This was a cozy, small-town second chance romance with plenty of heart. Mylie is holding it down in Clay Creek with her thriving tackle shop, her quirky family, and a fishing tournament to win. Then Ben rolls back into town, all grown up and unexpectedly handsome, bringing old feelings and unfinished business with him.
The story flips between present-day and flashbacks, which gave a sweet look at their friendship-turned-almost-romance from the past. I liked seeing their history unfold alongside their reunion, even if the story didn’t fully sweep me away.
The romance was cute and easy to root for.
What really stood out was the audiobook. Amanda Stribling's narration brought everything to life, and her Southern accent made it feel even more grounded and authentic.
Overall, this is a nice, low-stakes read perfect for spring. Comforting, a little nostalgic, and just the right length.

I enjoyed this book Immensely. I found myself rooting for the main characters, not only for their potential romance to succeed but also for them to do well in their other endeavors. Great beach read.
Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I had a fun time reading this book. I enjoyed the sporadic chapters into the past of the main characters to gain insight into how they became best friends.. I just had a hard time connecting to the characters. The romance felt rushed and a tiny bit hard to believe. for me, I had a hard time seeing how the main characters haven't spoken in a decade and suddenly they are inseparable. I loved the small town vibes and the FMC love her her family and home. This book was a cute and I would 100% recommend it to someone looking for a cute and fun read.

Spring Fling an unrequited loved, separated besties for 10 years now brought back together. Loved how the book gave us flashbacks of their younger lives and what made them such good friends. Their quirky town definitely adds to the charm but this book fell flat for me. Lots of miscommunication that could’ve been handled quickly, misconceptions and just the instant together is a bit much. The narrator really brought the book to life though and I lovedddd her accent. Thank you for the ARC!

Spring Fling is a fun, cozy, and cute summer read! Mylie grew up in Clay Creek, Arkansas, and lives with her Granny and sister Cassie. Mylie has made a perfect life for herself and runs a successful tackle shop that employs ⅓ of Clay Creek’s population. She is very excited to host a team for the annual fishing tournament.
After the death of his father, Ben and his mom moved to Clay Creek with his grandfather. Mylie is Ben’s next-door neighbor, and they quickly become best friends. When Ben leaves for college, he doesn’t think he’ll ever return to Clay Creek until his grandfather and mom pass away. On a mission to sell his grandfather’s house ASAP before he accepts a teaching position on the East Coast, he bumps into Mylie, and the rest is history.
Spring Fling is a fun, cozy, and cute summer read! I need this to be a Hallmark movie ASAP because it really does fit the code. Mylie is such a likable MFC. She owns her business and not only takes care of herself, but her sister, Cassie, and Granny after her and Cassie’s parents passed away.
Ben, the MMC, is a good dude. He eventually becomes conflicted about leaving Mylie after they start their relationship. Unfortunately, he initially, does not pass the vibe check until he understands what he’s going to lose out on by taking a job out of state and selling his grandfather’s house.
Thank you to NetGalley, HarperAudio, and Annie England Noblin, for the ALC! All opinions are my own.

Unfortunately, I had to DNF this book at 22%. There was a lot of language right from the start, including the use of GD in the very first chapter, which immediately left a bad taste in my mouth. Soon after, the sexual innuendos started piling up, and that was enough for me. I can sometimes overlook mild language or even a skippable open-door scene if the story is well-written and captivating, but this book just wasn’t that for me.

Spring Fling is a sweet and steamy small-town romance about childhood friends Mylie and Ben, who reunite after a decade apart. Ben’s return to town to sell his grandfather’s house rekindles old feelings and sets the stage for a heartfelt second chance/friends-to-lovers story.
I really enjoyed the chemistry between the main characters—it felt genuine and had me rooting for them from the start. The romance builds in a satisfying way, and there are plenty of sweet, tender moments balanced with steamier scenes.
That said, the structure wasn’t my favorite. The flashbacks to their childhood memories were sometimes awkwardly placed and disrupted the pacing for me. I also would have appreciated clearer chapter headings or indicators when the POV shifted, as it occasionally took a moment to figure out who was narrating.
I listened to the audiobook version and thought the narrator was okay. Their performance didn’t take away from the story, but it didn’t really enhance it either.
Overall, Spring Fling was a charming, lighthearted read with lots of heart and small-town charm. Perfect for fans of second chances, slow-burn chemistry, and friends-to-lovers romances!

