My favorite mystery series!!! I adore Lisa Regan and as long as she is writing Josie Quinn, I will be reading it! It's incredible to me that she is still able to find new ways to create stories around these characters and leave the readers wanting more. Josie is so delightfully human, while also showing incredible strength, and I love getting to know new depths. The family dynamics in this one were the perfect addition. I am still on the edge of my seat for when we finally get Turner's story! Forever looking forward to the next one!

Brace yourself for the latest Josie Quinn book as it’s a fast paced, heart pounding crime thriller.
I think this is my favourite book in the series as it shows Josie’s vulnerable side but also her determination to solve the case and find Noah.
As per the blurb, Josie arrives home to find every room ransacked and Noah missing. Her whole life crumbles but she is determined to find him.
She’d been out investigating the murder of a woman near a protest site and is shocked when it is linked to Noah’s abduction.
Despite being taken off the case due to the link to Noah, Josie and Trinity start their own investigation. Gretchen and Turner tell them what they can but as the days pass, Josie is desperate to find Noah.
This is a gripping, fast paced crime thriller that I’d highly recommend.
Thanks to Bookouture for the opportunity to read this book.

What a nail biter! This was a well crafted and emotional read with some surprising twists and what an ending! This book will have you laughing, crying and cursing. Continued character development and their relationships along with great mysteries keep this series fresh. I cannot wait for the next one.

OMG!! This one took me through a rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish! I was thoroughly invested from start to finish and stayed up into the wee hours of the morning to finish it in one sitting.
I love coming back to this series and the characters I have come to know and care about, I knew going into this one that it was going to be especially devastating with Noah missing and the links to Josie's past, which, while horrible, I'm endlessly interested in.
We get dual perspectives, and I really enjoyed trying to figure out how the second person was linked to Noah or the other case Josie was working on when he went missing.
This was full of twists and turns and new information about the past. And I loved. every. moment. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next in this series!!!!

Talk about intense! Lisa Regan has done it again. Had me on the edge of my seat! These characters have me so invested that I feel like they are all friends in my head. I love Josie and Noah as if they were my family. I was so afraid to get to the end that I prolonged binging. Lisa sure knows how to pull at the heart. I never want Josie Quinn to go away. If you haven’t read any of the JQ books, start binging now. Cant wait for the next one.

I’d like to thank Bookouture and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Husband Missing’, book 22 in the Detective Josie Quinn series written by Lisa Regan, in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
While investigating the stabbing of Gina Phelan, daughter of the powerful Phelan family, Detective Josie Quinn returns home to find it’s been trashed with copious amounts of blood spread throughout and her husband Lieutenant Noah Fraley missing. Josie isn’t allowed to investigate Noah’s abduction herself so is relying on her closest friends and colleagues to work on her behalf, although that doesn’t stop Josie and her journalist twin sister Trinity from making enquiries of their own.
‘Husband Missing’ is the latest fast-paced thriller in this totally gripping series that’s had me hooked from page one and has a plot so involving that I couldn’t stop reading. It has everything I want from a thriller, suspense, intrigue, danger, and so many twists and turns that I had no idea how it was going to end and whether everyone at Denton Police Department was going to survive. I’ve enjoyed meeting up with Josie and Noah, Josie’s twin sister Trinity, as well as Detectives Gretchen Palmer and even Kyle Turner who shows that maybe he’s not such a douchebag after all, not forgetting their loveable dog Trout. I admit that at times I had tears in my eyes, and readers of this amazing book won’t need to be told why when they’ve reached the end. Every time I read a Lisa Regan thriller I think it’s the best yet but this latest one really is, and I’m so looking forward to reading book 23 to find out what’s going to happen in the private lives of Josie and Noah.

JQ 22 kept me on edge for the entirety of its pages.
I seriously don't know how Lisa Regan devises these plots but it must be magic.
Josie's long day at work turns in to several long days OFF work when she comes home to find her husband missing, the house trashed, and blood everywhere.
Though she can't be involved in the investigation, her gut leads her to the cause of nearly every awful thing that's ever been done to her - Lila. The monster who kidnapped her as an infant is reaching out from beyond the grave to try and steal her happiness.
You won't want to put this one down, and if you're like me, waiting for the next in the series might just be torture.

