The perfect book that got me out of my reading slump!

I received this ARC through Entangled (thank you!) and feel so lucky to have read this book. I hope this book becomes so popular so that I have tons of people to talk with about this story.

Why choose one when you can have them all? Rylee wasn’t looking to join The Choosing, but we learn about the four princes and all the spice that comes along with wooing four royals. It’s not all about their bedroom (and other places) spicy activities, but there are four kingdoms and places to visit, learn about and plenty of adventure and action. So many questions that keep me flipping the pages to learn more about.

When I tell you about the ending- well I won’t because that would ruin the fun, but WOW it was so unexpected. I’m dying for the next book already!

Oh my gosh. So that was a surprisingly spicy book. An emotional but strong FMC “different from other girls.” MMCs in 4 different flavors of chaotic prince (but not to her). The plot wasn’t really the point so I won’t get into it. Just read it for a good time! And don’t say I didn’t warn ya 🔥

The Never List was a quick read with lots of page turning moments and a fun cast of characters. This book had a lot of potential but didn’t quite hit the mark for me. In so many places I just felt like I wanted more. I wanted to spend more time with each of the princes and get to know them better before Rylee is introduced to them. I also felt like we could have spent more time getting to know Rylee and learn about her living situation and her friends.

Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC.

Not me immediately falling the the intellectual one 😂Pierce and his “darlings” can get it all day.

Four stars because I feel like we were off to a super interesting start and then we went all smut no plot and then it came back around to end in a cliffhanger. I’ll definitely pick up the second one though.

The Never List
By Jade Presley

What if your country was ruled by four Kings who put you into classes and a Never List? Somehow Rylee Gray from Ashland a desolate part of Lumathyst is able to travel borders and with the help of her best friend get onto the list for the ball to meet the four Legend of Chaos princes. They need a mate and the previous five women have failed so what makes Rylee thing that she is THE ONE who will accept them all? Rylee is also trying to find out what happened to her sister Erin who disappeared after being put on the Never List.

One she meets Kal Erhart, Axl Dawson, Pierce Bertrand and Jax Lavine can she stay with them in their lands for a month each and accept each as her true mate? With it be enough to live through the Anthanry Ceremony? It does end in a cliffhanger and the wait for the next book in the series is very long.

Thank you to Net Galley and the author for allowing me to read the e-copy of the Never List.

First, thank you so much to Entangled Publishing for the eARC! What a ride! I haven’t read a Why Choose in probably 14 years and nothing compared to this. I had the best time though! I was not ready for it to end, especially not on that huge cliffhanger! I’ll definitely be anxiously awaiting book 2.

Am I a reverse harem girlie? No. But this was so tastefully done and fun and there was SO much plot. I honestly forgot about the fact that this was a reverse harem until like the last 75%. I fell in love with the story and I honestly think the cliffhanger has to be illegal in at least 12 countries. I'll be dying everyday awaiting book 2.

This was my first why choose trope, and oh boy that was...sinful. I felt just as conflicted as Rylee when she met all of her potential mates.
I loved the jewel colored themes for each prince. I don't know why that made the story more vivid and memorable for me, but it did. It helped me keep track of these incredibly good looking men vying for my attention.
The suspense surrounding Rylee's secret she's trying to keep from the men was perfection. This plot was a masterpiece! I cannot wait to read more Jade Presley novels!

I crushed this book! I love why choose romance so I was very excited to jump into this one. This was an easy read full of action, romance, unique magic, and interesting characters. From the start we jump right in with main character Rylee trying to find out what happened to her sister. So she enters the Choosing, a night where the four Legends try to find their true mate so they can complete their magic. Rylee never expected to be chosen, but once she is she must complete the choosing or risks all of her secrets being exposed.

For me the characters were the best part of this book. Rylee is strong, sassy, and isn't afraid to say what she thinks. I loved seeing her interactions and relationships with the four MMC's, especially as we begin to learn more about them. I will say I wish we had more page time with the other MMC's after Rylee finishes her month in Kal's city. There are big time jumps in the next three months so I feel like we didn't get as much time to flesh out some of the MMC's. But from what we did get I loved how different they are from each other while also balancing each other out.

Overall this story is more character and romance driven. It focuses on Rylee forming strong relationships with the Legends and while fast paced and easy to follow, the plot mixed in is interesting. I'm really hoping to see more of the mystery in the next book. Especially after that ending! So much happened in the last 5% and now I definitely need the next book asap!

Okay, so they said the Choosing was a gift.
They forgot to mention the part where it’s actually a deadly, no-way-out, magic-soaked, reverse harem bloodsport. Cute!

