The book had spice but it never took away from the plot line. Dylan is competitive, but through the book you watch her mindset change and she grows as a person. Oliver was a golden MMC. His approach to Dylan is something to strive for, a total green flag. Between the dialogue and the pace you could easily forget you are reading. Can’t wait to continue the series. This wonderful second book in the Game, Set and Match series follows tennis players Dylan and Oliver, as they work together to help Dylan meet her goal of finally winning the finals in a tournament. Both of these characters were very well-written and Dylan especially showed growth as she became a more focused and mentally healthy player. This excellent novel can standalone but I definitely recommend reading the first book, Clean Point, because this tennis world is a lot of fun! This is a great read for anyone who enjoys sports and romance!

Absolutely loved! I didn't like Dylan a whole lot in Clean Point, but this book made me root for her the time. Oliver is the ultimate golden retriever and so adorable! Loved seeing cameos from Scottie and Nico. I can't wait to see what's next!

Dylan is a female tennis pro. She's extremely talented, but she's been viewed in tennis circles as stubborn and combative. The media never paints her in a good light. She also seems to have some sort of mental block/pressure with competing. She beats everyone until the final match and chokes.

Oliver is also a tennis pro who is coming fresh off of a heartbreaking divorce. They meet at a party. They become fast friends, texting and supporting each other. Oliver isn't ready for a relationship since his break up. Authentic friendship and deep mutual respect grows between them. Oliver has lost his passion with competing and decides to try his hand at coaching. He decides that Dylan needs a coach that can help her get over her mental blocks. He becomes her coach and biggest supporter.

I know nothing about tennis, so I was completely lost during those parts, but it didn't distract from the story. The author did capture the intensity of the pressure of professional athletes to succeed. There's definitely romance, but the story also looked at complicated emotions about personal growth, self doubt, identity, ambition, and fighting for what you want and love.

My favorite part of the book? The Author's Note to American Readers. Dead. Laughing out loud.

If it’s a tennis book, I’m going to read it. Dylan is all of us. Who isn’t tired of failure? Of always striving for perfection and being soooo close yet so far? Dylan is stubborn the way all of us can be at times.

And we could all use a bestie who’s also in love with us the way Oliver is.

Was so happy to find this one on Net Galley! I didn’t realize it was book 2 in the series when I started so I’ll definitely be going back to read book #1!

Dylan loses a tennis match and meets Oliver. They make a bet in which win or lose Dylan gets a trophy. Will she win or will she gain so much more? The plot was a good cozy romance with a tennis vibe. It kept me wanting to know what would happen to Dylan and Oliver and if Oliver would finally get her trophy. I immediately liked Dylan and Oliver early into the book. Most of the characters were interesting enough to make me have a like or hate opinion on them. There were some spicy scenes but it's definitely not that bad. Also the book had a dicktionary (her word not mine) where the explicit content can be found.. This book was a great Hallmark movie type of book. I would read more books by this author.

{3.75} This story was electric and I know there are people who don’t like a fmc with an attitude but I LOVED Dylan! I think her grit is so important to the story and it leads to the end of the story and how she persevered through it all.

I loved Oliver and his patience and yearning for Dylan that turned into such an adorable romance story within the tennis.

The matches actually gave me anxiety which I take as a good thing so I loved that aspect to the story!!

Totally would recommend this to any of my sports romance readers, especially the tennis ones, and now I totally want to read about Scottie and Nico’s story too!

I feel like Goldilocks with this book. I’m not a fan of friends-to-lovers but this book was just right.

First and foremost, Meg Jones knows tennis. These books so far have been extremely detailed around playing tennis and the sport’s environment. I appreciate when an author knows what they’re doing instead of just making it a side note that someone plays tennis.

The friends-to-lovers was realistic. I appreciated that they met and became friends in the book. I’ve read too many versions where they met prior to the book taking place and already are romantically interested. It feels like we are missing a part of the story. Also, they argued as friends. It wasn’t some underlying sexual tension thing, it was a genuine argument that friends can have when they care for each other.

The spice was pretty good. I appreciate an author who can mix it up with each couple instead of giving the same copy-and-paste scenes between books.

The only thing I wanted more of was a romantic decoration. While they confessed things throughout the book, I didn’t feel like there were as many swoon-worthy quotes that had me gushing over their romance.

In Game Point we have Dylan a tennis player who is cutthroat on the court but always seems to lose her cool and comes in 2nd in every major tournament. Oliver is a man of yearning and banter I love him. His journey to coaching and seeing him really believe in Dylan was heartwarming. The relationship between the characters was definitely slow burn range but something I really enjoyed especially when came to the public. Overall I would recommend.

