This book was just so easy to get lost in. I completely got lost in the story and I just loved getting to see these new characters come together. I just absolutely love this story and I just didn’t want to put it down. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

Great addition to the Argeneau series. We get Crispin and Abril’s story in this installment. I am hoping for a book about Tybo soon.

I've been reading Lynsay Sands' Argeneau books for so long they feel like family but for a newcomer the author briefly explains the world and each book can be a standalone. Crispin and Abril have amazing chemistry and. try to resist temptation as they solve a crime but nothing can stop fated mates from each other. Hilarity ensues as these two navigate their burgeoning relationship but fortunately they've got a top notch immortal team for back up. A fun, exciting and suspenseful read!

I’ve read many books in this series, but there’s usually enough time between the ones I read that I can’t exactly remember them. No matter, as I read this latest, much comes back to me. You don’t really need to have read the other books in this series to read this latest at all, however. Crispin is called to the scene of a discovery of bones, where he’s introduced to Abril, who is housesitting for her boss. Chemistry ignites while Abril is being targeted to be next. This book is a wonderful paranormal romance with a dash of suspense. I prefer more suspense than romance, but those who are fans of this series will definitely like this latest. Steamy, well-written, and engaging. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

This is a humorous sexy read. I found myself smiling repeatedly. The dog was a delightful twist. The indoor garden is kinda strange but makes sense in the end. Loved the ending.

Oh my!!! The suspense in Immortal by morning created an addictive read. I read late into the night. I picked right back up in the morning. I needed to know where all the skeletons came from.
The last thing Abril expected, while house and dog sitting, was for the dog, lilith, to discover human bones. And not just one bone in an area being excavated. A quick call to the police department should have solved the problem. There was nothing further from the truth.
Crispin and another immortal detective are called in. It isn't often that they get to investigate murder. Abril's life gets very interesting. As a mortal she was clueless about the immortals. What she did know is that the chemistry between her and Crispin was explosive. Oh my everything about these two is HOT!! Crispin should be solving murders not solving the mysteries of Abril.
Crispin and Roberts are not enough to solve the murders on their own. Lucian is his normal arrogant self. A real bossy boots. Some of my best laughs came when he meets his match in Abril. She has a wonderfully wicked tongue. I don't know if it was me or Cassius that enjoyed her comebacks more.
I couldn't wait to see how they solved the murders. How many bodies would the discover buried around the property? How will they figure out who and why? It just wasn't making sense. Then it all made sense. And the story revealed in jaw dropping. After all of the death and destruction I could only hope that Crispin and Abril would find their happily ever after.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Another solid read in this series. I suspect fans like myself will enjoy the familiarity of the world, the cameos from favorite characters, and the well-worn but slightly differently presented explanation of nanos and immortals and Atlantis. Newbies might find it a bit more interesting—it’s certainly an enjoyable mystery of vampirism gone wrong and the horrors of house-sitting for a demanding boss.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely, if you don’t mind setting aside reality for a solid few hours of sexy fun with a 3000 year old man. Which I did—and would do again. Because it may not win prizes but it kinda won my heart.

I have read all of the books in this series and some of them twice. “Immortal by Morning” did not disappoint. Crispin is one of the sons of Basil that was the lead of a previous book. These books are stand alone so it’s fine if you haven’t read any of the others. I loved the mystery aspect and thought I had it all figured out a few chapters in. I definitely did not have it. If you like a little paranormal, romance, with a sprinkle of mystery, you will love this book.

Let me just start off by saying that I will read anything that Lynsay Sands writes. She is one of my all-time favorite paranormal authors and I just gobble up her books. I really really enjoyed this one. It had an extra element of mystery and the paranormal to it and I really really enjoyed that.
Crispin and Abril together, wow, you don't even need a match to start that fire....wooooooooooo!! I also really enjoyed seeing some of the other enforcers there to from past books. I love being able to keep up with everyone, even though sometimes I think I need a book just for that! LOL.
In this one, there was a mystery, inside of a mystery and boy does that get my brain all happy when there are mental knots that I have to try and undo. I wish I could tell you more, but I do not do spoilers and just know that if you like twisted mysteries, sexy immortals, and a fantastic story then you need this book in your life!!
Thanks to Net Galley, the publishers, and to Lynsay Sands for the ability to read and review this book. All opinions are mine and are completely honest.

