Enchantra is an intoxicating blend of deadly intrigue, forbidden romance, and a game where the price of losing is death. This is the second book in the Wicked Game series. This time, we follow Genevieve Grimm, Ophelia's sister, who has disappeared. Genevieve Grimm is determined, clever, and unwilling to back down. When her mother's death leaves her searching for answers, she finds herself at the gates of Enchantra, a cursed palace.

From the moment Genevieve forces her way inside, the story twists into a deadly game of deception, power, survival, and spice...plenty of spice. The palace is a labyrinth of illusions and secrets, where Rowin's family is forever trapped in a brutal contest. Rowin is everything you want in a MMC. With no choice but to play, Genevieve strikes a deal with Rowin and pretends to be madly in love to outwit their enemies.

The romance sizzles with slow-burn intensity, sharp banter, and the delicious torment of longing. Genevieve knows she can't trust Rowin, but their forced alliance keeps pushing them closer. The chemistry is electric, the stakes are high, and every story twist has you guessing what will happen next. With gorgeous writing and a gothic atmosphere, the book will grip you and never let you go. Enchantra is a must-read for all fans of delicious dark romance.

Thank you, NetGalley and Second Sky, Forever, for the opportunity to review and provide my honest feedback.

I finished this book in one sitting. The forced proximity was amazing. It was perfectly spicy, intense, dark, and the magic was really well written. Loved everything about it!

I will read book 3 the moment it hits the shelves, mark my words.

I really enjoyed this follow up to Phantasma! I found Enchantra was less spooky/haunted house than Phantasma was. This one was more just a really high stakes game of hide and seek but the characters were fantastic, the magic was stunning and I loved the relationships between everyone. I'm excited to see what Kaylie Smith does next!

Kaylie Smith does it yet again…

This had me enchanted from the first few chapters, a very good storyline and after reading Phantasma not long ago I was already so invested into seeing what happens with Genevieve.

I absolutely love a strong and confident FMC who can own who she is and this gave exactly those vibes. The main MMC was literally the definition of a book boyfriend with touch her and die vibes. The spice was SPICINGGGG in all the right ways🌶️

Overall I really enjoyed this and would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good spicy fantasy romance with paranormal aspects.

💀Touch her and die
💙Marriage of convenience
💀Fake dating
💙Shadow x sunshine

“Shadows can only be seen in the presence of light. I worry when you leave, there will be no one left to see me.”

Another incredible book by Kaylie Smith!! I swear her books have crack in them because I am obsessed (Ive never tried crack but you get the idea 😂). The vibes in this book were immaculate, it has been one of my favorite things about this author’s writing so far! For someone who cannot picture things in their mind, she really has a way of bringing the setting to life regardless. The game scenes were ruthless and so fun to read!
The characters in this story were fantastic and the banter between the siblings was spot on, I loved every second of their bickering and playfulness. and of course, the fmc and mmc were flawless. Loved them, their personalities and their growth. and I looove a fake dating trope 🤪 overall, this was such a fun read and Kaylie is no doubt an instant buy author for me - so talented!

🗣️🗣️🗣️"that's my wife"

Genevieve Grimm has felt alone and adrift ever since her sister became the head of the family. So when a mysterious friend of their mother's invites her to Italy, she accepts without hesitation. She arrives in the middle of nowhere and finds a hidden palace in Tusscony

The owner's handsome son (Rowin), to slam the door in her face demanding her to leave and not return. But Genevieve follows nobody's orders. She slips inside and ends up being ensnared in the Hunt.
Rowin's dysfunction family are cursed and are stuck in the loop of playing the eternal game of the Hunt.
Which is a survivor like TV show for the lower species of hell betting on who will win. One winner is granted freedom and the rest will be trapped in Hell... until the competition begins again. However only family members can play, Genevieve must marry into the family to survive.

This book was everything I was hoping for it to be. High stakes, banter and smoldering scenes.

Genevieve is a larger than life character who is charming and headstrong. No to mention she's a fighter but also has her flaws.

Her hot hubby is a shadow daddy with piercings (Several), who is displeased with being bitten... But will stop at nothing to protect her from those who hurt her.

