I read Phantasma, and knew I wanted this book too. I honestly did not think I would get an Arc, but I did. I am forever grateful. This was definitely one of my favorite reads. I love the different scenery, the different characters. Many times the characters sort of mesh and end up being similar in all the books, but her character while irked me a few times, was still very enjoyable. The spice was better, and definitely open door. I appreciate the differences in development, strength, and weakness she is able to get through. This was a great read. I recommend to anyone that likes some ghostly trials.

Kaylie Smith delights with another installment in this gothic world! I loved every second of it and am so excited to tell my readers. Gothic romance is much needed in the community and this delivered.

Rowin and Genevieve are everything, so is their chemistry and banter. A game where only one can win along with demons and magic. This was different than Phantasma but just as great. I don't want to say too much but if you loved Phantasma then you'll love this one, too.
A big thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for this ARC.

So Much Fun—A Perfect Binge Read!
Enchantra was such a blast! I honestly didn’t know how Kaylie Smith would transition away from Phantasma while keeping the same vibe, but she nailed it. The energy, the humor, the vibe—all still there, just with a fresh twist.
Set during the spring equinox in Italy (yes, please!), we get a broody shadowy MMC and I don't know if I'm a huge fan of Genevieve but really loved the new characters in this one! Really hoping there's more to come! The banter between Genevieve and the MMC is everything.
The magical games were a highlight for me—honestly, I think I liked them even more than Phantasma! And the addition of both found family and actual family side characters made the world feel bigger and more lived-in. It’s got me hyped for what’s next in this series/world.
I’m fully on board for more interconnected standalones like this. It’s fresh, fun, and full of heart. The perfect binge read for fantasy lovers! 💜

I loved Phantasma. It felt like an adult version of caraval which I also loved.
Enchantra however, just didn’t live up to my hopes. I didn’t love the FMC. She just acted too childish. I understand the backstory that was attempted, but it all felt like complaining and whining.
I didn’t care at all about what happened to her. I was more invested in the back story and how Enchantra related to Phantasma story.
I want to read more from
This world. But I hope
It focuses more on the main story and isn’t rushed / awkward sex scenes .

I was worried about how this second novel would continue after the end of Phantasma, but I'm happy to report that the energy has remained the same and we executed excellently! Such a FUN read with a spring equinox setting in ITALY with our broody shadow MMC (in love with him btw). The FMC creates amazing banter with the MMC, and the games in throughout the book were super fun! Some found family (and actual family) within the side characters allows for a deeper emotional connection between the reader and characters as well. Overall very fun and great to get out of a reading slump :)

l've been putting off writing a review for this book for days, not because I didn't enjoy it, but because I did, so much.
Enchantra had me in a chokehold from the very first page and unlike Rowin, it left marks. The characters are incredibly lovable, and the descriptions create such vivid imagery that I felt completely immersed in the story.
I rarely stay up late reading, but I couldn't put this book down. I was completely obsessed.
Rowin is everything I look for in a male love interest. it felt like Kaylie Smith had a checklist of all the traits I adore. Vivi was such a relatable and sassy character to follow, she brought so much to the story. It always means the world to me to read about plus size characters that are comfortable in their skin but are also desired. As a plus size girl I find this representation to be so important, I felt like Kaylie did a fantastic job with the portrayal.
It’s been weeks since I’ve read this book and I still can’t stop thinking about it. I'm already eagerly anticipating the next book.
Thank you Second Sky Books for the
ARC it was such a joy and the highlight of my March reading.

