This story takes a classic fairytale and throws it into a blender with amnesia, deception, and a hero who’s as charming as he is morally questionable and I loved it.
Briar wakes up with no memory of the past decade, only to be told she’s engaged to Oliver, America’s most eligible (and most infuriating) billionaire.
She doesn’t remember falling in love with him, but something tells her that love isn’t exactly what binds them together. Hate? Lust? A dark secret? She doesn’t know. And Oliver? Oh, he’s thriving in this situation. He’s been waiting for a second chance with Briar, though his version of "second chance" comes with manipulation, intense chemistry, and a little bit of deception.
The Vibes: Dark, Addictive, and Deliciously Messy
* Enemies-to-lovers with a side of forced proximity
* Billionaire romance with all the luxury & deception
* A hero who's both swoon-worthy & slightly unhinged
* Amnesia trope done right
* A fairytale, but make it twisted
The Characters: Morally Grey & Unapologetic
* Oliver – Rich, powerful, and utterly obsessed with Briar. He’s not exactly Prince Charming… more like Prince Problematic, but in the best way.
* Briar – Strong-willed, confused, and determined to remember what Oliver isn’t telling her. Her journey from helpless to fierce is satisfying.
The Audio Experience: Sultry & Addictive
With Christian Fox and Andi Arndt narrating, the audiobook is pure chef’s kiss. Fox delivers Oliver’s broody intensity perfectly, while Arndt brings Briar’s confusion and defiance to life. If you love audiobooks with great chemistry between narrators, this one’s a must.
This book is a rollercoaster of power plays, passion, and past betrayals. It’s addictive, unputdownable, and gloriously messy in the best way. If you love dark fairytale retellings with billionaire drama and enemies-to-lovers spice, My Dark Prince will have you hooked.

One traumatic moment tears two sweethearts apart. She's alone, except when she's with him. Tragedy and a promise end their romance. Fast forward, a chance meeting, followed by amnesia, create an opportunity to right past wrongs.

What a wild ride this was! I personally commend her for not finding Seb sooner because I would have checked every corner in that house as soon as I was told no. Because why not? I do remember being a little ticked off that the friends were so oblivious about his brother’s whereabouts and the grief he experienced. But overall I can’t say I’d do much differently when it came to our fmc. I feel like we went along with the doctor’s orders to help her amnesia and some even helped recover memories. I kinda wish she was a little more petty but that’s probably because I am 🥰🥰 Overall I enjoyed this book, the growth of the characters, and the relationships formed in it 🥰🥰

This was so fun and such an entertaining book. Also sad the series is done with but what a ride it was. This totally made up for the last book. It had so much personality and there was SECOND CHANCE!! You know I’m always a fan when it’s there. Anyway all the little Dallas and Romeo bits had me rolling. I just knew Oliver was going to be the best and he did not disappoint 🫶🏻 the audio of this book was out of this world. So well done e by both voice actors. Didn’t want to stop listening for a second!!!
Thank you NetGalley for the ALC

Guys! Oh my gosh. Let’s start with the audiobook performance and the narrators. I absolutely love love the choice in narrators. It truly makes all the difference. The story was intriguing and fun from start to end. I truly enjoy this author’s writing style. I love a second chance romance with a bit of enemies to lovers. I hope we get another story highlighting the mmc brother’s story.

I really enjoyed this book! The audio was fantastic and I loved the characters, their banter, and all the twists. I laughed out loud multiple times, it felt a bit longer than it needed to be though.
Thank you so much for this ALC opportunity, it was very entertaining.

I thought this was cute. I loved their childhood romance and how sweet Oli is to Briar. I know some people expected Oli to end up with Frankie but honestly this made so much more sense. I also saw some people complaining about how much Frankie was in this book but I don’t get it. She was around but not much more than Dallas or Farrow.
I loved Briar and I’m glad she and Oliver ended up together.
I really want a story for Seb. I’d honesty love to see him and Frankie together. Maybe help each other clean up each other’s hot mess lives lol
Audio performance:
While both narrators did amazing as usual, I’m bummed that Briar had an American accent. The girl was born in NY but then spent her whole life traveling all around the globe and constantly moving. It would’ve been nice to see some sort of accent for her.

I am not sure what the fuss is about. This book was way too long. Briar was douchy. I di not much like her whining. Oliver was sweet although a bit of a whipping post. Like seriously he's on a major guilt trip about virtually everything in the book. I did like the narration. I hated Seb and I don't know who the hell Frankie is, since I have not read the previous books.

First off, I want to commend the narrators! This was a 17hr Audiobook folks! That’s no small feat! So bravo! And great picks too! Loved loved loved Christian Fox & Andi Arndt who read for Oliver and Briar.
Now onto the book, the first 50% was absolutely riveting for me and I couldn’t wait to see what happened next… but then I felt the story just kept dragging on and on? And maybe there were moments that weren’t really needed. I get the authors wanted to make sure the readers are satisfied and tell the ‘whole story’, but it was a LONG one!
I also didn’t always feel the chemistry between Briar and Oliver. And honestly Oliver turned out to be a bit more whiny and less dark for me 😅. Seb was a great side story too, and that’s story line was very tragic… but… it was more like Oliver’s guilt that held him back, which was the darkness?? I kinda lost sight of that piece…
Regardless, I did enjoy the book, but not as ‘dark’ as I had anticipated… so maybe just mis-titled.

I LOVED the narrators for this one! Dual narration should be a requirement when books have fmc/mmc povs. I loved it! This story was so intriguing. I loved the enemies to lovers trope. I was so curious to see how the amnesia would play off. I know it was a whole hot mess at times, but I enjoyed the twists and turns. The spice was also spicing 😍 The fmc was so smart and funny, I loved her sarcasm and plotting. The mmc was every bit of brooding and mystery. I loved Sebastian as well! Overall a wonderful read! Now I need to go buy the pretty special editions of this book lol
I received the audiobook from Dreamscape Media to listen/review. All of the statements above are my true opinions after fully listening to this audiobook.

