If you are looking for a great RH Fantasy look no further! This is a top book of the year for me, it blew my expectations away. I'd give the spice a 4/5, RH tends to have more scenes and these do not disappoint. What trope are you looking for because this has most! Grumpy/sunshine, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers and no pregnancy trope! There is great banter between the characters and enough plot lines to keep you on your toes. The magic system is thoughtfully crafted and explained.
When Rylee enters a gala with the chance to be selected as the mate to four handsome demi-gods, or Legends, she thinks she can sneak in and out undetected. Little does she know she gained the attention of the most dangerous of them. Rylee must now pretend to be the perfect mate for each of them or face death as consequence for sneaking into the gala in the first place. Rylee must spend a month in each of their cities getting to know them, their frightening power, and their people. No other selected has made it past the first month. Will Rylee survive the challenges each of Legend with her heart intact? At the end of her four months with the Legends Rylee has the chance to take a deadly test to prove her worth to their mothers, the Goddesses of the realm who are currently sleeping to protect their citizens. If she passes it will grant the Legends their full powers.

I’m not a big fantasy romance reader but I couldn’t turn down a chance to start with a new series from Entangled. It also happens to be my first “why choose” romance. I actually had to look up the definition for this sub-genre to understand the fit. Rylee Gray has secrets. She comes from one of the lowest castes in the kingdom but she sneaks her way into choosing. It is there that the Legends of Chaos, who are the four princes of the four kingdoms, choose a mate. It is one mate for all of them to share. None of the ones who have been chosen before have survived the challenge.
Each prince is a son of a goddess and has unique powers. And if Riley is chosen she will spend a month with each hoping to earn the title of mate. Riley is smart, kind and loyal. The princes each have their own personalities and are used to the idea they are bound to each other. Riley needs to win them over individually. This is also a book with a lot of spice. I would not call it erotica, but connecting with each prince is done physically as well as emotionally. And if there is one downside for me it is how instantly Riley is professing her love for each. Almost before she knows them.
I enjoyed the story and world building. With over 400 pages I was never bored or thought things were being stretched. And the last page left me hoping there is not a long wait for the next book in the series.

After reading the first few chapters I didn't know if I could finish. I kept going and now I cannot wait until the next book is out. This will probably be one of my top read of 2025.
The Legends of Chaos choose Rylee without knowing what she is. She holds her ground during all the tests put in front of her and I am impatiently waiting for the next book.

So picture this: you’re living your perfectly average life, vibing with your coffee and trauma, when suddenly—you’re yeeted out of reality and straight into a palace full of ridiculously hot princes who insist you’re their magical soulmate-slash-savior.
Honestly? I’ve been manifesting this for years, and yet it happened to Rylee Gray instead of me. Rude.
✨ The Never List by Jade Presley ✨ is what happens when “oops, I’m the chosen one” collides with “oops, I accidentally collected a harem of beautiful royal disasters.” And yes, I devoured every single page like it was the last cinnamon roll at brunch.
Rylee is that girl—sarcastic, resourceful, mildly feral, and entirely done with everyone's nonsense. Watching her navigate a castle full of emotionally confused princes was like watching The Bachelor: Fantasy Edition, but with better dialogue and actual stakes.
And the princes? Whew. Walking red flags in various flavors—moody, broody, golden retriever-y—but somehow, you’ll want to keep them all. It’s giving “why choose?” in the most chaotic, magical way.
Did the pacing sprint like it was late for its own coronation? Yes.
Did I care? Not even a little. I was too busy swooning and mentally booking a one-way portal to this kingdom.
If you’re into:
Reverse harem hijinks
Magical fated-mate drama
Found family vibes
Enemies to "okay fine I love you"
Banter so good it should be illegal
Trust me, this book needs a spot on your TBR. It’s got everything: cozy moments, chaotic twists, spicy scenes, and just the right amount of unhinged energy to keep you hooked.
Final thoughts: I laughed, I blushed, I may have gotten a little possessive over a prince or two. 10/10 would let myself get kidnapped again. 👑🔥
Thank you NetGalley, Jade Presley, Entangled, RedTower for the eARC!!! This was amazing!

