This one just wasn't for me. It's so generally cliche right off the bat and I couldn't continue. It's a DNF for me.

I had very high expectations given it was dark mafia, and I do love dark romance. Unfortunately it did not meet the mark for me. There was so much potential, but a lot of the book felt rushed. Our FMC was a little too forgiving in my opinion. And some of the wording was cringy. I really wanted to like this, I’ve heard a lot of great things about this author. Maybe I’ll try a difference book by this author soon.

If there is one thing I love - its an overprotective MMC. And this one delivered JUST that!

Fast paced, lots of spice, lots of drama, some suspense - just an amazing mafia romance that was such a good time. Both MC's grow so much and come to terms with all of their past traumas, which I always love.

This book surprised me in the best way. A mafia x sports romance isn’t something I have read before, and now that I have, I will keep my eye out for more. Keller is all broody and dangerous energy, while Sienna’s strength and vulnerability made her so easy to root for. Their connection is intense, the kind of chemistry that jumps off the page.🔥

I loved the mix of gritty stakes and tender moments, and I was fully invested in their story from the first chapter. The emotional pull, drama, and tension kept me flipping pages until the end. If you’re into fast-burn, high-stakes romance with characters who feel raw and real, definitely give this one a shot. Can’t wait to see where the series goes next.💥

Really wanted to love this book because I’ve heard great things about it however unfortunately the insta-list was a little too ridiculous for my liking, & I usually don’t mind that trope. The dialogue was kinda cringey at times, which made it seem unnatural & forced. I enjoyed the dark romantic suspense storyline though as it kept me engaged & wanting to read more to find out how everything plays out.

I however did not enjoy the fact that there seemed to be smut at every corner. I’m not one to complain about there being a lot of smut, but when it comes in the way of relationship or character development, it takes away from the actual romance & makes the relationship seem SO superficial & inauthentic.

Sienna is a firecracker. She’s feisty, confident & has quite a large personality, but she’s also vulnerable & emotional. Keller is morally grey, possessive, obsessed, jealous, & ruthless. However, despite being this big mafia hit man x boxer, he too, is vulnerable & even cries!! (we love an emotionally available man)

As I mentioned, this is very insta-lusty with both characters showing an immediate attraction towards one another. They have explosive chemistry & their physical connection was VERY hot, although I wish we got to see more relationship development beyond just surface level attraction. Overall this was a fun book with an intriguing plot that was still quite good, I just wanted a deeper relationship & less cringey dialogue.

Oh it was so good being able to re-read this after a long time. I forgot how much I loved this series. Luna Mason just knows how to write a mafia romance and i’d get on my knees to be able re-read this series for the first time again because it’s that good.

Yes this book is Insta Love but it’s one that is done so well. Like wdym a mafia hitman (MMC Keller) saw the FMC (Sienna) for the first time at his club and immediately fell in love with her?! I mean she literally fell on his lap by accident but like who wouldn’t when he’s packing that big 🍆

The spice was incredible and Luna really knows what’s she’s doing in that department 🌶️ No wonder a certain thing happened later on 😂👀 IYKYK

The trauma from the FMC was valid since her ex is a POS!! I’m so glad Keller made her heal and find herself again since she really went through it. Now she’s happily with a mafia hitman and is living her best life like yes girl 😍

As always Luna’s books are jammed packed so I never found myself bored. I loved it how she surprised me with that twist with the FMC Sienna’s ex 😱 The kidnapping was predictable but I still enjoyed it only because kidnapping in a mafia book is a must really 🤷‍♀️

I loved this dark mafia romance. Sienna and Keller had serious chemistry throughout the book. Keller wasn't looking for love or a relationship because of his role in the mafia. When he met Sienna he just couldn't stay away. Sienna recently caught her fiance cheating on her and now he won't stop stalking her. Keller definitely gives off the "touch her and die" vibes. If you like mafia romance you won't be disappointed in this book!

Distance by Luna Mason is a scorching hot dark romance. I don't think I have ever read any romance where the hero is a sports sensation and a mafia enforcer! Keller Russo definitely brings a lot of dark alpha energy here. He is super possessive and ultra protective. He had a rough upbringing and even having the boxing champion title hasn't erased the darkness completely. Sienna literally crashed into his life. She might seem sweet and sunny at first glance but she has a hidden sassy vixen side.

