A solid 3.5 stars. A tennis sports romance, sign me up every time. I enjoyed the tie in from the first book and can’t wait for the next two.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for the digital ARC. All opinions are my own.

5/5! This is going to be a huge hit! I absolutely loved the banter, the intelligent conversation between the main characters and the lack of toxic relationships (yay)! The tennis was fun and competitive without being too much, but the main stars were Dylan and Oliver! I fell in love with them both and was sad to finish the book. More, Meg Jones!
ARC read (March 2025). Publishing Aug 2025!

This was an extremely light, fun read that's perfect for fans of The Challengers and sports romance in general. I certainly enjoyed reading it and can't wait to further explore the author.

4.5 stars for Game Point! This was FABULOUS!!! 🎾🫶🏼

I am definitely back in sports romance era after reading this sizzling friends to lovers romance from Meg Jones. I seriously devoured this book, it’s so yum! 😻

DYLANNNN!!! My girl…I needed someone like you. So frequently FMC’s who are written as competitive are read as mean & arrogant …but this was not that case! Dylan’s character was fierce, determined, and her growth & mindset shift was amazing! 🏃‍♀️😤❤️‍🔥

Oliver, sweet golden retriever. I can’t get over him and how he approaches his relationship with Dylan. Gosh it was so perfect. He is a PRIME example of what to look for in a partner, and after reading this my standards have yet again been raised. 🥰❤️

This book was overall just diving. The pacing, the the dialogue, the friendships, EVERYTHING. I just loved it. I will absolutely be continuing the series. Meg Jones please continue writing books like this! Tennis is so going to be the sports romance for this summer. And I couldn’t be more thrilled!

Thank you to Avon & Harper Voyager for this arc! All thoughts and opinions are my own! 💌

Game Point by Meg Jones is a friends to lovers tennis romance and oh so wonderful! It is book #2 in the Game, Set, and Match series and I was so excited to receive this ARC.

Dylan has been chasing a Gland Slam trophy for years but always seems to come up just short. Oliver is recently divorced and settled in his career as a tennis pro, but not really finding the passion that he used to. I really loved Dylan and Oliver’s friendship and connection and how their relationship develops throughout the book, on and off the court! It never felt too rushed or like insta-love, just real. I enjoyed how the author explored mental health in athletes and portrayal of women in sports and the media. I have loved both books in this series and need more ASAP!!!

Thank you to NetGalley, Avon/ Harper Voyager, and the author for this e-ARC.

Thank you NetGalley, the publisher and Meg Jones for providing me this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts! The tension! The slow burn! This book had me hooked from the moment I read the first few chapters, I instantly knew I would really enjoy it. Their chemistry was perfectly written and it had the perfect mix of banter and tension. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a sports romance with the perfect amount of tension and chemistry between the characters!

Great sports romance! This book was a little different than previous sports romances that I have read and focused more on sports psychology. Dylan is one of the top women's tennis players, but always tends to end up in second place. Oliver is a men's pro, but is feeling like it may be time to hang up his racket and do something different. After Dylan loses the US Open, she meets Oliver at an after party and they are there for each other over texts and phone calls as friends. Oliver is always supportive of Dylan and encouraging her to believe in herself.

I loved the character development in this book. At first, it was hard for me to relate to Dylan and her mindset. As the book goes on, you can see how stuck she was from her outlook and how much she grows with Oliver's help as her coach. Oliver's support of Dylan is everything to her and his focus on her mental health helps her to change her outlook on tennis as well as her life overall. Oliver's own mental health struggles were also highlighted and the way Dylan supported him and opened up to him was inspiring.

This was my first Meg Jones book and now I am looking forward to reading Clean Point! I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a sports romance with a more introspective look from the athletes point of view!

Thank you to HarperCollins and Avon for this ARC!

I was so incredibly happy to receive this ARC! I absolutely love Meg Jones, loved Clean Point and now can say that I loved this book too! I devoured this book in a single weekend, it was such an easy read. I’m always impressed by authors who know their sport when writing sports romance and you can tell that the author knows her stuff! I loved the play list as it captures the chapters well. I also enjoyed the characters, it was especially nice to get a book from Dylan after we met her in Clean Point and didn’t get the best impression of her. 10/10 would recommend and read again!

I loved Game Point just as much as Clean Point! I loved getting to know Dylan from her POV, you learn why she is the way she is in clean point, I love her drive and sense of humor. Oliver was so supportive and I loved his character as well - a total golden retriever boyfriend but definitely knows what to say in the bedroom 🔥. Reading about their growth together in the sport they love was amazing. They have great banter which is key for me in a book. I am lover of sports romances and both these books have hit all my favorite parts of a sports romances. Also who knew tennis could be so fun! Also loved that we got to see some of Scottie and Nico in this book but without it being overdone like I see in some connected standalones, Overall an enjoyable read with great characters!

As a tennis player, I really enjoy this series! I think I was more invested in Scottie and Nico, but Oliver and Dylan kept me hooked, too!

