I just love this story! I’m reading it on Webtoons, and Purpahjas crafted a gorgeous graphic story, with really interesting characters and conflicts. The story is even better in graphic novel form, with the art larger and more detail visible. I love all the little character touches, like freckles, hair texture, and costume design. Great story and lovely presentation.

“I am good at waiting when it is waiting to see you”
Suitor Armor: Volume 3 is a fantastic continuation of Purpah’s story of Lucia, Modeus, and the “war” between humans and fairies. Lucia discovers a harrowing history that turns her entire world upside down, while Modeus searches for words to adequately communicate his growing knowledge—and feelings.
This volume, like the others, is beautifully written and illustrated, however, it incorporates more haunting themes. There is still plenty of longing romance, and the ball scene is one of my favorites in the whole series so far. I give Volume 3 5/5 stars. I wish I had more of Modeus’ patience, because it will be difficult for me to wait for Volume 4!
Thank you to NetGalley, Purpah, and Clarkson Potter/Ten Speed Press for the arc copy of the book in exchange for my review!

Thank you Clarkson Potter/Ten Speed Press and NetGalley for the advanced electronic review copy of this book. This is the third installment of the Suitor Armor series which is based on the Webtoon webcomic and it continues with a lot of conflict and tension. Here, Lucia finally find out what happens to fairies who live among humans, meet Reimund’s fairy hunter uncle, and try to decide who is trustworthy enough to keep her secret. And that cliffhanger ending… Can’t wait to find out how the story continues.

This graphic novel series continues to delight me. Even though this volume is darker in tone and subject matter than the previous two installments, I really love how the world is expanding, and we as readers are getting more information about the war between the fairies and humans, as well as diving deeper into the character's backgrounds and relationships. AND THAT ENDING MADE ME GASP!!!!!! I cannot wait for Volume 4!!!

Lady Lucia has learned of a way for fae to hide among the human, but it’s gruesome and not at all what she expected. Horrified by what she learns, she heads back to court alongside Modeus, determined to continue living in hiding. But the more she sees how much her own world view has been shattered, and the more she sees how everyone else is believing in the lies that have been told told to them, the more she grows to resent the life she has been living.
I kept telling myself that something bad was coming, but that’s not how I thought that was going to go. The way elves are created is so heartbreaking, and the way Lucia deals with it is gut wrenching. The whole scene between her and Modeus outside of the ball was some of the most beautiful moments. I was practically in tears while reading that moment. And then there was that ending. OH MY GOD HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT INSTALLMENT?!

I'm so excited to continue following Lucia's tale. Starting off in an illegal market, she learns a dark truth, another one, I should say, about the humans in charge. Then, there's a new visitor with some awful things about himself who takes an interest in her (ew.) And finally, we've got a royal ball where shenanigans ensue.
The art continues to be amazing, beautiful work. And the story has kept me engaged, I can't wait to see what happens next. The growing relationship between Modeus and Lucia is really sweet, and I'm excited to see where it goes.
Also, the bonus chapter with our knight and squire couple is super cute too.

This is slowly becoming one of my favourite graphic novel series, the artwork is top tier, the characters are the cutest. I love love love Lucia and Modeus!!!!! The series keeps getting better and better and I can't wait to keep reading more of these characters!!

I'm loving how this series is progressing. The cliffhanger at the end of this one was diabolical, and I cannot wait for the next installment! The characters and storyline are so well-done and the art so gorgeous! I really can't wait!

I am such a big fan of Suitor Armor and admire Purpah's art so much! It was a delight to read Volume 3 of this story, which is also my favourite, precisely for the amazing cliffhanger and the moments leading up to it! This is such a strong volume with the secrets revealed, very important flashback scenes which bring a lot of substance to Lucia and I LOVE Modeus! The art is brilliant and I really liked the layout!
I look forward to the next volumes!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Absolutely love this series. A great addition to the physical collection, and the artwork is amazing!

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC! So excited that the series just keeps getting better! The artwork is great and the story is wonderful and what a freaking ending. Ready for the next book please 😉

Oh my goodness...this book was so good!! I was familiar with the title on Webtoons but had not read it yet. I'll definitely follow it now! I instantly was smitten with Lucia and Modeus and their Beauty and the Beast vibes. Beautiful Lucia had no idea exactly what she was,and Modeus, who was created to destroy her kind go on a journey of discovery together. I can't wait to see how this turns out.
The colors are vibrant and the artwork is lush and gorgeous. The story will grab you and keep your attention.
Than you to Netgalley and Ten Speed Press for this arc. All opinions expressed are my own

I absolutely love this series. The art is beautiful, the storyline is suspenseful, so many of the characters are loveable, and even those that aren't are still complex and fleshed out. This third installment is just as good as the prior two and I can't wait for the next!

