So good! Can I reread this, for the first time, again? Wow - attention was caught the entirety of this book

Meph has been that demon since book one and I’ve been waiting for his book forever. The banter, the snark, the tension—it was everything. Him and Iris start off with so much bite, constantly clashing, but their chemistry was undeniable. He’s that powerful demon with a hidden soft side, and she’s sharp and prickly because of her pain, but the way they pulled together just worked. Add in the hilarious back-and-forth with the other demon boys and I was grinning so much while reading. Watching them go from enemies to actually fitting together was messy, emotional, and so satisfying.
This one gave me everything I wanted—danger, steam (and yes it gets adventurous 👀), laugh-out-loud banter, and even a sweet little puppy moment. Meph secretly being an artist and letting Iris see that vulnerable side? Obsessed. The climax was intense and the ending gave me that perfect mix of HFN/HEA that felt right for them. I loved the little jump ahead into their future too—it was sweet and fulfilling. Honestly, typos here and there, but I didn’t even care because I was so sucked in. Emotional, spicy, funny, and addictive—definitely one of my top reads in this series.

Demon with Benefits is the third installment in the Hell Bent series, and it centers on Mephistopheles (Meph), a demon haunted by a deeply traumatic past in hell, who masks his pain with humor, and Iris—Lily’s twin sister—a fiercely independent, snarky witch with zero interest in demons or commitment.
Their dynamic kicks off with an enemies-to-lovers tension that’s messy and borderline toxic, but quickly evolves into a no-strings-attached, friends-with-benefits arrangement.
The chemistry between these two was absolutely scorching. The author masterfully weaves monster romance elements into the paranormal framework, creating a tale that’s as steamy as it is emotionally resonant.
Their fast paced tale was emotional, and humorous, with sharp, witty banter and character growth that was really well done. The secondary characters added so much to the story and I really love the relationship dynamics among the brothers.
This was the perfect balance of spice, snark, and soul and if you're a fan of paranormal romance with a monster twist, this one’s a must-read.

This is the first book that I read in Ascher's Hell Bent series, and perhaps if I had started at the beginning I would have a different opinion but I did not enjoy this book.
I found the characters too superficially and I personally felt like I didn't really know who they were, maybe if I had read the previous entries in the series I would know more about them. I am also trying to broaden my reading sub-genres this year and read more than small town romances but I think perhaps going straight to demon romances might have been a rather big leap.
I'm aware that people to love Ascher's Hell Bent series and are fans of these characters but for me this book missed the mark.

This whole series has been so fun! It's sassy, witty, funny, and so so spicy! This had me blushing out in public and making sure that no one could see the spicy I was reading! And I usually have a good poker face! I love this and it truly is such a quick read! Highly recommend for those looking who want a funny paranormal romance, and this series doesn't need to be read in order!
Thank you NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for the eARC.

LOVE this series so far.
Meph has my heart. He has experienced a lot of darkness due to previously being used to amass power for a duke of hell.
But he's still such a sweetheart deep down.
Love that they are emotionally constipated and adorably naive to their own emotions since they're foreign to them.
It's funny, spicy, heartfelt, and entertaining.

I do enjoy how each book focuses on a new couple in the Demon “friend/ family” group and their back story. It’s been very interesting learning how each Demon came to be where they are at and why they are in the human world. The over arching theme is really starting to come together in this book so I almost feel like this may be the last one that can be read out of order if you did t read the first two. I can’t wait for book four and definitely recommend these books if you like urban fantasy series.

I am giving this a 3.5 rating. This was a fun read, it was interesting to see the other side of Meph, his tortured background, and to read about his artistic side.
I also liked tough exterior, Iris and learning more about what she had to go through and how she was so protective over Lilly. And seeing her softer side come out later.
I do feel this was a little top heavy with the spice, would have liked more of the plot/ more scenes with Lilly and the whole gang together etc.
I am curious how the rest of the series will go and if they all have happy endings.
Thank you to Aurora Ascher, Hambright PR, and Kensington for the eARC and physical copy of this book.

I absolutely love this series. Its fun and quirky. I cant wait to be able to get all the trophies for my shelves

I absolutely loved this story!!!!
I'm a huge fan of books featuring demons and other supernatural beings, and this one delivered.
It's the third book in a series that (if I'm not mistaken) follows five demons who escaped from hell into the human world.
The fmc is a witch, and her twin begins a relationship with one of the demon brothers. Iris and Meph didn't get along the first time they met, but that was simply >desire<.
Meph is the typical mmc bad boy who everyone thinks is tough. He has tattoos everywhere and a few piercings. He uses humor a lot to make people ignore his true feelings.
Iris is the typical fmc who doesn't really let anyone in. She's afraid of connecting with someone, which is why she thinks the idea of just having sex without feelings or commitment with Meph is perfect (but we know that never works).
With secrets, intrigue, and several well-developed side stories, this book completely captivated me. I found myself entertained and involved in Iris and Meph's story, rooting for them and deeply moved when they opened up a little more to each other.
Meph, being a demon living in hell, knows almost nothing about his own feelings, so seeing him discover things, afraid of making mistakes, and realizing that he wants Iris in his life was the most beautiful thing in the world!
They went (literally) to hell to save each other! I really want to continue the series and read the books that came before it.

