A huge thank you to the publisher for providing me an eARC copy via NetGalley to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I adored this book. I wasn’t sure what to expect going in, but it was amazing! The writing style flows so easily and I was completely hooked. Vivi was a great character, and the setting of Enchantra and the different games kept me glued to this book.
I loved the romance in this one. I liked the banter between Vivi and Rowin, and I liked the pacing of their romance. The marriage of convenience trope is one of my favourites, and I loved the way that the author paired it with hate to love and also the forced proximity aspect of the Hunt. Vivi and Rowin had great chemistry, and I liked watching them get to know each other better.
Vivi was an excellent character, and I loved her sass and confidence. I giggled every time Rowin told her explicitly not to do something, and then when she did exactly what she’d been warned not to I loved how he reacted. Vivi’s feelings of being an outcast in her own family were relatable.
The Hunt and the different games that they played during it provided lots of entertainment. I really enjoyed seeing the Silver siblings joke and laugh, and I also enjoyed seeing the different dynamics play out between the siblings. There were lots of tense moments and the author did a great job of balancing all the different emotions that were being faced by Vivi throughout the Hunt.
This was a fantastic sequel, and I would highly recommend it. You won’t want to put it down.

If y’all have followed my reviews for a while now, you probably know that I will recommend Phantasma to anyone and everyone who enjoys a dark/fantasy romance. I said I would literally k!ll to get my hands on the second book in the series, Enchantra, and thank the gods it didn’t come to that and I was blessed with an ARC copy!
Again, Kaylie Smith knocked it out of the park!! I loved Genevieve in Phantasma but I really wasn’t sure where else the story could go from where it ended. Oh ho ho, was I in for a treat!! Kaylie provided us with a different but equally sick and deadly game, another wonderful couple to swoon over, and even more side characters to get wrapped up in!
What I loved about the book:
1. Smith provided us with fantastic recaps of book 1, without giving us too much information to the point of being daunting or qualifying as “an info dump”. The key points were brought up very naturally in the flow of the book and we even got to see some of the events in Phantasma from Genevieve’s point of view, which was very cool to see.
2. I loved the annual game the family got wrapped up in, a literal battle to the death, and how it was different from Phantasma but in the same morbid vein. You have a family essentially bound to play a game where there can be one victor and several deaths EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. And it’s capitalized on as entertainment by a devil and his hellish residents.
Similar to Phantasma’s levels, I loved how there were different games with different rules and that there was downtime between games. I found the diversity of the games incredibly interesting and kinda fun (yes, I’m morbid, I know!), and I found the downtime allowed us to get to explore the characters outside of being forced homicidal maniacs.
3. Speaking of which, I loved all the new characters! What happens when a mortal marries a demon and has kids? Those kids are Wraiths!
I especially loved Ellin, who definitely took a special interest in Genevieve being the only other woman in the game. She helped Genevieve and Rowin several times, sometimes in exchange for something and sometimes just because she was the best healer and in her heart was a good person. I really hope we get more of her in the future!
I also really liked Sevin, the charming playboy-esque brother. I loved how go with the flow he was and how he loved rattling Rowin by flirting with Genevieve. I definitely want to see more of him in the future, if nothing else as the comic relief.
And finally, Grave. Probably the strongest sibling, a Void Wraith, which is extremely rare, extremely powerful, and extremely destructive. While he was constantly after Genevieve in the game, I think we can forgive him for that given the rules of the game itself. But why do I feel he is going to capture my heart the most?!?!?!?!? Ugh, I do like a bad boy, and I feel he has so much more turmoil than we understand, I really hope we get to unwrap that delicious package!
4. I absolutely adore Genevieve! She is a curvy woman who speaks her mind, aka perfection. I loved watching her go from someone hiding her magic from her family, to using her magic to save herself and others. I also loved watching her go from someone who was depressed and thus sought out thrills, to someone who saw their true worth and became not just content, but happy with life again.
5. And Rowin. Ah, you handsome devil…er I mean Wraith. A FREAKING SHADOW WRAITH NO LESS!!! (But really, who doesn’t love a shadow daddy??) He was incredibly smart, being the victor year after year in the deadly game, but he was also incredibly caring (though, he definitely wasn’t going to let anyone know that!). He was single handedly trying to solve their mother’s illness, the Crimson Rot, while also allowing his family to see him as a selfish, uncaring jerk! He had so much turmoil in him, just like Genevieve, that they were perfect for one another.
6. I loved Genevieve’s and Rowin’s back and forth! They were so aggressive and passionate that their bickering was like foreplay!
Here is one of my favorite interactions of theirs:
G: Do you? Have a favorite game I should know about?
R: I’ve really enjoyed the one where I ask you to do something, and you simply refuse to fucking do it.
7. Oh, yes. This thing was sexy AF! I would expect nothing less!
Here’s one of my favorites!:
G: I need to feel you worship me.
R: (smirks) I’m a creature of Hell, worshiping is not usually in my nature. (Lowers himself between her legs and flicks his tongue to taste her) But for whatever time you remain in my bed, I will make it your shrine.
8. With this being a marriage of convenience (which, we all know how those work out 😉), I loved the game Genevieve and Rowin played of 2 truths and 1 lie. I thought it was such a clever way for them to get to know each other and for them to be vulnerable with each other, especially as they came to be able to read each other.
So where does book 2 end? With plenty of story left!!!! Salem’s (MMC from book 1) dad really wants him back and the family is on the hunt for the cure to the Crimson Rot for Rowin’s mom. AND! Are we getting a Luci X Grave book?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!? I WOULD DIE!!! There is so much left to enjoy!
Again , I am pleading for a copy of the next book!!!
Thank you to NetGalley, Second Sky/Forever, and Kaylie Smith for the opportunity to read a copy of this book. The thoughts and opinions expressed above are honest and my own.
4.25 stars!