I didn’t feel as connected with the characters as I thought I would, but it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment of reading this book!

I will keep this brief as to not give anything big away, but this book was lacking. I felt the characters were very basic with nothing that made them three dimensional or made them feel real. I had trouble connecting to the clients or feeling their chemistry. It also dragged on a bit, and (being American) some of the terminology or words just didn’t make sense to me.

Making my way through this book but I really wanted to go ahead and share some of my thoughts! I absolutely adore this book already! It's such a cute little romcom for the summer and I love how easy it is throughout the book! Normally I don't really go for friends-to-lovers books (I'm more of an enemies-to-lovers girly) but I do really like this book! Also, sports romances just hit the spot sometimes!

Perfect for Sarah Adams fans and/or Liz Tomforde fans!!

This was such a FUN romance read.

When I read Clean Point, I absolutely fell in LOVE with the characters and Meg Jones's writing, so getting to read an ARC of Game Point was beyond exciting.

Seeing Dylan's POV, after meeting her in Clean Point, helped me to really understand her actions in Clean Point. Moreover, seeing her growth really made me root for her, and made me genuinely happy to see her happy.

Game Point has all the YEARNING, without it feeling overbearing and like you want to scream at the characters for being so obtuse. The pacing is perfection. The only critique I have with Game Point is that it doesn't have the emotional depth that I loved about Clean Point. But, overall, I loved it and had such a good time reading Game Point.

I fear I will never shut up about this book 📚🤯. Oliver Anderson is the standing champion 🏆 of book boyfriend of the year 💘. I will be the first to tell you I do not read fast 🐢... but I ate this up in like 2 days 😳📖. I loved it ❤️. One more time for those in the back: I. Loved. It. 😍🔥 So much so that Wimbledon is next week 🎾 and I plan on watching what I can in EST time ⏰📺.

Dylan is cutthroat on the tennis court 🎾😈 but always seems to lose her cool 😤 and come in 2nd 🥈 in every major tournament. She is also a bit of a hothead 🔥 and will destroy you if you tell her no 💢. Oliver is a pro-tennis player himself 🧑‍🦰🎾 but is becoming bored 😐 and going through a lot in his personal life 🌧️.

Could becoming Dylan’s friend and helping her with her game be the push she needs to get that trophy? 🏆✨ Will growing into something more cause them to burn and crash?

Meg Jones has this way of writing FMCs that is a work of art 🎨👑. Many sports romances make the MMC the star 🌟. Not in Clean Point or Game Point. These ladies are the athletes 💪🎾, the boys are supporting them 👏. We love strong, independent, badass women 💥💃 that are unapologetic about who they are and what they want 💯.

I really enjoy reading books by Meg Jones. I also love a good tennis romance. So reading Game Point was a no brainer. Though this is technically book two, following Clean Point, it can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone. This slow burn story had so much tension between the characters. I love that there was so much tennis in this book. So often, sports romances put the sport in the background and it's easy to wonder if the author really knows the sport or if they're just jumping on the bandwagon. But with Game Point, it was clear that Meg Jones knows her tennis and prioritized the sport in this particular sports romance. I hope she brings us more in the future!

As a big fan of tennis, I thoroughly enjoyed this! I've been in need of a fun sports romance recently and Game Point did the trick. The writing was fun, characters were enjoyable, and I was thoroughly entertained by the romance.

I really enjoyed getting Dylan’s story in this one. I always love a good black cat FMC. I also loved the progression from acquaintances to friends to lovers. 🥰

I did like the first book in the series better, but this is still a great addition to the series. So happy there were so many Nico & Scottie cameos in this one though!

Everything I want in a romcom. I love love LOOOOVE Oliver. I love his supportive friend vibes, how he's not your typical softie pushover but still has charisma and cocky charms. One thing about me? I'm going to ride hard for my bitter wounded bird FMCs. Dylan went through out, and all that sass was hard earned and her HEA was hard won and so sweet and satisfying.

I’ve been a Meg fan since her first book and this one absolutely reminded me why! Friends to lovers is my favorite trope and I’m very picky about it when I’m reading and I loved this one. The way they quietly rooted for each other from the very beginning, to still keeping that foundation of friendship even after they fell in love. The way they both went on their own separate journeys to find themselves in the tennis world as well as their journey as coach and player.

Additionally, as someone who is not super familiar with tennis, I had no problem following the matches that took place throughout the book!
