"The line between protector and predator has never felt so blurry."
"I want to let go of all my fears and doubts, to embrace this wild, uninhibited side of myself that has been hiding for so long."
Who doesn't love a little Christmas in July? (Cliche? Maybe. But I couldn't help myself.) What starts as a story of a seemingly typical girl next door type and her personal Peeping Tom turns out to be more than I had anticipated. The FMC is a more dimensional character than I had originally gave her credit for. It turned out to be a great reminder that people aren't always what they seem. The MMC is...interesting. His fierceness for observation under the guise of protection constantly conflicts with his immediate doubt and self revulsion of his actions. Sometimes I felt like I was getting whiplash from his flipping back and forth. Rather than being put off, I feel like it dragged me further into the story and propelled my curiosity for what made his character tick. I found myself flipping digital page after digital page late into the night. The only thing that left me a little stumped was a plot twist that I had surmised early on, yet didn't expect to climax when it did within the story. Although, in retrospect it makes sense for when it did. All in all this was a fun read. The spicy scenes were a pleasant bonus to the storyline and were done in such a way that it left me craving the next one. Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager for the opportunity for this wonderful read through NetGalley. All opinions are strictly my own. That said, make sure you check the trigger warnings before giving this book a go. It may contain some things that some may be sensitive to.

i wasn't thrilled with this read. I liked the FMC at first, but the ending just wasn't well laid out of believable. The MMC was wishy washy internally and not at all the alpha male I was expecting.

This book is so fun and cheeky. I love the theme and the spin on words with the title. It is just a great ride, from start to finish.

The blurb got me -- it sounded so delightfully odd and unhinged, I couldn't resist. Mostly this is just poorly written, not very kinky smut.

Dark romance readers assemble!
This steamy, stalker-y Christmas romance is like a peppermint mocha with a shot of something naughty. Smooth, festive, and maybe a little dangerous. I devoured this book faster than I scarf down holiday cookies.
Add this to your holiday TBR this coming winter. I promise, you won't regret it!

In Alta Hensley's book He Sees You When You're Sleeping will teach readers that there's more than meets the eye. The male lead is a morally grey character that will keep you guessing if his intentions are purely selfish or motivated by love. While, the female protagonist will have you trying to figure out why she's paranoid and hides her true lifestyle. Readers that love obsession, dark romance, and sexual will have a great time reading this book. If you love winter holidays but need some spicy romance look no further. Tis the season to read this book.

A jewelry Influencer Chloe who hates Christmas is suddenly surprised with a string of lights outside on her bushes and her walkway snow shoveled. She thinks it's just the landlord who is being nice. But, actually it is someone who has been watching her from the shadows and is determined to keep her safe from afar.
After a chance meeting Chloe meets Jack who is a fire fighter. He is sweet and kind and she likes him, but she's wanting something different, something not so safe. Chloe has an alter ego on an adult website and her watcher finds out about her secret account. Chloe and the watcher meet up through the website unbeknownst to her. But she is living every fantasy she has ever had. Chloe can't decide who or what she wants....Jack the safe choice or the watcher who's willing to divulge her every fantasy.
It's a spicy book that is also lighthearted and sweet. A nice dark romance for Christmas.

Honestly this isn't my typical read but after reading some fluffier dark romances I thought I'd give this one a try and man am I glad I did. So steamy, so fun. I feel like the MMC, while morally grey, was so loving and genuinely cared about the FMC