I received an advance reader copy of "My Dark Prince" in audiobook format from Dreamscape Media. This was my introduction to works by Parker S. Huntington and L.J. Shen, and unfortunately, it didn't leave me eager to explore the preceding books in this series. The primary drawback for me was the length; at over 17 hours, it felt overly drawn out, particularly since the plot seemed suitable for a more standard duration of 10-12 hours.
A few key issues stood out:
Olivier's character consistently overrides Briar's wishes without meaningful dialogue, often making significant decisions on her behalf in a frustrating manner.
The portrayal of wealth and excess was distasteful to me, particularly in the context of current social climates. The lavish lifestyles and carelessness exhibited by the characters were off-putting.
Olivier's brother's antagonistic role felt overly accepted by all involved, adding to the frustration.
Despite these criticisms, there were moments that kept me engaged enough to finish the book. However, by the two-thirds mark, I was ready for it to end. This book might appeal to those who enjoy lengthy, dramatic narratives, but it was a miss for me.

Loved this book! This was such a good second-chance romance that will keep you hooked!. Briar and Ollie were childhood sweethearts, but after years apart, fate brings them back together, only for Briar to have amnesia from a recent accident. She forgets all the pain they went through, and Ollie sees this as his chance to win her back. The chemistry between them is amazing, and their journey from enemies to lovers is both emotional and heartwarming.
Ollie’s past is complicated, but he’s determined to make things right, while Briar’s growth makes her the perfect match for him. The banter between them was GREAT! I also loved the characters from the previous books and I’m hoping the next book in this series will be on Sebastian!
Even if you're not usually a fan of the "amnesia" trope, the way it’s done here feels natural and adds a lot to the story. The audiobook version, narrated by Christian Fox and Andi Arndt, really brings the characters to life. If you've enjoyed the previous books in the series, you'll love this one too!

I really wanted to like this book but it was a little slow for me compare to my dark Romeo which I loved , the voices for the book where great .

I started reading this book, and although it was super corny, I planned on finishing it. Then, I read everything about L.J. Shen and the strong accusations that she plagiarizes her stories. For that, this book gets a 1-star review, and I will no longer read books by this author.

My Dark Prince is here, and you do not want to miss it!!! It's the third and final book in the Dark Prince series, and I'm totally sad that it's over. 😭 But I'm keeping my toes and fingers crossed that we'll get a certain someone's book. 🤞I freaking love this series so much!! Seriously one of my favorites now.
We hardly ever see a sleeping beauty retelling so the twist that Parker and Leigh did with it, was really well done. And to make it childhood friends to lovers to enemies to lovers made it even better! Oliver and Briar was not who I was expecting, but they caught me off guard. They were totally endgame!! Another masterpiece by Parker and LJ Shen.

thank you so much to netgalley and dreamscape media for the alc!

I'll start this off by saying I binged this whole series in 3 days.. it was that good. I gave the first 2 books a 3.75-4 but this book was hands down so much better than the first two books. Marked it a 5 but would say it's a 4.5-4.75, so rounded up.
I don't see very many amnesia trope books but always thoroughly enjoy them if done right. This is toted as a Sleeping Beauty inspired novel. This one was pretty believable with the amnesia trope and the miscommunication and misunderstandings that transpired in their pasts. The FMC Briar Rose and MMC's Olivers backstory was the sweetest thing ever. I knew from the beginning this was going to be a sweet love story. But I hated every moment that Oliver couldn't just be honest with Briar about what happened in his past. And the story with his brother Seb was heartbreaking. i think Oliver was the best MMC out of the series hands down.
Thanks to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for granting me access to an ARC audiobook of this book. The narrators did a good job. Andi Arndt often makes me think the FMC is very immature in how she conveys her characters voices, maybe it's just me personally, but I'm not a huge fan of her voice acting or nasally voice. She was a big reason I DNF'd the Ravenhood series as well. But Christian Fox did a good job, I don't think I've heard him in anything before.

I've read the series up untiil now. I didn't really like the first book, but liked the second book a bit better. This one, however, I ended up stopping in the middle. I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the narrators, but utimately the characters just got to be so frustrating that I couldn't listen anymore.
In this book, Oliver and Briar Rose's relationship is introduced. They were friendly as kids as both had super wealthy parents. However, Briar Rose's parents were neglectful and Oliver was often her only friend and/or confidante. The book jumps back and forth from different eras in their lives, before and after Oliver "ruined everything", which is not a writing style I really like but the overall characters and storyline were what lost me in the book. When he was 19 and she was 18 they were together in Europe but his father wanted he and his brother to take over the family buisness and that meant leaving Briar Rose in the dust for some reason (I DNFd at about 25%).
They see each other again after 15 years apart, and Briar falls when they are fighting and loses her memory. So Oliver decides to pretent they are engaged and take. care of her while her memory is gone. Meanwhile we get to hear about how awful her parents are, how lonely she is, and also how awful his brother and parents are (at least in this point in the book). I really hate that there will probably be a book about Oliver's brother when he seems like an ass and the parents not only favor him but had the nerve to tell Oliver that they "only' had a 2nd kid "for him". I hate that statement - they had the 2nd kid for themselves, and no one else. But I digress.
Also coming back is Frankie, the sister of the main character in book 1. OMG was she horrible. I can totally see her having her own book and her character is extremely stupid an unlikeable. This is it for me and this series, and likely both of the authors.
I recieved a promotional copy (though my book club is reading it and I would have read it anyway) and am giving an honest review.
