Thank you to Red Tower Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own.

WHAT WAS THAT ENDING!? OMG. I haven't read a book that captivated me that deeply in a while. I absolutely struggled to put it down - and this is when I am grateful I have the Kindle app on my phone because every single spare second I had, I was reading this book. I am not a spicy girly in general - there is a time and a place, and I'm sometimes okay with it but it really needs to be secondary to the plot. Considering this book is listed as a Why Choose Romantasy, I still really think that the spice was secondary to the plot, which I loved. I feel like there are many books that try to have this type of vibe and don't get there, so it was really refreshing to be so addicted to reading something I don't normally go for.

The pros of this book for me: Each character was incredibly distinct from the others. There is an extensive world and worldbuilding without feeling like that is all that is happening. There was a plot that pushed me to continue reading because I needed to know what happened. The polyamorous elements were done very tastefully imo. IT HAS MULTIPLE POV but not in a way that is jarring!

The cons: I am nitpicky and all of the things I am upset about are incredibly minor to the plot, but still something I want to note. I am tired of things being considered fantasy because they have y's and x's in the names. The heroine is blond, thin, and beautiful - which fine, but it would be nice to see something different, though the heros did seem to be a bit more diverse which is nice. The book is long and yet certain parts felt like they could have been detailed out more. Does this mean that maybe it could have been 2 books (maybe book one is the Choosing and prince 1 & 2, book 2 is prince 3 & 4 and the everything that happened after) and then the cliffhanger for book 3? Sure, but it isn't the worst thing. I don't feel I was missing anything too much, but it is always nice to feel like things aren't rushed in a 500+ page book.

Overall, I cannot wait to read the second book and everyone should read this yesterday. 10/10

Thank you Entangled Publishing for sharing an early copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This book was pure spice and anxiety - dear god. I adore the Legends and the story was so intense and stressful, and yet I had an amazing time. Just when I thought I predicted something, turns out I was wrong. Definitely a great read.

If anyone needs me too bad, because I AM UNWELL.

Y’all how do I put into words how addictive this book was. I sat down this afternoon with the intent of only reading a couple chapters. Next thing I know I’ve consumed this 500 page book in less than 24 hours. I swear Jade Presley put crack in this book. It’s the only logical explanation I have for why I couldn’t walk away from it this afternoon. And then to end it on CLIFFHANGER. Woman are you trying to torture us. Like I had to go back and re-read the ending to make sure that I did indeed read that correctly the first time. For those wondering I did in fact read it correctly the first time. Y’all my heart, I seriously don’t know how to express the chokehold this book now has on me. And how am I supposed to wait for another year or more until book 2. The struggle is real folks. In terms of a coherent review honestly I’m going to try my best. But have your expectations low just in case.

“The Never List” hooks you right from the beginning. Rylee our MFC is easy to follow along and relate to. She’s smart, kind, funny and loyal. Watching her come into her own as well as flourish with the four Prince’s was so much fun to witness.

Speaking of the 4 Prince’s, did I mention this is a Why Choose book?!?! When I first heard Red Tower was doing one I’ll admit I was nervous cause some of Red Tower’s published works haven’t been my favorite. And I’m particular with my Why Choose. But I’m happy to admit that Jade Presley handled it extremely well. I love that each Prince had their own POV along with Rylee. So we really got to connect and see everyones emotions. The spicy scenes where passionate and intense and I loved every minute of it. To top it off the banter between all of them just took everything over the top.

And for those of you nervous about Why Choose because often times plot gets lost in other books like it. I’m happy to report “The Never List” plot and world building is excellent. The magic system and political structure was unique, interesting and easy to follow. I think my only minor gripe was the reveal towards the end. I 100% saw that coming but trust me I’m not mad in the slightest cause I’m excited to see how that plays out in book 2.