This book? Wrecked me—in the best way. We’ve got four rulers (yes, four, because apparently one love interest is for cowards), and they are monsters wrapped in royalty, all sharp teeth, ancient power, and intense “mine” energy. And somehow, they’re all obsessed with her—the girl who wasn’t even supposed to be there.

Each prince wants to break her, claim her, maybe even ruin her. And honestly, she’s not just surviving it—she’s thriving. (Well, emotionally crumbling and definitely in danger, but still… thriving.)

This book is for the girlies who want danger, seduction, betrayal, and a whole lot of primal energy. No escape. No salvation. Just one girl, four deadly men, and pleasure sharp enough to draw blood.

Highly recommend. Will I be re-reading certain scenes? Mind your business.

High on smut, and no need to choose. The Never List is a fast-paced why choose romance where Riley is chosen as mate potential for four powerful princes. No others have made it through the process in previous years and Riley wasn't supposed to be chosen in the first place. In order to survive, she has to make the four princes fall for her, choose them in turn, and survive a trial.

The book is broken into sections spent in each of the prince's four kingdoms where Riley has to open up and win the princes over. I liked how different the princes and their kingdoms were. It felt like some princes got more page time than others, which was frustrating, but I totally understand that you can't have an 800 page book. The smut was extra spicy.

I do wish there had been more time devoted toward the plot itself, but with the cliffhanger ending, here's to hoping we'll get more of that in the sequel!

I received an e-copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley! My review is honest and my own.

Wow! I was totally invested in this story. The fantasy world of the Never List had me intrigued and wanting more (the book is more spice driven than anything else). The spice driven nature is to be expected, especially when the back cover simply says "You're Invited to the Choosing... Where you could win the heart of not just one prince but four" and the front cover "why choose one when you can have them all?" Speaking of the cover: the design on this cover, end pages, and edges is so well done. So pretty when you hold it in person and the character art on the end pages is stunning.

The character development is solid with efforts made to demonstrate connections formed beyond physical intimacy. More often than not I thought those emotional and intellectual connections were more often told than shown except in the instance of one prince in particular. Rylee Gray was a bit more experienced and less damsel in distress in comparison to other romantasy heroines which I greatly appreciated. I thought each prince was developed individually and had a unique voice.

The plot was predictable but what world building did take place kept me invested and I will definitely be reading the next installment. This is one of those books that is meant for an escapism and a good time and it met the mark. I finished it in one day.

Rylee enters the selection, a place Ashlanders like herself are not welcome, to find out what happened to her sister, Erin. The legends of chaos choose her, and the plan is for her to spend a month in each of their cities and to be tested before the final one. The first up on the tour is Kal, and she sees glimpses of her sister. As she travels to the other cities, she finds herself growing closer to the guys, but can she trust them with her secrets? Mirren is a good companion and constant. Jax is well on his way to becoming my favorite, but I really like that she got to spend alone time with each do the guys to grow their bonds. I can definitely say I wasn’t expecting that ending and can’t wait for the next book.

Holy moly!!! This was a super spicy book! I don't typically read books this spicy so when I first started reading it I was clutching my pearls. However, as I got more into the plot I did strat to enjoy this. We follow Rylee who is a demi-god who is chose for a trial to become the fated mate for four princes. If Rylee is able to survive the transformation then she will become immortal. However, Rylee is hiding her own secrets that, if discovered by the princes, will put her in danger. If you enjoy a lot of spice and a little court intrigue then i highly recommend picking this up. This ended on a great cliffhanger and I can't wait to pick up book two.

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the advance readers copy in exchange for an honest review. These thoughts are my own.

The Never List delivers a romantasy, reverse harem, why choose adventure, a bold cast of characters, a little magic, and an ending that will have you craving for the next book. If you liked The Broken Bonds series by J. Bree, then you'd like this. The Never List is a bingeable, fast paced read. Spicy, you ask? Absolutely.
The setting (Lumathyst; kingdom) was interesting, along with the differences in classes (gave me 'The Selection' vibes) I thought the Choosing (exchange of the pin) was a unique addition to entering a trial-like competition, but the ultimate goal is to find her sister and capture the hearts of The Legends of Chaos.

While I did enjoy this story, I felt as though the urgency Rylee felt to find her sister at the beginning was overshadowed by her need to get Axl, Kat, Pierce, and Jax to fall in love with her. Each character was unique. The Legends of Chaos are sexy (hubba hubba), but not as scary as I initially thought they'd be. There was depth and vulnerability to them that was more attractive than just a dimpled smile or a six pack. I really like Kal! I think he was my favorite! But ladies, there's a scene when she's with Axl... it melted my romantic heart. It felt so raw and authentic it gave butterfly feelings. (swoon)

Rylee, the MFC, is adventurous, daring, a little ballsy, but has a secret. And as the story unfolds and the relationships grow, and the tensions get higher, then Bam! Plot twist! Yep, I need book 2 now!