Demon With Benefits was wickedly fun, sharp, and surprisingly heartfelt. This is the third book in Aurora Ascher’s Hell Bent series, and while you could technically pick it up as a standalone, I can’t recommend enough reading the series in order. I’ve loved every book so far, and at this point, it’s become a full-on comfort series for me. It also cemented how much I adore the “found family” trope—watching this mismatched group of demons, witches, and familiars continue to come together is one of my favorite parts of each book.
Meph and Iris absolutely lit up the page. Their dynamic starts as enemies-to-lovers / friends-with-benefits, but the emotional depth quickly sneaks in. Iris is the guarded grump, hiding her insecurities about her place in the world, while Meph is the sunshine-y demon who masks his own pain with humor and charm. Watching them break down each other’s walls was addictive—equal parts spicy, bantery, and unexpectedly tender. And of course, the side characters (and beloved familiars like Faust, Grimalkin, and Eva’s cat) just made everything richer.
I also loved how the story balanced laugh-out-loud chaos with genuine growth and high-stakes danger. It’s campy, it’s hot, but it also has a real emotional core that makes you root for these characters.
Aurora Ascher has given me yet another paranormal romance that I couldn’t put down, and I’m already eagerly looking forward to Raum’s story. This series just keeps getting better.

This is the third book in the series and I loved it as much as I loved the first two books that I also read as arc. It was funny and spooky, and there was some romance as well. I would rate this book a four stars.

I loved it! This was actually the first book I've read of this series and I should have read the others first, but thankfully there was enough explanation in this that I wasn't lost at all. Meph and Iris are interesting characters. Both have issues that they're dealing with from the past. These two end in a benefits kinda relationship. No feelings just sexy times. But things happen as they always do but also an evil from their shared past shows up as well! This was so good! I enjoyed every bit, especially the spice. The monster spice was unexpected but interesting. This is definitely one to check out and now I'm going to read the other books in the series!

What in the delicious hell did I just read? This was campy, sinful, and absolutely feral fun. Aurora Ascher gave me a demon romance that somehow balanced wicked humor with molten heat, and I am both unholy and unashamed for how much I enjoyed it.
The banter is sharp enough to cut glass, the chemistry is fire and brimstone, and the entire vibe feels like someone spiked my paranormal romance with devilish glee. There's something addictive about watching chaos incarnate try to play night--- spoiler: he doesn't, and it's glorious.
If you want brooding angels, look elsewhere. If you want a demon who ruins you while making you laugh through the ruin, this is the one.

I’m hooked on this series! The found family dynamic is everything. I personally really enjoy a series that follows different characters who are all part of the larger story. This one follows Lily and her tattooed demon bad boy. What begins as enemies-to-lovers turns to chemistry quickly. I love a story with plot and spice. This is great.

this book was the best one in the series so far! I loved the couple more thing time around! the spicy scenes were spicing! which is so fun! it had me giggling!!!

E ARC BOOK REVIEW
demon with emotional issues what more could I possibly want?
Iris is spiraling, Meph is flirting his way through trauma, and 1? I was flipping pages like my life depended on it. their banter? elite. the sexual tension? painful in the best way. the smut?
(yes, there's a tentacle moment. yes, I
screamed.)
but what actually got me? the feelings. the insecurities, the misunderstandings, the way they both self-sabotage before finally figuring it out?? ugh. it was messy and emotional and so real.
not a full 5 stars for me some parts dragged a little-but I still
LOVED it. I kept thinking about Meph and Iris for days after finishing.

4⭐ 3🌶️
The emotional rollercoaster that was this book. I was waiting to see the real Meph hiding behind all the dumb jokes and 13 yo boy attitude. I loved the character development of both him and Iris. Super excited to see where the plot goes with the stolen book and Murmur's role.
I jumped between the audiobook and the ebook and really enjoyed both formats.
Thanks to the author, the Net Galley and Kensington publishing for the ARC. All comments are my own.

I loved it. This is the third book in the series and I recommend reading them in order.
Tropes and vibes
- enemies to lovers, friends with benefits
- Iris realizes she is in love with Meph pretty quickly, I love that this was not a slow burn!
- so so spicy 🌶️
- Meph is the sunshine half, but also an artist with a ruthless inner critic
- Iris is the grump who learns to warm up to others
- an adorable hell hound named Faust
- more pet cameos from Grimalkin and Eva's cat, introduced in the previous books (side note: so excited for Raum's story, I think it's so endearing how all the animals gather to him)
In previous books I was shipping Meph with Eva's mom, I think that would have been an interesting alternative to explore.

I expected a quick, spicy read and whilst it was spicy it also had a decent plot!
I really liked this, easy to read, entertaining and a solid enough plot to keep you hooked to the end.
I'm glad it's a series because this will be a fun one to keep up with!
