Absolutely LOVE This Series!!! 10 Stars! Please release Volume 4 soon. I was not ready for the cliffhanger.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Desire is an enchantment. Secrets are a curse.
The Suitor Armor saga continues with Suitor Armor: Volume Three! These published editions of the Webtoon original comic place absolute spellbinding joy into the hands of readers, and I can’t get ahold of them fast enough! Volume Three picks up the thread where Suitor Armor: Volume Two left off (which I reviewed here, in case you missed it): Lady Lucia must finally confront the harsh realities of being a fairy-in-hiding in a kingdom at war.
In Suitor Armor: Volume Three, the proverbial gloves come off. The simmering tensions that had previously been confined to shadow come roaring to the forefront. Just as Modeus and Lucia’s feelings for one another become more complex, their entire world is knocked off axis by the conflicting powers that pull the strings in their lives.
Difficult decisions lay ahead.
“After paying a visit to an illegal market on the outskirts of the kingdom, per direction from her imprisoned faerie ally Quinn, Lucia learns that she has been living in complete Fairies are being tortured, mutilated, and killed as a consequence of the war. And the elves that she has seen humans taking as servants and laborers are just faeries who have had their wings forcibly removed. Lucia is ridden with immense guilt and emotional turmoil that she has survived for so long in secrecy as one the last of the monarch faeries with her wings still intact.
Bearing the weight of her newfound knowledge, amidst the arrival of King Reimund’s terrifyingly suspicious uncle Lord Ricon, Lucia fears she is no longer safe both within and beyond the castle. Modeus continues to serve as a pillar of comfort and safety for her, but he begins to develop his own complicated emotions while wrestling his true violent inclinations. Lucia’s relationship with Kirsi is strained as the future queen begins to assert herself and the power of her status, leaving Lucia feeling utterly alone.
Complete with original behind-the-scenes content and a bonus storyline exclusive to the book, this thrilling and suspenseful third volume includes episodes 39-51 of the greatly successful Webtoon webcomic.”
Suitor Armor: Volume Three is definitely a pivotal point in the series that takes it beyond whimsical entertainment and into a much higher tier of fantasy. The scale of this third-installment is much grander. The stakes are higher. The depth of the lore is greater. The lighter romance of the first two books gives way to darkness and a sobering edge.
Suitor Armor is such a likable text as it deals in an expectation of whimsy. The art style is, quite literally, wide-eyed and innocent. It’s an incredibly exciting development to not only see Purpah successfully translate harrowing events through their unique lens, but to remove the rose-colored romance filters that readers may be wearing. Volume Three places Lady Lucia and Modeus in the wider context of their world; in a sense, both are second-citizens and subject to the whims of those in charge. Expectation seems to pull them farther away from what they want. Necessity may drive a further wedge as grave reality closes in on the private intimacy they share.
Spice, Triggers, and Tropes [Warning: This section contains spoilers]
Volume Three is considerably darker than the previous installments. Details of the fairy war and the horrible torments endured by those captured (or just trying to coexist) are presented in much more graphic detail. While the romantic elements remain well-restrained, the darker elements of Suitor Armor: Volume Three may escalate the comic to more mature audiences.
As always, keep in mind that Suitor Armor is a developing work and these observations, while true for the series as of now, may expire as the plot progresses.
Readers should be advised of the following content warnings:
- References to homophobia, prejudice, violence, and mutilation
- Illustrations of war and violence
Final Thoughts:
In this third installment, Purpah treats readers to a bittersweet read. Muddying the placid waters of whimsical romance with a weighty narrative of sacrifice and identity. This is where the rubber meets the road, so to speak. If readers are not already spellbound by Suitor Armor, there will be no going back after reading Volume Three.
Suitor Armor: Volume Three is available wherever books are sold.
Huge thanks to Ten Speed Graphic for sending me a copy!