4.75 ⭐️ Rounded up because of f**king course I'm rounding this one up to a full five stars!.
First, a huge thank you to Net Galley and Kaylie Smith's team for providing me with an eARC for this book. I have no words. Seriously...It is 2 am, I literally just finished this book, and I'm... speechless, I think? In love, maybe. Obsessed for sure! Omg I'm not sleeping tonight, am I?
I cannot begin to describe how much I love the Wicked Games universe, the world, and the atmosphere Kaylie Smith is able to bring to life. It's so amazing, and with such a unique and specific vibe that I find myself having trouble describing the feeling of it all. Old-school gothic-chic, perhaps? Romantic, and dramatic, and heavy, and mesmerising in a dark and sensual way. Truly just outstanding.
This second book follows Genevieve - Ophelia's sister - to Italy, where she ends up trapped in yet another haunted house and tangled in yet another wickedly murderous game -and much like her sister in book #1, she finds herself saddled with an unexpected but not totally terrible partner. Rowin, our MMC, is a Wraith, and his family has been trapped by a Knox, an absolute DILP (Devil I'd Like to Punch)*Patent Pending lol* in Enchantra, their state and mansion, where they're bound to kill and torture each other for eternity. Except Rowin hasn't given up and still believes there's an ending to it all. And with Genevieve by his side, he might just have a chance this time...
Listen, I'm not one to tell other people what to do. I hate it when people tell me what to do. Demand avoidance? She's my middle name, best friend and social security number. But seriously... just read this book. If you're reading this review and you're like mmm... I'm still on the fence about it, Is this book really worth my time, and my money? (both very valuable currencies atm, I get it) THE ANSWER IS YES! Yes, it is. No, you will not regret it. And I know you're thinking "tf do you know, girl, you don't know me!?" and honestly: valid. But also, I'm right and you're wrong. Sorry.
Am I claiming that this book is perfect? NO. By no stretch of the imagination. The perfect book probably exists but it lives in the spaces where my mind is shaped in one way or another, when I'm thinking and feeling one thing or another. Myself from tomorrow's favourite book, is not myself from today's favourite book. And there are some great books out there. I would know, I've read a bunch of them. This one included.
There were things I would change, perhaps, but every uncomfortable or slightly askew aspect in this novel serves a purpose. Every painful page or every stab of longing made for a better story, and I really do believe that.
I don't tend to give 5-star reviews. I just think excellence is something that comes very, very rarely and should therefore be reserved for the absolute best of the best. And this book didn't fully reach that peak, but only because I am nitpicky af, and like I said, sh!t got painful there in some moments! Still, what. a. ride.
I truly cannot wait for Book #3. Also, is it just me, or is someone else getting "Luci as the next FMC" vibes?
🌶🌶.5 /5 - This is spicy, but not all the way scorching. It's very much open-door. It's very much hot. But there's nothing that will make a nun go cross-eyed... Does that make sense? Am I in full delirium? I really should go to bed now lol.

I was worried going into this that I wouldn't love Vivi's story as much as I loved Ophelia, but I was wrong. It loved this just as much! And I loved Rowin as much as I loved Blackwell. I'm so excited to see what book 3 brings!

This was fun! It took me a while to get into it but once The Hunt started I was hooked!! Looking forward to more reads from Kaylie Smith!

I had an opportunity to read eARC of this amazing second book Enchantra by @kaylsmoon from @secondskybooks @readforeverpub
This book is following the Genevieve, sister of Ophelia from Phantasma. I loved this book! I read it within 24 hours of receiving the email. Again! This book is giving gothic vibes. Genevieve has been secretly writing to a stranger who knew her mother and when he invites her over, she landed in a predicament leading to a marriage of convenience and set of trials/games. This one is more life hide and seek! If you get caught, you de. This book has plus size representation with found family and siblings dynamics.
Phantasma was one of my favourite book of 2024 and now Enchantra is my favourite for 2025 so far! We meet Rowin Silver in this book who is the undefeated player of the game. He is forced to play the game to save his mother.
Misunderstood by his siblings, he still continues to find a way out. When he is offered a chance to partner up with Genevieve, he sees an opportunity to finally get rid of the demon.
The plot has a game which a devil forces the family to play, each sibling gets to choose the theme and if you get caught, either you k*ll them or they k*ll you. The residents of hell are the audience that watches the game. The concept, execution and character are perfectly written.
I would recommend this book to everyone who loves spooky and deadly vibes with a mix of magic and grumpy characters.

Omg Kaylie did it again!! I devoured this book in 24 hours. I didn't think any character could top Blackwell, but Rowin is right up there with him. Enchantra pulled me into the world right away and the plot was paced well, and the characters were well developed. It definitely lived up to my expectations and I can definitely see this being a book I re-read over and over again.