My heart stayed in my throat the entire time I was reading this book. Noah is missing and Josie is sinking further and further into darkness, understandably so. Josie has been through so much tragedy in her life. Now she cannot even investigate her own husband's disappearance. There can be so possibility of impropriety. She is about to jump out of her own skin. She is a justice seeker and top notch investigator. She does not like sitting on her hands.
When they realize that Noah's case and the current case are connected, the collision of these two cases is like a stick of dynamite. This was another great mystery/police procedural starring one of my favorite fictional characters, but this one was also very emotional for the characters, and actually myself, as the reader. Just when I think Lisa Regan cannot pull another fast one and twist me up, she does it again. I did not have any clue where this book was going to end up, and shocking does not even begin to describe it once all the odd puzzle pieces starting falling into place.
Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

From the opening line you're crash bang back in Josie's world and it's as good as always.
While there is a ‘main plot’ the subplot really is the star here as the two collide and Josie’s past continues to catch up and cause havoc. A real rollercoaster of a ride and another great addition to this brilliant series

🏗 Josie's life torn asunder 😰
4-4.5🌟 stars
Husband Missing is filled with suspense and tragedy, with Detective Josie Quinn fully seated in the center. She's no sooner involved in a new homicide outside the construction site of a controversial new hospital build when her private life crashes into pieces. And the horrors of her past come galloping back to bite her in the present as she learns of even more people who fell victim to Lila, her cruel "adoptive" mother. Lila's dead and gone but still wreaking havoc and this time, Josie's husband Noah is a major victim.
While the story was exciting, I tend to prefer police suspense where the balance between the investigation and the detective's private life is skewed more heavily toward the police work. Here, Josie and her actions/reactions and memories seemed to dominate the plot. Josie's sidelined due to her personal stake in the case, but of course that doesn't mean she's sitting around twiddling her thumbs! Trinity, her investigative reporter twin sister, joins forces with Josie in their own attempts to ferret out what happened to Noah and why.
The core of the story is a multigenerational family tragedy. And the Roe character really is a tragic figure, no two ways about it. She has Josie's traumatic past beat by miles!
Lots of threads here and the end was a bit of a shocker. Good storytelling. Since I started reading this series a few years ago I never miss a new release!
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

I’ve been wanting to dive into this series for a while, but my TBR just keeps getting longer. I still plan to start from the beginning, but I couldn’t resist jumping in mid series only to find out that Josie’s husband, Noah, has vanished! This was such a fun mystery thriller that not only kept me on edge but also delved into Josie’s past in a way that felt seamless. The author does a fantastic job providing enough backstory for newcomers like me, making it easy to get invested. I was rooting for the team the entire time, hoping they’d solve the mystery and save Noah. A heart pounding read that had me reeling in some parts. And that hook!?!? OMG!!

Have you ever read a book so good that when you've finished, you stare at the wall for 5 minutes so you can process how absolutely amazing it was?! Just me? I can't even describe it, it was just so so good! And no joke, my jaw was on the floor and I had to just sit for a bit. 100 stars if I could!

This story was such a roller coaster of a ride!
I mean, literally…..so much going on that I could not put the book down!
And, the ending cliffhanger??????
If you haven’t read the Detective Josie Quinn series, I highly recommend it! I do encourage you to start with the first book in the series. There is so much back story to Josie, her husband and her team.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series!!!!
Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Another brilliant book in this Josie Quinn series. It may be book 22 but it’s just as amazing as the previous 21. Plenty of suspense and I love the dynamic of the team that they are just like family. Gripped from the first page I couldn’t put it down. Josie has to take a back seat when Noah goes missing but she still hunts down any leads she can with her twin by her side. A great cliffhanger at the end leaves me wanting the next book now. Please don’t keep us waiting too long. A solid 5 stars, I would give more if I could.