A fantastic continuation of Suitor Armor, this volume covers chapters 39 - 51 of the phenomenal WEBTOON. These chapters cover a darker point in the story as we see Lucia continue to struggle with her life and everything she’s known crumbling into pieces. I think that these chapters do a good job of trying to bring our character characters out of those dark periods with wholesome moments between Lucia & Modeus and Peres & Sir Baynard.

4.5 stars - I say this with every review, but I am just loving this series so much. I feel welcomed back in every volume as it always feels so wholesome. However, I will say that this one was definitely one of the more darker volumes and I think that is why I enjoyed this one the most. There is more world-building in this one so if you like the romance in here more than anything else, you have been warned BUT I feel as though it added so much to Lucia and Modeus relationship and the stakes of it moving forward. I find this series continues to surprise me with how much I care about our main characters and I really feel tense for what's to come next.

I swear, this series gets better and better as time goes on!! As I read these volumes, they seem to be so perfectly timed for the craziness in our world as well, which is just icing on the cake.
This volume includes episodes 39 through 51, so my review will be based on just those.
One of my favorite parts of this entire series is watching Modeus’s and Lucia’s interactions as their budding relationship grows. I thought Modeus waiting for Lucia all night to present her with a small date type situation on the balcony, was incredibly sweet and showed that he is more than just a hunk of metal with no feeling; I mean, we already knew that, but this was verging on book boyfriend status so I can’t wait to see how he “evolves” next. I absolutely loved that Baynard taught him how to slow dance so he could dance with Lucia on the balcony too!! These 4 (the two couples) are seriously my favorite characters in this series!!! I also really loved how Modeus claimed he thought he was really made for Lucia, but she sweetly declined that statement telling him that he was made for no other reason than to be himself. She really is a champion for everyone who may need one in their corner and I love her for that.
Speaking of Modeus “evolving”, can we please talk about the snark he is starting to have, especially towards Lord Ricon (aka the bad guy in this one)?? I loved his one liner about only talking when he had something to say but he had nothing to say to Ricon. THAT WAS A BOSS LINE!!! Basically, dude, you are not worthy of my words.
I loved learning more about Lucia’s backstory and more about her true self that even she didn’t know. I love collecting all the puzzle pieces on these characters, even if sometimes they are hard for our characters to hear. While this revolution opened Lucia’s eyes, fully taking off her rose-colored glasses along with other events within the story, it will only harden her resolve going forward, I just know it. She is so strong and I can’t wait for her to spread her wings 😉
I can’t leave a review without talking about Peres and Sir Baynard. I love these two so much and I loved seeing their relationship in the past. I loved learning that Peres gave Baynard the idea to play as a jokester knight so he didn’t have to go back to the war front; if he could make the nobles love his entertainment, they would want to keep him for themselves. I swear these two are so sweet and so perfect for each other, as well as incredibly smart.
Lastly, these episodes leave us with everyone separated from each other. I truly believe this series is so on the nose about everything happening in the world, first with the lack of correct information and clear biases and then separation of those who are in the know so they can’t band together. It’s all a little eerie and I can’t wait to see the wonderful ending I know is coming, which will act as my reprieve from real life events that are lining up scarily.
Thank you to NetGalley, Clarkson Potter/Ten Speed Press, and Purpah for the opportunity to read this book. The thoughts and opinions expressed above are honest and my own.

Wowza! I love this graphic novel so much. This is a surprisingly deep installment in the series, moving beyond pure fantasy to deliver a powerful story about self-discovery, the future of love, and the horrors of bigotry.
The exploration of racial persecution in this volume is fantastic—bold, in-your-face, and undeniable. Purpah doesn't shy away from the difficult themes, presenting a narrative that is both heartbreaking and deeply relevant.
While the social commentary is excellent, there is a more subtle and, for me, more fascinating exploration going on here. At its heart, this is a love story between a fairy and an artificial construct. But this is so much more than a simple fantasy romance; it's a brilliant and insightful look into our society's growing interaction with AI.
Part of what makes this so compelling is watching an artificial construct learn about humanity, navigate a complex society, and struggle to find words for its own burgeoning feelings. It is not just a story about falling in love; it is a story about the very discovery of love.
Oh. My. God. The ending... No! Why did you do this to me, Purpah? I was so completely immersed in this book that I didn't even realize I was near the final page. And then—done. It is an absolute, gut-punch of a cliffhanger.
This was a great story, and I cannot wait for the next installment. The Suitor Armor series is officially one of my all-time favorite graphic novels.

