Told in a series of flashbacks, the story revolves around Annabelle, a woman who has way too many problems. First, she is married to her second choice, James, after her college professor boyfriend, Randy, breaks up with her. Second, she is pregnant with Randy’s child, and although Randy acts excited about the birth, it is not enough for Annabelle to win him back. Third, the characters that she encounters are not what they seem at all.
The book is divided into “before” and “after” sections, and in the before section, we learn about how Annabelle meets Randy and his roommate, James, whom she ultimately marries. She is a college student, and Randy is one of her instructors. While in college, she lives in a small apartment and cares for her ill mother. Annabelle’s dad deserted his family when Annabelle was a little girl, and her mom had to work long hours to make ends meet.
In the “now” section, Annabelle seems happy living with her husband James and their two girls, Scarlett and Olivia, in a beautiful home in an upscale part of CT. She has a job working for a social media company, which she loves, and James is a doctor. However, deceit, subterfuge, and dysfunction abound underneath the seemingly perfect family. Enter Chase, Tara, and Lucas Sommers, a family who add their dysfunction to the mix.
Readers who like thrillers, with lots of twists and turns, will love this book. It is a keeper!

I can always count on Liv Constantine to deliver a fast-paced psychological thriller. Don’t Open Your Eyes didn't disappoint, weaving together multiple storylines and a mysterious, unnamed narrator whose identity is revealed in time.

However, the dreams-as-premonitions trope didn’t quite work for me. It felt out of place given Constantine’s usual style of grounded, realistic plotlines. Don't Open Your Eyes is not my favorite from her catalog, but it’s still a solid, compelling read that I think fans and new readers alike will enjoy.

Dreams are your body's way of making sense of the world, and sometimes you pick up signals that your conscious mind might not notice but it comes through in your dreams. So, to me this sounded pretty plausible and with the short chapters and the weaving of past and present and dreams, it had me eagerly reading to see if Annabelle can unravel all the secrets kept by others, in time to save herself and her family. Mostly from Annabelle's point of view, there was also a bit of Scarlett (and her view really ramps up the tension with me shouting at her to not trust that person!) It does kind of start a bit slow, but there are enough intriguing dreams that have truth in them, that I had to keep going to see how it was all going to turn out. And boy did it have some wild turns (some a bit too whacky) but still entertaining and for the last quarter, I just had to sit and read because I could not put it down. So, it was a fun thriller, with a kind of touch of the supernatural (some of those dreams had really specific details!) and a happy ending, for those that deserve it anyways.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC copy.
I’m a big fan of Liv Constantine and this new story did not disappoint.
In this story we’re following a few POV’s, Annabelle a mother of 2, living a mostly perfect life starts having vivid dreams/nightmares , but then parts of these dreams start coming true. She doesn’t know if she’s going crazy or seeing the future. We also follow Annabelle’s teenage daughter Scarlet, who’s making some questionable choices about who she talks to online.
I was hooked from the beginning, I loved the writing style and how this story just flowed. It was complex, but in a fast paced easy way. 5⭐️ would recommend.

This might just be my favorite Liv Constantine novel since The Last Mrs. Parrish! The story centers around Annabelle, who begins having unsettling recurring dreams—more like full-blown nightmares—that start to eerily predict real events involving her family. The blending of psychological suspense with a supernatural edge felt fresh and original. It’s an easy book to sink into, with just the right amount of twists and tension to keep you flipping pages late into the night. If you love thrillers with a side of eerie premonitions, this one’s a must-read.

I enjoyed The Last Mrs Parrish, but this novel felt like it was written by a different author. The first half gave more speculative fiction than thriller vibes, and I kept waiting for it to get interesting. The writing itself was also not great, especially in the dream scenes.

Some of the twists were surprising; for example, I had a feeling Scarlett was being catfished, but I didn't guess who was doing it. Still, the well-done elements weren't enough to lift the overall story. I was skeptical going in, mainly because I don't like hearing about other people's dreams, but I wanted to give it a chance and hoped there'd be a payoff. I was wrong. The dream sequences were wholly unnecessary and seemed like nothing more than a lazy plot device to add intrigue.

Overall, the was disappointing.

This is another dual timeline novel, and it revolves around a family that is making their way in society. One is a doc and the other is a tech in the social media realm raising two girls. That’s when the dreams begin. The dreams are trying to tell something.

This one developed really slowly at the beginning before it picked up the pace. Good character development- even in the characters I did not like. Grateful to NetGalley for the read.

This story weaves the web of family drama, nightmares and fast paced suspense. I enjoyed the multiple point of views and character development. I enjoy not knowing who to like or dislike right away.

Do you ever wish you could see the future? What if your dreams actually came true?
What if those two were combined? Don’t Open Your Eyes or you might not want to close them again.

This was five stars for me and I highly recommended!
