I adore sloths so much so I was excited to read this book and while it didn't go as in-depth as I was expecting, I still think it's a solid read for its target readers. Also, the pictures are just so amazing, I love it
Thanks to Netgalley for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

My dad's favorite animal was the sloth. Based on the cover and title, I needed to read it in his honor. I realize that I know nothing about teaching children how to read. There is so much science that goes into it! I love all the ideas and strategies that this book gives on how to read it with littles and how to teach and practice the "the" sound. If you like sloths and you have someone in your life learning to read, this is the book for you!
Teachers of littles, I would 100% add this to my library!

The pictures in this book are absolutely beautiful! This is a great early reader hook. My daughter loved the pictures and the short sentences that were easy to read. And learning about sloths was so fun! Definitely recommend this book!

I absolutely love this! It is focused on the digraph th. My students will be able to read this independently. It is high-interest and they will love the photographs that accompany the text. I would love to see more from this series and I will definitely be adding this to my class library.

This book has beautiful photos and clear, concise language in an easy to read font. I wish that the text had a tiny bit more interest by color matching the photos in darker shades (greens, browns, etc.) just to be a bit more cohesive.

Simple text combines with engaging photos to encourage young readers. Nonfiction informative quick reads like this one appeal to children that fictional books might not. This small book is chockfull of age appropriate sloth facts. It’s a wonderful tool to gain knowledge and become a more proficient reader overall. I will make a note that the numbers aren’t spelled out in word form and that is typically frowned upon by reading programs, but it shouldn’t be a deal breaker when an animal loving child is likely to enjoy this. I’d say this book will appeal most strongly for ages 5-8, but this adult could not pass up the chance to check out the cute sloth photos.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Picture Window Books - Capstone Imprint for providing an Advance Digital Copy for review. All opinions are my own.

This is a nice, short read about sloths. I do think that children will love this book as it has pictures with facts. The pictures are definitely a plus as well

I think sloths are cute so I was looking forward to reading this. I liked the beginning reader level. The illustrations are engaging. I was maybe a little disappointed with the content. Would have liked more facts about sloths but overall a great kids book.

Loved this phonics reader about sloths. Informative for kids and the pictures are great. Not to mention that sloths are cute!!

My kids LOVE sloths, and this book was perfectly informative and equally cute for my fledgling readers! What a lovely book to share- thank you so much!