As Lucia digs deeper into the devastating truths buried under her luxurious life in court, the line between friends and foes blurs. I am loving the characters and world-building and look forward to the next volume and all the heartbreak and big feelings (but like, in a good way) as the story develops.

When I found volume one of this series at my local library, I picked it up on a whim earlier this summer. I have since devoured the first two volumes and received an ARC of the third. This series is beautifully illustrated and the story has grown so much over the three volumes. In the third volume the story takes a much darker turn, but one that answers many of my questions that have been building over the last two books. The art continues to be beautiful! I adore many of our characters and enjoy the topics this book explores within the fantasy kingdom. The cliffhanger at the end of this book has left me on the edge of my seat. I need more now!!

This volume was so so heartbreaking, but still beautiful in its way. Lucia is slowly learning just how sheltered of a life she's lived. Finally seeing how not just fairies, but also elves, are treated is equal amounts disgusting and horrifying. Seeing her have to come to terms with her own privilege is really eye-opening.
Lucia also is realizing who her true friends are, and what they're willing to do to make her happy. I absolutely adore Baynard and Peres! They're precious and I love them too pieces.

Another phenomenal volume of my new favorite graphic novel series. I love Lucia and Modeus and this volume delivered with the cute moments, deep connection and dark themes that have been building in the first 2 installments. The ending of this one was so good and it just makes me so excited for what is to come. The art is gorgeous and the color palette perfectly complements the art and story. If you like fantasy, romance, faeries and magic definitely give this graphic novel series a try!
I received an eARC thanks to Netgalley and Ten Speed Press. All opinions are my own.

*****Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of Suitor Armor: Volume 3 by Purpah in exchange for an honest review.
I’m definitely eager to see where Lucia’s story heads next. I don’t usually lean toward graphic novel–style books, but this series is a fun exception. Quick to read yet emotionally compelling. Volume 3 enhances the court intrigue and Lucia’s internal conflict without losing the slow-burn chemistry with Modeus. The artwork is expressive, and the color work beautifully sets the mood. A quick, satisfying installment that leaves me excited for the next volume.

This one read like a train and hit like a train wreck. My heart near the end seemed to shatter in a million pieces.
But the bonus chapter was fun!

I love this series and cannot wait to grab all the installments of this series for my collection. I'm caught up to the most recent chapter but rereading it is just as good as the first time

Suitor Armor, Vol. 3 deepens the intrigue, heartbreak, and tension in Purpah’s lush romantasy Webtoon series, delivering an emotional punch that lingers long after the final panel. This volume takes a darker, more introspective turn as Lucia is forced to confront the horrifying realities of a war she never fully understood—and the truth shakes her to her core.
The revelations about the fae and their suffering are gut-wrenching, adding gravity and urgency to Lucia’s personal journey. Her guilt over surviving with her wings intact while others have been stripped of their freedom and identities brings real emotional depth to the story. This volume doesn’t shy away from trauma or moral complexity, and it’s all the stronger for it.
Lucia’s bond with Modeus remains a highlight—quietly tender and complicated by his own inner turmoil. Watching him struggle between duty, emotion, and his more violent programming adds nuance to a character that could have easily been just a stoic protector. Meanwhile, tensions with Kirsi introduce another layer of conflict, reminding us that even in royal circles, friendship and power rarely coexist peacefully.
Purpah’s artwork continues to shine, with expressive character designs, dramatic visual storytelling, and a beautiful balance of light and shadow that reflects the growing stakes. The included bonus storyline and behind-the-scenes content are a treat, offering fans a deeper glimpse into the worldbuilding and creative process.
Volume 3 is the most emotionally charged installment yet—rich with world-shattering truths, shifting loyalties, and inner conflict. It’s a gripping continuation that sets the stage for even greater rebellion, romance, and reckoning ahead.

