This is another typical Kate Archer book with lovable, sometimes peculiar characters and funny staff that not always behave as they’d be expected to. A light but entertaining, clean read that isn’t serious.
Grace’s father is a duke and he is very eccentric and quirky. His own sister even calls him a lunatic, trying to get things straightened out but she’s rebuffed every step of the way. He thinks everything in life is a joke, he makes fun of everything and everybody and takes nothing ever serious. So you can imagine what his seven daughters are like with a father like that. They’re brought up with lots of freedom and the staff too are permitted a lot of liberties. The whole family is enjoying life a lot.
They all travels to London for Grace to find a husband, and while traveling there they meet Miles, viscount Dashlend, his eccentric French valet and and eventually his elderly cousin Lady Margaret. She is the true hero in this book! She’s just marvelous and brings the whole lot together. She reassures the youngest daughter Valor that monsters under your bed can be chased away, she points out to her cousin Miles that the true nature of a crazy family can be judged by their treatment of a three legged dog, and has a hand in bringing everyone together.
A book full of fun, ridiculousness, laughter, crazy staff, a bit of a villain and games of Fact Or Fib.
This is book 2 in the Senseless Complications series but can be read as a standalone. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

This was a sweet, funny romance and perfect if you are looking for a book that isn't too serious or complicated. I liked Grace and her family very much but wished they had been kinder to the working class. I know most of their hijinks (primarily their father's) are done with no bad intentions, but it still irked me a little. If they want to punch up and make jokes at the expense of other members of the aristocracy I have no problem with that, but the jokes they play on innkeepers (whose businesses rely heavily on keeping rich customers happy) is uncalled for. But I digress, back to this story. I liked Grace and Dashlend and following the development of their relationship. I also liked that the more we got to know the Duke the more you saw how much he loved his daughters and that he was actually a pretty good guy in the end. Moreau was too over the top for me and I really do not understand how Dashlend and his staff put up with him. I thought Montclave's final action to keep Grade and Dashlend apart came out of nowhere and seemed too much even for him. And although I did not like him, I do not think he deserved the ending he ultimately received (his fate ended up being very Edgar Allan Poe-ish). One of my favorite parts in the entire book was when Lady Margaret got one over on Mrs. Right - I know Mrs. Right's actions are all in service to protecting/caring for the girls, but it was still nice to have her reminded she wasn't quite the genius she thought she was. Luckily, in the end, Dashlend was able to get the Duke and Grace to not only listen to this side, but to also realize his actions and feelings toward Grace were genuine. The twist at the end explaining the cause of Grace's unsteadiness was pretty funny. I was glad we got an explanation because throughout the book I was trying to figure out what condition she had. I'm definitely curious as to what the rest of the Duke's daughters will encounter on their own paths to the altar.

The title, 'Lady Graceless,' describes this book perfectly. I had not read book one in the series before reading this, though I didn't feel lost. The father is a riot of fun, and it's no wonder the daughters turned out as they did. It was a little difficult to keep track of all the characters at first, but it got easier as the story progressed. A cast of eccentric characters, a fun meet-cute for the H and h, and a sweet romance make for an entertaining historical romance adventure.

Another fun and funny adventure for the Nicolet sisters. Grace, who is not what her name portrays finds and falls in love with Miles and heir to an earldom. Except Miles cousin decides that he is a better fit as an heir. Lots of laughs, adventures, misadventures and funny moments later, Grace and Miles make it to the alter.

Lady Graceless is a joy to read! Her father, the Duke is an absolute hoot. I laughed so much through this story. Archers writing style is filled with humor. Nelson, the dog, was a wonderful addition to the story with his three legs. I can't wait for Valor's story as she is an imp of a little sister!

Thank you NetGalley. This series is so much fun as the Duke makes you think he doesn't care for any of his daughters but he is right there to take care of them when they need him. This story is about his second daughter in her first season. Grace is a little wobbly on her feet which she worries about all the time. On their way to London for the current season. The Duke decides to treat the girls with a view of the ocean. As they get there two men are just coming out of the water with their boat turned over. Viscount Dashlend and his valet has been in some rough weather and he is thinking about getting married to produce a n heir. His cousin is hoping that the viscount will drown so he can be his uncle's heir. As the season begins Dashlend is being more interested in Grace and his cousin is trying ways to get between them. As the season goes on and the family meets the two men they are up and down in which one is the sincere one.

Loved It!

The fun and laughter continues in this fabulously mad funny adventure of love and mayhem in this second storyline from the series you won’t want to miss!

It’s Lady Grace’s turn into society and her journey into love and a HEA with Miles, Viscount Dashlend with a few twists along the way which will keep you entertained from the first to last page.

The Duke of Pelham and family are on their way to London again, this time for Lady Grace's season. On their way the Duke takes them to see the sea, where they happen upon Miles, Lord Dashlend and his very morose valet, Moreau.

They have just been washed ashore after a boating calamity and Miles is 1. Glad to be alive and 2. Thinks it might be time to get married and get to work on an heir as he's an only child and the next in line to the Earldom after him is his quite unpleasant cousin.

He is immediately taken with Grace. The cousin, a rather shabby Baron, does his best to get in the way.

This is a funny and sweet book. The Duke is a great character and we've got a slightly dotty Aunt and various other characters thrown in the increasingly chaotic mix.

I recommend! The first book in the series is also very funny and I'd say read that one first.

When Grace and her eccentric family head to London for her Season, they stop along the way to see the ocean. They did not expect to find a ship that has wrecked on the beach with two men. Miles is determined after his mishap that he will wed and get on with getting an heir, so his evil cousin does not inherit. Upon seeing Grace, he is instantly attracted to her. Can they stop his cousin from interfering with their courtship? I received an ARC from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for my honest review.
