It was cute, but I felt a little underwhelmed . I liked the small town setting and a hearing about the families, but the romance kind of fell flat for me.

This was a really sweet small town romance between two childhood friends. But Ben was gone for 10 years before he came back to town one last time. Soon the sparks and chemistry are undeniable between Ben and Mylie and what once were thought of as teenage love starts to become more.

I don’t usually go for the small town romances but this was a fun one to listen to. I really enjoyed Amanda’s narration and she did a great job with all the characters! My favourite side character has to be granny ❤️ and stan the dog 🐶

My heart! This small town, second chance romance is so absolutely endearing and sweet. The connection between Millie and Ben was just too perfect. Best friends growing up who always wanted to be more, a tale as old as time. Teenage me was sympathetic and my adult me’s heart was reeling with what could be after a long awaited reunion.

Granny and fat Tony were treasures in this story. I loved the strong badass southern Granny vibe, so funny.

Everyone should read. It’s a feel gooder!

If you’re looking for a light romance novel with a unique setting and a dash of spice, this will be up your alley.

I felt that this novel could definitely have been more robust. The characters all lacked dimension to me and there were a lot of threads that seemed to dead end, like what was the point of the younger sister drinking in the parking lot?
Many of the scenes also came across as rushed. We made it through the slow burn to have the spicy scenes skip from kissing to naked to sweaty and done far better too quickly.
When listening to the audio version, much of the conversation felt choppy and the word “said” was used glaringly frequently, and other words were just as applicable.

These things kept me from really getting into the novel and why I give it a 2.5 star rating.

3.25 This was a cute, easy and quick read. I enjoyed the story and characters. Granny seems like a woman I want to be friends with.

The two timelines was a fun surprise- starting from when they met in 6th grade, we get some backstory on their relationship as they age and get closer to Ben leaving.

Two best friends, Ben and Mylie, who had feelings for each other but never acted on them reconnect after 10years and jump into a friends with benefits situation that has an expiration since Ben is leaving again. I wish there was a bit more substance to them reconnecting- they barely discussed anything before acknowledging a physical attraction and jumping into bed together. Also, zero conversation about protection or birth control which stuck out to me - I thought we might get an accidental pregnancy trope thrown in.

2.5 rounded up. This was an overall okay read. I didn’t love Mylie and Ben as a couple and I felt that the spice went from 0-100 without any kind of build up. I also noticed a few inconsistencies that drove me insane. Like Jodi’s mom giving her a hard time for not being married but then mid book she is married. And Cassie breaking up with her boyfriend and then boom they’re just magically together?. The small town vibe was cute. I also loved Granny and Morris.

When they see each other again there the awkwardness of not seeing your best friend in 10 years to falling back into the friendship and Miley always wanted to tell him how she felt is this her chance? He's leaving once the house is sold is it worth it?

The story was fine the friends to lovers part wasn't very strong for me it seemed to easy just hi to ok lets do this. I didn't buy the quick romance there was no real drama or connection. the only drama comes from the end and it wasn't just them there was a sub story that had more emotion/ drama.

I had the opportunity to read this a while ago and adored it. Then I was privileged to listen to the audiobook version. I loved the book and couldn’t imagine liking it more, but I was wrong. For me, the narration was wonderful and brought the characters to life in a different way than when I read it. I truly adored this listen. The story takes place in a small town over years. It’s about friendship, love, loss, small town nosiness, disconnections, reconnections, listening to ones heart and head and trying to figure out which to follow, some very loving, but stubborn people, and some serious craziness thrown in as well. Mylie and Ben have loved each other for what seems like forever, but neither told the other. When Ben left town, he barely looked back. They had very different life goals and dreams so how could anything possibly work? She has her Granny, younger sister and a business she is so very proud of and he never considered their town his home. It was what it was. When he decides to sell his family home so he can move on with his life, he heads back to town thinking he can get in and out without much fanfare. Haha! It’s a nice, easy, sort of predictable (it is of course what we were expecting so not a true spoiler) yet wonderful read to their eventual HEA. A great cast of characters, good writing and a great ending made for a wonderful read. If I could give more stars than 5 I would!

