Sandra Markle is a longtime favorite at our library, and I was so happy to see that her latest book deals with the kind of puddle-splashing which so entranced me as a child! Better yet, she manages to turn that rainy day magic into something which can wend its way into even the most ordinary of days, livening up the mundanest of mundane afternoons into something with life and spark and magic. The illustrations by Thomas Gonzalez make for the perfect complement to Markle's text and story, and you can bet your best pair of (wet) socks that this was an easy and instant addition to our library's picture book wish list.

This book was okay but I wasn't overly impressed by the art or story.
