Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for this amazing book!
Just finished The Never List by Jade Presley and I am in shock!
The ending has me reeling! How am I going to stand the wait for book 2?
I need it now!
You must read this book! You will fall in love with Rylee, Jax, Kal, Axl, and Pierce.
Jax (the Nightmare), Kal, Axl, and Pierce - all so gifted and loveable. And Rylee - oh how you will find yourself captivated by her growing bond with each of her mates.

I absolutely devoured this in one day!!! 🤩
So well written and kept you hooked from the beginning!

OMG ABSOLUTELY AMAZING WHY CHOOSE! I loved everything about this book, perfect story, wonderful world building, excellent spice and amazing characters! Definitely a must read !!

I loved this book! It was so so so good and I can’t believe that I have to wait for the next one!! I am begging for it to come out tomorrow 🤭

I lovedddddd this book!!! I loved that we got to spend time with each of the men individually as well as as a whole group. The story was fast paced and so exciting. I could not stop reading and I can’t wait until the next book

I loved this book! I could not put it down!
My only complaint is I wish it was longer because I wanted for details/scenes in each place.
If you like spicy books with some fantasy elements then this book is for you.
I will definitely be reading the next book in the series!

Rylee will do anything to find her missing sister, even if that means risking her life. When Rylee goes to the Choosing, she is just supposed to avoid the princes, but when that doesn't work out, she has to find a way to survive.
This is why choose story where each of the men bring something to the table. Most of the story is about her getting to know each of the princes how her relationships are different with each of them. There is political strife, pressure from the kings, and Rylee's own internal battles.
I really enjoyed this book. The author does a great job of bringing out the personalities of each of the characters, the banter between the princes, the spice and angst between Rylee and the guys, etc. This was easily one of my favorite reads of the year so far and I look forward to reading the next book in the series when it comes out!

A scorching, emotionally charged romantasy that blends high-stakes fantasy with unapologetic heat. With four-pepper, open-door spice and an irresistible cast of dangerously alluring fae, The Never List is the kind of book readers will devour in one sitting. Rylee’s grit and the Legends of Chaos’ magnetic pull create explosive chemistry, all building toward a cliffhanger that leaves you breathless. Perfect for fans of ACOTAR and Bonded by Thorns who like their fantasy sizzling and their romance unrestrained.
Huge thanks to Entangled Publishing and Jade Presley for the ARC!

An excellent why choose romantasy with spice, intrigue, and even a dash of coziness. 4 🌟s
“By agreeing to participate in the Choosing, you are giving enthusiastic consent to intimate acts with one or all four of the Legends of Chaos if chosen as a mate.”
Rylee Grey has exhausted available resources to find her missing sister. Her last chance is to sneak into the royal palace and see if her sister’s name is on the Never List- a list of all those deemed a threat to the kingdom. Attending the Choosing ceremony as a possible mate to the Legends offers Rylee her only real opportunity to get inside the palace and see the list. Rylee never expects to be chosen as the Potential. However, she has no choice but to participate and play the game once she is or she risks losing everything.
“But this? This was unrestricted need. This is pure carnal pleasure. This is chaos.”
Rylee is a tenacious, feisty, and compassionate FMC. Even when attempting to play the necessary political games, she has a hard time hiding her true feelings. And the Legends come to adore her for this. I loved the difference in personalities of the Legends and how each one brought a different feeling to their time with Rylee.
I felt like the story did a very good job of staying true to a why choose romantasy but still having a decent plot and reason for the story to move forward. Was there spice and smut? Absolutely. As there should be. But the story didn’t completely devolve into continued debauchery with no rhyme or reason. The story does move fast at times, but I personally prefer speed compared to a story stalling or stagnating. The ending definitely leaves you staring at the wall or wanting to throw your book. Either way, you’ll be anxiously anticipating the next release.

I could not put this book down! It’s definitely worth the hype. The pacing, plot, and character development were great and I can’t wait for the next installment in the series! A why-choose fantasy romance where the fmc is thrown into high stakes (life or death) circumstances and has to convince 4 princes to fall in love with her to live long enough to find her missing sister.

This was such an addictive read! I loved diving into Rylee’s story as she sneaks into The Choosing to search for her missing sister, only to be caught in the dangerous attention of four powerful princes. The chemistry, banter, and tension between Rylee, Kal, Axl, Jax, and Pierce had me hooked from the start. The world-building was vivid without feeling overwhelming, and I appreciated how the story balanced action, romance, and secrets so well. While the spice level was high, it never overshadowed the emotional connection growing between the characters. The cliffhanger at the end left me desperate for book two! If you love fast-paced, steamy romantasy with a why-choose twist, this one’s a must-read.

I finished this last night, and I sat staring at the wall after I finished. When is book 2 coming out?! I need more!
I am really picky when it comes to why choose and spice in the books I read. This one was the perfect amount of both for me! There was a plot to go along with the spice, which is another factor I always look for. I devoured this book!
I am longing for more! More of the princes and our girl Rylee! Such a great read!