Soooo Ms Regan sends us one hell of a rollercoaster !!! Just when you think Josie has seen it all, or almost all... well none other than Lila comes back to haunt her from the grave !! I loved every bit of this story, and the fact that despit everything, Josie has proven also in my opinion in this book to herself that she can rest assured she has a family right beside her no matter what happens, I also particularly loved the emphasis on that in this book. Now I recommend anyone to go and buy it and devour every bit of it just like I did, because nothing will prepare you for this one !!

ASTOUNDING! FAVOURITE OF THE SERIES YET! FAVOURITE DETECTIVE SERIES EVER!
Husband Missing is book 22 of the Josie Quinn series and just like the other books in the series was an amazing read! I found it to be a page turner and with a lot of twists that i didn’t see coming. The plot was great, the story flowed beautifully and the suspense and mystery was intricately woven into the story. I loved seeing Josie and Noah, who are total couple goals! Even when going through the hardest of times and facing more bad news Josie continuously attempts to pick up the pieces of her life, to be better than she ever has been, she never gives up. Josie inspires me and i have to say this was such an intriguing and unique read- the suspense was on point and i didn’t see the complete picture at all. Josie continually impress me with how she thinks and how the puzzle comes together for her. I love reading this step by step and experiencing it like you’re standing next to Josie as everything is happening. That’s how good Lisa’s writing is you legitimately feel like you’re right there whilst the events are happening. The plot was something you never saw coming and woven into the start of Josie’s life and the stories that came before. I really loved seeing Trinity and Josie in this one, how they worked together and how they can communicate almost telepathically with a lot of stuff. I really enjoyed the emotional scene with Josie and Gretchen in the bathroom. I adored the scene where Shannon comes out swinging for Josie. The love and devotion Josie and Noah have for one another is unmatched, not once in this book did we see Josie even think about giving up, even with the odds stacked against them she came out swinging and did what she does best. Josie believed in herself and her hunches because she knew thats what Noah would do if he were there. I loved seeing my favourite secondary characters- Noah, Gretchen, Chief Chitwood, Trinity, Drake, Patrick, Shannon, Christian and who doesn’t love Trout! We saw a different side to Turner in this book and i can definitely tell we’re going to learn more about him at some point. Him acting normal helped Josie and we saw that even with his faults he is a solid detective. I’m a Josie Quinn series fanatic and i don’t see myself ever missing a book by Lisa Regan because her work continuously impresses me! Bring on book 23!

This was one of the best Josie Quinn books I’ve read. Full of suspense, not knowing if Noah is dead or alive, and intertwining cases on the side made this a great read. The cliffhanger at the end makes me ready for the next one.

This is part of a long running series (Detective Josie Quinn). I heard they can be ready as a standalone, and I'm not going to be catching up on 21 books anytime soon, so I grabbed it. And it was excellent. If you like crime fiction, I think you'll like this one.
Detective Josie Quinn returns home after being called to the scene of a body found during a protest. Her house is in shambles and her husband is missing. She thinks that he left clues at their home with his bloody handprints on the wall. She cannot stop thinking about it. When clues start colliding from both of these crimes scenes, Josie knows she needs to confront parts of her past to solve the crimes.
I would love to start this series from the first book. I may never catch up, but boy this was good! It was so suspenseful and intense. The way the author writes these scenes you can picture it so vividly. I loved it!
Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the gifted copy. All opinions are my own.

I can't believe we're on book 22, and each book is still as good as book 1. If anything, it's getting better the more we get to know and love the incredible team of characters. Poor Josie deserves a murder free holiday though. She's been through it. I cannot wait to see what happens in her personal life, considering how this one ended.
There are so many great supporting characters. I loved that Josie had so much love and support throughout. I am still so intrigued by Turner and his story though.
As always, there were plenty of twists and turns to keep me guessing, and I stressed for Noah throughout because you can't trust Lisa. I had no idea where it was going. The reveal was horrifying.
I very much approved of the fact that when Josie is rightly taken off the case, she doesn't storm off and try to solve it on her own. She obviously does some investigating but is respectful of the law and makes sure she doesn't do anything that could jeopardise a future trial.
Highly recommend checking this series out and reading in order.

Another brilliant read from Lisa. In this one Josie has to take a back seat in an investigation as Noah goes missing. Josie is trying her best to uncover what is happening which means she has to rake up a lot of demons from her past.
