A taut, twist-filled thriller that will haunt your dreams and keep you turning pages long past bedtime.
Don’t Open Your Eyes is an addictive, twist-packed thriller that will keep you reading “just one more chapter” until it’s 2 a.m. Liv Constantine delivers tension, emotion, and gasp-worthy reveals in perfect balance. The shifting perspectives and eerie dream sequences kept me guessing right up to the final page—and the ending? Absolutely brilliant.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bantam for the ARC..

This book was a mess for me. So many different pieces thrown at the wall and I was curious to see how they all were going to come together and by the end, I felt disappointed. This book had so much going on -- multiple POVs, traditional domestic thriller plotlines, multiple twists, and even a supernatural bent. Looking back, I'm not sure any of them were done very well, which is disappointed since I quite enjoyed the Parrish novels. I noticed that this once writing duo is now a singular sister. I wonder what happened to the other one. If maybe she saw the plot during the outline and bounced back of its outlandishness. I'll probably read the next book, but I'm going in cautious. Oi vey.

This is one of my favorite authors. I thought this was very good. It was everything that I love in a thriller and then some.

I was drawn to the colorful cover and intrigued but the visual photographs along with the title. I was happy to have the opportunity to review for NetGalley, and the majority of the book I was engaged, looking for and picking up clues (that eliminated some of my guesses as to where this was going). By the end I was disappointed to find that the storyline, while not predictable at the start, left me underwhelmed. I also did not find that the story had any connection to the cover to title.

One of my favorite authors and a must read.
Positives:
A compulsive read, quick and entertaining
Balanced tension between the two main storylines
Satisfying conclusion
Realistically dark dreams
Negatives:
A bit of a slow pace at the beginning, but the second half made up for it.

Thank you to Random House Publishing group Ballantine and Netgalley for “Don’t Open Your Eyes.” I really liked this book, Annabelle’s dreams were fun to read and I was always interested in how events would turn out from her dreams. There were so many twists and turns at the end I would have never predicted, I definitely recommend this book for someone wanting a fast paced intense read!

The premise was interesting but the characters and endj g fell a little flat for me. It seems too contrived.

Liv Constantine is one of my favorite authors! This did not disappoint! I stayed sucked into the entire book the entire time.

I’ll be honest, Liv Constantine has set the bar so high that I get anxious when there’s a new book. How can this one top the last? Somehow it does every time! Don’t Open Your Eyes was no different. It drew me in from the beginning and was a suspenseful read. Somewhat predictable ending, but that in no way changes how much I enjoyed this book. I was over the moon to receive an advanced copy, especially since this is one of my top favorite authors. It was an honor! Thank you NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Bantam. Publication date June 17, 2025.

Thank you Netgalley! Another favorite of this author duo. I devoured book so quickly. It was one of my favorites of the books I’ve read this year

Annabelle is happily married to Dr. James and they have two daughters. Annabelle begins having disturbing dreams, part of which come true. James disregards her dreams but Annabelle knows something is wrong, but what? Meanwhile, her daughter Scarlett has been chatting with a teenage boy online making plans to meet up. But her online friend has sinister intentions.
Overall, this was a moderately interesting book, but I thought that the ending was predictable. I didn’t like the character names very much, and some of the conversations were stilted.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group-Balantine for a copy of this book.

Don’t Open Your Eyes was easily devoured during a cross country flight. Liv Constantine’s skills were evident as she told the story of Annabelle, a successful social media specialist who begins having dreams that are coming true. It affects her life with her family and she is living in fear.
As the storyline delves deeper into their family life as well as their individual lives, opinions/predictions begin to form but the reader is constantly having to revise their thoughts as we learn more about each character. I enjoyed the family dynamics, particularly between the sisters. Scarlett was portrayed as a typical teen but her actions are pivotal to the storyline.
The pacing and the tension created between the characters kept me reading far into the night.
Many thanks to Liv Constantine, Bantam, and NetGalley for affording me the opportunity to read an arc of this compelling read, published on June 17th. Three and a half stars.

4.5⭐️
Massive thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine | Bantam for the ARC copy of this fantastic new psych thriller! Out now!!!!
This book pulled me in and packed twists and turns left and right. There was one small section where I found myself getting a little bored, but then it ramped right back up! That and the fact that I figured out what was going on were really the only reason this wasn't a full 5 star for me. However, even though I was able to guess the "big twist" it didn't take away from the overall enjoyment of the story.
This is one of those thrillers that has you second-guessing everyone and everything—and I mean everyone. The suspense builds slowly but steadily, and just when you think you know what’s happening, something flips the whole thing on its head.
I really enjoyed how the story kept bouncing between perspectives—it added a nice layer of tension, and I found myself flying through chapters because I had to know what was coming next. The characters are messy, complex, and just unreliable enough to keep you on your toes. The themes of manipulation, memory, and betrayal are woven tightly into a plot that constantly keeps you guessing.
If you enjoy thrillers that mess with your head, this one’s absolutely worth picking up. Just don’t plan on getting much else done once you start—you will want to finish it in one sitting!!