I have been a fan of this series for years, but hadn't read the last several books before this one came up on NetGalley. I was happy to be approved to read it, and looked forward to becoming reacquainted with the characters that I enjoyed so much.
One of the things I like best about the series is that you know there's going to be a HEA. These are quick, light reads, perfect for escaping from reality for a short time, and usually advance the world building around the enormous Argeneau family.
This particular story, of Crispin and Abril felt a little rushed to me, and I tried to read it as though I'd never read any of the other books, as if I were just being introduced to the series. I like Crispin, having seen him appear in other books in the series, and was happy to see he found his life mate. I'm not a huge Abril fan, but can't put my finger on just why that is. I loved the dog, Lilith. ;)
I have to admit that if this were the first book I'd read in the series, I probably wouldn't go back to the beginning. The mystery of the bodies in the garden was good. Crispin's stilted manner of speech was not. He's been around almost 3,000 years, and has modernized enough to drive, use electronics, etc., but can't form a contraction? Annoying. The explanation of the origins of Immortals was necessary, but again stilted, and felt like it took up too many pages.
In short, it's readable, fun, sexy escapism. A favorite character got their HEA, we saw some old friends, and solved a mystery.
Thank you, NetGalley, for allowing me to read this ARC

This was a solid 3.5 for me, but rounding up to a 4 for my love of Lilith.
Was this a groundbreaking, earth-shattering vampire novel? No. But was it a cozy paranormal read with a lot of good banter and an interesting plot that helped carry the story along? Absolutely.
Admittedly, I have not read every book in this series, but I have read several within the Argeneau universe. There were some that were a bit too eye-rolly for me (mostly some of the older ones), and some I enjoyed, but I can honestly say this one is my favorite of all that I have read so far in the series.
I loved that this storyline, while heavily influenced by the familiar paranormal tropes, it had the true crime element to it that added a lot to the storyline for me. It felt a bit like that old show "Moonlight" (the vampire Private Investigator), which I loved for all of its cheesiness. I loved that we got to know Crispin and Abril as individuals while they were also getting to know each other, and loved how Lilith remained a large focus of the story throughout and was getting love from all the characters.
I will say there were a fair bit of moments that frustrated the heck out of me (Crispin's dialogue was inconsistent to say the least... he spoke like he was from another time and didn't use contractions one moment, then the next moment, when you're reading his POV, he's saying things like "creepy weirdo"). While some of the characters' cluelessness was adorable, it was a bit much at times, considering they have been working in the modern world for years. But that's me being nitpicky. There were also quite a few moments that felt more "telling" than "showing" and it became a bit of an info-dump, but it wasn't unbearable.
Overall, this book was a fun read that felt fresh due to the intertwined murder mystery plot thrown in there. Many of these stories focus so heavily on the paranormal elements, that there's not much of a storyline, but that was not a problem for this book. The characters were adorable, likeable, frustrating at times, and relatable all in their own ways.
I received an advanced copy of this book via Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving this review. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Please note: This review is coming from someone who has read the entire series and always eagerly awaits the next book, it's my favorite book series. I read a few reviews before grabbing this here, and I was hoping they were wrong but they were far from it unfortunately.
Unlike previous books, this one really does not feel like one you could just dive into despite not having read others, which I feel makes it the first in over 30 books where this could be said. In every other book there is a brief explanation, this one has nothing in the beginning you're just left confused for a good handful of chapters if you've never read anything else in it before. Knowing it's about "vampires" at base can help, but every vampire based world has it's own tricks and differences, so you may be a bit lost if you choose to read this as your first in the series.
THE COUPLE - 1/5
Wow do I hate writing this, but I was so very bored of them. They had little individuality and personality, nothing shined through on either of them. The entire book focused more on a murder mystery aspect as opposed to the usual romance, and this really frustrated me as we've had multiple books from the serious with similar plot points where things were evenly distributed between romance and mystery. Unfortunately, in this addition to the series you learn very little about the characters. You don't even learn what her boss does, it's never out right stated. She never really talks about what type of work she does just that she's the executive assistant? We learn the male lead was a chef at one point - zero details.
We never go back to the characters learning about each other, she never learns he has 22 brothers and sisters - there are so many talking points that were just left out. All the fun of these books has always been the two learning about each other, this felt unbelievably bland and rushed to me, it made me yearn to go back and read others from the series.
Not to mention the more erotic moments in this novel did not have the same smoothness of previous ones, this one felt extremely raunchy and not in a good way. While the premise of most of the novels in this series is very focused on the life mate passion, this one felt like it only focused on that. I'm not quite sure we just completely ignore the characters.
The characters are unbelievably forgettable as I said, the male lead just had the basic "built like a greek god" description, I can't even remember what the female lead was described as if described at all. Hell I think we got more information about what Lucian/Bricker/Decker/Anders looked like in this book than the female lead.
The details in this book are not there, I'm hoping it's just due to it being an early copy and we'll see a more finished version once it releases.
Also can I say I am not sure why we had the main character being irritated with the dog pretty much the whole book, all it did was make her come off as a real b*tch and unlikeable. It seems like such an unnecessary thing, the dog pretty much added absolutely nothing to the story and felt completely pointless other than to make the main character unlikable.
Overall I feel like this couple is quite literally a budget version of Magnus and Allie, very unfortunate. You want a gripping story, go read book 30: Immortal Born. Now there's a mystery with romance and good plot points. I fear this may be the worst book in the entire series.
Murder Mystery aspect 2/5
Finally, some information. It is insane we learn more about the killer than we do the main leads. I don't want to spoil too much, though honestly they figure out who it is fairly quickly they just take their time getting them. This is a 2/5 simply because at least the back story and information was good, pretty gruesome made for an interesting read.
I was hoping for a more unique twist but at least some type of character was brought to the book.

