This was the perfect why choose book. Just when you thought one character fit perfectly with the FMC, another character shows us that they fit with her as well. The strong group of friends our FMC had was refreshing to see, and I loved how, even when she was facing a challenging situation, she remained herself.
One of my favorite books!

Thank you Netgalley for the arc of this book! The absolute cliffhanger this book left off on, I wanted to chuck my kindle across the room. I absolutely loved Rylee's relationship with her friends. And her relationship with the princes of Chaos!? Ahhhh, I need more. NOW

All four of the MMC’s were dreamy in their own way, but I deff choose Kal & Jax as my favorites. I will say this book is HEAVY on the smut, and it focuses mostly on the relationships of Rylee and the four princes and building the story there, I assume the rest of the books in the series will have more plot and further the story outside of their relationships. It never felt boring or slow and was fast paced and kept me interested (hence why I read it in a day). I do wish there wasn’t as big of time jumps in the relationship building portions though, it felt like there could have been more substance there, Kal definitely had the most detailed relationship, the others felt rushed.

I don't really think reverse harem is for me. That being said, I did still enjoy some elements of this book. I felt like the bulk of it dragged on, and we never really got to know the brothers that well. It seemed to me that while she liked all three that Jax was the one she thought about the most. It seemed like they may have even had a stronger connection.
I think it would have been a better story if there was one love interest.
The ending didn't surprise me. I started to suspect it. The ending seemed better than the rest of the story, and I definitely would read more to see how it all ends.

Oh my. This was a wonderfully spicy read. Fast paced. A very easy read. A little predictable, but that's okay. 💜
"I can't help but wonder how everything can be so right in a world that I've never, not once, fit into."
*I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is my honest feedback about the book as an avid reader.*
I really enjoyed getting to know each of the characters as the story goes on, although I wish there was more depth to them & we got more time to really dive deep into each one.
Massive cliffhanger, so very interested to see what the next book holds!
Thank you to the author, & to Entangled for sending my the eARC to read & review through NetGalley! 💜

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
✍🏻 “I think he had to choose you. I think he felt the connection we’ve all felt and couldn’t deny it, almost as if you walked into the party and chose us instead.”
💜 WHY CHOOSE?! GIMME!!! This book was such a great time. I absolutely loved the audiobook, too!
💌 Rylee is at the bottom of the class system, but she’s determined to find her missing sister. She manages to sneak her way into the Choose Ceremony. Her goal: be selected by the Legends and find her sister.
💛 Who are the Legends?
-The Dreamer
-The Mind
-The Player

✍🏻 What do all of these men have in common? Well, they’re hot af. 🥵 I really enjoyed how each of them had their own complex story. Rylee finds herself falling for each of them. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
💜 But what really got me?! THE ENDING. Here I am thinking this was going to be a standalone. FALSE. 😂 The ending had me🫨😧😲🤯😱.
💌 Thank you so much @entangled_publishing for this eARC!

The Never Lost by Jade Presley is about four princes who host a ball every year in hopes to find their one person, their mate. Rylee finds herself at the ball in hopes to experience something new and she certainly did. The story behind this was so different from what I’ve read prior to. The open door spice scenes were absolutely delectable. Anyone who is looking to read a why choose romance and trial based book this is the one for you! I absolutely loved it.

I had planned on doing a pretty picture of this book, something with gem-looking things and a crown or four, but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to show you this.
My copy, the one I poured over, hours, days, rereads, moments of disbelief, joy and sorrow, longing and loss, wanting so much for there to be more and grieving when there wasn't.
This book tied me up in knots, and no, not the kind Jax would enjoy (iykyk) emotional knots; every time I thought they were all safe, I'd look at the book and cringe, seeing how much of the book was left.
Now I will say this book is spicy, but it's the kind of spice I love, where it adds to the story, is necessary to the story, and isn't distracting or thrown in just to be there, it's beautifully written with poise and elegance and just enough of the naughty bits to keep us wanting more.
If you're at all curious about this book read it, it's brilliant and I love it, I've read it four times now and will read it a few more because it seems like each time I read it one of our princes stands out more than the others and it's like reading another book.
The ending, oh, that ending. I ugly cried for the last page and a half, I'm just going to admit it, and kept crying for about a half hour just holding this book.
Thank you to Red Tower and NetGalley for providing an ARC of this beautiful story that will live rent-free in my head for who knows how long; I have voluntarily read and reviewed it, and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a very fun read! I am usually not a why choose kind of girl but something about this one sucked me in. Once I got started I couldn’t put it down, and immediately ordered a shelf trophy once I finished reading.
Very much looking forward to book 2!

What a wild ride! If you’re looking for a new why choose romantasy book that you can just devour (with PLENTY of spice), then The Never List is for you. I couldn’t stop turning the pages!
In The Never List, Rylee may be one of the only women in Lumathyst that doesn’t want to be chosen as the four princes’ potential mate. She goes to the Choosing ceremony anyway in hopes of finding some information about her missing sister, but she accidentally catches the eye of one of the princes and is chosen as the Potential. Her only choice is to go along with the process, passing their tests and spending one month in each of their cities to make them fall in love with her, because the secrets she’s hiding could mean certain death if they’re revealed.
This book was honestly just a great time! It was a little chaotic in the best way and had me rooting for Rylee from page one. I loved each of the princes and how their relationships grew with Rylee in such different ways. I did think there was some inconsistency in pacing at times - I could understand why some princes got more time on the page, but I felt like a couple of them got a little cheated! And it made it harder for me to connect with them as characters. This book was SPICY and those scenes did overwhelm the storyline at times, but sometimes that’s just perfectly fine with me! The ending was wild and had me so stressed for Rylee. I’m going to need this second book ASAP!