I love this series so much. Each volume is better than the last. The artwork is wonderful and I've really started to care about this cast of characters. The mystery behind Modeus is so intriguing - I want to know more about his creation. The commentary on othering is also so stark against everything. I cannot wait to read the next installment.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this book, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I ended up finishing the book in just a few sittings and really enjoyed the story and characters.

“You do not have to exist for anyone or anything, you are simply allowed to exist.”
The plot kicks into high gear in this volume, and things are getting crazy! Lucia continues to be unflinchingly herself, and I love watching her personality shine through in this installment. We’ve seen her be kindhearted and curious, but in this volume we see her fierce and fire-y side as well. We dive deeper into the fairy world and the harsh truths beyond the castle walls.
This series truly delivers it all: political intrigue, conflict between species, heartfelt friendships, beautiful life lessons, lovable characters, and a well thought out plot. With new characters being introduced, friendships being tested, and secrets coming to light in this installment, I’m excited to see where Purpah will take this story!

I love this series and the twist and turns. I can’t wait to find out more about how he is made and whether their love story can progress to something fruitful.

I truly love this story so much. I think the concept is unique twist on all things fantasy yet original enough that it stands on its own. Volume 3 hits hard though.
Lucia learns not only about the who "V" is, but also who she might be. Not to mention even more answers for the supposed "war". I honestly just wanted to wrap her in a hug watching her go through this turmoil of her entire world shattering. Especially when it comes to her and the princess's friendship. I was so angry on how that argument (though it was well needed) went. I truly am glad even in these uncertain times she has Modeus in her corner. Also, Baynard and Peres might be one of my favorite side couples AND characters I have ever read about. I'm constantly biting my nails hoping they can live in peace, but I think things are going to get worse before they get better.
This is such a beautifully done graphic novel. The art is stunning. The writing is so thought-provoking and the characters are so multifaceted. I'm so excited and nervous to see where the next volume takes us.

In this third volume of Suitor Armor, we're introduced to the FMC's awakening to the unjust and prejudiced world she inhabits, all while navigating the secret of her own identity within the human realm. This volume delves into themes of discrimination, the hegemony of the human race over the fairies, the brutal subjugation the fairies endure, and the pervasive fear of being caught in a web of dual identity. However, the FMC has a trustworthy ally, a non-human being who protects her interests and is also learning to FEEL and SEE her beyond her fears, one day at a time. The volume concludes with a hint of what the future holds: whose lie will be unraveled—that of the FMC or the humans at the "warfront" fighting an illusory war designed to demonize the fairies? We do not know and can only patiently await the next volume.
This book was an interesting read for me, a departure from my usual novel-reading since this is a graphic novel. I appreciated the organization of the panels and the flow of the conversation bubbles. It was easy to follow each character's conversation and train of thought, without detracting from the artwork. There were moments without text where it was remarkably easy to follow and interpret the emotions of the characters, especially when they learned about horrific historical events or when planning to bring two "lovers" together. I believe the drawing of the uncle was particularly well executed. I HAVE MANY THOUGHTS ABOUT HIS CHARACTERIZATION. I can definitely foresee the significant role he plays and will continue to play in the next volume. I was so afraid for the FMC whenever he was near her. And I suppose this truly highlights how impactful this book was to me; it was a moving story, and I eagerly anticipate future volumes.
Simply put, this volume is an instruction in stealth while being highly vulnerable to destructive forces.