The art is stunning. The colors really add so much drama. I couldn't put it down once I got started. It is sad, but exciting as the pieces come together. I haven't read the webcomic, but I might have to just so I can see what happens next.
5 stars

I feel so bad for Lucia. With everything she learns, it's almost like she's losing herself when it should be the opposite. Ricon can go fall off a very tall cliff for all I care about that man. My last thoughts are that Kirsi is a total beotch and she doesn't deserve Lucia.

This review is for volume three of Suitor Armor.
I continue to absolutely adore this story. In this volume we start getting more tension and drama with most of our main characters.
Now that we are nearing the wedding there is more tension between or main girls and what will become of their friendship once one is queen and the other is focused on learning to be a mage.
While Lucia is also processing new found knowledge of the elves and fairies , we have a new player in the mix Lord Ricon , the kings uncle, shows up. Not only does he show up , he comes with slaves in toe. Fairies, who have had their wings and magic removed.
Modeus continues to learn and feel. Lucia and modeus continue to get closer in their friendship. This however is not seen as a good thing by many in the castle. Will Lucia be able to count on her found family to stay by her side through all the new developments? She is no longer safe in the castle with Lord Ricon around, he has made it clear he wants something from her and hes very interested in modeus.
Were left with the big question of how Modeus came to be, and why would it be wrong for people to find out.
The story continues to draw you in, make you feel and connect with characters you may have over looked at the start. The writing and dialogue continues to be fantastic. The way Modeus is written is truly fantastic, he goes from child like wonder to big world issues and you can see him, his speech and his feelings truly grow. Hes becoming more than a knight made to protect some ones physical well being and is also becoming some one who is a huge emotional support as well.
Thank you NetGalley and Clarkson Potter/Ten Speed Press | Ten Speed Graphic for the digital ARC.

The artstyle still stuns me everytime. I cannot wait for her newer work to come out to see the difference in artstyle or at least how the characters change from the beginning.

Suitor Armor Vol. 3 delivers powerful twists and emotional depth that hit right in the heart. The characters face real, painful choices, and the stakes have never felt higher. Some pacing bumps aside, it’s a beautifully drawn, heartfelt chapter that left me eager—and a little anxious—for what comes next.

Give me the next book nowww
I can't even write a review, I need to know what happens next so I guess I'm running off to Webtoon...
Thank you to NetGalley for providing an advanced digital copy of this manga.
edit: I'm absolutely invested (reading on Webtoon) and I'm sad that this is ongoing because the politics, the plot, the emotional investment.... I'm literally being tortured HELP

Heat Factor: Do Modeus and Lucia almost kiss!? Do they!?
Character Chemistry: Modeus and Lucia continue to be adorable AF, but everything else is stressing me out.
Plot: Lucia learns about the history of the faerie/human wars, and things do not go well from there.
Overall: OMG! WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN!?
We have reached the point in the story where everything is intense. I remain extremely invested.
At this point in the narrative, we can see the characters falling into two camps: empathetic vs. blinded by their own privilege. Obviously, Lucia is leading the camp of empathy, and with her is Modeus, who was designed to kill faeries and is a magical construct himself, as well as the knight and his squire. On the other hand, we have the royalty. The castle’s mage is a wild card; we can see some embers of caring in him, but on the other hand, we can’t doubt that when it comes to the point he’ll betray Lucia in a heartbeat.
Then we get the real villain of this piece: the king’s uncle Ricon. He’s the worst. He’s gonna do bad things, and I’m not okay with it.
With Ricon’s arrival, we also get further hints that Modeus’s origin story is going to be really ugly, but the castle mage still hasn’t explained just what happened that will make us dislike them after all. The mystery is killing me.
The primary focus of this volume is Lucia’s exposure to the story of the human-faerie conflict and the fallout of that discovery. At the same time she feels like she must act against the injustice in the world, she finds herself in a position where Kirsi removes all illusion that they are anything approaching equals or even friends. (Mostly because Kirsi can only envision herself in a position of control over Lucia.) It gets really intense.
And then there’s a cliffhanger.
But in all seriousness, I’m loving this series, and now I have to know how it ends.
