High-octane, fast-paced, and danger-laden.
There’s no escape in this continuous action novel. Mills rocks the scenes with her treacherous mountain climbing scenes and purpose-driven search for an abducted child.
Therese Palmer, a wilderness survival specialist, receives a request to track kidnappers under the radar of authorities through the mountainous terrain of the Guadalupe Mountains in New Mexico in search of an abducted child. Needing the expertise of someone with crisis negotiation experience and expert use of a firearm who could handle the wilderness, she reaches out to Texas Ranger Captain Blane Gardner.
Blane balks at the idea of them going alone through the dense forest but finally agrees to accompany her. Only he has rules of his own. Therese won’t back down despite the attacks. Losing her younger sister is the driving force that presses her forward into unthinkable dangers in search of the missing child.

A page turning novel with deep twist in the plot. A huge reminder of God's grace and His answers to our prayers. Many deep thoughts about the story.
