I think I might have even liked this one more than Phantasma - the Hunt and the different games were a lot of fun to follow and I enjoyed how Genevieve and Rowin's relationship developed though I hated all of the Silver siblings' names lol. Genevieve Grimm was a fantastic FMC and had me rooting for her the entire time. I also maybe (definitely) cried at the end after we found out all Rowin did for her after what she lost in her sacrifice (y'all I'm trying to be so vague here lmao but iykyk) - I just love these 2 together so much. I will 100000% continue this series, I'm obsessed with this world and I cannot wait for more!!
Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture Audio, and Second Sky Books for the ARC!

HOLY HELL. This might be my new favorite fantasy writer. I am OBSESSED with this series. Phantasma blew me away and I preordered this immediately. But this one?! I LOVED IT.
You know how I’m in my Hunger Games era? This has a part of it that felt very Hunger Games and I loved it. Think an entire family locked in a house and forced to fight until the death so that just one is left standing. The fantasy with the game, with the banter? Absolute perfection.
I am just obsessed with Genevieve and Rowin. (Hello shadow daddy.) The marriage of convenience aspect KILLED me in the best possible way. That’s one of my favorite tropes.
It was so well executed and the touch her and die and she’s my wife vibes were VIBING.
This book has EVERYTHING you want in a fantasy and I just can’t wait for anything else that Kaylie writes. Seriously. I’m all in with her.

After enjoying Phantasma so much and devouring it nearly in one sitting I knew that I needed to jump into Enchantra as quickly as possible, and I’m so thankful to have received an arc for it!!
I wasn’t really expecting it to be as good as Phantasma, but that’s just because of how unique the book was, and just how much of a hold that it had on me. I really didn’t think it was possible to top it BUT I WAS WRONG!! I Might genuinely like Genevieve more than Ophelia, which is something I never thought I would say, but she was just so REAL, especially with everything that she was going through.
Honestly, everything about this just seemed like such an improvement on the first book, and I have no idea what she put into it but I am SO GLAD!
Even the love interest Rowin seemed a million times more appealing to me, and he had me giggling and squealing like a little girl from the first moment he opened his mouth and started insulting Genevieve.
And we’re not even going to mention just how genius it was to make them GET MARRIED AFTER ONLY KNOWING EACH OTHER FOR 5 MINUTES!!! Ugh it had me frothing at the mouth for what was to come!
I loved how there were so many similarities between this one and the first though! The structure seemed really similar which I was thankful for, as it really helped to tie the two books together.
Having these deadly trials/games take place might honestly be my new favourite thing to read about in a romantasy book. It just added a whole new level of depth to the environment and to what each of the characters were experiencing, and I feel like we got to see everyone at the rawest! Not to mention just how beautifully haunting the descriptions were. Seriously so enjoyable if you’re a fan of a slightly more gothic way of storytelling.

Kaylie Smith lures readers back into her dark and decadent fantasy world with a new story of high stakes, a fake marriage, and simmering romance.
After the events of Phantasma, we follow Ophelia’s younger sister, Genevieve, as she seeks out others like her family, only to find herself at the gates of the mysterious Enchantra estate. Once she steps inside, a new game is in play, one where danger lurks at every corner, and she can’t leave until the game is over—or die.
Instantly, I was enchanted by this new Italian setting with a glittering and luxurious atmosphere. I loved the concept of the hunt-like competition and the addition of this very alluring new cast of characters. The Silver family and their familiars (Umbra! My heart!!) were each compelling and bewitching in their own ways.
Where I devoured Phantasma in a couple of sittings, this book was harder for me to fall into. The mystery and intrigue from each chapter kept drawing me in, along with the depth of Ophelia herself. In this book, those aspects were more difficult for me to find. I wanted more dimensionality from Genevieve, the romance, and the overall story itself. The secondary characters though, The Silvers, did capture my attention quite vividly!
I can’t wait to see if there’s going to be another book in this world and where it will take us next!
*Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me an eARC in exchange for an honest review.*

I absolutely loved this book! I loved Phantasma and Enchantra fully lived up to it.
This book follows Ophelia’s sister, Genevieve, as she travels to Italy to uncover more about her family and her magic. However, she finds herself swept up into a game she never wanted to play.
The chemistry between Rowin and Vivi was undeniable and it leapt off the page. Not only was their romance a joy to read, but the rest of the characters brought such an interesting and fun dynamic to the book.
I really loved Enchantra and would recommend it to everyone. The world was opened up even more from the first book and I can’t wait to see which stories we will get to read next. Such a fun, spicy and entertaining read!