Overall, if you can’t already tell I give this 5 stars and I highly recommend this book. This book is perfect for any Romantasy readers. Especially for those out there looking to dip their toes into why choose romance! Lastly big thank you to Red Tower, Entangled Publishing and Jade Presley for providing me an ARC to read and review. I cannot wait to buy my trophy copy April 1, 2025!

Thanks to entangled publishing for sending me an early eARC copy!

The Never List – Is now on my ALWAYS LIST

It’s rare for a book to pull me in from the very first page, but The Never List did exactly that.

Welcome to Lumathyst, a world where hierarchy is everything. The noble class rules, and crossing into a city above your station comes with severe consequences—enforced by the ruthless kings of Lumathyst. Think The Hunger Games, but with even higher stakes.

The four princes of Lumathyst must find a mate to unlock their full power. Yet, five times during the Choosing Ceremony, they have tried and failed.

Ryley Gray has no interest in being “Chosen.” She sneaks into the Choosing Ceremony with a forged invitation, determined to uncover the truth about her sister’s disappearance. The last thing she expects? To be declared the princes’ potential mate. Now, she must keep her secrets hidden and find a way to survive.

Four princes. One chosen mate. Why settle for one when you can have them all? This why-choose romance is gripping from start to finish.

Jade Presley’s characters are deeply developed—you feel their struggles and triumphs, laugh and cry with them, and truly understand who they are at their core. But what impresses me most is Presley’s world-building. She crafts the intricate cities of Lumathyst with just the right amount of detail—immersing you in the setting without slowing the plot. The subplots are so compelling they could stand on their own.

And let’s talk about the spice. If you love some good smut, The Never List does not disappoint. With a solid 🌶🌶🌶🔥🔥 rating, this book pulls you into a world of power, gods, political intrigue, class struggles, mythology, and self-worth—all while delivering serious heat.

I devoured this book over the weekend and cannot wait for the next installment in the Legends of Chaos series.

RUN, don’t walk, to pre-order The Never List, releasing April 8, 2025. Once you enter this world, you won’t want to leave.

Thank you @redtowerbooks, @jadepresleyauthor, and @NetGalley for this incredible ARC!

WOW. THIS BOOK WAS PHENOMENAL. I absolutely devoured this book in 48 hours. Jade Presley has written a masterpiece.

I cannot wait until book two comes out. Until then I guess I will re-read this over…and over. This book will live rent free in my head until then.

This book had the perfect balance of spice and world building and holy cliffhanger!

Thank you so much to Entangled publishing for being chosen to read this eARC. I look forward to reading more by Jade!

I enjoyed this book. Presley's world-building and magic systems are well-done and intriguing, and I'd like to learn more about them. I hope that will be coming in future books. I actually wished the boko was a bit longer and more descriptive in her visits to each of their cities. I would have liked more detail about how each prince interacts with their people, like the author did in Kal's chapters, and not just "suddenly it's three weeks later". While I figured I knew how the story would end, and figured out one of the twists, it was an enjoyable read and I do look forward to the continuation.

Book Title: The Never List
Author: Jade Presley
Genre: why-chose, romantasy
Release Date: April 1, 2025
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

In a world where nobility rules, a low born female is on the hunt for answers to where her sister has disappeared to. She obtains a forged invitation to “The Choosing” and meets four dark and ominous men - of Legends of Chaos.

Rylee has been forced to keep secrets and hide her demi powers her entire life. Having never imagined or envisioned she will be chosen as the potential mate for the princes when she snuck into The Choosing Ceremony to find answers to where her sister could have disappeared to, now more than ever, Rylee has to be careful and keep her powers concealed. Rylee is forced to navigate her deception, around the princes - Kal, Axl, Pierce, and Jax - as she has to spend time with each of them and undergo tests made by the kings to determine her worthiness.