This book is a cute, childhood-best-friends-reconnecting-second-chance romance. The small town and its antics are a character all on its own. If you enjoy a small town romance, livened up with a sassy granny, and a few open door rendezvous you'll like this book!

Narration was done really well- loved the accents- they sounded true to the Arkansas lilt that I've heard before!

This was a one day listen for me, and I thought it was fine for a cute second chance romance.

Miley's life in her small hometown is thriving, but she is thrown for a loop when her childhood best friend (and secret love of her life) returns 10 years later to sell the family house. The book is about rediscovering whether they have feelings for one another.

I am not the biggest fan of second chance romance under these circumstances. The premise is that both main characters were secretly in love with each other back in high school but never told the other. They kept in touch a little when Ben went away for school but ultimately lost touch. It just seemed like the entire book could have been avoided with a little bit of communication.

The ending had kind of this weird thriller-esque twist to it that I was not expecting and that threw me off a little.

Overall, I enjoyed the narration and it was a solid audiobook.

This book made me wish I lived in a fictional small town! With a strong cast of side characters the plot really drove this book alongside the romance - I definitely wasn’t just waiting for the main characters to be alone.

Plot: Miley and Ben reconnect after 10 years apart when he visits the small town where they grew up, and where Mylie now owns a successful business. But will their connection be enough to keep him there?

Spring Fling is your typical small town second chance romance. Both of the main characters have had years apart to figure out who they are. Mylie seems stuck in her ways and where she is at in life, but seems to be happy living the way she has. Ben has moved off and had no intentions on going back to his hometown, until his mom threw a wrench in his plans. After getting used to small town life and realizing everything he has been missing Ben has to make a tough choice on following his career or his heart.
Overall I thought this book was a quick enjoyable read. I also enjoyed the narrator and thought she did a great job!

Now I think this is definitely a me problem - but I don’t often love the second chance romance when the first chance happened when they were kids/teenagers. Sometimes gives me the ick. The set up for this was great, idyllic setting, fun main characters with a good set of side characters. I like the spring vibes. Otherwise it just didn’t hit for me

This was my first time reading a book by Annie England Noblin. I found this book to be an absolutely delightful small town romance.

Mylie and Ben were best friends and neighbours in high school, and they were both in love with each other. But Ben was determined to leave their small town, and live in a big city. This is why they never allowed anything to happen between them. Ten years later, Ben is back to sell his parent's house. Sparks fly between himself and Mylie.

A growing up and moving away type novel, leaving behind who you were and trying to embrace who you have become. This is a quick read and follows the two characters one that stayed in the little town and one that left and came back. Ben and Mylie were best friend in high school, but when Ben moves away to go to college and they lose touch, life moves on. Until Ben has to come back to town to sell his grandma's house and sparks start flying all over again. You will find yourself kicking your feet and giggling with this small-town romance where old friends fall back in love. That was a bit of an emotional adventure with a pinch of a thrill. I loved the characters, cover, and title. It really did give me Spring vibes. I received the ALC from Netgalley for my honest opinions. The narrator sounds a bit older which I appreciated as I think a younger sounding FMC would be very contradicting with all the adult vibes from the book. Pretty fast and enjoyable read.

Myle’s closest childhood friend, Ben, returns after moving away for college in Chicago ten years earlier. The two lost touch over time. Ben is not back in Clay Creek to visit unfortunately. He was tasked with one last visit and the sale of his family home. Will separate paths of Mylie and Ben converge as the two run into one another once again or would this be another fork ?

Normally I don’t love friends to lovers tales however this was a truly enjoyable read! It was engaging, had unpredictable sub characters and was funny! I am so glad I had the chance to listen to this and think it’s a great addition to your TBR!