This book grabs you from the start and whirls you straight into the story. Full of fun, fantasy-filled world building that is well done and paints a picture for you without being too "wordy."
You get connected to each character and it is easy to keep track, despite having 4 love interests from 4 different places. I didn't feel like I had to keep notes. There was the perfect amount of detail without any "filler" that sometimes feels like it doesn't need to be there.
The spice is absolutely 5/5 and is so well-written. The fun part about having multiple love interests of different personalities and physical features.. there's someone for everyone (although honestly, I loved all of them).
One element to the story really did not end up being the "shock" that's it's probably supposed to be, but I honestly didn't care because I loved the book so much anyways.
The author somehow managed to give you what you really want at the end of a book, while still ending on a cliffhanger... which must be difficult to do because it's so hard to find!
I will be eagerly awaiting the next book in the series and will absolutely be reading other books by the author that was new to me.

Before we get to my full review, I do want to thank Entangled Publishing, Red Tower Books and NetGalley for providing me with an eARC of this book before its release on April 8, 2025 💜 I truly appreciate the opportunity to provide my honest, unfiltered feedback.
Four powerful god-like princes, one mate to bring balance and peace to their kingdoms.
When Rylee Gray sneaks into the Choosing Ceremony intent on finding answers to the mystery surrounding her sister’s disappearance over a year ago, she never expects to be chosen by the four powerful and devastatingly handsome princes who rule her world with an iron fist. Known as the Legends of Chaos, each prince has a unique set of powers that they use to protect and rule their respective kingdoms, their exploits broadcasted throughout the world to convey just how powerful and terrifying they truly are. The princes only have one weakness; they need a mate to balance out their powers, and Rylee just needs to survive four months of courtship, pass every test the four kings surprise her with, receive tokens of approval from each prince, and survive a ritual that could kill her if she is not found worthy by the very goddesses who bore the princes…Can’t be that hard, right?

What I loved:
Rylee Gray and her adventurous spirit. I adored Rylee right from the start. The girl is loyal to a fault, and will do anything for those she loves and considers family. It takes a lot of courage to hide who you are when the discovery of your secrets could end in death. Instead of panicking over her situation, she finds the strength and resolve to push through and face the four princes head on. She definitely finds herself in situations that made me question if I had what it takes to take on the four princes…the girl is champ!
The worldbuilding was creative and full of political intrigue. I really enjoyed the dynamics between the kings, the Legends of Chaos, and the goddesses that the kings are mated to. I’m very intrigued by the role the four kings potentially played in the goddesses ‘protective’ sleep and the war with the demis, and cannot wait to find out more as the series progresses. There is a lot more to this world than meets the eye. With a rebellion taking the backseat to the main plot, I have a feeling that we have only just touched the surface of the underlying political turmoil. And I smell a traitor…
The tension and spice. This book is a why-choose romantasy, so it comes as no surprise that the spice is immaculate. Each prince has his own set of special powers, and boy, do they know how to use them to their advantage. The tension and yearning is believable, and when that tension breaks…somebody grab a fire extinguisher because it is getting hot in here 🥵
Overall, I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romantasy read. If you enjoyed Bonded by Thorns by Elizabeth Helen, The Bonds That Tie by J. Bree, or Blood of Hercules by Jasmine Mas, you’re going to devour this!

One thing about me is that I love a good fantasy why choose where all the characters are so vastly different from each other and The Never List certainly ticked off quite a few boxes for me.
This book follows Rilee after being selected to be the potential mate for the four Princes Of Chaos. This was a fast paced read but also kept me engaged as I was curious where this story would go. I will say this was a very character focused book that highlighted Rilee building connections with each of her men rather than solely being plot driven. This does end in a cliff hanger so do prepare yourself for that but overall, a very enjoyable read.
Thank you Entangled Publishing for the arc.

