I was new to the universe Aurora Ascher created in this series when I requested Demon with Benefits. Once it was approved, I quickly read my way through the first two books. I enjoyed them, but they weren't necessarily my favorite reads. This third one however? I absolutely loved it!

Meph was my favorite character in the first two books and knowing that he would be the MMC in this made me so excited to read it. His mentality and humor were exactly what I had hoped they would be. In so many series, when it gets the book centered on that favorite character, it tends to disappoint. Not this one though. Ascher delivered on Meph's story and made it interesting, funny and also heart warming at the same time.

Within this book we get 2 different views on grief, but the way they are expressed is honestly quite similar. Both characters have compartmentalized the horrors of their lives so harshly that they live with physical repercussions from it. Seeing them overcome the mental holds on their lives made for great story arcs.

The world building has improved with each book and this one was the best by far. Being able to see more of hell, it's inner workings and Murmur's meddling made the story flow so well.

One of my few hang-ups here came in the third act. While I am no stranger to monster romance, I was taken a bit by surprise during the scene of Meph's demon and Iris getting it on. I understood the concept behind it of them both coming to realize that Meph and the demon are one in the same, but after reading how h0rrifying and terrible this demon was it was jarring to read.

I look forward to reading more of this series and more of Aurora Ascher's work. I also will likely be going out to buy this deluxe edition once it is released

Moving along with 5 star summer (apparently I can’t help myself), we have Demon with benefits. I wanted this story so much, I knew it would be angsty and steamy and it didn’t disappoint. Iris and Meph are difficult and I love the “we’re not falling for each other right?! Right?!” Situation and I just love how it turned out. I especially love an everybody knows but them dynamic.
This book had all that and a good amount of spice, their chemistry was amazing.
Aurora Ascher is killing it with these books and I highly recommend if you are a fan of paranormal/supernatural spicy!

I can’t wait for the other books in the series!

Thank you to NetGalley for the eARC. I am loving these!

Aurora has done it again. This series has been an amazing read. I am fully a fan of this book and this series. Aurora has been amazing when writing her comedy and her spice. This series has been amazing. This book overall was great, when I started reading, I couldn't put the book down.

Meph, the demonic bad boy who always wears a smirk is hiding some serious darkness. His demon side must be contained at all costs and he has a broken past he is not over. Iris is a witch who is over dating toxic bad boys. However, she may or may not be just as toxic. Seems like the perfect person to bring Meph out of his shell. Literally. When they are put in danger together, they must fight together to survive and in turn learn how to trust themselves.

Demons With Benefits written by Aurora Ascher

4.5 ⭐️

Format: Physical

✨ARC Review ✨
Demons With Benefits is book three in the Hell Bent series and can be read as a standalone. What happens when you put a smartass, sexy demon and a mean-girl with a never ending attitude together? They build an uncontrollable sexual tension and then when it explodes, it EXPLODES and OMG! 🥵 Meph and Iris are complete opposites and constantly argue. He is a drop dead gorgeous demon who is a jokester and full of never ending sarcasm while Iris is annoyed and in a dark place from previous traumas in book 2. (My Demon Hunter) Iris is Lily’s sister and is over the whole demon thing. I’ve said this before, but I usually struggle to like the FMC in a book, and this one was no different. I was annoyed it took her so long to get over her “swearing off demons,” because we love Meph!

Demons With Benefits was funny and entertaining while still having great character development and a plot. It’s been a while since I eyeball read a book and I’m so glad I did because this one did not disappoint.

This entire series has been a fun adventure however, I think Meph and Iris might be my favorite.

Do I recommend? Yes

Witty, steamy, and full of heart, Demon with Benefits is a delightful paranormal romance that blends laugh-out-loud moments with genuine emotion. The chemistry between the characters crackles, and the world-building is sharp without ever dragging the pace. A perfect pick for fans of supernatural hijinks and found family feels.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC!

“Doesn’t matter how much they love you, you’re my monster, and I don’t share.”

Iris and Meph are so hot and cold. One moment, there are rude words, then next apologies, and then they can't keep their hands to themselves. I love the inner dark and raw artist in Meph that comes out in clay form. It was a rollercoaster of emotions for Iris, being a witch in a coven and hanging around demons. Two sides of her world are often colliding. Their attraction was undeniable, but what had my heart was how seen or understood she felt with him, and she loved all of him, the monster that was a part of him. I loved this story.

Meph, the tattooed, wisecracking demon, completely stole my heart with his mix of humor and hidden vulnerability. Iris, the fiery, no-nonsense witch, took some warming up to, but her growth was incredibly satisfying to watch. Their banter was sharp, their chemistry explosive, and the emotional depth took me by surprise. What starts as casual turns into something much deeper as past trauma and a returning threat force them to face their fears. The found family vibe with the demon brothers added even more heart to the story. The spicy scenes were top-tier, the humor hit perfectly, and the emotional payoff made me want to read the rest of the series.

