Loved this so much!! This was such a fun addition to this series I really enjoyed it. Witty and full of funny banter but still a fun story.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The speed was at the right pace. I can't wait for the second book to come out and read it too.

It started great but the plot got stagnant towards the middle/end. It felt like there could have been more banter between Jack and Chloe. It also became annoying how long it took Jack to reveal himself. Overall it felt fun and festive.

This was a fun dark-ish romance! It was a lot different than I imagined but ultimately it was a quick, easy read full of Christmas cheer. And holiday stalking!

While Jack (a NYFD fireman) and Chloe (a...jewelry influencer?? this is a thing?) had all of the ingredients to be a great on-page couple, I personally think this plot needed just a *bit* more refining. It felt like golden boy Jack couldn't commit to Chloe in real life, but was also too quick to commit to a ~ mysterious masked bad boy~ for her. The two wanted to dip into the world of kink through their dark alter egos, but it still felt very vanilla for the things that were being promised between characters. The subplot of Tyler could have been stronger...I thought he was being set up to be another "stalker" but his character fell a flat until the last 10% of the book. It would have been really interesting to see how confusing/scared Chloe could have been to get the two potential love interested mixed up.

Overall, it was entertaining and I think this would be a great intro to dark romance for readers looking for something a little more morally gray in their romance.

Thank you Net Galley and Avon & Harper Voyager for this arc in exchange for an honest review!

Got an ARC of this and… y’all… this might be the cutest stalker romance I’ve ever read?? Like yes, he’s watching her, but also… he’s a cinnamon roll fireman so do with that what you will 😌. Chloe’s out here living a double life influencer by day, spicy content queen by night all while trying to heal from losing her parents. Then Jack strolls in (well… watches from the shadows first, but whatever) and decides he’s gonna keep her safe forever. Is it a smidge over the line? Absolutely. Did I eat it up like it was my last meal? Also yes. Their relationship had me kicking my feet, giggling, and side-eyeing the “monitoring” in the best way. Perfect if you want a fast, fun stalker romance that won’t emotionally wreck you.

3 ⭐️ ARC review for the first Xmas read of the 2026 season... Happy August lol

To say that the MMC here is morally gray... Morally Gray as in charcoal you mean, cause I'm pretty sure light would dissolve and disappear in this book and neverrrr come out the other enddddd.

This man does unforgivable things in the name of obsession and "caring" for her... and then the consequences are MINIMAL!!! Like, barely nothing compared to what I thought would happen! Also, was a near grape scene necessary?? Cause I really don't f**king think so.

Overall, I just think this book felt sort of my expectations in a lot of ways, and it's not just cause xmas in July is ridiculous lol.

🌶️🌶️🌶️- The smut was hot tho. The spice was spicing and the k!nk was king...

I did not enjoy this book but will give it two stars for effort. It may have just not been my type of book or I may have not been in the mood to read this genre but I cannot in good conscience give it more than one star.

This didn’t really have anything to do with Christmas? Like it was snowing a lot and there was some mention about the holiday but the plot was unrelated, which could be a good or bad thing depending on what you’re looking for.

Outside of that I thought it was just an ok romance with very basic characters and plot.

Thank you NetGalley and Alta Hensley for an ARC of He Sees You When You're Sleeping!

I enjoyed this stalker romance. It was spicy, intriguing, and sexy. Jack is a firefighter and has been "stalking" or watching Chloe for 2 years. He's obsessed with her so he watches her for safety and comfort. One day they finally meet and slowly start a friendship that evolves. As they continue, Jack has to decide when and how to come clean to Chloe about his obsession of her.

I received an Arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
As stalker romances go, this might be the cutest I've read lol, Chloe is living a duel life as an influencer and spicy content creator and trying to be true to herself and try to move past the grief of losing her parents. Introducing Jack, our sweet fireman that has been watching over Chloe since the night of her accident. Jack truly wants the best for Chloe but sometimes takes it a little too far in the monitoring department. Their relationship unfolds in a other of fun ways and I really recommend this book for a quick fun read!

I really enjoyed this book. There are fun twists and turns. The stalker vibes come off as shockingly honest and caring. The spice is immaculate. Great spicy book for the holidays!

DNF @ 14%

Jack gave off the vibe of a serial killer who murders women because he was rejected by one in high school. Or Joe Goldberg with no social skills.