Wow- this book absolutely took me by surprise and I loved every minute of it. Jade Presley is an absolute master of building the tension throughout the story- even the most mundane communications are laced with innuendo that leave you waiting for that connection between the characters. I found myself surprised to not find the spice until 35% of the way through the book, as the beginning pages really are filled with tension. It was fantastically done, however. What brings me the most joy was the story though. It was absolutely fascinating, well-written, and kept me invested for every single page. I have only one regret in this book- and that's that the sequel seems so far in the future. The cliffhanger is impressive, even if I did see the "twist" coming for quite some time. Hats off to The Never List. I will certainly be anxiously awaiting it's continuation.

Thank you to Red Tower Books for my gifted e-review copy. My opinions are my own.
Tagline:
A why-choose romantasy where one woman’s quest to save her sister―and the realm―brings her to not one, but four power-hungry princes of chaos.
Read this for:
- FMC with magic
- Challenges that the FMC must pass
- 4 princes that must find a singular mate
- secrets and lies
- FMC from the wrong class
- FMMMM why choose
My thoughts:
I enjoyed reading this story quite a bit and I’m invested in wanting to continue the series, especially given the ending set up. This is a why choose, as Rylee does end up with 4 princes, but they each have their own relationship and lands so I’m not certain how everything is going to work. The princes are interesting with their very different powers that they received from their goddess mothers. The spice hits just right for those that prefer no sword crossing in their why choose (there is a sharing scene or two). Yes I have a favorite prince, and I can’t wait to find out who yours will be.
Recommend for romantasy lovers wanting to dip their toes into why choose.

When I tell you I ATE. THIS. UP. It's spicy and delicious and an absolutely incredible story. I loved the conversations around consent and the importance of Rylees comfort. I absolutely adored getting to know Rylee and each of the 4 legends. I absolutely could not put it down and I can't WAIT to find out what happens next.

Man was this book spicy from the jump! 😂 I’m not gunna lie, it’s not Oscar winning or whatever you wanna call it for books but it definitely kept be interested and hell! I had fun with all the spice, but especially when it came to certain trials the main character Rylee had to overcome. 👀
Even though the plot was barely there the cliffhanger did leave you excited for the next book and I’m hoping we get more action after certain reveals. If you liked 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐬 by Elizabeth Helen then you’ll definitely enjoy this read!

The Never List is a really fun & spicy why choose romantasy! I hadn’t really read any since Bonds so this was definitely satisfying. I did kind of get “not like other girls” vibes from Rylee but I liked her overall. I loved the four Princes and thought the author did a nice job of making them distinguishable from one another. My favorite was obviously dark & broody Jax.
This was more spice/relationships than plot which I don’t necessarily mind, but I do wish some of the relationships had been more fleshed out. Rylee spent one month with each of the guys, and the first guy had good development but then it had weeks long time jumps for the rest of them. There were some interesting things happening at the end, but I was able to predict the big twist pretty early on. This was really enjoyable though and I would definitely continue the series.
Thank you to Entangled and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