The premise of this book really pulled me in. Within a few chapters in this book- I knew this book would be a favorite. I could not put it down!! It was a fast paced read and I was just so pulled into the mystery behind the four princes. Rylee is looking for her sister. She attends a Royal Ceremony called, The Choosing, where the four princes of Lumathyst are picking a mate to help secure the throne. Ryle is attending with no interest in this just wanting to find answers of what happened to her sister. However, she ends up dancing with a masked stranger and there is an undeniable pull to one another. She is picked by this stranger to be the next mate for the four princes. She will spend a month with each of the princes getting to know their countries and life with the prince. I loved the way the story unfolded and the time spent with each prince. This story has a little bit of mystery, magic, fated mates, secrets and deception that was just addicting! Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, this didn’t do it for me so I’m not going to continue reading, but I could see a lot of romance readers enjoying this! If you enjoy Stephanie Garber but want something more adult/new adult or you like steamy why choose romances but want to dip your toes into fantasy, this could be for you. For me, however, it just wasn't it.
The beginning was interesting- what's this mysterious ball with masks? And I found her initial attraction to Jax well done. But when Rylee was chosen to be their potential mate, it went down hill for me.
This book felt like it really just wanted to be a why choose erotica but someone told the author to make it fantasy. The fantasy was very lacklustre and confusing. I found myself repeatedly asking, "Why is this a fantasy??" because we had very little info on how the magic system worked, what the hell the Never List was (which, I also hated that that was the name...), how the Princes' magic worked... It was a lot but also not enough.
The pacing was really weird to me. We had several chapters for one night, but then we would skip WEEKS so she could go stay with another of the princes. Also, as if they were all going to have sex that quickly, and after she was like, "You're not going to force me to do anything?" Really? You're still going to have a threesome on the like first or second day you're with them? There's nothing wrong with that if she was fine with it, but it just didn't make sense with earlier stuff in the book and she barely even spoke to the second guy! The insta-lust/insta-love was way too much for me. Some more tension and yearning would have made this so much more effective and the sex scenes would have been earned and way more enjoyable to read. (When the water prince, whatever his name was, shot water at her private parts, I stopped reading. It was so over the top and cheesy. I don't want to be grossed out/laughing during a MFM scene...!)
The sub-plot with her sister wasn't that effective in my opinion, either. From the beginning Rylie is like, 'we're not that close, she probably just left and is living her best life' and then all of a sudden she feels the need to check some private, restricted documents (that she can just pluck off a shelf during the ball somehow??) and is like, 'hmmm, maybe something is up?' when she doesn't see her name on the list?
There were a lot of little 'plot' ideas that didn't need to be there: Rylie's sister, her weird toxic situationship with that guard at the beginning, the rebels, Rylie and her friends' secret powers, Rylie lying about her identity, the Goddesses and the Kings, the Princes and the whole 'perfect mate' thing... Too much. Let's pick 2 tops for this why choose romance with 4 love interests.

“With the previous potentials, it was all formulaic, strategic on both sides. But this? This is unrestricted need. This is pure carnal pleasure. This is chaos.”
This story was such a delicious read. Once I started, I couldn’t put it down. While it is a romantasy, but definitely has a major focus on the romance part (not that I’m complaining). The majority of the book is spent developing the relationships between Rylee & the Lords of Chaos while also building the world. As the first book in the series, The Never List does a great job of introducing the characters, world, & plot and setting the series up for future adventures.
"I had to choose you. I needed to choose you. There was no stopping it. And the second the words came out of my mouth, I knew I'd damned us. Not because of what you're hiding from me, butterfly, but because of what I'll do for you if you're really mine."
To say I’m obsessed with the Lords of Chaos is an understatement. I love how different they all are and how they each form a unique relationship with Rylee. Rylee is great FMC. I love how her reluctance to be chosen is portrayed and how she is not a weak character. She doesn’t easily give in and won’t play the damsel in distress. The chemistry between Rylee & her Lords is *chef’s kiss*.
“It will consume me if I let it. It will send me into absolute madness if I allow it, but wouldn't it be such a sweet way to go?”
Overall, this was such a great start to what is sure to be an amazing new series. I need book two now, pretty please, Jade.

Pick this up if you love:
- why choose/reverse harem (4 princes)
- spicy romantasy
- instant attraction/fated mates
- mating trials
- multiple POV
Overall, really good romantasy. My one complaint is that the attraction felt a bit too instantaneous. There is a MAJOR cliffhanger at the end. Can't wait for book 2!

The perfect book that got me out of my reading slump!
I received this ARC through Entangled (thank you!) and feel so lucky to have read this book. I hope this book becomes so popular so that I have tons of people to talk with about this story.
Why choose one when you can have them all? Rylee wasn’t looking to join The Choosing, but we learn about the four princes and all the spice that comes along with wooing four royals. It’s not all about their bedroom (and other places) spicy activities, but there are four kingdoms and places to visit, learn about and plenty of adventure and action. So many questions that keep me flipping the pages to learn more about.
When I tell you about the ending- well I won’t because that would ruin the fun, but WOW it was so unexpected. I’m dying for the next book already!

Oh my gosh. So that was a surprisingly spicy book. An emotional but strong FMC “different from other girls.” MMCs in 4 different flavors of chaotic prince (but not to her). The plot wasn’t really the point so I won’t get into it. Just read it for a good time! And don’t say I didn’t warn ya 🔥

The Never List was a quick read with lots of page turning moments and a fun cast of characters. This book had a lot of potential but didn’t quite hit the mark for me. In so many places I just felt like I wanted more. I wanted to spend more time with each of the princes and get to know them better before Rylee is introduced to them. I also felt like we could have spent more time getting to know Rylee and learn about her living situation and her friends.
Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC.

Not me immediately falling the the intellectual one 😂Pierce and his “darlings” can get it all day.
Four stars because I feel like we were off to a super interesting start and then we went all smut no plot and then it came back around to end in a cliffhanger. I’ll definitely pick up the second one though.
