This was an amazing rendition of Tuck Everlasting. The art was amazing and the story was right to the point. This was a great!

A beautiful retelling of a familiar story, Tuck Everlasting: The Graphic Novel is absolutely something to check out.

The heartwrenching story of a family who can never grow old, and a young girl who yearns for more in her life, finding each other by chance. The Tucks have a lifetime and thensome of experience, which they pass onto Winnie, teaching them why they love, hate, or just have accepted their fate.

The artwork is so, so pretty, and you really do get a very faithful adaptation of a classic tale. Absolutely check it out if you can!!

I loved this book as a kid and have been eagerly awaiting the graphic novel adaptation. The illustrations were beautiful! The story stayed true to the original and the graphic novel just brought it to life. I loved it and will be buying a physical copy for my children. Thank you for this ARC!

I'm probably one of the few of my age that never read the novel, even when the movie came out back when so this was totally new for me.

I appreciate the whimsical art style as it suits the story so well.

Winnie Foster is living a pretty sheltered life and hopes to make a difference in the world and maybe have an adventure. One day she decides to explore the wood by her home that her family owns and sees a boy there drinking from a natural spring. But when she tries to take a drink too he flat out stops her and his family carries her off. They have to protect the secret of the spring. You see 87 years ago, their family drank from that spring and none have aged or been able to die since.

And thus starts a bit of adventure, which also bring the opportunity to make a difference, for Winnie.

I enjoyed reading Tuck Everlasting: The Graphic Novel. The illustrations were adequate and helped convey the story, though at times I felt they left me wanting more detail. I truly appreciated the premise of the story—it’s a timeless concept that sparks deep reflection. However, I felt that some of the richness and nuance of the original novel were lost in the graphic format. While I believe school-aged children will find this version engaging and accessible, as an adult reader, I prefer the depth and detail found in the traditional text version.

Wow! As someone who loved Tuck Everlasting as a child and recently reread the original to find it holds up, I was so excited to find this graphic novel version on NetGalley. To say that I am blown away is an understatement. It is an excellent format for this story. The artwork is outstanding; likewise, the way the narration is woven into the illustrations is an art form in and of itself. I loved how magical the art style feels because it suits the story well. This graphic novel is perfect for those feeling nostalgic for the original from their youth, as well as for a new generation discovering the story for the first time. I also loved the conversation between the graphic novelist, K. Woodman-Maynard, and Lucy Babbitt, daughter of author Natalie Babbitt. It was nice to see some of the process behind adapting this gorgeous graphic novel and how the author's daughter feels about her mother's work getting to live on in a new form. This was an amazing adaptation. I read this book when I was a little girl and loved it. This was a very faithful adaptation and I can't wait for a new generation of kids to discover this great story in graphic novel form.

I've been a fan of Tuck Everlasting since I was a kid. I'm also a huge fan of the stage adaptation. This graphic novelization of the classic story highlighted the message of the novel and the illustrations were beautiful.

K. Woodman-Maynard visually depicts a stunning and faithful adaption to a beloved classic.

I can't believe it's been 50 years since we've had Tuck Everlasting in our literary landscape. I've read this story 3 times; once in my teens, later in my 20s, and once more in my 30s in the form of this graphic novel. I didn't expect it to emotionally hit me as much as it did. But the epilogue ... as I write I am overwhelmed with emotion and the weight of choosing to live life as Winnie had. It's such a beautiful story that is translated well to a graphic novel format for a new generation to know, to philosophize, and to keep alive.

I have loved Tuck Everlasting ever since I first read it in fourth grade, so I was SO excited to see a graphic novel being made. THIS DID NOT DISAPPOINT! K. Woodman-Maynard did an amazing job of condensing down the story and she created gorgeous illustrations to match. I will 100% be recommending this edition to anyone I see.

This graphic novel adaptation of Tuck Everlasting is beautiful and true to the original story.

The illustrations are airy with a nostalgic look. The Tuck family look appropriately old-fashioned, situating the story in time from the first page, and the changing setting visually captures the time that has passed since the start of the novel.

The illustrations capture the ominous setting of the middle of the book effectively.

The story is well-preserved here, as the essential words and phrases shine through. I felt like this was more explicitly faithful to the book than many graphic novel adaptations, which I loved. The illustrator does a great job of weaving key narration into the image in a beautiful and readable way.

I really appreciated the illustrator's interview and process notes at the end, which spurred a conversation with my 11-year-old about the way that certain symbols had been used throughout the book. Sometimes I think it is hard to see the difficulty of making a graphic novel like this, but seeing the stack of watercolor images is a powerful last moment, especially given the themes of the book.

A gorgeous adaptation of a timeless story. The watercolor art adds new magic to a beloved classic. A true treasure.

This is a beautiful adaptation of a classic middle grade novel. The colors and the art style really captures the essence of the original book. It is faithful to the original from what I remember when I read it in 5th grade. The nostalgia of reading this graphic novel adaptation makes me want to go back and re-read the original. I love the fabulisum throughout and the way that the idea of living forever is tackled. This graphic novel will be a wonderful introduction to a classic for the younger generations.

What an enchanting graphic novel. A truly wonderful story with wonderful illustration. The narrative mixed in with dialogue was very well done. I really enjoyed that there was a message in the story, but it was weaved into the story and not blatantly the whole plot.

I am a huge fan of Tuck Everlasting--the novel and the musical. I am also a fan of graphic novels, extremely so. Naturally, when I saw this book existed, I jumped at the chance to read it.

The illustrations were perfect. The use of color was so simple, yet so right for this story. It truly felt nostalgic. I especially enjoyed the interwoven narration--using Winnie's inner monologue and 3rd POV narration throughout.

My favorite part of this story will always be Tuck's pseudo-lecture to Winnie on the boat. He explains the life cycle in such a complete way. And the way this iteration portrayed the scene was beautiful and really helped visualize what he was saying. It truly hit.

I first read this book in 5th grade and I loved my own imagining of the Tucks. Getting to see approved versions of the characters with Natalie's input was amazing and beautiful. I loved every second.

Such a beautiful graphic novel! I loved the way that quotes from the original book were incorporated into the illustrations. I'll definitely be getting this one for my school library!
