Predictable and repetitive but a damn good time. I love Miranda and will read anything she writes. She always sucks me in and I’m never disappointed

I've been a big Megan Miranda fan for years and her latest thriller You Belong Here lived up to all of my expectations. I'm so grateful that I received this ARC from NetGalley because I devoured this as soon as the download was complete.

When Beckett's daughter Delilah decides to attend the same college where her life fell apart, Beckett is wholeheartedly opposed to the idea. Delilah, being a typical teenager, couldn't care less about her mother's disapproval. But at the very start of the school year, Delilah disappears and Beckett knows that her past is somehow coming back to haunt her. Years before, Beckett's roommate Adalyn vanished after allegedly setting a fire in the tunnels below the college that killed two men. Now Beckett is confronted by people from her past who are convinced that she helped Adalyn escape, and she has to face the secrets from her past to protect her daughter.

Megan Miranda always grabs my attention from page one and has me hooked until the very end. You Belong Here is unpredictable and keeps you trying to figure out who to trust until the last chapter. This is a read-in-one-sitting, five-star thriller.

I really enjoyed the college setting of this book and how refreshing it was to have an over 40 woman as the main character.

The set up of the story was excellent but I was a bit disappointed with the ending. I wanted a couple more twists and intrigue! But still a decent thriller for your beach bag this summer! 🏝️🏖️⛱️👙🌊☀️

New favorite author for me. This book was so well written I loved it so much. I couldn't stop reading it. And when I wasn't reading it I was thinking about it.

This story blends family with history and not being able to outrun mistakes. I do appreciate that Megan's protagonists seen to keep getting older, and I identified with the protective mom instincts in this story.

I loved Perfect Stranger by this author a long time ago and knew I would love this one as well and I absolutely did!

A mother who would do anything to protect her daughter is something I think any mom can relate to. All the while though mom (Beck) has a secret of her own and it's coming back to haunt her and her daughter. I have goosebumps. I think fans of Megan will love this read, I know I did.

I was invited to review You Belong Here, Megan Miranda’s latest thriller, which delivers a gripping mystery with a slow burn that accelerates in its final act. Set in a small college town steeped in past tragedy, the novel weaves dual timelines and eerie secrets. While the pacing lags at times, the tension and twists make for an engaging read. Fans of Miranda’s work will find much to enjoy.

I thought this was an OK read. Started off slow for me but it picked up by the end. I would recommend megan Miranda if you enjoy fast pace thrillers with satisfying conclusions. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for an advanced arc for a honest review.

3.75-4 stars. A woman brings her daughter to the college she attended many years ago, where she thought she left certain things in her past. But of course not everything goes smoothly and according to plan. I thought the first half of the book was on the slower side, but it picked up in the second half. Not the world's best thriller, but there are worse ways to spend your time!

Rounded down because it just wasn't that fun. Well, most of it wasn't. The last 20% or so was great, but the first part and overwhelming majority was disjointed and jarring.

Another excellent page-turner from Megan Miranda! Lots of plot twists and the action was well paced. I was hooked from the first pages and never lost interest. The characters are all believable, with their back-stories and personalities. Highly recommended!

Another solid domestic thriller from Megan Miranda. She delivers the twists and keeps the pace up to keep you flying through the pages.

This is my 2nd book by Megan Miranda, and like the first one I read, this is a slow burn. Miranda does a good job of building a world and telling its story. I was engaged from the start and couldn’t see where the story would go. As I kept reading, I felt like I kept waiting. The book picked up towards the end, but the ending felt a little rushed after all the build up. I enjoyed the story, I just didn’t feel like the ending was as much of a twist as I would have liked. All of Megan Miranda books have a slow burn to them. She builds the story and then leaves you wondering “what just happened?.

This was so suspenseful. We follow a 30 year old crime and a current one that seems linked to it. Twists and turns as the truth behind both are uncovered. Really gripping!

I always enjoy a good book by Megan Miranda! I was ecstatic to receive an ARC of “You Belong Here” and a chance to read the book before release in exchange for my honest review. I got through this book pretty quickly, as it was hard to put it down.

This plot follows a single mother who has a questionable past and had to flee her hometown/college campus due to some circumstances that were behind her control- or were they? Now, her daughter has been accepted to the college unbeknownst to her that she has spent her whole adult life hiding from- what could possibly go wrong? Secrets and scandals- check! Evasive characters- you bet!

I found myself thoroughly hooked into this story and it certainly had all the twists and turns expected of an author like Megan Miranda. The small-town college feel and tendency for small-town folk to hold grudges set the scene for a sordid mystery to unravel. And boy did it. More of a slow burn- but it’ll keep you guessing. The only reason I gave it four stars is that I picked out the culprit earlier than I would have liked-but the related connections were still a surprise.

The end felt a tad bit rushed and I wanted a little more about the aftermath. But overall, an enjoyable book that I would recommend to friends. Thank you Simon Element | S&S/Marysue Rucci Books and NetGalley for this arc. Thoroughly appreciated! This book publishes in July 2025.

I wish I could give this book 10 stars! What a wild, suspense-filled ride from the beginning to the very end. Each time I thought I had it all figured out, I was proven wrong. An amazing read, possibly even the best I’ve read in 2025 so far!