4.5 stars! Thank you to NetGalley, Forever, and Second Sky for this advanced copy.! You can pick up Enchantra on April 8, 2025.
Once again, Kaylie Smith paints a decadent, gothic fantasy world full of devils, demons, and creatures of the night. We follow Genevieve in this story, and I love how clearly her voice comes through. She's different from Ophelia, and she's very aware of that fact, struggling to find her place in the world when her older sister's always known she'd inherit the Grimm title. Where does that leave Vivi?
Apparently, going on a hunt for answers about her mother's past and getting trapped in Enchantra.
Though this plot moved a bit slower at times, I honestly loved the build-up of Rowin and Genevieve's relationship more. Their banter was top-tier, but their vulnerable moments were what sealed the deal for me. Rowington Silver has no reason for being that hot anyway, and being a teddy bear ON TOP of that? Criminal.
Plus, I loved meeting his siblings and feeling their pain at being trapped in an endless Hunger Games. Imagine having to kill your family over and over again? I would not be able to handle it. But despite the Silvers' peculiarities and trials, Genevieve finds a home among them and proves herself worthy of being a competitor in their games.
If you're any sort of marriage of convenience or fake dating fan with a dark fantasy twist, THIS IS YOUR BOOK! Prepare for impeccable spice and sweetness.

I adored phantasma, I raved about it to anyone who would listen, so nobody is more disappointed that this didn’t hit the spot. I don’t think it’s badly written it just wasn’t grabbing me in the same way. I think part of the problem is the FMC, I loved Ophelia but I’m not keen on Genevieve, also the MC, I loved Blackwell but Rowin isn’t doing anything for me which is a shame because he has so much potential. I also think there are too many siblings, they are all merging together, after 38% I know there is a girl and a particularly cruel brother but can’t differentiate the rest. My final gripe is the pacing and vibe, I loved the start where she was getting into the manor, that imagery was great and really intrigued me but since getting in not much has happened. I think this is to give space to meet the siblings and set up the hunt but I still don’t feel like I know them and i’m bored waiting for the hunt to start. i’m also not getting gothic vibes either but maybe that’s just me. I think for me it would have been much better if there were less siblings, at least at the start, and the hunt started quicker.

4.5 Stars! I was absolutely obsessed with this book! From the beginning it had me hooked. I loved the tension between the main characters and the storyline! I loved everything about this!

This book was so much fun and I couldn’t put it down. Phantasma was great but I think Kaylie Smith further knocked it out of the park with this one. All of the characters were engaging and interesting as well as the plot being tense and exciting. I cannot wait to see what will be next for this series and anything else she writes, officially an auto-buy author for me now.

Ohmygawd. I'm obsessed. No really - I am O.B.S.E.S.S.E.D. I loved Phantasma and Ophie/Blackwell but I fell head over heels in love with Genevieve and the Silver siblings. Genevieve was the perfect strong female main lead I needed that kicks ass throughout the games she is (unintentionally) thrown into. The pure tension between Genevieve and Rowin, Genevieve and the rest of the Silver siblings, and each round of the games had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning in the best way. I was kicking my feet giggling even though this second Wicked Game is just as bloody as the first (but I'm not going to think toooo much about that).
I have all of my fingers and toes crossed for many more interconnected stories to this universe. For me it wasn't if I would buy a physical copy of this but in fact how fast I could preorder it.
My biggest thank you to Forever/Second Sky and NetGalley for the invitation to read an advanced copy for an honest review!

'Crawling over the splintered wood, she wedged herself past him and out of the powder room, hauling herself to her feet and towards the front door. Back towards Enchantra's gate.
She was going to get away from this house, this family, if it killed her.'
A massive thank you to Netgalley and Second Sky Books for providing me with an ARC of Enchantra in exchange for my honest review.
What I loved about this book was the entire setting of Enchantra. A mansion in Italy that hosts a series of deadly trials for the family who lives there, and a woman who gets caught in the middle of it through a marriage of convenience? Yes, please! I love books where there is forced proximity and the characters don't like each other very much, and this book had that in spades. I liked Genevieve; she was entertaining and I did like that she could hold her own without being the typical, stabby FMC that often permeates romantasy books.
What didn't work for me so much in this book was the trials. I just didn't think the stakes were overly high, and I was longing for some real, heart rate boosting tension between the main characters, but it just didn't deliver for me. I didn't really feel a great deal of chemistry between Rowin and Genevieve, even though I desperately wanted to. The characters said all the right things, but in the end it just felt a little formulaic.
Overall, I will read more books from this author, as this was a fun read!

Kaylie Smith really knows how to hook a reader in! I fell in love with Phantasma and Enchantra was no different! I loved how strong and forthcoming Genevieve was in book one and her charter did not disappoint in book two! This series will check all your boxes and then some. If you’re looking for a dark romance fantasy with games that will game and the spice that keeps on spicing then this is definitely your next series!

This book was so entertaining. It brought the same violent, romantic, sexy energy as the first book and I highly recommend it especially if you liked Phantasma. The banter was witty, the games were dangerous, I cannot express how much I enjoyed the book.