Like the first one, I had such a fun romp with it! The characters were just as funny and made this a really hilarious journey that had me cackling with delight!

Demon with Benefits was such a fun, addictive read. Meph is this tattooed demon who looks intimidating but is secretly a total softy, and I really enjoyed how layered his character was. The banter had me actually laughing out loud more than once as it’s sharp, sarcastic, and hits at just the right moments.

What really makes this series stand out, though, is the dynamic between the demon crew and their ladies. Their chemistry and constant roasting of each other are top tier, and it gives the story so much heart and personality.

Iris was a great match for Meph. Her growth throughout the book, especially while navigating past trauma, was really well done, and I loved seeing her come into her own. The romance felt genuine and balanced the steam with emotional depth. This one technically works as a standalone, but I’d recommend reading it after book two to fully appreciate the background connections. Also… the hellhound puppy? Absolute highlight.

Final thoughts: Super spicy, unexpectedly heartfelt, and just a really solid monster romance.

Ooooh my babies! This one was hard fought because things were not easy or simple for Meph & Iris but I have to say this is probably my favorite one so far just because of the chemistry and the back story of the characters, this isn't your usual paranormal romance but I absolutely gobbled it up and fell in love with these two!

I absolutely ADORE Meph!!! There's so much more to him than him just being the jokester as he comes off as. All the things he had to go thru being imprisoned by Valefor. Ugh!!! And Iris was exactly what he needed!! She put him in his place when he needed it and didn't take his crap! Their chemistry was insane!!
I think this was my favorite so far!

All the things he went thru while being in hell under Valefor's control, unimaginable. Truly a tortured artist. I love the friendship he and Jaqui have. His brothers love him and have his back. I just love them all. I cant wait for more of this series!

I enjoyed watching Meph and Iris's relationship grow. They fit each others broken pieces perfectly. You can't go wrong reading this paranormal romance! Iris had me wanting to put some since into her in some parts of the story. As always the spice was hot and had me wanting more! I wasn't sure how Meph's story would go, but this exceeded my expectations! I can't wait to see Raum's story next!!!!!

Going into Demon with Benefits, I thought this was really going to be a fuck buddy scenario with an unusual HEA because there just friends, but that’s how they like it. I also thought the writing style changed from book 1 and 2 to this book, but as I read it more I see it’s written in a way to represent Meph and his character.

Demon with Benefits really gives an amazing backstory on Mephistopheles, Meph, and is written so well. You understand his pain and struggle. You really get to know how and fall in love with his goofy off the wall character. You also get to watch him grow to accept his demon form and watch even an untamable demon bend to Iris will. Now I love a man who falls first and hard, but this one got me bad!!

We also get a touch of a backstory on Iris and her history of Val and how her and Lily’s parents died and the part he played in it. Little did we know Val also ties back to Meph in a terrible twisted way, I think they really bonded through their semi shared trauma.

I love seeing Raum and even Belial shows a smidge of awkward emotions and feelings for Meph, like he’s the baby brother they took under their wings but always have to rescue from hisself and his demon.

This might be my favorite book of the series, because I felt so drawn to Meph and his character and his trauma even though I had “Nesta” type feelings towards Iris and her cold, icy heart and the way she broke Mephs heart. I hated her briefly but she stepped up.

For you spicy readers…. Ohhh it’s spicy!! 🥵 Demons have the best “appendages” and know how to use them well. Especially with a partial shift so you get two at once. 🤪 plus he’s pierced 🍆

I loved the banter, the humor , the fun rom com, the characters and the story. I had a lot of giggles when revenge struck and aaaws when love finally hit right. Meph and Iris is perfect for each other. And I'm a little bit on my toes, because now there might be two problems arising and I need the next book like yesterday.

Demon with Benefits is the third book in the Hell Bent series. This book follows Meph and Iris as they both feel something between them. By demon standard Meph is considered young and is known for being a jokester of the bunch. Meph is tattooed from head to toe and while to some it may be a turn off but for Iris it is a turn on. They decied to be casual lovers but when Meph starts to feel more than that Iris knows it is time to leave the relationship. When Meph goes missing Iris starts to ask more questions about Meph and the demon that he keeps from emerging since he had a binding spell tattooed on him. Now Iris must do everything in order to save him from Hell before it is too late. I would like to thanks both NetGalley and Kensington for letting me read an advanced copy of this novel.

The hellbent series continues!! I loved it! Meph and Iris, a Demon and a blood born witch. Natural born enemies with an unparalleled attraction! They love to hate each other! Meph appears to be playful and fun and Iris very rule following and worry wart. They both feel broken in their own way, and don't want anything serious. So bring on the angst and all the spicy things!! Oh and the demon dog!!! Can't forget him!!
This is a fun well written story!! I loved it and highly recommend it!
