This was a DNF for me. It was my first Scottoline book and I found the writing to be very basic and simplistic. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to try it.

Do you read your horoscope every day? Julia does and Julia is convinced that her horoscope is very real and if she had read it then maybe her husband might not have been murdered. Julia inherit a villa in Italy and doesn’t understand why because she’s adopted and knows nothing about her birth family. However, based on her horoscope, she goes to Italy to try and find out where she came from. This one took some twists and turns that I didn’t expect and I enjoyed reading it.

This book desperately needed a stronger editor. One character makes an appearance and then just disappears. I can suspend disbelief for a while, but this one asks for too much of that. I felt as though threads needed finishing, so the author finished them but didn't finish them in the ways that might be expected or ways that work well, even. I have read better from Lisa Scottolini and I'm sure she'll publish better books in the future. There are many books that do suspense better than this one, I'd give this one a skip.

I was given this book by NetGalley for an honest review-
This was a great book! Julia’s adopted parents and husband have both been murdered. What is scary is her horoscope predicted it,
Julia receives a letter saying she has inherited Tuscan Villa. Who would have left her this? She knows no one by this name. She goes there to find out answers but someone does not want her there. Can she survive to find out who left her this and why? You won’t want to miss this book!

This book held my interest from beginning to end. Enjoyed reading about country of Italy. Felt like I was there. Suspenseful at times. Hard to put down at times. Again author did not disappoint

It’s been a few days and I must admit I’m having a hard time eating this book. Nothing is as it seems at the beginning-mor in the middle. You might suspect what real and what is not. I’d categorize it as a great beach read. I thought the end was wrapped up a little too neatly at the end.