Thank you forever/secondskybooks + the author for the chance to read an early copy of Enchantra!
What. A. Book.
I wasn’t sure how the games were going to play out after Phantasma, but wow—this follow-up blew me away. The stakes were higher, the banter was sharper, the romance was chef’s kiss spicy, and the world somehow got even darker and dreamier.
🖤 Forced/fake marriage
🖤 Shadow daddy energy
🖤 Deadly paranormal game of hide and seek
🖤 Found family
🖤 Touch-her-and-die vibes
🖤 Demons, devils, wraiths, and more
🖤 Spicy, witty, gritty romantasy goodness
🖤 Can be read as a standalone
Genevieve, our FMC, is a total standout. She’s strong, bold, and never a damsel in distress. I absolutely loved her arc and the way she holds her own in a world crawling with power plays and monsters.
Here are a few quotes I highlighted (and then re-read five times):
🖤 “I need to feel you worship me.”
“I’m a creature of Hell, worshipping is not usually in my nature… But for whatever time you remain in my bed, I will make it your shrine.” (Swoooonnnn)
🖤 “Love did not give a single fuck about time.”
🖤 “Let yourself fall in love. Let yourself fall out of it. You never know when you could lose someone and not have the opportunity to do so again.”
If you’re into fantasy romance with a dark twist, sizzling tension, and unputdownable pacing—this one’s for you. Enchantra is an addictive, wicked ride I’ll be recommending to everyone who loves a touch of shadow with their spice. 🔥

What a fun rollercoaster of a book! Let's talk characters. Genevieve Grimm is a confident queen who I want to be my BFF stat. She doesn't let anyone push her around, she's strong, brave, and protects those she cares for. I LOVE her as our FMC! Rowin Silver is our shadow daddy who could teach Xaden some lessons. He loves his family HARD and has a heart of gold. He also has piercings and tattoos soooo‼️‼️. The rest of the Silver clan - I want Ellin to be in our BFF circle too and also I'm claiming Covin Silver as mine (okay and Sevin too). Love the other siblings as well; they're all so different, which is quite the feat to accomplish!
The plot - LOVED the idea of The Hunt and that's all I'll say! There were some fun twists and turns along the way that kept the idea fresh and put different spins on the game. There were definitely some things I didn't see coming. I even teared up at the end which I did NOT have on my bingo card. I have a feeeeeeling where book 3 is going and I'm so here for it!!!
Overall, I absolutely adored this book and if you loved Phantasma you will LOVE this one!!!
Thank you so much to Kaylie Smith, Second Sky, Forever, and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read prior to release day on 4/8!

I LOVED Phantasma and somehow this was even better.
I wasn’t sure on Genevieve after reading Phantasma but oh my gosh do I love her now. And Rowin? Holy moly. This book.
The story was captivating from the get go and although it again centred around a game set inside a house it didn’t feel like a rehash of Phantasma, it was completely different but highly enjoyable. I liked every single character in this book. It was high stakes, spicy and I could not get enough. I laughed, gasped, cried even stomped my feet. I’m going to need 7-10 business days to get over this. I will 100% be convincing everyone that will listen to pick this up on release day. I cannot wait for further instalments in this series!
Thank you to Second Sky Books and NetGalley for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Enchantra! It’s the second book in the series and set on an estate in Italy. Genevieve is Ophelia’s sister, and she accepts an invitation that was meant for her mother. When Genevieve arrived, she is turned away by handsome, mysterious but rude, Rowin. She finds a way inside and immediately regrets it. Unfortunately, she is now trapped and her freedom comes with a price. This was such a fun and entertaining book to read! I enjoyed the world building, the complex characters, the witty banter, drama and romance. Kaylie is such a whimsical storyteller and I felt like I was experiencing everything right alongside the characters.

I loved this book. Loved the chemistry and banter between characters. There were secrets, mystery and twists. We get to see things from Vivi’s perspective. As soon as Vivi Enter Enchantra to find out the answers, she gets trapped in the premise and the game has began. Just like phantasma, there are different rounds of hunt. But there is more than the deadly game. The chemistry between characters is undeniable. Romance is spot on. I highly recommend it. The book will leave you longing for more. Thanks to the Publisher for giving me early access to this book.

Thank you to Second Sky and the author for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
Anything Kaylie Smith writes, I will love. “Enchantra” had me on the edge of my seat and in a whirlwind of emotion. Genevieve and Rowin’s dynamic felt very real and Smith did a great job of bringing life to even the most minor characters.
I only have one gripe. I loved “Phantasma” because it was original, it didn’t feel like anything I’d read before. “Enchantra” was not that way. To me, it was a blend of “The Hunger Games” and Smith’s own Heartless Fates series. I love both of those series but I did experience some deja vu.

Thank you so much for approving me for this ARC :) I struggled a little with the pacing of Phantasma but this was SOOO much better. I enjoyed the characters much more and had a lot more fun with this book. Particularly the individuality of the siblings.
The only issue I faced is that the pacing *still* isn't perfect. I often felt like I had whiplash trying to keep up with what was happening. It's usually a good thing to have twists and turns on the page, however when it happened so often it was a little hard to keep up in my own head. However if you're looking for a fun, spooky read, with good characters that's fast paced - this is the book for you
Overall I had a blast with this book and i'm sure others will too :)
