Will Holly get her Happy Ending after all?
I couldn’t wait to begin the 8th instalment of Holly’s story and what a beautiful story it is. I found it heartwarming and loved the added extra of the cat, Rhubarb to the storyline.
I couldn’t believe Giles & Sienna’s story, I felt poor Holly got a rough deal - she couldn’t see what everyone else could until it was too late. Will an unexpected challenge change her future?
A very charming storyline perfect to cosy up with, Hannah Lynn has written another captivating story full of sugary sweetness and love.
I wonder if there will be a next book full of love? Only time will tell
Thank you Boldwoodbooks, Hannah Lynn & NetGalley

I wanted to like this book, but truthfully both of the main characters were just incredibly annoying. I didn't feel any real chemistry between them, and both of them treated each other so poorly. There was also a lot of missing backstory re the FMC's late husband, and her relationship with the father of her child (who is neither her dead husband nor the man she ends up with). The kitten, Rhubarb, was the only part of the book that I really liked.
Many thanks to Hannah Lynn, Boldwood Books, & Netgalley for providing me with an ARC.

I enjoyed Happy Ever After at the Second Chances Sweet Shop. It was nice to catch up with Holly, a few years after the last book and was a nice ending for the series.

It is nice dropping in and visiting Holly once again. She has her sweet shop. Just One More, doing good, her daughter is happy, and she has some wonderful friends, along with best friend Giles. Giles has been dating a woman named Sienna, and out of the blue, he asks her to marry him. It got real interesting after that. Sometimes, I thought, love is blind, but really? There was some stumbling going on, there were awkward moments, some stubbornness, and Hannah Lynn does know how to write as their journey unfolds. That is what I feel when I read the first book, and again with this one. She is sitting there with them, and she writes, as things unfold so naturally.
I received an ARC from Boldwood Books through NetGalley. I hope Hannah Lynn continues this series, there is so much more of their life to unfold.

After the heart breaking events of the previous book Holly needs to find a way to move on with her life. Five years on, just as she starts to find her new normal her best friend Giles gets engaged to a woman that Holly feels isn't right for him.
One thing I have loved about the Second chance sweet shop series is our FMC Holly. She is flawed, has made questionable choices, suffered heartbreak and taken leaps of faith. There have been times when I have wanted to reach into the pages and hug her, and times when I've wanted to give her a good shake. All of this has made her incredible human and I have loved it.
I had a feeling i knew how Hollys story was going to end and i will honestly say i had my doubts. However loved how her journey ends.
A wonderfully cosy end to a wonderfully cosy series.

What a lovely book. I really enjoyed this one. It reminded me of all my favourite types of books, hopeful, funny, and with a splash of happy ever after. One to recommend for reading by the pool or on the beach. Don’t hesitate, get out there and read it!

This was one of those books I couldn’t stop thinking about when I wasn’t reading. Was desperate to get back to it! A lot about this one really spoke to me. It’s rare I love a contemporary book like this so much, but definitely a hit for me!

Another instalment in the sweet shop saga. Holly and her daughter Hope have lived 3 years following Ewan’s death. Her best friend Giles has got engaged it then Holly has a light bulb moment about her relationship with Giles. A lot of ups and downs and a bit of a cheesy end but it couldn’t be any other way. Thanks to Hannah for great characters and her publisher. Thanks also to NetGalley

I've really enjoyed this series so far. I was so excited to have the opportunity to carry on the series thanks to Netgalley and the publisher. Holly Berry is back after a tragedy in the last book, we meet her finally, realising the love of her life is right under her nose, but things dont run smoothly. Will she finally get her dreams come true?

After the sudden death of Ethan Holly Berry is on the right track her shop is blossoming and so is her beautiful daughter
Hope. Her friendships are on point but when her closest friend Giles announces he’s getting married she feels frankly weird. She tries to get along with his fiancée Sienna but shresly she’s not the only one who can she that she’s not right for him.
After all the visits to the second chance sweet shop can they find happiness together.
Love this series and loved this instalment.

This was a lovely story which continued on from the previous one with the same characters and some new ones. I do enjoy these books and hope there is more to come as I would love to find out what happens next. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

enjoyed this one overall, and would be a good summer read. part of a series though, and must admit I was a bit lost at times. Still though, would recommend.