Oh my gosh this book was so good. This was so fun. It’s a play on hide and seek with lots of other little mini games thrown in, the game is not overshadowed by the romance like it was in the first one, the couple in this one is so swoon worthy and I loved our Main Characters so much. There’s so much put into this book between Rowin and his family, and why they’re playing the game. Genevieve is so outspoken and thought out and I really loved her character a lot. I’m really excited to see where this series goes because there were a few loose ends that need explained, and I have several theories for the next book. The way Rowin spoke to Genevieve and the pacing of the romance was so well done in this one. I’m so glad I read this one and cannot wait for the next one and to see these characters again!
Thank you to Forever Pub for the advanced copy of this book.

After the first book by this author had some noticeable plot holes and odd choices by our main characters, this book really stepped up to the plate! As a stand-alone romantasy novel I can not wait to recommend this to customers. Such a easy to follow and bingeable read, I fully could not put it down!

I don’t typically read a lot of romantasy, but when I do, it needs to meet specific criteria. I prefer dark themes and characters that I can connect with, especially an FMC with some snarkiness to her, which is a plus, and steamy scenes comparable to what I usually read. Author Kaylie Smith’s Wicked Games Series felt it was written for a reader like me, and there was no doubt I would continue after reading Book 1, Phantasma.
Phantasma focuses on Ophelia, while Enchantra focuses on her sister Genevieve. Enchantra continues the Hunger Games vibe, which I love, and adds an alliance in a marriage between Genevieve and Rowin to win the games.
These two together! I loved how their romance unfolded. I also found the games incredibly exciting, and their plans to win them were strategic and engaging. I even got a bit emotional at the end. Enchantra was enjoyable, entertaining, and steamy. It was a great read.
Thank you to Second Sky Books, Read Forever, and Author Kaylie Smith for the gifted Advance Reader Copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A deadly game of hide & seek with a bunch of truly dysfunctional siblings.
I had no real idea what to expect for Vivi's book but OH MY GAWDD, I loved it so much!!
Truly, Vivi's antics and grumpy attitude towards Rowin had me kicking my feet and giggling! I loved this insane found family and the dynamics between the siblings (once I could tell them all apart because damn there's a lot of them lol).
Where Phantasma felt like lower stakes, this book actually made me feel worried for the MCs and I was rewarded with the most satisfying moments of hurt + comfort.
The twist had me gasp and the ending in tears, I was ready to cuss out Kaylie for putting me through this agony!

4.25⭐️
The premise of being trapped in an enchanted house playing an elaborate game of hide and go seek where your life could be taken from you at any given moment was both thrilling and entertaining.
Genevieve came off as such a party girl in Phantasma and I thought I was going to have a hard time connecting with her however, that was not the case. Genevieve was so sassy and I loved that Rowin matched her energy. The added element that they were playing with Rowin’s siblings was the perfect touch because it made the stakes in the game so much higher. Not to mention it was heart wrenching watching the games play out when we as the reader had started building connections with each of Rowin’s siblings. Overall, I really enjoyed this one and it was a great follow up to Phantasma.
Thank you Forever Publishing for the arc.

Was this a fun time? Yes! Did it feel a little formulaic and repetitive? Yes. This book hits all the right notes—a dark and sexy MMC mixed with a stubborn and bratty FMC, dangerous games/trials, and a forced marriage. But at times, it felt like the storyline was slightly forced and that it simply needed more time for development. Despite this, I really enjoyed Enchantra and would recommend it to fans of Phantasma or Caraval.