"Immortal by Morning" by Lynsay Sands was given to me by NetGalley in exchange for a review. April is house and dogsitting for her boss in Canada. Her bouse has renovations happening and the dog digs up a human bone. The detectives who come to check out the site are part of the immortal enforcers. When they realize that more is going on that meets the eye, they call in more enforcers. Meanwhile Abril is suspected of being a life mate for Crispin, the one detective. Of course, like all Immortal Enforcers books, there is an HEA and hijinks along the way. I recommend this book for a light read if you don't mind paranormal beings.

Honestly I hav never read a bad book from Lynsay, she has been one of my go to authors since I got back into reading 20 years ago and found her books in the library and devoured them all. This book was no different with the world building, character building and action that were not only realistic but grew with you aand the book so they never stayed stagnent. OMG I just couldn't put the book down, this is well worth a read and the series is something everyone who loves the genre should be reading.

The blurb for "Immortal by Morning" totally drew me in. The actual book, not so much. Maybe it is because I haven't read other books in the series, but I felt like the plot here was super rushed and too little backstory given. (And the backstory that is given...nanos? What? Like seriously, what?). Anyway, too steamy too fast (I love a quick burn but it just made no sense here) and the writing felt kind of painful at times. I did finish the book, which I guess is something? But I don't feel compelled to seek out prior or upcoming books by this author.
2 stars. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a complimentary copy of this book. These opinions are my own.

This is the next book in the Argeneau series. It can be read alone but is more enjoyable as part of the series. In Immortal by Morning we meet Abril Newman who while housesitting her boss's dog and home while it undergoes repairs discovers a body and calls the police. Crispin (Crispinus) Delacourt a detective on the London police force responds to the call. He quickly realizes that this is not a typical homicide investigation. Crispin had not met his mate in the 3000 years of his existence land and once he realizes that Abril is his mate he will do anything to protect her and keep her safe. I loved the chemistry between them. The story was fast-paced and exciting. One of my favorite parts was the cameos of Lucian and characters from previous books. I love the glimpses we get of what they have been up to. I loved this book and can't wait for the next book in this series. I was given this ARC in return for an honest review. Thank you Netgally, Avon, and Lynsay Sands. #ImmortalbyMorning #NetGalley

I have read Sands' Argeneau series from the start. I love the scientific aspect of the immortals life and how they came to be, and following along as each family member and friend found their life mates through every scenario. While this book was classic Sands, I found a lot of repetition in dialogue between the characters unfavorable. Not my favorite in the series, but the story line and plot were spot on.

Great series especially for vampire fans, although the immortals are not vampires, so don't say that in front of them. The Argeneau books are a clever take on the "vampire" and never disappoint - always a good mystery, solid characters, fun banter, and some good sizzle. Really can't go wrong!

I’m a HUGE fan of Lynsay Sands Been reading her work from the beginning of her writing career. So naturally I’ve read the entire Argeneau series, some more than once. I think Crispinus and Abril’s story have already become one of my very favorites. And I know I’ll be reading it again. To say I recommend it is a big understatement. Happy reading. You won’t be disappointed.

I had such a great time with this and really loved the pacing. The pacing for me was very fast and it made reading the book even more exciting.
I also loved the plot twist with in this book because I couldn't guess what was going to happen next which I'm usually good at being able to see what is coming. So I love when a book keeps me on my toes and keeps me immersed in the plot.
Our MC were fun and interesting right from the get go and the way they fed off each other and furthered their romance was engaging and really fun to read.
I loved how protective the MMC was of the FMC right off the bat instead of taking a long time to decide to protect her. I have found a new book boyfriend in Crispin.