I am in general not a dark romance girlie (though I’m open to giving it a try now and then) so definitely take this review with a grain of salt.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon for the ARC!

He Sees You When You're Sleeping is the perfect dark romance Christmas read. We get a handsome firefighter who is the perfect stalker, having watched over Chloe ever since he was a first responder to the accident that took her parents. Jack has a secret, he falls first, and he'll do anything to get Chloe.

Chloe finds herself falling for two different guys: her hot online fan from her secret spicy account, and her sexy local fireman, Jack, who she finds looking out for her and her elderly neighbor during the snow storms. The story delivers on all fronts with spicy romance, tension, and a morally grey, cinnamon roll MMC who goes above and beyond for his woman.

This book is a dark holiday delight, packed with the best tropes: secret identities, found family, trauma healing, and a delicious fireman X black cat romance. I would definitely recommend picking this one up for a festive dose of darkness and spice!

I do wish we got an epilogue though!

If he says one more time how he shouldn't be doing this or how he should stop....
His intentions are honorable and came from a genuine place of concern which is an odd character trait in a stalker.
Some obvious plot holes throughout the first half of the book. Enough to make you question it, but not enough to DNF. As his internal struggles resolved themselves, the storyline was able to progress a bit more smoothly. Some predictability in plot and character development, but I really liked Jake.
This was a slow burn, high tension, medium heat read. The title and cover give dark romance vibes, but it's not. Light grey at most.

He Sees You When You're Sleeping is a dark kinky romance. Chloe is a social media influencer who promotes jewelry and is tired of dating vanilla guys. She has a darker sexual side, which she tries to keep secret because of a morality clause in her work contract. After a snow storm, she meets Jack, a New York fireman. After their chance meeting, Chloe cannot stop thinking about him. Little does she know that Jack has been watching her over the past two years. His original intention was harmless but watching her quickly became his obsession.

I really struggle with the stalker romance trope. It is just too creepy. What woman would stay with a man after finding out he has been stalking her before they “officially” met. This screams way too many red flags for me.

I binged this book in a few hours. On the surface level it was enjoyable, but overall not a book I would pick off a shelf. If you are into the dark, kinky, stalker romance, then this book might be for you.

Thank you NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for providing this book for review. My review can also be found on Goodreads, http://goodreads.com/sara_chisholm

Christmas in August! Yes Please.

I am not sure what it is about a charming stalker that gets me every time. Fireman Jack gave me flashes of Josh from Lights Out. It all starts when he wants to make sure she is ok after her parents death... he doesn't want to her to be alone like her but then he falls hard for her.

Chloe is sweet with a secret kinky side that she is afraid to share with the world. When she finally meets a sweet fireman in he neighborhood, she worried he won't be able to keep up with he desires. Little does she know that he is everything she ever wanted.

This is a very fun, spicy Christmas read. Definitely add it to your list.

I actually had a lot of fun I just wish there was a little more!!! I would have loved to read an epilogue and I wish there was a little less of the beginning of this book and more of the ending if that makes sense. I feel like we went from a lot of back and forth to everything happening really fast. Maybe more groveling, maybe her realizing what she really wanted and exploring that more. I really enjoyed this book and wish I had more.

If you’re looking for a Christmas time stalker romance then this is for you!
Chloe lost her family in a fire two years ago. Jack was one of the responding firefighters. He has been patiently waiting for the right moment to introduce himself to her. Oh all the while he has been stalking her. But as it turns out someone else is interested, her assistant manager has taken notice of Chloe as well.

I enjoyed this book although it took a bit in the beginning to keep my interest.

The thoughts on this is bare minimum except the fact this was a more fun "lighthearted" stalker dark romance.
Did I have a great time with it? Absolutely.

If I had a stalker, I personally would love for it to be someone like Jack because that man is such a cinnamon roll expect extraaaaaa spicy and dark deep down ... I loved every second of it.
Chloe 100% reacted appropriately when everything came to light, especially with the way everything had JUST progressed between the two of them, and I'm just surprised she came back so soon (I would've been back around the next day 💀)

Jack is the sweetest Golden retriever stalker! He keeps chloe safe while helping explore her darker side. Chloe is a strong independent woman who has been through some traumatic things in her past that have kept her from living her life to the fullest. I loved reading how jack helps bring out the best in her and helps her regain her life

I love the Christmas time romance theme and really enjoyed jack and Chloe story!