Spring Fling is a delightful romcom by Annie England Noblin. Mylie Mason has helped invigorate her small down of Clay Creek, Arkansas by establishing her fishing gear company in her home town. Hook, Line, and Sinker employs a good portion of the town as well as sponsors a fishing centered tournament yearly in conjunction with the town’s summer celebration. This helps to spur the economy of the entire community.
With the focus of her business, her dear Granny, and much younger sister Cassie, along with a close circle of friends, Mylie’s life is full. However, she may always carry a torch for her best friend/neighbor boy/the one that got away. Ben Lawrence, PhD, left for Chicago the day after high school graduation, returning to the hometown where he had lived until his father’s death when he was in 6th grade. At that time he and his mother moved to Clay Creek to live with his grandfather. And it is where Ben and Mylie became fast friends his first day at school. The feelings of friendship may have evolved to something more, but neither ever said as each one’s plans for the future took them in different directions.
Now, after so many years, Ben is back to sell the home he has inherited before moving east to accept a faculty position in Boston. But after all these.years apart, is it time to see what the future could hold together?
This is such a good story with so many twists and stumbling blocks along the way. With some deep messages about overcoming loss and discovering the way forward, this book has so much more to say than the surface story. I did enjoy this book and I do recommend it!

This was a cute second chance, friends to lovers, small town romance, set across two timelines. High School best friends who grew apart when one went to college. They are now back in the same town and trying to navigate who they are now and there feelings for each other. Both were stubborn in the own ways and couldn't stop getting in their own ways. Written in 3rd person POV which is not my favorite, the audio was good and I enjoyed this listen.

This was a light and cute second chance romance story with a fun small town setting. The town was cute, maybe cuter than the couple... but I liked Mylie and Ben. This book was charming.

Very cute. Definitely would recommend to a romance reader. We have our main character Miley who has been in love with her neighbor / BFF Ben since 6th grade. Ben leaves the day after high school graduation, but comes back to sell his family home 10 years later. When he gets to this small town of Clay Creek he reunites with his best friend Miley and jumps back into small town life.... even though he may not fit in.

The overall premise of this story is good. The side characters add humor and fun to the story, especially Granny and Cassie. I loved the small town setting of the story and how the main character, Mylie was a successful business owner and involved in the community. I would recommend this book for fans of a predictable romance; however, overall, it missed the mark for me.
It was hard to keep my interest in the story and the two main characters, Mylie and Ben. Much of their story seems just to happen. It felt as if there should have been more development. All of a sudden, the characters had rekindled their childhood crushes after spending a decade apart and spending nearly no time getting to know one another. There was some cute banter and silly situations, but other parts felt incomplete or unnecessary, particularly the spicy scenes. They would have been more enjoyable if they were more fleshed out or simply left out altogether. Additionally, I didn't find myself rooting for the main characters because they both seemed a bit selfish. They needed a little more character development after that decade apart so that their choices in the end didn't feel like they came out of nowhere.

Spring Fling by Annie England Noblin was a second chance book for the two main character reconnecting as adults to see that they still had the feelings that they did when they were younger.
I found this book good for what it was, a quick read for the spring/summer, however I did not like how certain things felt like they were almost added as an after thought. It just felt a little disjointed at times, or that things were added afterwards without reworking the scene.
I didn't really have a connection with these characters and wasn't overly invested in the outcome.