A big shout out and thank you to Kaye Publicity and the publisher for providing me with a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review!
Every book is a journey; and the experience of that journey—be it what is seen, felt and taken away by the reader—is what dictates the place the book assumes in the reader’s mind, heart and life.
What made the journey of reading The Never List so unique for me was how many elements there were in it. Every single aspect present in this book had its twin, journeying along throughout. For example, for every lighthearted moment, there is dark and tense counterpart that exists as well. This renders the book very very balanced with regard to all the creative elements that make it up; which in turn, makes the reader’s journey through this book so smooth.
From the moment the book begins, the tone is set and so is the voice of the main character. Both these elements are coloured by (as mentioned earlier with regard to the presence of dualities) notes of desperation, pain, humour, strength and daring. The best part was seeing these notes being sustained throughout the book despite the ever-changing scenarios. The Never List has one of the most even forms of narration that most readers will greatly enjoy.
Outside of the fact that The Never List was written in a way I can only compare to the even flow of water over jagged rocks, it is also fantastically immersive, emotional and smart. The author, I would say, has taken on a Herculean task because of the nature of the set-up in this book. There are five main characters, which means five times the number of introductions and establishment of each of their personalities, basic back-stories and inter-personal relationships. The author has chosen a really smart and interesting way to ensure that all characters share a balanced scene space in the book, even while making sure that everything we need to know about them is there without taking away from the underlying elements that are woven in and out through every page. I truly commend the author for writing every scene, every chapter to be just right, just enough and just what is needed.
To be unable to separate the writing—even in a review—from all the other elements that make up this book is a near exact representation of how they all work together like a well oiled machine.
This is one of those books that most readers would likely devour in one sitting (two, if and only if, they are interrupted). The pace in this book, is actually rather swift, however the nature of the tone in each scene makes the reader feel like they perceive a difference. A gentle moment feels drawn out, sweet, bringing a smile and a heart clench, while a tense moment is difficult, bringing forth fear and trepidation, pushing and pulling that moment to make it both last and fly by. The same way, an action filled moment absolutely sprints and causes your heart to race. The experience of that was so wonderful and quite … organic, and keeps the reader glued to the pages, never wanting to leave.
The world building in this book (which ties back to the writing again) might just be one of the most well-planned strategies I’ve seen—especially amongst books that exist within this genre. At least, in my opinion. The most powerful tool that can be used in any set up that features a completely new magic system and world is: one, to set up something familiar about it that the readers can depend on to recognise when new information is going to appear and two, repetition that’s done just right to ensure existing rules and elements are reinforced. The author has done a fantastic job of doing both! What aids the story greatly is also some of the fairly familiar establishments that feature in it; be it the clubs, the clothing and even some of the social system—with their own unique twists of course.
The characters in a book that focuses on the relationship between five of them are certainly the pillars holding the book up. I would say getting to know each of them (including the FMC) was closely tied to the world building. Not just does the reader understand each individual character, they also come to perceive the rules of the world and the many layers of the plot that the author has hidden underneath. I enjoyed spending time with each and every single character (save the few who were never meant to be liked anyway), be it the primary, secondary or tertiary characters and watching the existing relationships flourish, while new ones bloomed and found space for themselves. That was a large part of what happens in this book and while I would’ve loved to have read more about it, I could also understand that there was more to unfold that required scene space and focus.
The plot in this story remains quietly hidden behind all the larger more perceivable sub-plots, so much so that the most obvious plot twist moment is something you never see coming until it’s quite literally upon you. Any author that can still do that to readers is one that is likely going a long way, in my opinion. The last ten percent of this book races and leaves you reeling in the many things it does and doesn’t reveal.
My favourite part of any book is when there is a theme rooted in a social system or structure. I love seeing characters talk about it, seeing it being done in a way where it’s never overlooked and there is always a subtle undercurrent of change brewing. You can expect to see and feel that in The Never List. I’m so very curious to see where Presley is going to take this story. I suspect that the series will likely get more serious as it continues; but even if it doesn’t, wherever it may lead, I can see myself following.
I had a feeling before I began this book that I would enjoy it, I’m pleased to see I was right. The Never List was a solid 4.5 for me! Please do check trigger warnings as always, as there are themes in this book that can be difficult for some.

This was a little beyond what I would normally read but it was soooo good! This is a why choose romantasy with 4 princes who have to all find and agree on one mate.
Each year they go through a process called the choosing and for the last six years, they have not been able to find a mate. Enter Rylee… a head strong, confident Ashlander who came to crash the choosing to find her sister.
This is a spicy book! It is multiple male with one female. But I found that the spice didn’t take away from the plot and it was also not every other page. There was still a really addicting storyline.
That ending!!!!! I need book two now! I hate that I have to wait. That’s my only complaint.
Thank you Entangled and Red Tower for the opportunity to read this ARC!

The Never List by Jade Presley
First thing is first, this is a spicy why choose novel. Don’t for a minute think that detracts from any sort of deeper plot or the depth of the characters in this story! That is not the case and let me tell you once you start reading this one is hard to put down!
I am sitting here after reading the book writing this review wishing there was more to read! There is a twist that I saw coming but not until later in the book did it hit me! I feel like even now I have more questions and suspicions about some of the events of the book!
While this is a book about a young woman named Rylee who is chosen to be the mate for four princes and falls for each of them, there is so much more to it. The world building that Presley does is incredible and one that the reader easily gets sucked into. There are many different levels of the society along with some who are called demis who have power that could match those of the princes along with a brewing rebellion. There is a lot to unpack in this novel and it one I highly recommend spending some time with when this comes out on April 8th!

