*~* Most Creative Alien Concept *~*
I alternating reading and listening to this book and when Chapter 7 started on audio, I audibly squealed realizing 1. this book was a dual POV. & 2. The male narrator's voice was like velvet. Oh my goshhhhh. I felt like Elizabeth Stephens built this world in such a good way that never made me feel lost, but still had surprises at every turn. I loved Nessa and Rollo and their chemistry. Nessa was strong and Rollo was a protector and they truly brought out the very best in one another.
Thank you Net Galley, Montlake, and Elizabeth Stephens for an eARC of this story.

I loved what a unique and quirky premise this book had and the storyline did not disappoint! It gave me a bit of My Funny Demon Valentine vibes with the kick of supernatural and insta-love going on. Roland is the epitome of touch her and die vibes in an equally unhinged but almost endearing way? Vanessa is a fairly meek FMC with major anxiety and PTSD triggers but somehow manages to talk to/fight with/fall in love with our wild and unpredictable crazy alien superhero/villain/gray area MMC in Roland. There is a lot of them bringing out the best in each other and coming out stronger for it, with the support of the quirky side characters (my kingdom for a Margerie/Charlie storyline, even though I know that Monika is next). Roland’s POV chapters were my favorite, they really highlighted his hella gray morals but also how 100% gone for Nessa he was which makes their romance easy to root for. I felt almost protective of her throughout the initial story setup since we initially only got her POV for a bit, and seeing how purely Roland felt was exactly the right way to showcase their dynamic.
Additional notes:
Solid representation in here including but not limited to: LGBTQ+, ethnic and racial, family types, anxiety, etc. A little bit of everything in a real manner.
Spicy scenes were excellent!
Love the dynamic between Vanessa and her family, especially her brothers. Them defending her against a literal supervillain and beating up her childhood bullies is exactly what our anxious little cinnamon roll deserves.
Thank you Montlake for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

I’m down to read most of what Elizabeth Stephens has written. Vanessa’s social anxiety inspired such bad second-hand embarrassment I thought I was going to have to DNF. However, I’m so glad I continued because it turned out to be such a sweet and spicy romp. Vanessa and Roland were such a fun couple and *those* scenes were so freaking good. Not only was the romance romancing, Vanessa’s friends and family provided some great comedic relief! I’m excited to read any continuation of this series!
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with this ARC.

This was a DELIGHT from start to finish! We need more superheroes in romance!
Vanessa Theriot is the Founder and CEO of a growing PR firm. Her company is in the running for a massive contract to manage PR for the Pyro, one of the 48 superheroes who fell to Earth when they were children. Now, most of the 48 have declared themselves in one of two camps: heroes and villains, part of the Champions of Earth (COE) and Villains Network of America (VNA), respectfully. Vanessa and her firm want to make the Pyro a hero, despite his bad guy reputation.
Vanessa is confident in her work, but less so in her personal life. Her first meeting with the Pyr0 (AKA Roland Casteel) is disastrous. Roland seems to hate her on sight, and it's clear her firm will not be the ones representing him. Little does she know, Roland is immediately OBSESSED and doesn't know what to do with himself. He agrees to work with Vanessa and her firm under one condition: Vanessa has to be his fake girlfriend.
Things I can't stop thinking about:
1. Roland's first POV chapter. This man is DOWN BAD and has no idea what to do about it. His internal monologue about kidnapping Vanessa had me on the floor,
2. The immediate "MY WIFE."
3. Their nicknames for each other - Nessa and Rollo. It's SO SWEET.
4. The cast of characters! Vanessa's colleagues and family were a riot. I feel like there are SO MANY stories to tell in this universe!
5. The TURN this story took. One word: PINK. WHY IS THIS SO HOT?!
I love Elizabeth's brain, and I can't wait for the next book in this series!!