I received a DIGITAL Advance Reader Copy of this book from #NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This was a bit of a slow burn for me. It kept my interest through the entire thing but it felt like not a lot of things were going on. It was a lot of Annabelle has a dream and this is the aftermath of it. The main thing that was interesting to me was Scarlett's story because you just knew it was going to end up poorly so you wanted to see where it was going.
There was one part that I figured out almost immediately once you find out about Annabelle's big sadness from her past.
3.5 stars rounded up

Don't Open Your Eyes introduce Annabelle, a woman who appears to have it all — a fulfilling job, a loving husband, and two daughters. However, her seemingly perfect life begins to unravel when she starts experiencing vivid dreams that feel increasingly prophetic. The visions begin to manifest in real life; Annabelle is forced to question everything around her. Told through dual timelines and multiple points of view, the story plays with perception, trust, and the unsettling possibility of the supernatural. While the pacing was a little slow at times, the depth of the characters were able to keep me engaged.
The blend of dreamlike mystery with psychological manipulation kept me guessing until the end. If you're a fan of blurred realities this is an entertaining ride told through unreliable narrators.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bantam for providing me with an eARC of Don't Open Your Eyes in exchange for my honest review!
This thriller may require me to suspend my disbelief quite a bit, but it remains a compelling journey that builds up its suspense with the help of our protagonist Annabelle's apparently psychic dreams. I must say, they're not explained all that fully, except for a little bit of exposition about how her grandma had dealt with a similar form of predicting the future, and it's not even like I absolutely need a thorough breakdown of why Annabelle is having these mysterious experiences. But also, it would have been nice to weave that aspect and why it's happening more tightly into the narrative rather than leave it to be something that's just occurring in the protagonist's life.
That being said, it's still engaging to see how she wrestles with her dreams and the increasing sense of danger that puts her in a position where she has to figure out whether this is coming from a real threat and if it's pursuing her loved ones. It's not even her perspective that we solely cover; we also dive into the POV of her eldest daughter Scarlett, who grapples with her own challenges and pulls some teenage crap that causes me to arch a big eyebrow at her. Oh, and this even slips in a bit of time for a third POV that adds more of an enigmatic air over the tale. Now, I don't know if I'd say this book carries out the most thrilling way to deploy multiple perspectives, but for what it's worth, this path can still give us some decent meat to chew on as we keep track of these timelines and piece together the plot.
Once we head into the third act, this is where my opinion takes somewhat of an ambivalent turn. It's strange to process, because I ultimately click solidly with this segment. We've been building up the interwoven roads of the narrative, they all merge together into this ending that wants to wrap things up all tidily, and it executes this in a fashion that can get a good old thumbs-up from me. Simultaneously, the book leaves me thinking that I need to further suspend my disbelief as I watch someone act in such an overtly nefarious manner, making them feel like they'd flipped a switch in order to become a blatant villain for us to vehemently root against. I'm not even against this specific character being revealed as a person who has malice lurking in their heart, but the book devotes itself to a decision to rip off their mask and show off how dastardly they are, and it's a decision that comes off as over-the-top compared to what I'd read before (yes, I'm saying this while talking about a book that wields psychic dreams in its premise). It hits me like it belongs in a thriller that's much more trashy and lurid. It's what I keep feeling conflicted over after I turn the last page.
With my criticisms in hand, I'm going to give Don't Open Your Eyes an overall rating of 3.50 out of 5 stars, which I'm rounding down to 3 stars. I truly want round that up to 4 stars, but it's difficult for me to commit to this after I've considered my issues with the book. I do want to make it clear, though, that this could be a gripping time for you. I'm certainly glad I gave it a shot as someone who'd already checked out a couple of Liv Constantine's other thrillers, The Wife Stalker and The Senator's Wife.

Thank you @netgalley for the chance to read and review this one✨

Don't Open Your Eyes is a psychological thriller about Annabellle, who has a seemingly perfect life. But, when she begins to have vivid dreams that predict the future, her life begins to unravel. As her dreams continue to come true, Annabelle finds herself racing against the clock to protect her family and find out who is putting her daughter in danger, before it is too late.
This book had me on the edge of my seat.
When it was revealed how everything was created, I legitimately SHOUTED at the book. While breadcrumbs were left along the way to start to give me hints, I WAS FLABBERGHASTED. I enjoyed the way that everything came together in this book, the aspect of the dreams, the family ties, and the overall suspense of the story.

Thank you to Ballantine for my copy of DON'T OPEN YOUR EYES.
This one was super twisty but sadly, predictable. I didn't like the writing style in this one and it didn't hit like their previous books. It was fine, but definitely not as good as THE LAST MRS. PARRISH.