The Never List is absolutely everything! I initially picked it up because it was a spicy why choose fantasy book. But the plot and every single character from Ivy and Mirren to Rylee and Legends of Chaos gave it so much depth. I loved the way this fantasy book had great world building without taking up chapters and chapters doing it. I felt connected to Rylee and her besties Ivy and Layce and the sisterhood they shared. And our FMC Rylee is not only an amazing friend/sister she also has secrets she’s hiding. And The Princes of Lumathyst, I was in lust with all four of them but Jax (The Nightmare) was my favorite. What can I say, I like’em dark. Rylee was on a mission to find her sister and used a forged invitation to the choosing just to get a peek at royal records. She didn’t want to be chosen, she wanted answers, but you bet lucky #13 was chosen by Jax. I loved learning about each of the princes lands and what made them special. Pierce ,The Mind (Emerald Wood) had to ability to look in to your mind. Axl, The Player (Sapphire Cove) lead the ability to control water. Jax, The Nightmare (The Obsidian City) could sense your emotions and make you live your fears. Kal, The Dreamer (Ruby Aire) had the ability to fly. I started this last night at 7 and then stayed up until 3am devouring every single word. And when I got to the cliffhanger, lots of pillow punching. I was beside myself! 5 stars!!

Didn't hate it, didn't love it. You have to be an all smut lover to give this 5 stars. Don't get me wrong, I like smut. However, I would prefer a great story line with a side of smut, not the other way around.

4⭐/ 4🌶️ (Really like a three, but there's like 5 participants and that can be a big crazy for people)
Ahhh! So I liked this - I didn't love it. It was a good fantasy read with an interesting concept and the world building was a fine. Plus, I'm a sucker for a good why choose romance.
Rylee is from the lowest class and has powers. She sneaks into a Choosing to try to find her sister and gets picked as the potential mate of four princes who are Legends. And they have to share. This is a why choose romance (which is kinda funny cause the event is called the Choosing).
**Below Be Spoilers so Proceed at your Own Risk**
This was a fine read. It was fun. I liked Rylee winning over all the MMC's and even Mirren. She was a spunky character. I feel like Kal was the only prince we really got flushed out though. The hate from Jax wasn't very believable and I wouldn't classify this as any type of enemies to lovers situation between the two. The Kings were weird and creepy and I'm glad that she stood her ground.
The ending was predictable with the Faders leader and everything else. The Goddesses were - in their brief appearance - slight throw aways and not very likeable.
I did struggle a bit with the type of setting this was (like there's magic that has motorcycle type contraptions, but there's no cell phones, and I'm not entirely sure how the Occuli functioned other than to watch and share news). Honestly I don't think it was ever clear where this fell and so that was a bit confusing.

Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the advanced review copy of this book.
I felt a little let down by this book. It has very off pacing on the storyline, there are pages for just one scene then two weeks are passed in just a scene break.
The characters really needed more personalization and differentiation from each other. I also couldn’t connect at all to the FMC, she was “different” just because she chose different colors than what she was told to wear and because she talked and asked questions.
The romance was not there but there was some poorly written spice scenes. The whole book just felt really depthless. It’s a lot like a popular romance series, and I understand that it is difficult to write something original with how much is already out there but it just felt like a copy and paste but with less depth and detail.

Was a fair read but was definitely all smut and minimal plot. Like a sad, impoverished, and unimportant, but somehow strikingly beautiful, strong warrior with crazy power is the one who will save us all. How does she save everyone you ask? By having an orgy with the all powerful “legends” who have been waiting for a girl who can take all of their dicks at once I guess?
It was hilarious how seriously that whole thing was taken, how does a woman’s ability to have sex determine her worth?
Again, good for smut just not plot 😅