This books has all the best tropes:
💜Arranged marriage
💜That's my wife
💜Deadly games
💜Forced proximity
💜Enemies to lovers
💜Touch her and you die
💜Fake dating

While this is the second book in wicked games it could also be read as a standalone.

Definitely for those who enjoy deadly trials, paranormal fantasy and romance.

I was so excited for this book after devouring Phantasma. I finished Phantasma in the span of a few hours, and I read Enchantra just as quickly! For me, Phantasma felt a bit more gothic, a bit more horror - like Caraval meets An American Horror Story. Genevieve’s story in Enchantra felt a bit more like pastel goth - it didn’t have the same bite. I still enjoyed the book, but the story was not quite as compelling as the first installment in the series. I wanted more build from the enemies to lovers, and the villain didn’t have quite the same stakes for me. Overall, the stakes felt higher in Phantasma - leaving the challenge aspects of Enchantra lacking. I loved Genevieve’s spitfire personality and I loved seeing the different siblings and their familiars. Rowin hits all of my shadow daddy favorites - and I like him more than Blackwell to be honest. I would die for Umbra and was more worried for her than any person. I love the world building that Kaylie Smith does and I want to see more. I am hoping for another book in the series to round it out and hope that this just had the second book lull. There are definitely some ways to continue this series and I am super excited to see what Kaylie Smith comes up with next! Thank you so much to NetGalley and Second Sky for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book! This review is my own opinion and thoughts - and I can’t wait to see what y’all think of it too!

Following the events of Phantasma, we find that while Ophelia and Salem have settled into their new eternal home life quite well, Genevieve has long since been suffering from feelings of displacement and abandonment since her childhood. Her journey of self-acceptance leads her to a mysterious manor called, Enchantra. Here, she becomes entangled in a long-standing family curse via a very real, fake marriage.

Enchantra was a great follow up to Phantasma. I loved Vivi and Rowin's story so much. I enjoyed the same deadly trials format and absolutely ate up the marriage/forced proximity tropes. The setting was great, and I loved the glimpse into Hell. I am a little feral for Rowin at this point. Both characters deserve the absolute most. I am proud of Vivi for her growth. I can't wait to see her and Rowin in their own space, living their best lives together.

The ending of this book did a nice job leaving a couple potential threads to be pulled later on. I would love to see all four characters problem solve together next.

Thank you to NetGalley, Kaylie Smith, and Second Sky/Forever for allowing me access to the e-arc.

This was such a fun read. It’s more romantic and spicier than Phantasma. I liked how the story revolves around a family curse, and the siblings have to compete with each other. I will say that I loved Phantasma more. Phantasma had more of a dark atmosphere and wicked games. I wanted a bit more wickedness in this book. Regardless, I enjoyed my reading experience. I can’t wait to read the next book potentially in this series. The way the book ended has me intrigued. I highly recommend this book!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my Advanced Copy. All thoughts are my own. Just like its predecessor Fantasma, this book had a lot of heat. What impressed me the most was the humor that the author managed to swirl in throughout the book. It made the siblings seem more realistic and enhanced the character development. The underlying story kept you engaged.

I think I would have benefited from reading the first in the series because clearly there were important things that happened that set up for this book. That being said, it was very interesting and kept me reading, albeit, not as spicy as some indicated. The world building was intriguing, I didn't love all of the characters (to be expected considering who they were) but the ones I did enjoy, I really liked. Finished in one sitting. Overall, quick and entertaining with mild spice.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a digital ARC of this title.

"If You Wanted To Be Choked, All You Had To Do Was Ask."

"I've Really Enjoyed Where I Ask You To Do Something And You Simple Refuse To Fucking Do It."

"All I’ve ever wanted was freedom from this wretched game, and I didn’t even hesitate for a second to give it up.”

“Shadows can only be seen in the presence of light,” he told her, the words agonized. “I worry when you leave, there will be no one left to see me.”

“Love. Loathing. Same passion, different names,” he told her. “And how easily and swiftly the line can be blurred, don’t you think?”

“Before you, I was going to spend my eternity alone, in the darkest parts of Hell. I’d much rather spend a single lifetime in your light."