I sadly did not enjoy this book. While the premise of the book was very exciting, I felt it wasn't executed well. I felt that the main story or the superhero elements were overshadowed by the romance. I also didn't feel that the superhero world was explained well, and I was left confused a lot. I'm not sure if this book is meant to be part of a series, but if not, a main conflict didn't really show up until 75% through.
The romance in this book felt very weird to me. The female main character was written well, but the man was simply just odd. I felt that some of his comments were weird, and honestly uncomforting.
I DNF'd this book at 75%.

I really enjoyed this book at first, but about halfway through, it went a totally different direction that took away my interest. I think the plot and characters are all very interesting, but it also felt like a "The Boys" fanfiction a little bit, and I wanted more.

As a kid I loved comic books and was fascinated by superheroes. I mean Gambit was my first crush so I was so excited to read this book and it did not disappoint. All superheroes have an origin story and the story of The 48 is very similar to Superman’s which I personally love. Sure Roland is technically an alien but he’s a badass alien who could melt organs. He’s the best kind of grumpy, the kind that is gruff with everyone but his girl. You could feel the chemistry when he met Vanessa and I was rooting for them the whole way.
Vanessa may not be a superhero but she’s also a badass I mean she charged right to save Roland when he was captured. She is smart and brave and watching her let down her walls was heartwarming. She has so much trauma that she’s trying to work through and with Roland’s help she finds some peace and I loved that so much. Vanessa’s family was perfection, I want 5 brothers that’s would take on a superhero or 10 to protect me.
The action in this book had me on the edge of my seat. There were so many times when things were happening that I was holding my breath. There are so many unanswered questions and I can’t wait for the next book to see what gets answered. I don’t do spoilers in my reviews and this book has so many surprises it’s hard to really give an adequate review without saying omg I can’t believe that happened so you’re just going to have to trust me and check out this book!

I am absolutely obsessed with this. I devoured it
The character growth in Vanessa is immaculate. She is so very sweet and driven. I loved watching her journey of self after she met Roland.
Roland is the biggest simp. I love that male. Baby boy doesn't even understand why his chest be rumbling. I greatly enjoyed seeing this gruff male get so flustered and embarrassed at times.
I'm usually not that in to insta-love, but I make accepting for monster and omegaverse stories. Since the concept of mates are a thing and it just hits different than insta-love in contemporaries.
I adore Vanessa's family and found family. Very interested to see who future books end up being about. There's a very obvious coupling we see in this one. But after them, there's no telling if we'd follow more of Vanessa's family or some of her coworkers/friends. Either way, I'm excited to find out.
This was my first read from Elizabeth Stephens and I'm excited to dive into her backlist now.

I already loved aliens, but I'm def in my superhero romance era and I need more immediately.
Previously, I have enjoyed Elizabeth's writing style and this was no different. Fresh off The Bone King and the Starling, I absolutely needed a funny book that I could giggle and kick my feet to. Everything about this book from how they meet to the end was witty and funny and even a bit outlandish. It didn't take itself too seriously while also fleshing out childhood trauma. Not to mention I love it when the man has is bad for the fmc.
I received the eARC and an ALC and listen/read at the same time. Some passages were different from the audio to the ebook, so hopefully that was fixed for the release.

what such an amazing and fun story!!! i absolutely loved reading this book and could not put it down once i started. it's a funny, amazing, spicy, and great story!! Roland and Vanessa will forever live in my heart now because this was such a great read! i also definitely was tearing up at some point, especially with Roland dealing with Vanessa's anxiety and just the way he cared for her made me swoon and want my own big pink alien

Such a unique twist on not only the romance genre but also superhero stories. As a former marketing girlie, I also loved how real/realistic the PR elements of this were. Stephens has easily set herself up for a never ending series exploring ALL of the 48 (and to be clear: I'd read them ALL!). Also
I related to Vanessa so much, working in such a social-heavy field but being anxious and introverted. That might have been my favorite part. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy.

