This was a strong sequel in the Moonstorm series, it had that element that I was looking for and enjoyed from the previous entry in this series, it uses the scifi elements perfectly to tell the story and had characters that I cared about during the storyline. I was invested in what was happening and how the story unfolded. Yoon Ha Lee has a strong writing style and was glad I got to read this.

It's rare for a YA Sci-Fi trilogy to have a really good solid middle book but Yoon Ha Lee knocks it out of the park. Although it has been a year since I read Moonstorm and had forgotten some plot elements, that did not stop my enjoyment of this book. It is grounded sci-fi that is engaging with excellent writing.