Keller never thought he would be in love. His world is too violent and volatile. But it was epic chemistry and intense connection with Sienna from the beginning. She has a lot of trauma and vulnerability. But she is also fighting her demons constantly. It was a dilemma for Keller. To claim her to brighten his world or let her go to keep her safe. At the end, they both know that leaving isn't an option. This book is super spicy and full of action. This version also contains the bonus novella Distance Forever and an interview with Keller.

I feel this book had a lot of potential to turn into something so good. A lot of things were left half finished. From character building to plot to feels. Everything felt a bit hurried and half hearted.

Loved this book! I read this in 2 days, could not put it down! The plot had similar vibes to Hooked, by Emily McIntyre mixed with the Crossfire series by Sylvia Day, but held it's own. It had it's own unique plot and storyline. The story is about the MMC who had a troubled childhood and became a world champion boxer/business man by day and the mafia's hitman by night. The FMC, also comes from a troubled childhood and has been let down by everyone in her life, except her best friend Maddie. Her best friend takes her to a new club for their birthday celebration and this is where they end up colliding into the MMC's world. The romance and MMC gives everything all of us women dream of! If you like touch her and I'll burn the world down, but treats her like a queen, this is for you! The most refreshing part of this book is that the romantic relationship was built at a satisfying pace, not too slow or too fast. It felt genuine and not forced, like so many others do. You could feel the love and respect they had for each other. There was an exciting twist that kept you on the edge of your seat and an enjoyable ending. I will definitely be reading the other books in this series, this was book one. They are stand alone but the characters from this book continue with their own stories in the rest of the series.

This was a new to me author but truly had me at MMA and Mafia. I enjoyed this read! I loved that our MMC Keller was immediately drawn into Sienna. This was filled with subtle humorous moments that made me laugh ( we love a Damon Salvatore name drop).

Although they are instantly drawn together, there is a lot push and pull that left me wanting more. Keller has quite the past and it mixing in with the suspense. This was a quick read that gave all the heat, laughs and finished off perfectly! I’ll be excited to read more from this series!

I was immediately hooked from the first chapter and couldn’t put it down! I absolutely loved Sienna and Keller together! The chemistry and tension between them was absolutely incredible! Luna had a way of making you fall in love with all of the character and man does she know how to write a story!

I just love Luna Mason and Distance Beneath The Mask was amazing. I love me a dark deadly alpha male and Keller “The Killer” Russo made my heart beat so fast. Sienna and Keller met at his club and it was insta attraction, and it was so hot. Of course being as awesome as Sienna is she has a dumpster fire of an ex fiancé who won’t let her go. I love how even though Keller doesn’t want to bring Sienna into his world he also can’t get her out of his mind. These two just can’t keep their hands off each other and I freaking love it. And when he calls her his goddess, freaking swoon!! Distance has great spice, an amazing plot, drama and the HEA I was freaking craving for these two.

This is Keller and Sienna’s story. You will definitely fall in love with these two! He is a product of the foster system. She was never wanted and suffered neglect from her the woman who gave birth to her. Two broken people who together form a bond that makes them whole.

This is a story of overcoming and healing. Sienna is determine to give back and formed a program for foster children. Keller helps her enlarge her system and is in awe of what she accomplished.

I had to DNF this book unfortunately it just wasn't for me. The ebook formatting also was annoying for me to try to read. But thank you for the opportunity.

This was an interesting dark romance. Overall, this book did not grab my full attention, the characters felt underdeveloped and I didn't believe the chemistry between the two.

Distance, was an addicting read & I was completely obsessed with this book! It consumed me! I finished it in a day! A dark mafia romance with a boxer! If anyone knows me, mafia romance is everything to me! It had all the mafia vibes I needed! The chemistry, tension, heat, angst & spice in this book was wow! I loved all the characters, even the side characters!

I was so invested in Keller & Siennas story from the first time they met! I could not put this book down. At one point in this story I was crying, but such happy tears! Keller is oh my goodness, he was everything! A hot big tattooed, strong, mafia, boxer & totally obsessed with Sienna! But has a heart & a softy for no one but Sienna. The lengths he would go for her, is amazing! A true touch her & d*e read! Keller & Sienna were destined to be together! I need me a Keller, please & thank you!

Reading their story was just beautiful & I was here for all of it! I CANNOT wait for the next book! Now, I think I need to recover!