Jade Presley masterfully crafted a world that is immersive and richly detailed without being overwhelming, striking the perfect balance between depth and accessibility. The setting feels vivid and alive, with just enough complexity to draw readers in without bogging them down in excessive detail. Even more impressive is the character development—as Rylee (the FMC) undergoes meaningful growth, facing challenges that test her own mind and beliefs. Her arc felt natural and well-paced, making her triumphs and struggles deeply engaging. The way Jade Presley weaves world-building and character evolution together creates a story that is extremely compelling, keeping readers invested from start to finish.

I adore a good why-chose book and absolutely loved this book and have to give it a well-deserved 5⭐️! It kept me hooked from start to finish - even though it left me aching for the next installment, desperate to know what happens next, I can’t help but admire how perfectly it was written. If bribing the author for a sneak peek were an option, I’d be seriously considering it! Until then, I’ll be re-reading my favorite moments and counting down the days until the next book arrives.

Thank you to Entangled Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Why Choose, but really why do you have to choose? The Never List is a fast paced, high intensity novel about Rylee and the four princes she needs to win over. The premise, the action and the world are not of your typical why choose that follow a formula where you know how this is going to go. Rather, The Never List is engaging for the reader, throwing a ton of twists and turns around the bend, where you never really know who the villain is, and you get lulled into a false sense of security, only to have that ripped away. Rylee is as strong of an FMC as they come, and the prices are not as they seem. There is something amiss with everything going on, and it is not easy to tell what or where it is coming from.

As someone who does not like why choose at all, I DEVOURED this book. It is so well written, and I really enjoyed that while the why choose was the premise of the story, it did not overshadow the world building, or the overarching story. Our FMC is allowed to remain strong without having to change who she is at her core. My list of favorites changed with every chapter, and our MMCs were mysterious and complex. The twist at the end was wholly unexpected, and I loved every second of having my heart ripped out. The only thing I hope to see more of is the actual Never List, which is a point that remains a mystery. 10/10 I highly recommend giving this a read even if why choose isn’t your thing.

Thank you Entangled and Red Tower for the opportunity to read this one early!

It has been a while since I’ve read a good adult fantasy with lots of slice. The Never List did not disappoint. From the first few chapters I knew I was hooked and I knew I’d hate the cliffhanger. Turns out I was right. The world building was great, easy to follow and understand. The spice was always on point and steamy. The drama ooooo the drama! I would have given this book a five out of five but I felt the build up to Jax’s time and Rylee winning him over was so short compared to the long build up I wanted more fight and probably more spice. The ending felt like four different conclusions. But there was always another chapter. I felt the author wasn’t sure where to add the cliff hanger and how to stop. I look forward to reading the next one!

Magic and why choose, this book was so well written. The romance aspect is so beautifully written, the magic angle keeps you guessing to the end the who and why, and the ending cliffhanger is surely going to be the death of me before I have book 2 in hand. I loved every single one of these characters. You have the charming boy, the cocky boy, the adventurous boy, and the broody boy all wrapped up in one place and a strong, fierce, independent female lead. I can’t rave enough about this one. This is definitely a top romantasy recommendation from me!

Are you ready for a world where you can have ALL the heroes?
Once a year Four Princes seek to find their mate.

I loved the world building. The character and plot arcs were easy to follow, filled with plenty of tension, angst, and the heat...it's an inferno.

Ruby, sapphire, emerald, obsidian...4 gems, 4 princes, 4 Legends of Chaos. And they all have one goal: her. ❤️💙💚🖤

Oh my gosh, I am utterly speechless after reading The Never List. I swear, I read it in 2 days, and would have read it in one if I didn't have to "work". When I finished it, I just stared at a wall and disassociated for approximately 2 hours. The ending?! The cliffhanger?! The To Be Continued?! My heart can't take it Jade😭

I feel I cannot give a coherent review right now because I am still trying to form my thoughts after this book made me lose all sense of the world. I mean, how am I supposed to just sit here and try to read any other books? I just have to sit here, twiddling my thumbs until Book 2 releases.

