Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC!
I found this story to be incredibly cute and endearing! The artstyle to the characters to the plot was incredibly fluffy and adorable. I cannot stress enough how adorable I find Marcus and Cog. Their crushes are wholesome and sweet.
Besides the two lovely main characters' budding romance; to the supportive cast of friends and from the flowery, pastel color scheme is very reminiscient of a shoujo manga. Which I enjoyed a lot because of how easy it was to fall in love with the cast of characters and the artstyle.
I can't wait to read the rest of their romance! I need more wholesome fluff of Cog and Marcus in my life.

This was truly a delight of a book. The character designs are impeccable, the art and coloring style is so bright and cheerful, and I love all of the expressions and emotions. The story is light-hearted and sweet, a truly adorable slice of life romance between two slightly awkward teens who are both so down bad but unable to fully let on to it. My only real complaint was that it was over way too fast!

I needed this. Such a sweet lovely story, matched with gorgeous art! I would love more installments of this story- no, i need more right now!

I was unsure about this book at first, the beginning felt a little much. But once the story of Cog and Marcus got moving I was smitten. They are SO cute. I loved that their friendship feels very organic and that they're both very comfortable with the other, minus some teenage embarrassment, jealousy, and over thinking that happens to the best of us. Their crushes are adorable and the way they get to know each other feels very innocent and sweet.I especially love that nothing is rushed, the whole story is heartwarming and the artwork isawesome. I can't wait for volume 2!

absolutely adorable! i was obsessed with the art style?! it was honestly one of my favourite webtoon styles. additionally can we pls just ljsnadskjxo!! these two are so dang cute, Marcus is an absolute golden retriever and Cog just warms my heart.
I like how we didn't move too quickly and everything was paced really well. Kept you engaged without feeling rushed or too insta lovey. thoroughly enjoyed this one!

I had such a blast with this graphic novel! The art is so freaking adorable I was squealing the entire time reading it, and I absolutely LOVED this representation. I've never seen so many characters of color in a manga before!
We're follwoing Markus and Cog as their crush bloom into something great. Between Studying, tutoring, and learning how to communicate, and all the shenanigans that ensue from that.
I'm so excited to see whats next for our budding couple.

Oh, this is beyond adorable and made me giggle the whole time! They're so clueless but not at the same time. Sweetness all around with Marcus just wanting to take care of Cog, especially by making him food! He's smitten and Cog just thinks he's being nice, silly boy. Once they hangout while getting to know each other better, Cog starts to realize what's happening and he starts to be just as smitten. He's also overwhelmed and unsure, poor thing. This does end on a "to be continued" scene, but it's sweet and just makes you want part two like now.
The art is gorgeous and the many characters are diverse and fabulous. It's also full color! Definitely looking forward to how this friendship turns into more in the future and how Cog handles all these new emotions.
I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Super cute, queer and fluffy! For fans of heart stopper and queer romcoms. Low stakes, low angst and low action.
I thought this was a lot of fun, however was clearly adapted from webtoon. I like webtoon but sometimes struggle with the small bite sized portions of story that don’t always have a strong running plot through. Instead of plot points or any kind of angst we really just saw our cute cast of friends and crushes in a few flirty scenarios. Not bad in any way, but not the type of comic I usually reach for. I don’t see myself continuing with this story but I would definitely recomened it to friends looking for something super diverse and adorable!
Thank you Netgally for providing me with the arc of this comic!

This love story was a cute and fairly simple one filled without lgbtqia+ characters that you want to root for. I look forward to more installnents!

It’s a pretty quick slice of life book. I loved that it deviated from the average manga characters. However I do wish there was more development of the characters. I felt things were a bit rushed, and some sections abruptly ended.

Daybreak, is a heart warming, diverse story that follows the budding love story of two boys. I found this book to be wonderful. I love that we get to see two boys following for eachother even with that cliffhanger.

This graphic novel is a cute and light hearted time of two adorable teenager falling for each other. I thought that the characters were fun, cute, and funny. I loved the art style and the amount of visual representation of all the different characters.

this was soon cute and I can't wait read move about them. I want to see them get together soon but at the right time. I really love cog and Marcus so much. the little moments they have together is cute.

Oh this was so perfect! I love the representation throughout the book. The art style is so beautiful and vibrant. I just love Cog and Marcus so much. This little graphic novel made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!!! I will say I didn't like the cliffhanger BUT I realized I could literally go on Webtoon and buy the rest so that's exactly what I'll be doing lol.

Stop omg this story was just too cute!
From the art style to the plot itself, I couldn't help but smile, swoon and giggle more often than I'd like to admit.
Marcus and Cog have the awkward-high-schooler-experiencing-a-crush mode down pat and I enjoyed reading about every feeling and interaction, even the cringeworthy moments. Cog eating paper really showed me how down bad he was for Marcus! And Marcus is literally a sweetheart for offering to make and bring Cog lunch every day! He's definitely a keeper. Kudos to both characters being black boys. I am always here for the black boy joy.
This queer graphic novel was so cute, wholesome and addictive, and although it ended in a cliffhanger, it's definitely something I look forward to continuing!
Highly recommend.
Thank you net galley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group for an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review!

I got an ARC of this book.
This just felt really unfinished. There was little to not character development. I knew so little about any of the characters even after almost 300 pages. Why would I ship them when they don't really have personalities?
It looked like the author was trying to make it appear to take place in Japan. It has the same general school stuff and slice of life plot points as a manga, but it just didn't quiet feel right in that format. It was slower somehow.
I wasn't against the book, but it felt like there wasn't enough here to really be a hook. I will probably try book 2 in the hope there is a bit more substance for the characters.

ADORABLE. I giggled and blushed so much while reading this. There was so much representation! I absolutely loved this story, but GRRRR the cliffhanger made me so mad😭 Thank you NetGalley for this digital arc

I love love lovedddd this! They are so ADORBALE I cannot wait for volume two! The art style, the characters, I need more of it all!!

Daybreak is an incredibly cute and fun graphic novel with characters that are so loveable. The plot is simple and sweet- a slice of life for two teens crushing on each other and navigating that as they grow closer over the course of the book. I think the art is really lovely and the character designs are fun, I especially loved Marcus' outfits out of uniform (the bee themed one? incredible). Will be looking forward to the next installment!

This was stupidly adorable and I loved it. The characters are cute and shy. lt is easy tknsee they like each other but they are in the unsure stage that reads as cute. I loved this. I can't wait for volume 2.