Y’all, run—don’t walk—to read All Superheroes Need PR because this book? Exactly what I didn’t know I needed in 2025. A superhero romcom?? Yes, please. It gave me Marvel/DC nostalgia mixed with a fresh, funny, and steamy twist—and I was hooked from the jump.
The story follows Vanessa, a badass marketing pro trying to win a PR contract with a upcoming superhero whose image needs serious help. That superhero? Roland. And when I say he’s obsessed with her in the best way possible, I mean it. He was chef’s kiss perfection.
What I really appreciated was how this book handled anxiety—it was real, raw, and totally relatable. It didn’t feel like a plot device; it felt like truth. I saw myself in Vanessa, and that kind of emotional honesty hit hard.
And the spice? Oh, it brought the heat and the twists. Let’s just say you won’t see everything coming, and that makes it even better. It’s not super long (thank you!), but it packs a punch, and it ends with enough setup that I need book two ASAP.
Also, shoutout to the found family feels and genuine character growth. This book had me laughing, swooning, and wanting to skip work just to keep reading.
If you’re into romcoms, superheroes, obsessive love interests, and strong female leads? Go read this. Like, now.
Thankful to be getting this ARC through NetGalley and Montlake! Be on the lookout on May 27 for release day!

How is this the first Elizabeth Stephens book I'm finally reading?? This was so good! Loved the unique superhero/villians/aliens storyline, that I feel like is underrepresented in the romance genre.
The banter? The chemistry? Omg I'm swooning over here! I can’t wait to see more of this world and for more of this series!
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC. Now I need to get my hands on the audio because I hear it's 🔥.

I’ve been a fan of Elizabeth Stephens for quite a while. I discovered her when I stumbled upon the Xiveri Mates series in Kindle Unlimited and devoured the whole series in a matter of weeks. So, I was super excited when I discovered that Montlake was publishing her all-new series featuring SUPERHEROES AND SUPER VILLIANS.
All Superheroes Need PR is a fun, sexy read featuring only a good guy for you, fake dating, workplace romance, and the kill her and die tropes. There is also a lovable, loyal diverse friend group, a wonderful adoptive family, a FMC with PTSD and childhood trauma, and a MMC who is a bit mysterious.
PR director and agency owner Vanessa Theriot is good at what she does. She’s also surrounded herself with competent, smart people who are able support her ideas and make their small PR firm successful. She prefers being the person in the background while her employees take center stage. That all changes when the Heroes are looking to sign Roland Casteel a.k.a. the Pyro and need to change his image. Vanessa’s firm is in the running, and this could be the big break that would set them up for big future successes. But when the first meeting goes to hell in a handbasket, and Pyro demands that she leave the meeting, Vanessa fears that will be the end of any collaboration between her small firm and the Superheroes.
But no dear reader, it doesn’t end there. Lots of shenanigans ensue and before Vanessa realizes it, she’s not only signed an exclusive contract (at Pyro’s direction no less) but finds herself being the sole focus and fake girlfriend of the world’s newest Superhero. And that is AFTER he has a run-in with her overprotective brothers. But what is supposed to be fake, soon feels all too real. And the reasons Pyro feels such a connection with Vanessa will soon reveal themselves.
THIS WAS SUCH A FUN BOOK. It kind of reminded me of all of those old school paranormal romances I used to devour. It’s also super sexy. There are serious themes, especially Vanessa’s PTSD related to her childhood, but they are handled with care. Vanessa has a strong support system, and even though the romance with her superhero is sometimes confusing, and other times downright dangerous, their love blossoms into something very real.
The set-up for book two is delicious, and now that I’ve discovered who will be the main love interests, I’m beyond excited. I’m absolutely here for how this author seems to be setting up the expansion of worldbuilding and superhero/villains backstories. But being familiar with her work, I should have expected it. If you haven’t read this author, I urge you to do so.