This is the PERFECT book for those out there looking for a smutty, why choose romance! A great recommendation for those who enjoy Jasmine Mas and Fifty Shades of Grey. And once you read it, please message me so we can geek out over it!

This book had me in a chokehold from the first page and it’s been a while since I’ve been so hooked on a book that I had to read it ALL at once (glad I started it on a day I didn’t have any plans!). This book follows Rylee and the four princes of Lumathyst as they explore whether Rylee is their mate. There’s spice, drama, secrets and lies… I couldn’t consume this book fast enough. Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the eARC.

ARC REVIEW: The Love Haters by Katherine Center
Release Date - May 20, 2025
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved this one!! A one day read because I could not put it down!
A love story not only between two people, but between a woman and herself.
Katherine Center has a way of beautifully working real life lessons into her stories and this one is no different.
Katie has to impress her boss enough to get her name off the growing list of people being fired while also learning to love herself again.
The relationships in The Love Haters are so real and vast. Friendships new and old, and of course, a developing love that must stand the rough waters of the hurricanes life throws our way 😜

To say I screamed and fan girled when I was given the opportunity to read this ARC is an understatement. Thank you so much @katherinecenter

You might need to grab this one if you like why choose, forced proximity, steam and spice, banter all the banter, secrets that get you into trouble, fated mates.

I’m going to preface this review by saying that going into The Neverlist I had absolutely no doubts that I would like it, it was just a matter of how much, because I absolutely adore Jade Presley and her writing - and now I can say I absolutely ADORE The Neverlist.

This book was funny, It was filled with banter, it was filled with steam, and spice and if you read this; honestly I need to know who your favourite is because I absolutely struggle to choose. Which I suppose is the point of why choose. I could not put this book down and I’m already thinking about restarting it so it’s a good thing I have the physical book preordered so I can crack that open the second it gets here.

I loved that it had a good mix of story and spice, and that the attitude of the characters blew me away, the MMCs were incredible. When I got to the end of this book, I slammed down my kindle and angrily stared into the space in front of me, because how could this book be over, and then immediately went to message Brittany because if I’m suffering, she needs to suffer with me.

An incredible thank you to Redtower for the gifted copy, all thoughts and opinions are my own

A solid 5 star read. I picked this book up earlier today and have no put it down. I read this book straight thru beginning to end. I got to the end and couldn't believe I finished the whole thing because I just NEEDED more.

I will absolutely be waiting on the sequel whenever it is headed our way. And I've got the special edition on pre-order coming my way.

This book destroyed me in all of the best and worst ways. I’m sad that I’m limited to 5 stars for a top rating too as this one deserves more than that. I was enthralled from the very beginning and was unable to care about anything other than this story. Learn from my mistakes & don’t start this until you’re truly prepared for an intense reading session; have snacks & water on hand so you don’t have to stop. I read the entire thing in less than 6 hours.

Rylee just wants to find her sister, while hiding her powerful secret that could cost her everything if discovered. The only way she can think to get answers about her sister’s disappearance lies in the royal library…and the only way into that is to sneak into the Choosing ceremony. She has zero interest in attracting the attention of the horrible Legends of Chaos, the four royal princes, let alone being shared amongst them for their sexual pleasure. But we all know that when you have zero interest in something, it’s the most likely outcome right?

Enter the Legends of Chaos, each with utterly devastating powers and a carefully crafted image. But appearances can be deceiving and Rylee has to choose whether to follow her heart or listen to what has been ingrained in her psyche since birth.

This is a very spicy why-choose with a heart stopping cliff hanger, so be warned. It’s also probably the best book I’ve read in the last year. Red Tower Books just keeps releasing books that own my soul…and this one will live rent free in my head for a very very long time.

Thank you so much to Red Tower books, Entangled Publishing, NetGalley and the Entangled Insiders group for early digital access to this title. I’ve had the physical copy on preorder since last June and I cannot wait to add the physical trophy to my shelves.