I would give this 3.75 stars! Game Point is book 2 in the Game, Set, and Match series! After the events of book one with Scottie, I was excited to see Dylan's journey. Dylan is unfortunately stuck in the mindset of always the bridesmaid never the bride in terms of her tennis career. I loved seeing her career and mental health journey progress. I loved how her career wasn't intertwined with her love interest Oliver. They set great boundaries for their relationship and their professional relationship. The chemistry between them was so believable and amazing to read! My only cons are that I wish we explored more of Oliver's life and that they author would have let Dylan reconcile with people earlier in the book. Doing that would have made her more likable from the beginning!

I just finished Game Point by Meg Jones, and it was such a treat! It’s about Dylan, an Aussie tennis player ready to quit after losing her tenth grand slam, and Oliver, a British pro who talks her into one last shot. They team up, and while they’re figuring out the tennis world again, they fall for each other—total friends-to-lovers sweetness. The Australian Open setting was so vivid, like you could feel the heat and hear the crowd. It’s funny, romantic, and has just enough tension to keep you turning pages. Perfect for a cozy read with a cup of tea—I really enjoyed it!

I can imagine this being a great beach read! Paired with a nice playlist to go along with the emotions each chapter conveys.

In this friend to lovers story, Dylan and Oliver team up to help Dylan level up for a better chance at finally winning a tennis trophy. Both players have different attitudes when it comes to training and their mindset so it's interesting to get the different perspectives and also the way gender plays a role.

There was something about the pacing that felt kind of off to me. I think the beginning felt like it was dragging to get to the good parts but around the second and third set rushing to finish up.

Otherwise it was a fairly straightforward read. Funny characters and dynamics while also having serious topics/issues the characters need to work through.

Points for the cute cover.
Points for giving Dylan her own story.
Sure, she was the 'girl you love to hate' in Scottie's story but her character was an intriguing one.
What is her backstory?
This author answers that question in this book.

Though its a dual POV, Dylan's highs and lows are clearly set out from a friend's toxicity, the support from her mum, dad and elder sisters, and her driven nature to compete. Wonderful to see a romance novel that not only recognizes competitiveness is a trait to be applauded in women just as men.

Oliver's character was a bit more flat for me. He's at the top of his game but really don't see other than him verbalizing it, what had him take a step away as a competitor into coaching. Even his interactions with Nico didn't lend much of an understanding into the why.

Meg Jones has (unsurprisingly) done it again! Continuing the Game, Set, and Match series after LOVING Clean Point, I couldn't wait to see what was in store for Dylan and Oliver. Game Point was everything I could have wanted for them and more. Filled with witty banter, captivating competitions, and beautiful character growth, I was never bored reading this book! Not to mention the impeccable playlist that goes along with Game Point. Seriously, nobody does book playlists like Meg Jones! I will 100% be telling everyone I know to read this book.

Didn't realize this was a second book in the series but that didn't take away from this story at all. There are some connections to some characters i didn't understand but that didn't even pull me from the story at all. There is some seriously good tension built into this, so much that halfway through i was begging them to kiss. This has a great friendship to lovers feel about it that I forgot existed. Lods of tennis lingo and real research was done for this book that I appreciate. There's an underlying sadness throughout this book that I can really relate to as I get older and I really appreciate that. Really fun great banter and some really great hot scenes to match. Thans Netgalley for an early copy.

No one does tennis romance like Meg Jones! After meeting both Dylan and Oliver in Clean Point, I was beyond excited for their story. It’s impossible not to root for a redemption story like Dylan’s. After all the second-place finishes, I was cheering her on extra hard in hopes of her finally getting that big win.

I loved the build of this story so much. The friendship and comfort that Dylan and Oliver find in each other is so beautiful. It’s only fitting that a romance blossomed over time. Their dynamic on the court is especially entertaining. Somehow, Oliver managed to get through to the softer side of Dylan, and I adored it.

Once again, I have no notes. Other than that I NEED MORE OF THESE BOOKS!!! I absolutely soaked up every second of this story and will 100% be going back and rereading it again. This is sports romance at its absolute finest!

Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

First off i would like to thank netgalley & Avon for the opportunity to read & review this gifted E-Arc.

Dylan & Oliver
First off i wanna say that i loved these two so much! I did a beta read of this story and knew instantly that Oliver was gonna be my favorite man. I adore watching these two become some type of friends and over months that friendship grew into more and watching these two find ways to remember they was friends while hiding their crushes for each other was so beautiful. I absolutely loved watching Dylan become this absolutely baddie while being a tad softie underneath it all. I loved watching her grow and become more confident in herself. I adore watching Oliver find out what he wants in life and going for it, i loved how he pushed Dylan to get outta her comfort zone and help her see her full potential. I loved how he showed Dylan everything she needed and wouldn't hesitate to do what ever it took for her. These two have a great push and pull along with top notch banter.

5/5 Recommend this book. Meg is absolutely amazing with her writing. Her ability to write head strong woman who know what they want an go for it is beautiful while writing such beautiful golden retriever men who are obsessed with and down bad for their woman. Plus her ability to let you understand tennis if you don't know much is really good also.