A fitting ending to a really good series. I have so enjoyed getting to know the cast of characters throughout the books, and it came to a happy ending in this finale. It was so good to see Holly’s end happy and to see the loose ends tied together. This story felt a little more rushed and perhaps anticlimactic versus the others, but that may be just because the last one was so exciting. I’m happy I read this series and I am happy to see it conclude in the way that it did.

Rounded up from 3.5 stars.
I had a hard time figuring out what the character relationships were to the MC but once I was able to figure that out, it was very sweet. It is a cute and cozy read reminiscent of the Dream Harbor series. I immediately was enthralled with Holly’s relationship with Giles and thought Sienna was super obnoxious and I wondered what he saw in her. I was waiting with bated breath for her to admit she had feelings for him. I’m happy she is beginning to move on from her loss and giving Hope a full family. I read this in one day, it was so quick and easy to fall for.

Thank you to Hannah Lynn, Boldwood Books and Netgalley for the chance to read this ARC in return for an honest review.
I fell in love with the title and the pretty cover of this book. Anything that has to do with sweets/candies/lollies and romance has my attention straight away.
When I found out that this is part of a series, I read the first book of the series and was surprised to realise that this book was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down the track from when I first met the characters, but, Hannah Lynn writes in such a way that you feel like you are catching up with the kind of old friends that you haven‘t seen for years, but can pick up right where you left off – like time hasn’t passed at all!
Happy Ever after at the Second Chances Sweet Shop jumps back into Polly’s life years after she initially buys the sweet shop, Just One more, that she worked at when she younger. A lot of things have changed. Polly still owns the shop but now has a daughter and has been through some very difficult times and is feeling like life may be able to calm down when her once arch nemesis turned best friend Giles, decides to get engaged to the latest woman in his life.
This book has a “My best friend’s wedding” feel to it which I loved. Hannah Lynn has written another gorgeous closed door romance told with the warmth of characters that have become familiar friends. I am definitely going to be reading more of Hannah Lynn!

So exciting to finally see Holly and Giles getting together. It’s been a long time coming. I have loved following Holly’s story through all the books and this was no exception. I wish it was longer but I am hoping this is not the end of the story!

Loved this! I really appreciate romance books that mix in a healthy dose of humor with strong characterization, and this checked almost all of the boxes for me. One thing that I wish the author had worked upon more is definitely the writing— I feel like it could’ve been much cleaner and stronger, but nonetheless, a solid book, and so cute!

Okay, this book was chef’s kiss adorable! 😍 So, Holly’s been through some tough stuff but is now living her best life with her daughter Hope and her cute lil’ shop, Just One More. Honestly, I’m obsessed with the whole “cozy small-town” vibe—Cotswolds, I’m coming for you. Everything’s chill… until her bestie Giles decides to drop a major bombshell and proposes to Sienna, a total stranger who gives off major red flags. 😬 Now, Holly’s all trying to be the peacekeeper, planning a wedding for a couple that’s literally the opposite of couple goals. But wait—Holly’s low-key having a mini existential crisis, questioning if she’s jealous of them or just… confused about her own feelings? 😅 The tension between friendship, love, and, like, what’s actually in her heart kept me on the edge of my seat. If you’re into slow-burn romance, second chances, and a dash of drama that lowkey makes you want to scream at the pages, this book is your new bestie. It’s a cozy, heartfelt read that’ll make you laugh, cry, and want to hug the people you love most.

Holly’s best friend Giles proposes to his girlfriend, sending Holly into a crisis because she knows this woman is not right for Giles. But is that really why she’s upset? This was a cute story. I haven’t read the previous seven books so I didn’t quite get who all the characters were and how they fit into the story at first, but it became clear as I got further into the book. Once I got the characters sorted, it didn’t hurt the story that I hadn’t read the previous books. I was still fully invested. I liked both characters a lot and was fully vested in Holly’s story.

Happily Ever After at the Second Chances Sweet Shop by Hannah Lynn. Happily Ever After at the Second Chances Sweet Shop was a a hard to put down read.