Overall, I really enjoyed The Never List, and I'll definitely be reading the next book.

Thank you Entangled/Red Tower books for the digital review copy.

This book was such a fun surprise! The Never List is a spicy romantasy with a strong female lead, a reverse harem twist, and just enough mystery to keep things interesting. It follows Rylee, a demi-goddess in hiding who enters a royal Choosing Ceremony to find out what really happened to her sister—but instead ends up being claimed by four immortal princes. And yes, it’s as dramatic and delicious as it sounds.

The princes all have distinct personalities (and vibes), and the chemistry between them and Rylee is fire. I loved how she didn’t immediately fall head over heels—she’s smart, guarded, and emotionally complex, which made her easy to root for. The romantic tension was well done, with a nice balance of slow-burn and heat.

The world-building was intriguing, though I would’ve loved a bit more depth in places. Sometimes it felt like the story leaned more on the romance than the fantasy, but that didn’t take away from the enjoyment. The pacing kept me engaged, and I flew through it in a few sittings.

If you’re into reverse harem, strong heroines, magical trials, and steamy scenes, definitely give this one a shot. It’s the kind of book that doesn’t take itself too seriously—but still gives you all the feels.

This book had me hooked from beginning to end, and I cannot wait to see what comes next! Watching the dynamics unfold between Rylee and all 4 princes, separately and together, was such a delight. I often find RH stories to be gratuitous and overdone, but Jade Presley created the perfect balance of plot intrigue and character growth while building meaningful interpersonal relationships.

Why choose, reverse harem with 4 powerful morally grey men. Need I say more? 😆

This was a ride 🥵 I think it was by far the spiciest book I’ve ever read and there was definitely more action 👀 than plot. And I loved it 🤣

I must say, there definitely is a story here! It’s not just filler pages in between spicy scenes. Buttttt the spice does take the first place haha. But so hot. My god.

"𝐼𝓈 𝒾𝓉 𝓈𝒶𝒻𝑒?"
"𝐼𝓃 𝓂𝓎 𝒽𝒶𝓃𝒹𝓈? 𝒴𝑜𝓊'𝓇𝑒 𝒶𝓁𝓌𝒶𝓎𝓈 𝓈𝒶𝒻𝑒."

Is it a bit predictable? Sure. But with a story this addictive, I honestly don’t really care 😇 I do think the story could have been even better if the challenges had been better developed. It was sometimes too easily overcome in my opinion. Give me more danger, more suspense. I mean I do think it’s a good sign when people (me) want your book to be longer than it already is, no? 😆

"𝐼 𝒸𝒶𝓃'𝓉 𝓉𝑒𝓁𝓁 𝒾𝒻 𝓈𝒽𝑒'𝓈 𝑔𝑜𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝑜 𝓀𝒾𝓈𝓈 𝒽𝒾𝓂 𝑜𝓇 𝒷𝒾𝓉𝑒 𝒽𝒾𝓂 𝓉𝑜 𝒹𝓇𝒶𝓌 𝒷𝓁𝑜𝑜𝒹, 𝒷𝓊𝓉 𝑒𝒾𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝓌𝒶𝓎, 𝐼'𝓂 𝓈𝑜 𝒻𝓊𝒸𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝒾𝓉."

The 4 Legends of Chaos hold a Choosing each year in search for their one true mate. This is a girl who’s strong enough for the four of them. Together. (Yes, you’re imagining that correctly)

The potential must stay with each of the Legends for a month to get to know them, hopefully receive their token and choose them in the end where she will face a final challenge in becoming immortal and unlock the Legends’ full power. So far, none of the potentials have stayed longer than the first month.

This year, The Nightmare will choose. And when he sees Rylee, his decision is made. But Rylee isn’t even supposed to be at the event… Will the Legends see her for the fake she is? Or is she more than she thinks?

Beware: it ends on a major cliffhanger.

Read if you like:
- why choose
- reverse harem
- magical power
- betrayal
- secret identity
- fated mates
- so much spice

I have been waiting to get my hands on this book since May of last year and it did not disappoint. Rylee is such a fierce FMC and I loved her sass and her not having a filter. Her interaction with each of the 4 princes was so fun and I couldn’t get enough. There’s a decent amount of spice that I really enjoyed. Each of the prince’s had their own unique personality and I loved how differently they all interacted with each other and Rylee. I would have loved to see more of Jax but since there are more books to come, I will just not so patiently wait for the next one. That ending was just… I have no words.