Thank you NetGalley for the chance to listen to Spring Fling by Annie England Noblin shortly after it's release. This was a fun Spring/Summer read. This is a second chance, friends to lovers romance narrated by Amanda Stribling
Miley is thriving in her small hometown of Clay Creek. She lives with Granny and her little sister, Cassie in the home where she grew up and where she became best friends with Ben in her early childhood years. Ben left Miley when he went back to Chicago for college after his High School graduation. It has been 10 years and Ben is finally coming back to Clay Creek to sell the home next door. When Ben and Cassie reconnect, they rediscover the feelings they had 10 years ago are still there. But are they enough to keep Ben where Mylie has planted her roots?
Amanda Stribling did a fantastic job narrating this story. I enjoyed the way she brought the characters to life and showed their connection through voice inflection.
Personally, I felt the romance and spice fell flat. There was no build up or romantic tension there when the FMC and MMC were together. I definitely felt they had a good friendship but I did not get that giggly, twirly feeling while reading.

This is a small-town romance that takes on the complexities of restored friendships and second chances at love. The book centers on Mylie and Ben, childhood best friends who reunite after ten-years, and is set in the quaint community of Clay Creek. Ben comes back to sell his family home, and while they are together, old emotions come back, forcing them to strike a careful balance between the past and the present.
This is a quick read perfect for the spring time. I received the audiobook version of this book. I thought the narrator did a great performance.
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to Spring Fling by Annie England Noblin.

What a cute book, second chance, childhood friends to Lovers, pining, small town romance,So many of my favorites!
I loved the characters including all the supporting charters human and animal alike and I really enjoyed Ben and Mylie at the beginning but I did find by the end I strongly believed they were not strong enough to last. But I still ate this up.

Spring Fling by Annie England Noblin is a charming small-town friends-to-lovers romance that delivers exactly what you'd expect—nothing more, nothing less.
The setting of Clay Creek is cozy and picturesque, and Mylie is a likable, grounded heroine. I appreciated the strong sense of community, the all-women fishing team was a fun touch, and Granny and Cassie added warmth and humor to the story. Ben’s return to town brings the expected wave of nostalgia and unresolved feelings, which unfold just the way you’d predict.
And that’s really the core of this book—it’s sweet and easy to read, but doesn’t bring anything particularly new to the table. The plot is straightforward, the romantic beats are familiar, and while the chemistry is there, it didn’t quite sizzle.
If you’re looking for a light, feel-good romance with a small-town charm and no big surprises, Spring Fling fits the bill. But if you’re craving something that shakes up the trope or digs a little deeper emotionally, this one might leave you wanting more.
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to to read Spring Fling by Annie England Noblin.

This book is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. This is a cute springtime read with some smalltown vibes. I loved the throwback of Sadie's Hawkens dances and high school! I really enjoyed this friends to lover story where there were times I was giggling. One thing I noticed was that it felt a little too rushed (very insta love vibes but the main characters have a history) and unrealistic. I understand that romance books can be unrealistic but the rushing of the connection between Ben and Mylie just got me a little put off and not as invested as an angsty romance. Now bring for the narration- it was very well done, and it added to the story. The vibes Amanda Stribling brought was great.
Thank you to NetGalley and HarperAudio Adult for the ALC in exchange from my honest opinion.

3.5/5
Spring Fling was a small town second chance romance. This was a super cute audiobook. One thing that I really enjoyed about this story was how fun and silly the characters are written. The author did a great job writing engaging dialogue. There are characters that have some difficult backgrounds, but Annie kept the story light. The story followed the usual romance book format, but I didn’t get annoyed with it. In fact, I enjoyed the predictability, and Mylie’s character is a gem. Thank you so much to @Netgalley for the audiobook!

I tried to take my chances with this friends to lovers romance, but by halfway through, I'm convinced it's not written for me.
I'm not feeling any romantic chemistry, this story is a carbon copy of other books I've read, the pace is painful, and nothing seems to be progressing, the dialogue is randomly good but otherwise boring, the writing is fine but not memorable and the side characters kept taking away from the main couple.
OVERALL: Read this if you like low conflict, simple romances.