This book was one of my most anticipated reads of 2025 and it delivered! Jade did an amazing job with the storyline, the characters, the world building, the mystery, the spice, and with the chemistry between them all! It was so unique in how she got to spend time with everyone, but I feel like it just added that much more substance to her picking them. I was right on some things and now I can't wait for the next one to see how things unfold! I have a feeling it will definitely be worth the wait.

A super quick read, despite the length! This reminded me of a spicier version of The Selection by Kiera Cass. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

This book was absolutely spectacular! Full disclosure I don’t typically read why choose books, but let me reiterate HOW WELL DONE this book was. Previous books where I’ve read “why choose” it’s straight smut from the beginning.. which if that’s your yum go off!
But this book had stellar world development, incredible plot and then the smut was perfectly incorporated!
Rylee the FMC is an Ashlander and is hiding a huge secret; if her secret is discovered she could potentially face execution. Rylee is determined to attend The Choosing in hopes to find out what happened to her sister Erin, who attended last year. With the help of her two best friends Ivy and Layce she is set to attend The Choosing but she has no idea what’s in store for her.
Jax, Axl, Kal and Pierce are The Legends aka The Legends of Chaos. They are the sons of the kings, and their mothers are the goddesses who are currently in slumber. This is the 6th Choosing where the Legends hope to find their singular mate. All the men are swoon worthy but I’m a sucker for Jax 🥵
Highly highly recommend this book! Again I absolutely devoured this book and left no crumbs!

This story is an absolute gem! This is my first time reading a book from Jade Presley, and I will definitely be diving into her blacklist after this! This was such a fun fantasy, with the perfect amount of world building. I didn't feel overwhelmed with the information or feel like I couldn't keep up. She does a fantastic job balancing the world building with the storyline. As for the characters, I absolutely adored Rylee and her men! Rylee is a fighter, she is a survivor, and she'll do anything she has to do to protect those she loves. Jade did a really great job ensuring that each partner got the right amount of time as well. I also think that each guy is unique and strong in his own way that I don't feel like anyone's character gets overshadowed by another. If you're new to reverse harems, this would be the perfect introduction because it eases into it! I'm so excited that this will be a series because I did not want to let these characters go! (Although that cliffhanger was ROUGH!). I can't wait to see what happens next!

This book surprised me about how much I really loved it. A why choose fantasy book with amazing world building and a great storyline is just what the reading community has been looking for and needs to read!! I loved the FMC, she is strong and holds her own and has a great personality. The MLCs are all different but work well together. The ending was awesome and I can't wait to see what happens in this world next!!!

If you are looking for a fast-paced, whirlwind of a why choose romance you've come to the right place!
This story follows an FMC who is in the wrong place at the right time. She struggles to balance her secrets while trying not to fall in love. But perhaps it's love that she actually needs to survive. The male protagonists are certainly swoon worthy and show that finding a mate isn't just class deep.
There is a nice sprinkle of world building, and a smear of political drama. Keep in mind this a smut first plot second kind of book but that doesn't mean there isn't substance to the story!
I enjoyed the overall book and read it in a matter of days so it certainly is binge worthy. I do wish there was a little more substance, it felt like a great balance in the beginning and then hit short towards the end. I can't wait for the next one to come out though!
Be warned this book does end on both a great reveal AND a cliffhanger! So grab your favorite drink or snack and welcome to the choosing!

I cannot even begin to explain how good this book is. It's on another level type good. Seriously, the last books that got me this booked so quickly are ACOTAR and Fourth Wing.
Let's start with the world building. It was done beautifully., I could fully envision the kingdom, all the different cities and their features. It was easy to follow along and I didn't need to check the map 18 times during the story to understand.
The FMC - Rylee- truly incredible. I loved her arc and growth during this book. She's strong, smart, and kicks ass. What's not to love?
The MMCs - Jax, Axl, Kal, and Pierce - I loved how vastly different they were and yet how they all fit perfectly together, like puzzle pieces, to create a bigger picture. Each MMC had their own allure and it's not possible for me to pick a favorite.
THE ENDING - WOW! That's all I can say about that! A part of me is actually disappointed I read this so soon after it's release, because now I have to wait who knows how long for the next one.
Overall - Absolutely a five star read. I can seriously see this becoming a hugely hugely popular read. I can't wait to go along for the ride!

4.5 stars! I really enjoyed this. Not going to lie it did drag on for a little bit in the middle and took me a while to get through but once it picked up I was hooked! Some of the relationships felt rushed, it’s a short book. I wish it was longer so it had more depth. Chapter 42 lives rent-free in my head. I’m still shocked by the ending and I need the next book now! I recommend this if you’re looking for an easy romantasy and if you’re into the “why choose” trope. Even if you are unsure I think this one would be a good one to dip your toes in.

I’m not a huge why choose fan, I won this ARC in a giveaway and thought I would give it a try and I heard so many great things about it. I enjoyed the book and I loved the magic system. It was fast paced in a good way unlike some Romantasy that can drag at points I didn’t get that from this book. Overall I enjoyed it.

The Never List hooked and held my attention with its unique magical system, complex and unique princes and a female main character that I couldn’t help but love. The dynamic of the relationship was each prince has their own portion of the country and the relationships are separate, so if you would like to try a why choose book, this would be a great introduction. This book receives 5 stars however I did think it missed an opportunity of ??. Maybe in the next book. The story led the way with spice throughout but it never took over the plot which I was happy to see.