The Boys/Umbrella Academy meets Roswell in this spicy, charming, and heartfelt superhero romance. Sizzling chemistry, endearing found family shenanigans, with a compelling sci-fi plot twist that will leave you looking for the next book, All superheroes Need PR is an out of this world read. What I loved most is how both main characters didn’t let their past define them. This book is a rollercoaster of emotions from laughter to heartbreak and all the warm fuzzy feels in between, you’re in for a wild ride and a good time when you pick this one up.
Thank you to Netgalley , the author and publisher for a complimentary copy of this ebook. I am leaving a voluntary review. All thoughts and ideas expressed are my own.

He's a Wreck it Ralph...
Vanessa is a PR guru who is tasked with revamping a villain to a hero. Pyro, Roland is a bad guy. He does not like Vanessa. Its a bumpy ride from villain to hero.
I do enjoy a superhero read.
Recommend.

Thanks to NetGalley and publisher for an eARC for an honest review.
Such a fun, easy read, read in two days!
Burn Down the World For You Romance!
Superhero romance with a side of worldbuilding, this book starts with a hate-to-love couple, FMC with a huge family that's supportive with wonderful banter!
The representation was filled to the brim! Every character had mentions of different cultures and ethnicities, all of them so distinct I had no trouble following along! Character development was fun and felt like a payoff by the end of the book.
Familiar superhero origin story with a twist, but heavy on the romance! The spice level was surprising, getting into levels I hadn't expected from the cutesy-feeling start. Not for beginners.
Devoured this book, couldn't get enough, can't wait for book two!
The beginning of the book did have several parts I skipped over, due to FMC's thoughts being repetitive. It would say the same thing 2-4 times in one paragraph, but it was a small issue because I loved the rest of the book!
Can't wait for book 2!

Wow! Elizabeth Stephens does not miss for me. I loved this book! It was a fantastic twist on the alien superhero.
Some years ago, several alien children crash-landed on Earth exhibiting extraordinary powers. Eventually, they kind of divide into heroes, villains, and some that are indifferent. Of course, countries find a way to monetize it all.
Vanessa owns a PR firm tasked with cleaning up Roland, The Pyro's image so he can join the heroes, but as it turns out he's ONLY good for her. The rest of the world can literally burn!!
There's anxiety rep, a fantastic twist, and an eclectic found family group that put the icing on the cake for me. I love a diverse group of ride-or-die family and friends.
Roland and Vanessa's "burn it down" road to happily ever after with a twist was so much fun. I cannot wait to see who's next in this world of superheroes and villains! Happy reading!!
PS. The audiobook was fantastic

4.5 ⭐️
If you enjoy series like The Boys or Invincible with more heartwarming romance and a fair bit of spice, then this would be right up your alley.
This book was a delight, I didn't expect anything too serious and that is what I got. A book where a villain named Roland Casteel also known as Pyro has decided to switch sides, little did he know that the person who was bidding to manage his PR campaign, a shy woman who thrives who happens to be excellent at her job and has other people who will do the aspects of the job that she finds difficult.
Vanessa's backstory is devastating, coming from a family where her parents abused her emotionally and physically, she has a lot of trauma. She does end with a nice blended family that loves her to pieces. Her adoptive siblings are hilarious and so overprotective.
The meet-cute between Roland and Vanessa failed, she was in a confused state as to why Roland "hated" her, and Roland was just holding back as to not take her.
The romance develops quickly as Vanessa and Roland end up in a fake dating situation (my favorite) but then end up having like a mid-way breakup.
The reason I took half a star off is because, there were two things that were a bit much and not enough.
1. They get into a very heated argument and say some really mean words to each other.
2. I would have preferred having more of the PR campaign planning.
Overall, the book as fun and a good setup for future books without being overwhelming for those who don't normally read sci-fi or sci-fi romance.

4.5⭐️ This was SO FUN ! I need more superhero books cause this was entertaining asf 😭 I think immersive reading it made it that much more exciting tbh . The book did take like an unexpected turn in the end which kinda almost caused a genre shift? (Iykyk I can’t say without spoiling). I’m not mad at it though lol.