So excited that I was able to snag this as an ARC while it was Read Now on NetGalley! It is so rare for me to enjoy a sequel as much as book one. Dare I say Enchantra is as good as or BETTER than Phastasma??
"Love. Loathing. Same passion, different names."
I was feral for the MMC from the moment the book described his lip ring. I am talking we were about 5% into the book. We got the marriage of convenience trope and it was SO WELL DONE. Genevieve did the Barbara (Palvin) Sprouse, "It's Mrs. Sprouse!", thing (IYKYK).
Other favorite quotes:
"And I won't be showing you any mercy if you lay a finger on my wife."
"It is something you've never seen before. Me. And I'm spectacular."
I do not want to spoil the ending because it is AMAZING, but I will say that it is reminiscent of a very popular love story. Message me when you finish so we can discuss how amazing that ending was!!
Review to be posted on my booksta, toomanyfivestarreads, soon.

I was so excited for this one, even though I’m not a huge Romantasy girl. I found myself flying through this one, not able to stop reading. I loved so much! Thank you so much for the arc!

I was lucky enough to receive the ALC and ARC copies from netgalley for this book.
Oh my goodness. It was absolutely incredible to experience this in tandem!
The narrator is absolutely flawless.
The book itself is so captivating, has so many plot. Twists, has such great character and relationship development, and I just can't get enough!

Thank you to Kaylie Smith, Forever, and NetGalley for an ARC of Enchantra. All opinions are my own.
This was definitely a fun book and kept up the spooky magic vibes of Phantasma. I did think it was a little too similar to Phantasma, though, and thus lost a lot of unique and enchanting vibes the first book had while reading. I wish there had been a bit more individuality from this one, but still it was overall a good read! Excited to read more from this author in the future.
POV: single third person
You can expect: demons, magic, marriage of convenience, forced proximity, touch her and die, “she’s mine”, shadow daddy, competition, “what if we smashed in front of the magic viewing mirrors?”
Rep: memory loss
Spice: 3/5
CW: violence, murder, gore

Okay I LOVED this one! This series is SO GOOD! Again, this book is giving spooky gothic Caraval vibes. Instead of Ophelia, we get to follow her sister Genevieve who gets herself into quite the predicament leading to a marriage of convenience and another set of trials/games run by a demon. These games were more a fight to the death amongst siblings however they’re immortal so they don’t actually die - except for Genevieve. I had a lot of fun with this one - the sibling dynamic was entertaining, the stakes were high, and the fox familiar stole my heart. Could Genevieve and Rowin fallen in love a little more slowly? Sure, but I did still find their relationship enjoyable!

Wow, "Enchantra" is a thrill ride from start to finish! As the second book in Kaylie Smith's series, it really steps up the game. This time, we dive into Genevieve's story, and honestly, I found it even more gripping than Ophelia's tale in the first book.
The plot is like a paranormal "Hunger Games," but with even higher stakes and more intense twists. The world-building is fantastic, pulling you into a realm where danger and magic are around every corner. The Silver siblings are such a cool bunch, each with their own unique personalities that add so much to the story. Their interactions are so fun, making them a highlight of the book.
The romance is spot-on, with plenty of passion and intensity. It's exactly what you'd expect from a great romantasy. The chemistry between the characters is electric, dark, passionate... Kaylie Smith's writing is flawless, making the book super easy to read. The prose flows so smoothly that you just fly through the pages.
The plot is packed with suspense and excitement - there's never a dull moment. Each chapter brings new surprises. Overall, "Enchantra" is an incredibly fun read. If you're looking for a top-notch romantasy, this series is a must-read. Kaylie Smith has truly outdone herself with this installment.

5 Stars
I think I might have even liked this one more than Phantasma - the Hunt and the different games were a lot of fun to follow and I enjoyed how Genevieve and Rowin's relationship developed though I hated all of the Silver siblings' names lol. Genevieve Grimm was a fantastic FMC and had me rooting for her the entire time. I also maybe (definitely) cried at the end after we found out all Rowin did for her after what she lost in her sacrifice (y'all I'm trying to be so vague here lmao but iykyk) - I just love these 2 together so much. I will 100000% continue this series, I'm obsessed with this world and I cannot wait for more!!
Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture Audio, and Second Sky Books for the ARC!

HOLY HELL. This might be my new favorite fantasy writer. I am OBSESSED with this series. Phantasma blew me away and I preordered this immediately. But this one?! I LOVED IT.
You know how I’m in my Hunger Games era? This has a part of it that felt very Hunger Games and I loved it. Think an entire family locked in a house and forced to fight until the death so that just one is left standing. The fantasy with the game, with the banter? Absolute perfection.
I am just obsessed with Genevieve and Rowin. (Hello shadow daddy.) The marriage of convenience aspect KILLED me in the best possible way. That’s one of my favorite tropes.
It was so well executed and the touch her and die and she’s my wife vibes were VIBING.
This book has EVERYTHING you want in a fantasy and I just can’t wait for anything else that Kaylie writes. Seriously. I’m all in with her.