“Genevieve Grimm’s first murder was in the heart of Rome”
“She was going to get away from this house, this family, if it killed her”
“You’re going to tire yourself out long before you hurt me, trouble”
I absolutely loved Phantasma so I knew this book would have brought me back to that same excitement and thrilling sensation I was feeling while reading book one. I was interested by the character and curious to see what her journey would have brought forward. And I was right. Genevieve is such a funny, bright, determined, curious and impulsive character to follow. And Rowin … oh my friggin goodness that man !!!! Shadow daddy to the power of three!!! I am obsessed. Everything in this book made me excited. From the action, the narrative, the way the scenes are following smoothly one another without any interruption that feels forced. The banter between the two main characters and their spicy scenes , which , to be fair , compared to those of Ophelia and Blackwell were stronger and way more in quantity (of course always appreciated). And the way this man treats her … oh my friggin goodness, what is it that this author puts in her book boyfriends that always makes me head over heels in love with them? Please, tell me the recipe!!! Reading this book a bit much further away from Phantasma made me want to reread that book all over again and whenever the two characters were mentioned I felt butterfly and giggles in my stomach. But these two new characters bring forward a new kinda grumpy/sunshine dynamic with forced proximity and marriage of convenience, in another kinda Caraval setting that will make you feel magic and love and respect and excitement all in the same page. I’m so glad I got to experience this book !!!! Now I need physical copies of all of them !!
“Sometimes I think it’s best not to chase after things. Sometimes all we can do is let them go and hope they come back on their own”
“She’s mine”
“Shadows can only be seen in the presence of light … I worry when you leave, there will be no one left to see me”

liked this one just as much as the first! It has a great mix of adventure, danger, magic and spice! I hope she keeps writing this series for a long time!

This book was a blast to read. When I heard Genevieve was getting he own book I couldn't be more excited. I enjoyed the setting, the atmosphere, and the characters. I like that Genevieve is a fat character but there is no fatphobia which is refreshing to read. Rowin was a wonderful Shadow Daddy love interest and the whole Silver Family I know want a book with Ellin, Grave or Sevin.
Overall, this was a fun, suspenseful and cozy romance fantasy with high stakes. I can't wait for more from Kaylie.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for a copy of this book! 😊 this was me trying a genre I don’t normally read and finding that maybe dark romance fantasy isn’t for me. I liked the premise of this but I wanted more of the trials and plot. There was a little too much spice for me. I liked the characters but felt I was missing some depth with them. Overall I enjoyed this just not my favorite thing I’ve read.

ENCHANTRA switches gears and puts Genevieve front and center as she goes off to an Italian tour, searching for answers of her own. She finds herself at yet another mysterious estate, much like the one in the previous book, only this time around the consequences are even more dire. Forced to participate in the residents’ wicked games (after forcing her way into the villa, no less), Genevieve is fighting for survival while also trying to protect her heart from a certain someone.
Fast-paced, immersive, and darkly magical, Enchantra is a delightful follow up to Phantasma. While it still holds the charm that I fell in love with in the first book, this one has an altogether different feel as we have a new setting, new manor, and new cast of characters. From the first book I wasn’t sure how much I would like Genevieve. She seemed vapid, self-centered, and without a care in the world, other than her needs. I’m glad to say this book changed my perception of her and I ended up LOVING her character.
The ending alludes to more to come in this phenomenal world, and I for one will be waiting with bated breath for anything else by this author. I adored this book and I absolutely adore Genevieve and Rowin. 5 stars. Pick this series up if you enjoy:
➸ Enemies-to-lovers
➸ Forced proximity
➸ Strong FMC
➸ Mysterious MMC
➸ Dark magic
➸ Medium spice
➸ Immersive, mysterious world
➸ Deadly games

Witchy, romantic, and packed with secrets — Enchantra gave me major “Hocus Pocus meets ACOTAR” vibes. Some tropes felt familiar, but I didn’t mind; the lush world and slow-burn romance kept me hooked. Perfect if you're in the mood for magical drama and found-family feels.

Genevieve Grimm heads to Italy to try a connect with an old acquaintance of her mother’s when she’s suddenly sucked into a devil’s ruthless game. Forced to marry in order to best conquer and win the game, Genevieve and Rowin must convince everyone of their short and passionate romance. Genevieve and Rowin slowly begin to confide their dark pasts and true motivations they bury deep within. As the different challenges test them, Rowin and Genevieve begin to realize how stronger they are together. But will they be able to outsmart the devil and win the game?
With a dynamic and enthralling cast of characters, you can’t help but be transfixed and obsessed until the you get to the end. I am eagerly anticipating the next installment!

Last year, I decided to try more genres and jumped into a Phantasma buddy read. I was obsessed! When I heard there was a book 2, I couldn’t get it soon enough! This one is more of a spinoff with the sister, Genevieve, invited to Enchantra, a cursed palace in Italy. I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect after book one, but this book kept the same energy and kept me completely enthralled. A new shadow daddy, a new deadly game, a new budding romance, it has all the same elements of Phantasma that I desperately missed! Honestly Enchantra dialed up the romance story a little more than its predecessor. It was so fast paced and I couldn’t get through it fast enough. I loved the ending and hope to see more of these sisters!