Kaylie has done it again! At this point I would gladly read her grocery list!

Phantasma was one of my favorite reads last year so I had really high hopes for Enchantra and it did not dissapoint! I already loved Genevieve in her sisters book but I love her even more now! I love how she's outspoken, confident and just unapologetically herself.

I really love the found family trope and I think this book has one of my favorites now! All of Rowin's siblings have stolen my heart and don't even get me started on Umbra his shadow fox familiar!
The tension and the slowburn was delicious and I'm really big on banter so I was very pleased with the fact that there is plenty of that between everyone!

I inhaled this book and was giggling and kicking my feet up constantly and pterodactyl screeching at the end (sqealing does not cover the sounds I made!) The vibes were kinda like Phantasma but also very different if that makes any sense! I can't recommend it enough and I can't wait for the next book!

Thank you so much @kayls @readforeverpub and @secondsky for granting me an early copy

Holy smokes. That was so good! I loved the first one but I think I enjoyed this even more. The ending took me by surprise, I was not at all emotionally prepared for it haha. Rowin is so hot, Genevieve is an airhead with a viper bite and I love her. Getting to know her and story, and they way came together was perfect. Excellent. The story is really well written and well paced. I thoroughly enjoyed this book so much.

Thank you so much to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC opportunity

I enjoyed this book and I love that it had marriage of convenience and shared bed trope! It was definitely different from the first book but I loved that it still had a game the characters had to play. My main reason this was only a 4 star read is I wished the rounds were different games and not just hide and seek but it made sense for the story line

I appreciated receiving this ARC since I LOVED the first in the series, Phantasma. This was fun, too. 3.5/5

Admittedly, I didn't like this one as much as the first. I LOVED Genevieve, the main character, but I think we needed to see more of the love interest to know his personality and be convinced of their love story. (But there was a lot of action and a lot of characters, so not a lot of room for backstory.) There were some errors and it was a bit slow in the beginning, but I think I got a version that wasn't edited completely so that's understandable.

But overall, I liked it. In fact, I stayed up late reading it because I was hooked. Finished it in less than 24 hours. 🤣 If you look past some things, and you like fantasy romance with action, animals, and magic, you'll most likely enjoy this too.

Just read Phantasma first. The characters return, which I love in a series, and the ending sets up a plot for another book which I'm 👏 totally 👏 here 👏 for 👏.

Also, the quote by Emily Dickinson in the front is one of my favorites. That extra literary touch in these books just does it for me. 💕

4.75 Stars

YASS, I love this series! Genevieve was actually so iconic and Rowin and his family had me cracking up! Although I liked Phantasma more (I thought Ophelia and Salem were cuter and the phantasma game was better), this book was still really, really good! I am hoping and praying that there is going to be another book in this series!! Fingers crossed everyone!

I LOVED Phantasma and this installment is equally amazing. The overall vibes and atmosphere felt different from Phantasma and it was an overall extremely fun and entertaining read. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! I am obsessed with this series so far, and dare i say, know who the next book is going to be about???? And if I’m right!? I am foaming at the mouth for it🥵 And the little twist at the end was honestly so good!

Rowin was 🥵 he didn’t beat out my boy Blackwell, but he was close for sure. Now, i did love Genevieve, but i do wish she would’ve been able to save herself every once in a while, instead of always relying on everyone else. UMBRA SOUNDS LIKE THE CUTEST AND I NEED CHARACTER ART OF HIM ASAP!!! I loved that little fox.

I've rounded up my rating to 4 stars becuase there were some good and some bad parts about Enchantra.

On the negative side, I put down the plot. I mean, it was Phantasma 2.0. Genevieve Finds herself in Enchantra, which is basically Phantasma but in a different place with a different meaning of existance. Also the ending, felt quite similar to Phantasma's.

But, and that's a big but for me, I have really enjoyed reading it, and I've read Enchantra in less than two days. I was intrigued with Rowin, the mmc, his siblings and everything else surrounding their lives. And Umbra!!! I definitely love Umbra.

Overall, I liked Enchantra, even though it wasn't as a exciting as Phantasma when I read it the first time. Still, the story is intriguing enough that I'll definitely continue the series.

THank you Forever Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