After enjoying Phantasma so much and devouring it nearly in one sitting I knew that I needed to jump into Enchantra as quickly as possible, and I’m so thankful to have received an arc for it!!
I wasn’t really expecting it to be as good as Phantasma, but that’s just because of how unique the book was, and just how much of a hold that it had on me. I really didn’t think it was possible to top it BUT I WAS WRONG!! I Might genuinely like Genevieve more than Ophelia, which is something I never thought I would say, but she was just so REAL, especially with everything that she was going through.
Honestly, everything about this just seemed like such an improvement on the first book, and I have no idea what she put into it but I am SO GLAD!
Even the love interest Rowin seemed a million times more appealing to me, and he had me giggling and squealing like a little girl from the first moment he opened his mouth and started insulting Genevieve.
And we’re not even going to mention just how genius it was to make them GET MARRIED AFTER ONLY KNOWING EACH OTHER FOR 5 MINUTES!!! Ugh it had me frothing at the mouth for what was to come!
I loved how there were so many similarities between this one and the first though! The structure seemed really similar which I was thankful for, as it really helped to tie the two books together.
Having these deadly trials/games take place might honestly be my new favourite thing to read about in a romantasy book. It just added a whole new level of depth to the environment and to what each of the characters were experiencing, and I feel like we got to see everyone at the rawest! Not to mention just how beautifully haunting the descriptions were. Seriously so enjoyable if you’re a fan of a slightly more gothic way of storytelling.

Kaylie Smith lures readers back into her dark and decadent fantasy world with a new story of high stakes, a fake marriage, and simmering romance.
After the events of Phantasma, we follow Ophelia’s younger sister, Genevieve, as she seeks out others like her family, only to find herself at the gates of the mysterious Enchantra estate. Once she steps inside, a new game is in play, one where danger lurks at every corner, and she can’t leave until the game is over—or die.
Instantly, I was enchanted by this new Italian setting with a glittering and luxurious atmosphere. I loved the concept of the hunt-like competition and the addition of this very alluring new cast of characters. The Silver family and their familiars (Umbra! My heart!!) were each compelling and bewitching in their own ways.
Where I devoured Phantasma in a couple of sittings, this book was harder for me to fall into. The mystery and intrigue from each chapter kept drawing me in, along with the depth of Ophelia herself. In this book, those aspects were more difficult for me to find. I wanted more dimensionality from Genevieve, the romance, and the overall story itself. The secondary characters though, The Silvers, did capture my attention quite vividly!
I can’t wait to see if there’s going to be another book in this world and where it will take us next!
*Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me an eARC in exchange for an honest review.*

I absolutely loved this book! I loved Phantasma and Enchantra fully lived up to it.
This book follows Ophelia’s sister, Genevieve, as she travels to Italy to uncover more about her family and her magic. However, she finds herself swept up into a game she never wanted to play.
The chemistry between Rowin and Vivi was undeniable and it leapt off the page. Not only was their romance a joy to read, but the rest of the characters brought such an interesting and fun dynamic to the book.
I really loved Enchantra and would recommend it to everyone. The world was opened up even more from the first book and I can’t wait to see which stories we will get to read next. Such a fun, spicy and entertaining read!

4.5 stars! Thank you to NetGalley, Forever, and Second Sky for this advanced copy.! You can pick up Enchantra on April 8, 2025.
Once again, Kaylie Smith paints a decadent, gothic fantasy world full of devils, demons, and creatures of the night. We follow Genevieve in this story, and I love how clearly her voice comes through. She's different from Ophelia, and she's very aware of that fact, struggling to find her place in the world when her older sister's always known she'd inherit the Grimm title. Where does that leave Vivi?
Apparently, going on a hunt for answers about her mother's past and getting trapped in Enchantra.
Though this plot moved a bit slower at times, I honestly loved the build-up of Rowin and Genevieve's relationship more. Their banter was top-tier, but their vulnerable moments were what sealed the deal for me. Rowington Silver has no reason for being that hot anyway, and being a teddy bear ON TOP of that? Criminal.
Plus, I loved meeting his siblings and feeling their pain at being trapped in an endless Hunger Games. Imagine having to kill your family over and over again? I would not be able to handle it. But despite the Silvers' peculiarities and trials, Genevieve finds a home among them and proves herself worthy of being a competitor in their games.
If you're any sort of marriage of convenience or fake dating fan with a dark fantasy twist, THIS IS YOUR BOOK! Prepare for impeccable spice and sweetness.
